Bigotry is a bunch of RADICALS that use INTIMIDATION, PROPAGANDA & VIOLENCE to FORCE THEIR AGENDA down EVERYONE else's throat! Ever seen a group of Christians throwing rocks & bottles, spitting, vandalizing & physically assaulting gays? Go to youtube, if they haven't already pulled them down, & take a look at the RADICAL gays using ALL of these techniques on anyone who dares to have a different opinion. YOU, gays, are the BIGOTS, HATERS & RADICALS! You KNOW your lifestyle is abnormal, HIGH RISK & perverse & no amount of intimidation & violence on your part is going to change that!
JCPenney, Your average customer is married, middle aged & middle income. If you think PANDERING to the RADICAL HOMOSEXUAL LOBBY is going to win over the gay & college aged shopper you are dreaming. To all you gay supporters on here, YOU are the BIGOTS, HATERS & HYPOCRITES. I have NEVER seen a group of Christians, or anyone else for that matter, throwing rocks & bottles, spitting, vandalizing or physically assaulting gays but there are MANY pictures & videos of gays & gay supporters doing so to Christians & anyone else that dares to disagree with them.
First I'd like to THANK YOU for including a picture of same sex couple. It is refreshing to see that as a huge company that deals with the public has not crumbled to societies craziness over same sex couples.Up until now I have not been a customer of JC Pennies BUT now that I know you support equal rights for all I am definately a customer and I will tell everyone I know. Three cheers for JC Pennies!!!
I will no longer shop at JCPenny. It is one thing to be loving and inclusives of all relationships, but another to promote lifestyles which in the end is only 1% of the American population. You have made a big mistake. Next thing you know every child is America will be subjected to this alternative lifestyle through the public school system.
ME ,AND MY FAMILY,AND FRIENDS HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS,AND HAVE RESPECTED J.C.PENNEYS FOR YEARS,AND HAVE NOT KNOW A STRONGER CLOTHING STORE EVER.OUR VALUES,AND ROOTS ARE ARE ALSO STRONG,AND ROOTED ,AND GROUNDED IN OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH.YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO COME AGAINST OUR VALUES,AND US AS CUSTOMERS,BECAUSE YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO ACCEPT,AND PROMOTE THE GAY AGENDA.THIS DOES NOT REFLECT Gods, nor our values.if this is the decision you hold on to,300 plus people in our Church will know longer shop at your stores. thank you.
I WILL NOT SHOP IN UR STORE UNTIL U CHANGE BACK TO YOUR MORALS AND CHRISTIAN VIEWS OF WHAT SELLS AND WHAT GLORIFIES THE GAY AGENDA....i CANT BELIEVE UR CORPORATION WOULD STOOP JUST TO RAISE YOUR SALES...REGARDLESS OF THE ECONOMY,,,THIS IS JUST A PRECURSOR TO WHAT JCPENNEY WILL DO TO MAKE A SALE...RATHER THAN STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT...AND THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT...BUT WHO AM I TO JUDGE...THERE IS WILL CONSEQUENCES TO THE ACTIONS OF THE COMPANY AND THEIR SUPPORTERS....I HOPE ENOUGH PEOPLE STICK TO THEIR PRINCIPLES AND DO THE RIGHT THING...FOR ALL OUR SAKES.....
I think you are going in the wrong direction. In the short run you may increase sales with your new marketing plan, but I really believe in the long run you will loose your faithful base. Sure your sales are going through a difficult time, who's aren't, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Your products sell themselves and there are enough people praying for the success of J. C. Penny so don't change your image for short term gains. New and appropriate marketing strategies will bring you back to the top!!!
I love how the religious people are all supposed to be about love but when faced with someone or something to love, they bail. They curse and hope you rot in hell. They treat that person or group with NO love and NO respect! Amazing. Way to make people WANT to stop what they are doing. To join your hate, anger, and judgement. Where do I sign up? I have personally been calling every JC Penny store I can find and THANKING THEM for including everyone. Personally I like their approach and their attitude better than the religious people. At least JC Penny is shoving HATE down my throat. I know the bible back and forth. But people like this have sent me as far away from this hate as I can get. Imagine how many people the 'good' people have chased away with their ignorance. So to the religious ones, if you want people to even listen to your side, spitting hate in their face is probably not the best choice. Again thank you JC Penny for including everyone. P.S. I'm not a homosexual. I have two sons and a husband. Oh! And we homeschool, thankfully. We just feel it's better to include instead of exclude.
