I wish there were a no star rating! The quality of the clothing is so poor...if I wanted cheap clothing at reasonable price points, I would shop at Old Navy. While the return policy seems customer friendly who wants to waste time shopping twice for the same poor quality. I believe that I am owed gas money and lost time. A comment about the advertising.....effective bright innovative and enlightened. And as far as the bigots and hateful people out there...I am a heterosexual monogamous married thirty five years mother of two Catholic who judges not lest she be judged....mind your own business. You know gay people...you have either shut them out of your life (good christian that you are) don't know who they are yet or are closeted yourself. WWJD? Shame on you.

JCPenney was one of my favorite places to shop. Whoever is leading your company now seems very ill-advised. I have cut up my credit card and sadly...and I mean that...will not be shopping at JCP any more. Why would you take such an ungodly stand...is the almighty dollar more important than moral values? This is America, for heaven's sake...built and established on godly principles and morals. Sorry, JCP...I will miss you...but even though I am only one, I am one...and must and will take a stand against the direction you seem to be taking.

Want a good idea to make your store a real hit? Have a WEEKEND SALES PARTY! I walk the mall every weekend I can, and let me tell you; people go to the mall to have a good time and get out of the heat. The reason your last idea failed is because no one had a reason to go there on the weekend...WHEN PEOPLE HAVE MONEY! PARTY - PARTY - PARTY! It will draw customers like crazy especially if you have good advertised sales. They will love it.

When you hired your previous ceo, I knew you were headed for disaster. I have seen these hot shots come in and think everything is wrong with the company, so they change everything. Well take a look at your stock. I am glad I don't own any. JC Penney should go back the way it used to do business. We have not been in any of their stores since they really quit having sales. Some businesses never learn. Thanks Jim

I have shopped at JC Penney's for 40 years, feeling their quality was good and the prices reasonable. NO MORE. The man who founded the company, J.C. Penney himself, was a man after God's own heart, committing from inception of the company the bulk of his income to Christian ventures. Growing up,it was one of my favorite Sunday School stories. I am tempted to say "he is turning over in his grave" at the moral atrocities being LAUDED through Penney's current advertising!! However, Mr. Penney is actually in Heaven; I am certain he is weeping profusely over this. I regret sincerely the impending demise of what was once a great institution.

Why give the new CEO til august to turn things around? I have visited a JC Penney store one time in the last 6 months. I previously shopped there at least every 2 weeks. Why not immediately return to the Penneys that we knew. Send the Coupons, improve customer service, advertise your sales. We will then RETURN

Pandering to the LGBT folks is business suicide. They are less than .05 percent of the population. Your on the boycott list at my church of 1000 families along with Starbucks and Target.

I'm sorry to hear that Penney's is choosing to cater to a group of people that only accounts for about 5% of the population. I'm not condemning these who choose a lifestyle of their choosing. However, I cannot condone it either. I hope they come to repentance berfore they reach their eternal destination. As for me, I have purchased every suit but two from Penney's. Most of my causual clothing comes from Penney's. My wife and children's clothing, for the most part were purchased from Penney's. I have contacted both my local stores and the corporate office. I will no longer shop at Penney's until they stop promoting this type of lifestyle. This is not about equality. It is about them promoting the breakdown of the family. I am in the process of cancelling out my credit cards from them. I thought about asking to be removed from their mailing list, but that would save them money. Please clean up your business, JCP. Farewell, Penney's.

I have worked at jcp for four years and I LOVE the changes. Prices have been lowered. Who needs coupons? Without coupons and daily changing sales items are easy to search for and no longer do you have to worry about getting a better deal on tues Friday or Sunday. Clearance racks are full now with items that are new and priced much lower than before. And about supporting a non traditional lifestyle, that is so AMAZING. JCP is supporting OPEN MINDEDNESS. If you are so mad that this company is willing to except everyone for who they are, then shame on you. God loves everyone, remember? Not just traditional white folk.

