Im won't be shopping at your store anymore,as long as you are associated with Ellen. BTW she tries to look like a dude so her wearing your women's clothing is probably not a good idea.What you have done has caused my family to never come to your store again.

I am sorry but I, too must stand on principle and not shop at Penney's. It is time for those of us who believe in God's laws and want our children and grandchildren to believe and obey them to shop in stores that portray good family values. You see, I believe this nation was founded and blessed by God because they believed in Him. Not it is not politically correct to do so, but I will join with a million Mom's. I have not been a member up to now, but I will join them. It is time to return to morality.

We will no longer be shopping at your stores or from your catalog. Our family has been very loyal to Penney's over the years. We will be boycotting Penney's not because you have hired Ellen, but because you are giving in to pushing THE agenda; and sadly that has nothing to do with the quality of your merchandise.

I am very disappointed that you have chosen to use Ellen DeGeneres as your spokesperson. If she is representative of J.C. Penney Corporation's values then I do not plan to continue supporting your business and I will encourage my friends and neighbors to shop elsewhere also. Ellen is a free moral agent and can choose to live her life as she wishes. However, I do not have to support those who hold her up as an appropriate role model. She is not and I do not want my children and grandchildren to think that she is. If you did not hire her at least partially because of her sexual orientation then why are so many people congratulating you for doing so! I urge you to reconsider you decision to keep her in this position.

I am a heterosexual wife and mother of 2, a "normal" family and I totally support JC Penney's use of Ellen Degeneres as a spokesperson. Anyone suggesting that JC Penney is anti family is just plain stupid!!!! I will continue to shop at JC Penney and hope they do not allow the ignorant homophobic right wing to dictate where to shop or who to support. Please JC Penney be the company you should be and do not give in to hatred for what ever reason!!!

I'm delighted to know Penneys is gender-blind. I'm not particularly an Ellen fan, but I don't see why she shouldn't work for you, she's very popular. Her sexuality has nothing to do with her ability to pitch merchandise. And really, we all know that your sexual preference is not determined by who helps advertise socks and tablecloths!

Okay, maybe they did lower their prices on some items from the previous regular prices, but you saved more money when you used a coupon before this change. Some items were actually more expensive than the previous regular prices. This is a mind game to make consumers think they get a good deal all the time now so you don't have to wait for a sale. If you weren't a regular customer at Penney's and used to using coupons and getting good sales deals then paying over inflated prices won't bother you. Now you are better off going to Kohls.

I have not been a regular Penney's shopper. I don't know why, because I am always pleased with the service and my purchases when I shop there. But I am very impressed with your refusal to get rid of Ellen DeGeneres because some hate groups are demanding it. Sadly, it is a rare event when companies do the right thing. You have done the right thing, and I will make sure that Penney's is my first place to shop from now on.

I will not be shopping at JCPenny until the lesbian is removed as a spokesperson. I am sick to death of having the homosexual agenda shoved down my throat. JCPenny is supposed to be a family oriented store and having this woman represent it goes against all that is decent. Children, in particular should not have a lesbian held up as a role model. This is not a lifestyle that our children should have to accept as 'normal'.

I have shopped JCP for years and loved it! Went today and disappointed with everything in general. I loved the coupons and sales. I hate the commercial. What is up with sales on Friday? FYI I work all week and am off on weekends. Kohl's here I come.

I would have givenPenney's 4 stars but the are so irritating that I refuse to shop Penney's unless they stop this commercial! Yes, it did get my attention but feel Penney's is desperate!I've lost respect for them.

What does penney's have to advertise ....nothing and that costs the customer some of the fair and square price for sure..Oh and the best price. On Fridays. .that's a joke..At least the check out is faster. Customer is no better and actually worse and they have bee brain washed to talk about the new pricing.. I just wanted to write J C Penney's and say how impressed I was that such a large corporation would stand by their decision in hiring Ellen DeGeneres as a representative of their company. As I read some of these comments (some full of bigotry and hate) it saddens me that in today’s world we still have people who think a person’s sexuality can make them immoral and less than human. Shame on them and poison they feed our society. I have been to the One Million Moms website so I could understand their view. How sad it was to see that an organization using the term "Moms" should be insulting to mothers everywhere. My traditional upbringing was one of acceptance of others differences, not fear! I didn't really shop at J C Penney's but after today I will not only shop there I will now apply for one of your credit cards as well as encourage my family and friends to buy JCP!!!! Please continue to support diversity and as this is a traditional AMERICAN value.

i have to agree with tt on this i cant or will not pay full price for something when i can go to another store and get it cheaper with a coupon or sale . i was expecting to see low prices but very upset the prices had not really changed all they did was round down or up . sorry jc penny not good

i haven't been to a JC Penny is years! but now that I know how high their principle are, and that they are not some bastion of backward thinking, I will totally give them another look. My sincere hope (for the children of these "1 million" moms) is that none of their kids are gay. I can't imagine the hate, shame, and cruelty (usually cloaked in religion)they are undoubtedly inflicting on their otherwise healthy but undoutedly deeply closeted children. By the law of averages (and since obviously sexual preference isn't inherited) some of them are going their own gay children deep deep harm right now.
