I appreciate your dedication to showing all types of families in your ads. Children, adolescents and society at large need to see positive role models for diversity. Like it or not, their are gay adults, gay families and children with gay parents. We should be represented in the media and I will choose to SPEND more of my money at your store as you stand against prejudice and discrimination. Thank you for being an advocate for tolerance and for not focusing on the negativity of the Christian right/One Million Moms, etc. The God I believe in is tolerant and if you truly understand Jesus and his mission, then there wouldn't be the need for posts like this! Thank you again JC Penney. I worked for you in college and I now spend my money in your store...and will continue to do so... GREAT COURAGE!

I feel a few in society today are PUSHING their agenda on us! As an individual who has shopped at your stores for over 30 years, I will now have to look elsewhere. You company has made a decision that will cost you in sales. I hope, you will see the drop in productivity by the end of the quarter and change your advertising campaign. Till then, you lost my families support!

Why not be fair and square with your ads it would be smarter to do family ads with husband and wife with chidren and partners with children. Thanks for your time....

My husband has worked at jcp for almost 26years, They have been treated badly for years at the warehouse in Columbus but last week takes the cake. They cut everyones hours by 8 which is a 568.00 paycut a month but they also told them they have to work 5 days just less hours a day. That prevents them from being able to get an extra job sat.,sun.,mon., or fri.,sat.,sun., not to mention having to pay for gas 5 days and now with only 32 hours weekly they will have no benefits. Although they increased the supervisors pay who do NOTHING all day and was okay paying Rob Johnson 52million dollars. JCP has forgotten that the employees have been the only ones over the years who have kept that place going.

I can't believe what you are doing with your ads!!! Why did you have to get political? I will no longer shop in your Store!! I had to explain why 2 men were featured On the Fathers day ad to my nine year old. Thanks a lot We believe marriage is between a man and a woman. What is wrong with you? Shame on you for bending to be politically correct. A deptmartment store shouldn't go there. I will no longer shop at JcPenney.

There is no way to make homosexuals mainstream. They are not normal, they are not born that way. It is a choice. J C Penny giving them free press and showing a homosexual couple in place of a real family is disgusting. Perhaps the CEO is also gay. We won't be shopping there anytime soon. Sick behavior belongs behind closet doors. The gays need to go back into their closet. They will never be accepted as normal. Don't force them on us. I never have anything to do with Ellen. I turn off TV if she is on. I won't watch her ads. It is very sick.

I put my two weeks in at JCP because I've found a fulltime job and they will not give me my last paycheck for nothing. They still had me on the schedule to work and were saying that I did no call, no shows so that's why their keeping my paycheck. Does anyone know a corporate number I can call?

One of the first books I checked out of my church library in 1973 at the age of 12 was the autobiography of Mr. J. C. Penney, at the age of 12 I did not realize it was a person, we had just always shoppped at "Penney's" as it was called then. I was very inspired by his faith, his honesty and his commitment to his family. I am now 51 years old and will no longer be shopping at JC Penney. I feel the ad depicting gay men and lesbians is the last straw. I wonder what Mr. Penney is thinking now? He would probably like to change the name of the store that he stood for all those years. Please rethink who your target audience is, isn't that the first thing they teach in Marketing 101?

To Ron Johnson,I have been in retail management for 38 years and never have I seen a bigger mess then your leadership of JCP.You and your board of directors are leading the company down the retail drain. You are so out of touch with your everyday employees and regular everyday customers that you think you can lead us all into gay Hell. You have broken the golden rule of retail, by taking sides in the cultural, politial wars. Stay neutral, let your customers decide. The country does not need your help in these matters. This gay issue is a fad, which will play its self out,at the next 911. The churchs will be full again and JCP will be lower than dirt. Our family has shopped JCP for more than 60 years, but you will never get another cent from us. Iam cutting up our card as I speak. Listen to your old customers, who have been the back bone of JCP for years. They have stood by you in the worse of times, and will again. Think-Think Before its to late to change!!!!

We are extraordinarily disappointed in the Father's Day "male-life-buddies" ad. We find it offensive and NOT appropriate for a store that was founded on different (The Golden Rule store) wholesome principles. My family has been shopping at Penney's for many decades & we cannot believe that the company would stoop so low as to put the homosexual agenda in their catalogs. It's sad to also read the pathetic comments from the left-wing liberal zealots (probably demoncrats)who do not know how destructive this "alternative" lifestyle actually is. They say it's refreshing, positive, wordly, loving, & all the other cockamamie & ridiculous progressive words that these gay supporters can drum up. I challenge any gay person to take some serious time to read Romans 1:19-32 (from the Bible). Only when the gays & gay supporters (like Penney's corporate)finally understand the "TRUTH" will they be able to renew their reprobate & misguided minds. I hope Penney's makes a wise decision. Because of these poor decisions, my shopping dollars will go elsewhere and so will my word-of-mouth advertising. It is a sad day in America now that Penney's corporate decides to cower down to this gay minority. Unfortunately, this decision will more than likely put them out of business by disenfranchising the traditional family majority.