I admit Penney's was having a hard time before Ron Johnson became CEO but his changes have not helped the store. Letting staff go, Associates as well as Managers, removing cash registers, ( The store maybe going to a different form of payment, IPADS, I don't know but until that happens clearing the store of half its registers IS NOT A GOOD idea!!! This really has upset customers, roaming the store trying to find a register) and finally eliminating Customer Service... I really do not get that one...Picking up orders at the remaining registers, OH and yes, you have to wait for a runner to bring the order which could take 10 minutes or more..... I miss the Customer Service area...I miss catalogs, flyers, gift wrap,(which has been gone forever but I still have heard customers ask if the store has gift wrap when I was at the customer service desk picking up an order or making a payment) and having my questions answered. One of the things I liked about Penneys was being able to shop without someone hovering over me. Since half the registers are gone and the customers are few and far between, the associates that registers have been eliminated are just standing out on the floor straightening asking customers "constantly" "May I help you". Also, I have a friend that is an associate at a Penney's and what she has told me really blows my mind. Hours have been cut, the associates are disgruntled and in some cases not getting along with each other, One recently quit because of a confrontation she had with another associate and management did little to stop it. The remaining associates are leaving as soon as they can to find another job. Tasks that were done by customer service are being handled by others. NONE of the people that worked in Customer Service and knew the responsibilites are still in customer service. They have all been given other tasks which means quite frankly, CUSTOMER SERVICE is going to BLOW up at some point...
I have been a JCP customer for 55 years, but when you took away the sales and added the confusing/changing everyday pricing, you lost me as a customer. I don't want to keep up with when the item will be going down...once, then again. By the time the item is marked down a second time, the size or color I need is often gone. I want to look in my paper each week and see what's on sale. I think most customers like sales, and we know our prices, and we know your everyday prices are not as low as the sale prices were. I think your print ads are a glossy waste of paper. There's nothing relevant in there for us, and your tv ads are just as bad since they don't show anything on them we might want to buy. Take a clue from Kohl's, where I'm now shopping. They have great sales every week, and they don't put two gay dads in a print ad. What were you thinking? I don't think any of your "executives" are thinking straight and haven't for the last year. My grandfather was one of the first JC Penney managers, moving from TN to CA to NM to manage stores with Mr. Penney himself coming in the store to inspect them. He'd turn over in his grave at what you've done to Mr. Penney's stores.
My family and I have been loyal customers of JPC for the past forty years, yet today I've cut up my JCPenney credit card and will no longer be shopping at your store. I'm very disappointed with the ad featuring two homosexual men portrayed as fathers. I believe, according to God's word, that homosexuality is against God's plan for our lives and is therefore sin. When JCPenney chose to run the ad they were quoted as saying it was in line with the culture. Our culture may embrace homosexuality, but in God's eyes it is an abomination and perversion. We need to be very careful when we choose to accept and even embrace another's sin just because it is popular in the eyes of our culture.
Thank you JCP for upstaging our "so called" Christians and taking a bold, brave stand to accept all people as The Golden Rule states. Christians should all be blessed with a gay or lesbian child or grandchild so that their hearts might open wide and truly experience love as Jesus would have it. Instead of spreading hate and belief in a god who is not all loving, I would rather take my chances and believe in one who would never expect us to turn to hate when someone is not exactly like us. Those who spread hate better hope they are right at the end. Aren't there other issues in this country we could concentrate on to improve life for ALL people?
It is shocking that your CEO would turn his back on 99 percent of America and instead choose to promote the Gay agenda- this used to be a store- it sold products. Now that there is an expressed preference, they are peddling a left wing progressive agenda?? What's next, legalize heroine? I'll never set foot in your store again!
It's with sadness that I'm informing you that, as long as J.C.Penny promotes the homosexual anti family agenda in your advertizing and policies I will no longer be shopping at your stores or ordering from your catalogs.
Thanks to JCPenny's choice of spokesperson, the degenerate one, we haven't set foot in your store since. When we see the degenerate's commercial ads for her/his network TV show, we change channels. So we are fair in our dealings with stores, TV networks and anything else. You are treated all the same. It is over. We live better without this degenerate life-style in our face.
