I've been gifted or bought JCP merchandise since 1942. You have chosen wisely with Ellen and I will continue to shop and save at JCP. However, I find the screaming based video commercials to be offensive and not in keeping with your company's long established reputation and conduct. Please, enough already with the screeming. Otherwise, keep doing what you do well and now with Ellen on the front line.

I have no plans to EVER SHOP AGAIN at ANY OF YOUR STORES or Catalog. You seem to feel that Ellen DeGeneres is a great spokesperson. Well then you can do without my business. JC Penney has been a favorite shopping venue of mine for more than 55 years, the stores are always clean, the clerks knowledgable about the products and I am proud of you for not being bullied by a group of homophobes that are out to "get" Ellen Degeneris. She is a kind, caring person who does much good in this world as well as bring fresh, clean comedy into our lives. As a 74 year old, I cannot not imagine that narrow minded groups of people are propelling us back into the 17th century. If ignorance is bliss, some people must be extremely happy these days. I'm Ok with you hiring Ellen, I have nothing against that but your marketing strategy isn't going to cut it for me. I used to shop there almost every other weekend and loved the clearance racks and coupons, they were my main motivator for shopping there but now forget it. You've lost my business!

I support Ellen and JC Penney. When the negative people show the same generosity that Ellen does towards the people in need maybe they will learn all about compassion and see that kindness breeds kindness and hatred only attracts more hatred. As a lifelong (60+) JCP customer, I applaud your inclusive philosophy when it comes to promoting your company and products. Please don't be swayed by the comments of the bigoted homophobic posters who have threatened to not shop at JCP. There are many many more of those of us who agree with you than there are of those who do not, if they want to make it that way. Thank you, JCP.

I will be shopping at JCP exclusively from now on. Have shopped there some in the past, and liked it. But now with the prices being lower, and most importantly because the Corporation did not back down when the Million Moms raised their ugly heads and let their vial voices be heard. I agree with Bill. I have shopped at JC Penny for the last time. Ellen does not meet the standard of FAMILY values. She is deceived and so are you. I'm not a "Million Mom"--couldn't be that closed-minded if I tried!--but I'm one of over a million who support you for hiring Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson! I haven't shopped at Penney's for years and years, but we are headed to the JCP at Northgate or Aurora this weekend to purchase sheets and a few other household accessories--just because of this campaign and specifically because of the outcry against Ellen.
