JCP is NOT a good place to work! Since the changes it became a awful place to work! "team leaders" and Store managers bully staff they are unprofessional, unethical and bias. They store I worked for is VERY clicky. The store manager will cut your hours if you were not in the click.I was getting around 35 hours a week until I reported a manager yelling over the walkie. They store manager cut my hours to 5 hours the next week. Guess that taught me uh! Something needs to be done! Since I put my two weeks in it got much worse. I have never been so unhappy at a job. It got so bad I could not finish out my two weeks.I left today and WILL NOT RETURN!! It is not worth it to be treated and talked to like that. Beware of the company!!!! Further more myself, family and friends will NEVER shop at JCP again. Word spreads fast and I will tell everyone about this!

May JCPenney go under, and all of corporate who support aids/gays, may you rot in hell.

Thank you for your dads day ad! You are helping to push the human race forward. My disappointment with corporate America is a little lessened because of JCP.

I am 63 years old, have shopped at J. C. Penny all my life, but no more. My wife and I will no longer shop for our self, our 4 children and their spouses or our 9 grandchildren. This county is falling apart because the traditional family is falling apart and I will not support a company that is promoting the non-traditional family.

Dear JCPenney, I know there are religious zealots out there who claim they are "offended" by your "sinful" ad campaign featuring same sex couples. I am writing to counteract their ignorance & superstition & to let you know there are many folks out there who find it refreshing to see same sex couples portrayed positively. Please ignore the very vocal but misguided religious extremists and carry on with your sinful ways!

Please remain neutral in this cultural war. In your attempt to reach a new group of people, you are loosing others. JC Penney's was originally founded on Christian principles. I'm so saddened to see an agenda being pushed. JC Penneys has strayed from so many of its core principles. The recent changes in pricing and customer service has not impressed. It has failed to meet up to the standards that it claimed it would have. Just because some CEO says it will work, doesn't mean it will. Maybe HE is out of touch with the people who buy from Penney's. I have basically all but stopped shopping at Penny's since the changes. Now, I will go to one of your competitors. I may pay more but it's worth it. The cultural war needs to stay in politics...not in advertising or in shopping.

All of my favorite, reliable woman's clothing brands are slowly but surely disappearing from JCPenney! JCP used to be my go-to store. Not anymore. So sad.

Let me start out saying that I worked for Penney's for 13 years in the lingerie Dept. I loved going to work and the people I worked with. I respected this company and the traditional values that started with the founder James Cash Penney. Working there was a joy and I supported the Co. and the way they treated their associates. That was then and then we got Ron Johnson with big ideas on how to run(ruin) the company. My first indication that we were in for problems ahead was the hiring of Ellen. I sensed that it was more than someone to do our ads but a agenda that was being promoted. I decided that I would retire early because I would not and could not support a company that decided to enter the cultural war on same sex marriage. Retail is to supply services and merchandise to it's customers, not Ron Johnson's and the Penney's board on the social issues of our society. Taking this stand will hurt this company that has decided to erase the Penney name and even his picture from the stores. The former associates and more to come will also be taken out. This company has been successful because of families that have been loyal. For 110 years it has been built on a foundation of customers who have shopped there, that has and will change. I as many former associates also will not step foot in the JCP stores. The discount means nothing to me. Ron Johnson , you have chosen to take a store that once had a real standing in this country and made it to serve your agenda. Remaining neutral would and should have been what our Co. should have done. I think a great many of us are sick of you and the President deciding how we should act or be. Many of us hold to a higher standard of what is right and wrong. Time will tell on what happens to JCP. My memories of working for a great JCPenney's remains in tact. A message to other retailers, stick to the business and not the social agenda.

