I'm a straight, church-going, almost 70-year old Grandma who thanks you for your bravery regarding the Father's Day ad. Also, I LOVE the new store format and really enjoy shopping in the new, updated JCP store!

JC Penneys has been one of my favorite stores to shop at for years.We would wait for each catalog to come in the mail. Now, I no longer even look at the catalogs. They are like a weird magazine. They go right to the recycle bin. Since we have to travel quite a distance to actually shop at a JCPenney's, I have always made sure we would stop so I could look at the sale items and buy the things I had been waiting to get. Last trip I was so disappointed at what I found. It's not working JC Penney corporate. I am soooo disappointed in what you have become.

I will no longer shop at JCPenney. I have always shopped here - until now. However, just as many have said, you are shoving homosexuality down my throat. You are a company in business to sell products. Why would you think you could tell me what to believe in and tell me what is right and wrong? You could have chosen so many valid causes to uphold. But to chose a controversial one - I would not think that was a wise decision. I am saddened by your decision.

I have been a loyal JC Penney customer for many years. I have an account with them. When I pay the balance this month, that will be the last money they get from me. I hate the new pricing. I love sales and coupons! I have a live and let live philosophy of life. I don't shove my view down anyone's throat and I don't appreciate it when someone tries to shove their view down mine. The last sale ad I received with the lesbians was the last straw. I will no longer pratronize your store. Your CEO has ruined what used to be a great place to shop.

I am saddened by your decision to ‘normalize’ homosexual relationships. If a relationship is normal, it would not need your endorsement to be ‘normalized’. I do not understand a corporation that is in the business of selling products endorsing such a controversial issue. You risk alienating a portion of your consumer base. Additionally, there is certainly no shortage of valid and noncontroversial issues that your company could have supported. I personally resent JCPenney Corporation trying to force me to believe in certain issues. Your support of this issue does not feed hungry people; does not improve the quality of life; and does not help victims of abuse in any way. This is a political move by members in the JCPenney Corporation to push their own agenda forward (gay marriage). When a corporation chooses a political stance on an issue then you, the corporation, must expect the public to also chose a stance. And their stance may include supporting or withdrawing support of your decision, demonstrated by their shopping habits. The homosexual marriage issue has been met with much controversy and has not garnered the support of the majority of the American public. Therefore, JCPenney’s decision to support an issue that clearly is very divisive and only supported by a minority of the public, again demonstrates this is a political move by the JCPenney Corporation to push their own agenda forward and clearly shows that JCPenney is not there to help their consumers. Your corporate decision to endorse homosexuality has resulted in my and my family’s decision to cease shopping at your store. Further, I will encourage others to stop shopping at your store. I hope that your decisions in the future will be for the good of all people.

Does anyone know the corporate email address that we can all email letters to??? I used to work for your company. I have always loved J.C. Penney. I used to do ALL of my shopping from your stores. However........ sadly I cannot bring myself to even step foot into your stores any longer. Below are my personal reasons. Ellen as one of your spokes person???? Really???? Then there have been the adds with gay/lesbian couples with children, really???? Your new catalogs are offensive in general and no longer represent (in my opinion) a company with good human/Christian values as it had in the past. It really saddens me to think that you've moved so far away from what Mr. Penney had started this company with. I used to read his "mission statement" on the wall where his picture was hung every day and found it inspirational. I doubt he would appreciate what you are doing to his name and the company he started that everyone loved. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I hear it all the time from family, friends and just people in passing. So again, I have not and will not be shopping at any of your stores until you clean up your act and get back the family values you once had. I am not a crazy fanatic regarding religion or anything else, however, I see that JCP has more issues, especially work value issues, than the adds and catalogs they send out, which are trying to denote a politically correct statement. According to who???? Not me that is for sure! I care less what people do in their bedrooms but please do not try and push this life style on me with your add presentations. I didn't realize that they have a new CEO. That explains why they are going down hill fast! I too like coupons and sales so their new way of doing business is not for me. To put icing on the cake, I do not like their advertising. I do not like Ellen either. I do not like their way of pushing their political beliefs on me or my family with distasteful adds and catalogs. With all that being said....good bye JC Penney! I will not shop with you any more in my life time and I will tell everyone I know why I feel this way. You have truly let me down and my family too! Do not find this new ad campaign " refreshing ", as someone put it. I find it offensive and do not consider that in any way shape or form positive. I am married with 2 kids and have always shopped at your store for our family. Well, you have taken your stand, now I take mine, no more shopping at JCPenney! Unless, you change back to your founding ways, many will leave you behind.