JC Penney. I always LOVED shopping in your stores. I wouldn't pass a JC Penney store, I loved shopping there so much. Since you have revamped the pricing, merchandising, and decor, I have tried going in as a customer, but just can't buy in your store anymore. I have not purchased a single item since you startd your new merchandising tactic. It is not the JC Penney my heart loved. I loved your sales, clearances, and coupons. Your store feels like a Macy's, a more upscale store. Your ads I don't like either. I hope you do well with it, but feel that you probably won't. The hard working, middle class was your best customer, I feel you have lost that customer base. I hope I am wrong and hope you do well, but I won't be shopping there anymore.

J C Penney crossed over the line with their "Two Daddies" homosexual ads for Father's Day. I will not be shopping at JC Penney any longer and I will encourage my friends and acquaintances to do the same. You want to pick side in the cultural war, andthere are those of us who are not Sheeple. I hope your business collaspes !!!

My family and I have shopped at your star for years and when I opened the ad to see two lesbian and then to see two gay men with kids I was so disgusted. Talk about desperate to stoop to pushing the gay rights movement on us. It would be better if you had just showed the items with manequins or no humans at all. I realize you are trying to pump up your sales but this is a terrible way to go about business. Goodbye JcPenney. A sign of the times.....

So long Penney's. I detest your pushing of your homosexual agenda on America. I'll take my money elsewhere and encourage others to do likewise.

I have read lots of concerns over JcPenney and their agendas. I just want great prices, great quality, a clean store and helpful employees. I was interested to hear of changes in how JcPenney was going to offer great prices always and no more coupons or "sales". I used to shop pretty regularly at JcPenney, now the prices are always high, especially when I don't have a coupon or there is no sale. The thing I dislike the most about the change is the weekly catalogs sent to my home. These cannot be inexpensive to make and ship to thousands of customers sometimes 2-3 times a week. As I thumbed through one of them I thought of all the valuable resources used to make these "magazines" and what a waste. I cannot even recycle them for other uses - like packing or shipping. I just have to throw it in the recycle bin. It actually irritates me every time one comes in the mail. I will ensure that I am removed from the mailing list and will no longer be shopping at JcPenney because of their "always" high prices and no coupons or sales.

I applaud your current ad campaign. It is refreshing to see a corporation do what is right, even though it may not popular with its entire customer base. I assure you that my friends, family and I will all be shopping in your stores more frequently.

This is one of the saddest day ever; however, very predictable and I said so when I saw the changes in the late winter/early spring. I have been a loyal J.C. Penny Customer for the past four plus decades... I was mortified and frustrated this spring when I visited online, nothing was working properly, so I payed a visit to a local store in the Birmingham area. The entire experience boggled my mind, nothing fit. I asked an associate what the though process was and mentioned to her that JCP built its reputation on QUALITY. I do not know what the powers that be are thinking. In speaking with a store associate about the jumbled mess I found for merchandise, the associated; was as unhappy as I was at the lack of quality merchandise present and more often than not the associates in the store were evasive and did not lend themselves to assistance. My experience with JCP over the years and the basis of being a loyal customers “is out the window”, I am accustom to QUALITY ITEMS, I don't know who the new CEO is however, I would suggest to him strongly to re-think what the buyers base is, as well as the setup, because in over 4 decades I have NEVER been as disappointed as I have this season. I attempted to by my granddaughters head to toe Easter outfit and found “only kibbles & bits” some things were in others not available, both in the store and on line. The entire process was quite discouraging. I am presently looking for a subsequent retailer to do business with. I left Dillard’s, Spiegel, and Sears and now I guess JCP for the exact same issue. POOR QUALITY, MINIMAL SELECTION ONLINE AND IN THE STORES AS WELL AS A LACK OF ADEQUATE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The employees no longer care because they are just as disillusioned as the customers. Guess JCP management will be happy when they go the way of Sears/K-Mart and there is no longer a fat CEO’s Salary and all of the employees are unemployed. It is really a horrific shame and my heart is quite saddened along with my spring/summer collection. What a disservice it is to the loyal customers and the institution of JCP on the whole…

I completely LOVE that jcpenny has taken a positive stand. Lots of ways to love, lots of different types of families. Will buy all my kids clothes from here from now on.

JCP had to go and do it, couldn't just do business, but, had to get into the homosexual agenda advocacy BS....guess what, I don't care what they do in the privacy of their own homes, but, when garbage is continually pushed on us day in, day out, enough is enough! My family will no longer be shopping at JCP, we will inform our friends, colleagues, neighbors of this garbage, hopefully you will get the message...and not a pro-homosexual message.

It's best to stay neutral in this political world. But, Since JCpenneys wants to support gay and lesbian activities i choose never ever to enter another penneys store again. Good Riddence .