Just called your corporate office where I spoke with a woman who told me that she had not received any other calls regarding your pandering/catering to the homosexual community. Yeah, right! Well, you can take our family off the list of JCP customers from now on. When have you ever printed/published the names of the straight families you show in your catalogues? That would be NEVER because you don't use straight families. Your photos are peopled with professional actors/models whereas this First Pals campaign has to have the names of the gay couples and their children so that you won't get dumped on by the homosexual community for faking a gay family just for the picture. So very disappointed in your need to counteract your slumping profits (how's that "No Sales" campaign working out for you so far?) with this groveling attempt to lure in what has obviously heretofore been a section of America who wouldn't be caught dead buying their clothing at a JCP store. Goodbye to yet another American institution.
Your company can push any agenda you wish, this is America. As a result of your recent Father's Day advertising campaign, my family will not be shopping at JC Penny any longer.
Bravo, Penney's: Your rebranding yourself, repricing by treating customers as intelligent beings who can round up, and now taking an expansive stand showing sympathy for all families has moved you and your stores into our times. A few will scold, but more will take a new look at an old store. I believe you ran these ads, not to attract new customers, but because you are holding up an honest mirror and are unafraid to reflect us as we are. So many young people struggle to accept themselves and their feelings and to form healthy identities. You have helped them. So many children move home to home, unwanted living out of plastic garbage bags, as foster children fostered by people who take them in for the money. Parents who are willing to provide loving homes and adopt are so needed, and if they are the same sex and the home is loving, how can this be wrong. I deplore the righteous who have written you citing Christian beliefs and refer to a gospel ignoring its injunction to love one another. This heterosexual, happily married, retired teacher and grandmother will shop more at Penney's than in the past. When I write a proper letter, I will also ask that you please treat your workers with dignity and buy from countries with fair treatment of workers. and whenever possible, our own.
As a (VERY) straight woman, I am very happy to see JC Penney begin to include ALL types of families in their advertising. Though some very narrow-minded people complain, I do not see it as pushing any agenda whatsoever, but merely being inclusive. (If THAT argument stood, then showing only straight families is pushing a straight agenda.) Americans and citizens of the world come in all shapes and sizes and lifestyles and religions and so on. I don't know why these complainers refer to their god as if their own personal god is the only one everyone should defer to, as this is a free nation and each person's god or lack thereof (or their lifestyle, hair color, skin color, eye color, nail color, etc…) shouldn't jade a person's acceptance of one another, let alone their business practices. I find that this issue is similar to when people added "non-white" people to advertising, and many had negative things to say, perhaps the ancestors of the current complainers? Narrow, bigoted minds are a dime-a-dozen, and no loss to a corporation's customer base. The people who REALLY vote with their pocket book are the inclusive people of the world, as they are typically more socially aware, and for that matter, often have more discretionary income. (Maybe they prosper from their good karma, but that would be adding my spiritual perspective and I don't expect the world to revolve around mine.) We don't feel that our own personal lifestyle needs to be the only one represented. We are secure, and unthreatened by others who live differently than us. We are happy to have our lives enhanced by the differences in others. I am a straight, white, single woman and the only thing I find offensive is when I open a catalog and only see white, straight people, with little suburban-looking "families". It makes me sick. White privilege, straight privilege, religious privilege, neighborhood privilege, it's all embarrassing to me. I feel much more comfortable with a store who has the ability and willingness to include all my fellow humans, no matter how much they differ from me. I wasn't shopping at JC Penney before this, but, in fact, I will now, because I go out of my way to support inclusiveness, brotherhood and sisterhood, and equality for all. And I will let plenty of people know as well...
From its website the company states, "J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) is re-imagining every aspect of its business in order to reclaim its birthright and become America's favorite store." It is well established that James Cash Penney, the founder of the J.C. Penney Company (JCP), was a Christian who lived his life and ran his business by the principles of God's Word. Sadly, the re-imagining of the present-day J.C. Penney Company indicates a departure from biblical moorings and Mr. Penney's leadership by taking sides in the cultural war in celebration of homosexuality. Homosexuals make up 4% of the population so "re-imaging" to PANDER to gays & RADICAL LEFTISTS seems like a REALLY STUPID marketing idea. Your average customers are middle aged, middle Americans, NOT gays or college kids.