To all those complaining about JC Penney supporting diverse lifestyles: you do know that this is just a political/financial move for JCP, don't you? What, about 15 years ago, they were pulling their ads from ABC when the station aired Ellen's coming out episode. It's all a game. Go buy your jeans and tank tops, folks.

I give J C Penney 1 Star because 0 is not a choice! "First Pals"...yet once again, J C Penney feels it necessary to promote sin in its advertisements I must stand up for Biblical values and truth. Scripture says very clearly that homosexuality is wrong, and God will not tolerate this sinful nature. If promoting homosexuality is what J C Penney is all about, then I WAS a good customer of J C Penney.

I have shopped at J C Penney for 50 years> I hate your NEW LOOK. I cannot find much in your store that I like and if I do then you don't have it in my size. So I decided to shop on line and it is not much better. I don't understand why there is not a selection of sizes. Good bye J C PENNEY unless things change.

JC PENNEY HAS BECOME A TOTAL JUNK STORE EVEN BELOW WALMART, WHAT A SHAME BECAUSE LAST YEAR I COULD SHOP THERE AND FIND SOME NICE CLOTHING, BUT NO SO TODAY, IT"S ALL DISGUSTING STUFF THAT I WOULD NEVER EVER WEAR. I recently went into our local jc penny store in bellingham wa, and the store had no customers, i went directly to the catalog recieving, IT WAS CLOSED, I then asked someone at a register, they said they had to take my return. Three registers later, because the computer that allows them to return catalog merchandise was in use, and walking almost totally around the store, I finally got my item returned. The promotions, the store were awful. I understand the new CEO has new visions, well his visions are failing and I will NOT return to Pennys or order thru the catalog. I REFUSE to go to multiple registers until I have to pick up an order or return one. GODD LUCK MR. JOHNSON, you should go back to APPLE...your vision IS NOT working a PENNYS you are going to BANKRUPT the long established retail store.

Just to inform JCPENNEY'S NEWEST decision to support same sex marriages. I have been a lifetime shopper and my mother used to shop for my school clothes there. i am a 46 yr old mother trying to teach my children right from wrong and Biblical beliefs. i feel that we as Christian are not allowed to stand up for what is right because we are accused of being JUDGEMENTAL, while I am supposed to just stand by and watch unhealthy and un-natural lifestyles be pushed in my face. I will no longer stand by and say nothing. i have beliefs and feel that i should be able to have a say also. I no longer be SHOPPING with JCPENNEYS!!! MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOU!

I will not longer support J C P as it has cholsen to become political in it's advertising rather than trying to sell clothes or other items. I have a different moral belief than it's advertisement and do not wish my children and grandchildren to believe that JCP's advertisement is the correct thing to do.

Thank you JCPenney for your sensitive Father's Day ad showing two dads with their children, particularly in light of the homophobic pressure put on you to fire Ellen Degeneris because of her sexual orientation. I'm glad you didn;t cave to such bigotry. Modern families come in all shapes and colors and any combination can show love and caring for children.

J.C.Pennys is not like it use to be,there use to be workers on the floor ready to help customers put there outfits together not now, you can't find help and most of the worker don't know NOTHING,every now and then you might get an older person that knows what you are looking for and have answers to all of your questions.J.C.Pennys use to train ther employees.there are some nasty employees in some of the stores.I fill if you don't know how to work with the public you should not be working.There are all kind of attuides out there and if the employees can't be patient they don't need to work there.i like buying clothes,shoe ect.there but I get irrated when I go there now.

My husband hand I just cancelled our 25 year account we held with jcp because of it"s gay couple ads. Mark my word, you are headed for a downfall -SOONER OR LATER.
