I have been a loyal shopper at JC Penny for many years. But your PC attitude shows that you try to stuff your opinion down the throats of the American people. I am tolerant and easy going but this is it for me. I will no longer shop your store and neither will any of my family. It is not the kind of store I want my kids to walk into. Good luck with your attitude towards all people!
Your company's desire to cater to the homosexual community by blatantly advertising as such is a direct shift from the founding principles of your founder. Are you so desperate for sales that you would choose to alienate a large segment of your business for a very small contingent in the gay community. I am neither a homophobe or a bigot, but rather an individual who chooses to do business with companies that reflect my own personal values. I will not be going to your stores in the near future. If I receive a catalog from you I will mark them "refused" and indicate the USPS to return them. Decisions have consequences!
We purchased over $2000 of living room furniture at Brookfield Wi store a few years ago. Shop there frequently. Will unsubscribe their E-Mails and never purchase anything from them again.......... Happly married MAN & WIFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow! your pro gay agenda has just lost the patronage of another family! I think I'll shop with companies stay withing the american mainstream and respect the traditional values of others. not telling you to hate, but dont advocate!
Perhaps you should change your name from JC Penney to GayC Penney. Since you have chosen to be politically correct I see you as morally corrupt! I am going to cancel my Penneys credit card and will not shop in your store again!
I have always been a devoted Penny's shopper. Now that you have decided to promote a Gay lifestyle I will NO long be shopping at your stores until you stop this non traditional family advertising. I thought Penny's was founded on Christian believes. Our Country is falling apart with the lack of morals and the traditional family. If people want to live that lifestyle fine but Penny's does not have to show this type of advertising. I may have loved and shopped at Penny's for my 50 plus years but my morals and christian values will over ride my wish for shopping. Sorry to see ya go.
I've been shopping at JCs for over 20 years. Once I opened up their "Fathers Day" mailer this week and saw two gay men and their "children" featured inside, I want them to know that along with Target, the Gap, and Home depot, I will never again ever spend another dime in their stores ever again.
Please forward my comments to the JC Penneys National Headquarters Offices. I am filing a formal complaint regarding the use of Homosexual individuals and couples in your media campaign. I have shopped at JC Penney all of my life. I find the obvious promotion of the homosexual lifestyle offensive to the sacrament of marriage which was instituted by God of the Holy Bible. The redefinition of marriage is nothing more than man made attempts to legitimize and justify a sinful lifestyle between same sex individuals. I ask JC Penney to reconsider the decision to promote such a destructive lifestyle choice. The American family is not better off or even functional in a same sex union partnership. Children are created and designed to flourish under the love and training of a mother (female) and a father (male). Please wake up out of this delusional stupor. For what it is worth to you, I for one will not be be patronizing any JC Penney store, online site or catalog from this moment on. Lifetime Shopper, Penny Slosson
HATE AL CHANGES IN THE STORE AND THE WAY RJ HAS DONE THE EMPLOYEES IS SHAMEFUL HOPE HE REPS WHAT HE SOWS
I used to shop at JCP but quit when you changed your policy on having sales. I loved the sales and when you got the new CEO who must think he knows everything and he changed the whole thing, I quit. However, I could have been lured back with good sales. The info out today chnages that, I would not spend one cent at any of your stores.
JC Penny custom decorating is the worst. In January 2012 I paid for and ordered custom drapery JC Penny. I am yet to get delivery of what I ordered despite a 6 to 8 weeks promise. In addition they have refuse to adequately compensate me for their constant errors and no show when they make appointments. STAY AWAY FROM JC PENNY !!!
I will never be shopping at JCPenny ever again! I was shocked at the Father day ad that has came out! Despite what the media says homosexuality being normal is an absolute lie! Marriage was is and always will be between one man and one woman! Our nations was founded on Christian values and the Holy Bible was used as the main textbook! America is a Christian Nation whether you want to accept that or not! JCpenny himself was a Devout Christian man and would be shocked at this! As a Christian we r to love everyone but not the sin, the bible is very clear on this even God himself called homosexuality an abomination! So I will not support This company any longer!
JC Penny needs to remain neutral in the culture war. I object to the corporation's support of the homosexual lifestyle. I will not support a company that promotes violation of God's law: 1Corinthians7:9-10.
I am not gay but am a gay rights supporter. I have not cared much for JCP over the years as I find it too old fashioned, but with your new support of Gay rights you now have my allegiance. I hope you will continue to support people for being who they are and forget about all the hateful fools out there. The country can never move forward without businesses taking the lead to support what is right and refusing to bend to stone the age thinking that keeps us all in the dark ages.
Four generations of my family used to thoroughly enjoy shopping at JCP. The latest Penny's ad campaigns (May - Mother's Day and June - Father's Day) depicting gay and lesbian relationships ends our patronage. JCP's personal and political views regarding same-sex relationships have absolutely nothing to do with shopping. Everyone knows it is a controversial topic, so why include it in advertisements? To imply that a gay/lesbian relationship is so normal it deserves inclusion in an ad campaign is assinine and shows poor leadership. JCP lost touch with who their primary consumers are. We'll be happy to shop elsewhere since the JCP we used to enjoy is gone.
Those with the most discretionary funds are the Baby Boomers and older. As one of them, I am cancelling my Penny's credit card due to the recent decision to feature Gay and Lesbian couples in your ads as representative of average American families with children. Your endorsement is an indicator that you do NOT have a clue as to what middle America is thinking regarding family values. James Cash Penny said: "Profits must come through public confidence, and public confidence is given to any merchant in proportion to the service which he gives to the public.” You have thrown away my confidence.
First it was your new pricing. Then it was your incredibly boring ads. Then it was your decision to promote sexual orientation over just selling clothes and home goods to the general public. I don't know what happened, but I haven't been in a JCP store for a while now, and it's unlikely that I will again for a long time - unless JCP goes back to the old way that worked. I guess I'll become a bigger fan of Kohl's and Old Navy. Poor decisions. Poor, poor decisions.
I went to the Highlands Ranch store in CO looking for the $10 purse deals. Not only could I not find any $10 purses, all the purses were mixed up and not sorted properly. Many of the purses did not belong in the racks where they were placed. I walked through the store to find half the merchandise gone. Fair and square equals bare and bare. JCP, you were my favorite store for many, many years. Now, all I can say is, you are not. You aren't even on my list of stores to shop in. Bye.
On March 29th 2012 at 11:39 a.m. I entered a store in Pittsburgh, PA and ordered a gold necklace color photo charm and was told I would have it in approximately 2-3 weeks. i promised it to her granddaughter since her gra ndmother had less than 2 weeks to live (passed on March 31st 2012). Here it is June 2, 2012 and I still DO NOT HAVE THIS NECKLACE!!!!!!! I have been told story after story and literally feel like a total FOOL that I still do not have this for this child. SHAME ON JC PENNEY!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN.... I WANT TOTAL RECIPROCATION PLUS MORE!!!!!
We have shopped at JCP for the last time. You are trying to advance and promote a lifestyle with your spokespersons as well as your ads. Shame on you!!
