I am appalled that JC Penny has chosen someone like Ellen Degenerate to represent it's family business. As of right now, our normal moral family will not enter a JC Penny store. Ellen does not represent any of the moral and ethical views of normal decent Americans, let alone consumer customers.

I am a JC Penny credit card holder from what society calls a traditional family; yet I am outraged to think people are protesting Ellen as your spokes person. I believe we are all created equally, and everyone I know either has gay friends or relatives and none of us should judge another. Don't be pressured to fire Ellen. This is 2012 and the world is made up of various people, and those who are good people are good people no matter their sexual orientation. I also love what JC Penny's has done in the last year or so, as I look at my new sofa from JC Penny's , my wooden blinds, clothes, etc. Keep it up and don't cave to people who believe they are superior to the rest of us.

i have moved from where i used to live. i used to get coupons in the mail all the time . now that i have moved here i have not got a single one. can you please start sending me my coupons on a reguclare basis now . iam a 45 year shopper of jcp and i would like to start getting the coupons. i do not have a credit card but i still got coupons my new adderss is 1526 karin street ironton ohio 45638

I do not agree with you using Ellen as your spokesperson. She is not fashionable and she flaunts herself as openly gay. Personaly I dont see how she is qualifed to be a spokeswoman since she cannot tell me about fashion since she appears to have no fashion sense. I feel a gay person from upper management did it to further the gay agenda. But just like in idol when they wanted a gay judge she had no music experience. It is a shame you can get a job based on your sexual orientation being gay. But if you are straight you cant have the job. Someone need to call the EEOC because I think her choice shows DISCRIMINATION. YOU MUST BE GAY TO GET THE JOB !! Typically, anyone who does not like DeGeneres is a hate monger. It seems if the population as a whole does not approve of anyone for any reason without the permission of a leftist group..................it's hate. I don't think so but I do think that when someone steps foreward to be a spokesperson for some group and when I am less than enamored of said group, I've the right to express it and since it's ecome an issue......................to stop shpping at J C Penny.........................a stockholder who feels that you are on the wrong track!

The screaming commercial is so irritating, what were you thinking? I have to mute the tv during the annoying commercial. I immediatly threw away the new catalog I got in the mail and will never set foot in JC Penny again, all because of that idiotic commercial.

How dare you resort to bigoted rhetoric? Ellen Degeneres chooses an alternate lifestyle, but unless she pushes on you, leave her be. I am sick and tired of people's differences being highlighted. Why don't you instead highlight the wonderful things she does for others? I guess I know which side of the track you are on, and I will be stopping any business with you.

Although I love Penney's, that commercial has got to go!! This is about the most annoying thing I have ever heard, and I see no use in using the screaming to draw attention to the commercial. I will turn away from companies for that!

STOP THE SCREAMING COMMERCIAL! Every time it comes on, I have to MUTE my TV or change the channel. Whoever works for your advertising department should be fired. That add is obnoxious, annoying, and not creative at all!

The Million Moms of wacky Texas need to come into the 21st century! Ellen DeGeneres is the most beloved woman in America. She is possitive, giving, and wonderfully funny. What could they possibly see as a negative about her life? America has moved beyond their hateful ideas. Ellen is a great spokesperson for JC Pennys!!!!!! I have been a JC Penny customer for 40 years. I join with the millions who object to Ellen as being your spokesperson. I will have to stop shopping a JC Penny if you keep her on. And yes, please get rid of the screaming commercial.

i went to j c penny on 2/01/2012 i was so exited to see the new prices. but i could not find anything that looked like a good price. they either rounded up or down the price. i will only shop and buy something if it is on sale or i have a coupon for it. so i will stick with kohls stores they always have great sales and coupons . i can find the same items at kohls that jc penny has and kohls is a lot cheaper . sorry pennys but do not like this new pricing. Reading these Comments about the "Screaming" Commercial gives me a Chuckle. Everyone's reaction to the commercial is exactly what you were suppose to feel. It worked like a charm, and FYI to all the so Called "Boycotters" and "Sell Your Investment" Knuckleheads, Since the Launch of this new Campaign the Stock Price has Risen 20+% so Obviously Wall Street isn't as concerned about a commercial as some you are. The Point of the "Screaming" was just that...."Stopping the Madness" with Sales, Crazy Coupon Mailings, One Day Only BS Sales...all the tricks of the trade that Typical Retailers use to get you in the door and get you to overspend and spontaneously buy other things you didn't even come into the store to purchase. JCPenney's New Approach is "No More Madness"...You Walk in the store and the prices you see are now 40-50% lower than the original Prices that you waited for to go on sale. Now you have a Sale "EVERYDAY" because the absolute Bottom is what is now on Display. As the Month Goes on these prices will go even lower and a New Month of New Merchandise with a Whole New Look arrives. It's Brilliant and Completely Out of the Ordinary of your Typical Retail Store. Malls are Dying and the New JCPenney is Going to Change the Way you Shop, No more looking for the Best Prices, they are already there.

some people cant afford to pay full price for things so we wait for the sales and coupons. but if people like to pay full price for something then keep shopping a jc pennys, i will stick with the stores that still offer sales and coupons.

I have not shopped at JC Pennys for years. If you are willing to take the heat from The Million Mom group and ignore their demands for you to drop Ellen D as a spokesperson because of her sexual orientation, I will make sure I shop by you. Whats next...they will demand that you don't have blacks or Jews as spokespersons? Thank you for standing up for civil rights and against bigotry.

I am greatly disturbed about JCP decision to have Ellen as their spokeswoman and will be boycotting them until they decide to replace her with someone else. JCP, please remain neutral when it comes to culture wars and immediately remove Ellen as your spokeswoman.

The Commerical is Loud, the one lady is way to loud! But, Customers did really scream and were so confused by prices and coupons, emails with discounts (were they real coupons or something some idiot posted?) I hope the new LOW PRICES are JCP are really as good as they say they will be. The last few weeks I have noticed the store looks GREAT. I can't wait to get some good buys with NO COUPONS!!!

The new commercial is the absolute worst thing I have seen, HEARD on tv in all of my 50 years... I am ready to cancel my credit card...fire your ad company...why would you want to annoy loyal customers an announce to possible new customers that you hire advertising idiots?.

What's the point of the screaming? The ad doesn't even say why they are screaming! Annoying, horrible, worst ad on tv. It goes on mute immediately.