It was several weeks ago when I was called to the office at the jcpenney in New Hartford, NY in which I worked. I sat Down in the chair across from the person sitting at the desk. The person at the desk had a paper in hand and started to read it to me. This person said I was being laid off . When this person was finished reading what was on the paper, I left the office and went back to work till it was time to leave for home. I couldn't keep my mind on my work. Couldn't wait till it was time to go home. When got home, I was depressed for a while, decided to go on unemployment. I still get depresssed now and then. Can't find a job like the one I had. I think the store is dying, Restructuring never works. I have heard people say that. When you make changes to something customers are so used to, everthing goes downhill. Especially for the elderly. They are set in their ways. I knew something was up when they started to get rid of registers, catalog, assistant managers, and store manager, laying off employees left and right. Very sad. When you are home you wonder why me, what did I do or didn't do to be one of the chosen ones. Been there a long time, good worker, It bothers me alot. You wonder why they didn't pick the employees that were not good workers. I know who some of them are. I won't say who. I am sure employees were watched on camera. I have to go. I am starting to get depressed again. Good luck to the other employees that are still there.

S. Langford, you're and idiot. There are so many other REAL reasons to be angry with this corporation than your oh so unimportant discontent for a same sex married couple ad campain.

I am a traditional, Christian American. I realize the new JCP is trying to reach out to a broader base but I am offended that their new advertising techniques featuring same sex partners and their children. Two catalogs in a row................My biggest concern is that young children love catalogs........I think the discussion of same sex relationships should be taught at the PARENTS discretion - not when a JCP catalog glamorizes it. It is not "my" call whether it is right or wrong but I do have a problem when it becomes another "special interest" issue. I will no longer purchase anything from JCP.................

I just received a J. C. Penney catalog which is replete with a grammatical error. Several pages display an item and then under it say "$6.00 everyday or $7.00 everyday". Used in this way it should have "every day" as two words. Everyday as one word means ordinary or routine such as my everyday shoes or everyday hat. It would be alright for them to say these are our everyday prices. The dumbing down of America gets continually worse. You see grammatical and spelling errors in magazines, on billboards, in newspapers etc. Even our teachers do not speak good English.

anyone reading this review, please do not buy from the jc penney located in hyattsvile, md, the store manager is a racist kkk who only protects his own people he does not care for his staff,his name is Tim zelenski....i used to be a customer until i heard from his mouth that he hates african american customers because they always leave a mess on the floor and they are rude....he wishes to get more white people in his store....people do not go to a racist store , they do not treat customers right and is the store manager fault because he cannot deal with african americans....he is a KKK ....

I only shop jcpenny’s my all clothes everything I own is from jcpenny’s. I shop in the big and tall section and lately they haven’t real had a good selection in short they have only 2 different pair of shorts that are cargo and one dress shorts with a little selection in the dress short colors like black only. My sizes is 46 I use to be able to walk in to the store a just grab something from the rack not no more with this new changes they have can jcpenny ‘s please help me or are your AGAINST FAT PEOPLE. You are not helping people to turn from a distructive life style by championing it. You are hurting them. If you really cared about them, you would let them know that there is a right and wrong, and they can choose to do that which is right. It is time for people to stop being slaves to their sexual desires, and take charge of their bodies and actions. Everybody is able to do that which is right, if they care to, and understand that they are responsible for all of their actions.

I am sorry to see your latest catalog with two gay men and their two children. God says in the Bible,Romans 1:26-27, "Men abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." I am sorry for being so direct about the matter, but I think that you would want to know that it is a serious violation of God's standards. You may think it is the latest trend, but it is a terrible offense to God.

I agree with the person who said all the dresses are for teens and those in their 20's. I walked in my local store today, first time I've been there in a while, and my first thought after looking at clothes for a few minutes was, wow, what have they done to this company? I used to work in corporate america, and had to be in suits most of the time. I can't tell you how many suits, blouses, shoes, pants, etc I bought at JC Penney over the years. Today I couldn't find one piece of clothing that would have been considered office appropriate. All the clothes I looked at, other than dresses, were cheap and trashy looking. I doubt I'll be shopping there again anytime soon.

I can't believe in the 'Mothers Day' catalog you would have same sex partnes...give me a break Pennys. I guess you're desperate for business so you will slide under rocks to find customers. Once my charge is paid off, I will never support JCP again.