Dear Mr. Johnson: With all due respect; have you been in a JC Penney's store lately? We now jokingly and bittersweetly refer to the stores in Northeast Ohio as the "walk-through" stores! They are ghost towns! Employees are wandering lost and aimlessly with frowns upon their faces. In a very short time you have wiped out several generations of JC Penney's loyals!!! There is still hope; but it needs to start with customer input! Not only have you succomed to bizzare tactics promoting your product, the quality of the merchandise in the store is at an all time low!!! Have you ever stepped foot in the store in Stronsgille, Ohio? I once touted clothing purchased at Penney's when I traveled for pleasure and business to New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Rancho Santa Fe, and the Palm Beaches. Often asked where I purchased an outfit, they looked in dismay when I responded Penney's in Ohio!!! Now, my grandmother will not even purchase the clothing...love you gram! The quality is sooo last year, as are the designs across the board! Can you say H&M, Cache, Macy's, or Forever 21???!!! It is not only clothing, but the domestics and household items as well!!! It is not too late! Please come home! I am currently unemployed and would luv a chance to escort you and introduce you to the next generation of JC Penney's!

My family has shopped at JC Penny since my earliest memories. Untold millions of dollars have been spent by my grandparents, parents and and myself, attracted to a store known for it's founding father character, quality products and reasonable prices. But no more. Like so many other comments above, I am saddened by the agenda being pushed by Penny's through their new attempts to gain customers and will take my money and loyalty elsewhere. As an American, I STILL have that freedom. Penny's has long veered from the founding principles of James Cash Penney, Jr. How very sad....

As a customer I note: Lots on nice bedding and towels Lots of jeans to chose from; many cheated on crouch and midrift by manufacturer. Men's underwear perhaps two sized to small then noted; cheated by manufacturer. Men's shirts being chyeated by manufacturers on at least one size smaller then noted. Men's weaters generally being cheated on size across sholders, chest, weist and notably collar. Men's suits and sports jackets of the poorest quality; thin material; not of current styling. Docker slacks very popular but recently parced in supply.......some reengineering happening too. St. John's Bay winter coats popular but recently parced in supply and quality. Jewery section way to large (generally subject to theft) and lacking in competive quality. Shoe area to confined and lacking in sales campaign and selection

GET RID OF JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!WE CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP HIM!!!!!!

Loved the catalogs, since they've gone very rarely shop on line, used to spend a lot of money from catalog ideas, now the monthly magazine is a waste, stop sending them and go back to catalogs can still have the lowest prices but the catalog gave me lots of ideas and I bought a lot of clothes, housewares and others from these ideas and spent a lot of money am very dissatisfied with Penneys now.

How much longer are you going to let Johnson destroy JCP??????????

Penny's should be aoutomatically issuing their own branded credit card to ANY customer using any customer who has already qualified to use any other national card. It worked well for Sears when creating the Discovery Brand, and, could do equally well for Penny's if they just mailed pre approved cards to their own customer base. We a talking big money here; )! -- Penny's should also renegotiate all their existing Mall Leases at a 20% reduction in rentals, or, move! Old malls must expect a lowering in rentals for national customers across the board. More money; ). Personally, I think it a bad idea to have ended the generation's old business of offering free all inclusive Penny's catalogs (replacing those with the monthly features lacks commitment and lends itself to manipulative administration and purchasing disjucture). An observation; ). Lots of 'Why Nots': Why not offer mass produced quality designer clothes? Why not offer St. John's Bay winter clothing anymore, (Canada does it best). Why not stop dealing with non christian manufacturers as Penny's having to constantly check for cheating on production in size/type/and materials used is defeating sales gains! Why not hire more christians to run what historically had been a christian run enterprize? Commerce in its success is a christian invention of 'not cheating the other guy'; with only christianity having that goal...(not a goal in China; probably why Great Britian never colonized the entire county; focusing on Hong Kong.....and America Tiwain. Do similarly; with no production on mainland China as they cheat. The truth told; you'd do far better going for designer quality and manufacturing in the Phillppines, Hatti, etc.

I fully support JC Penny and their inclusiveness. This is a country made of all different types of people and religious arrogance and hatred has no place in this country. I am now shopping JC Penny more than ever as is my elderly mother and father. For all of you who have nothing but hate in your heart, good riddance.

For all of those having heart attacks over JCP supporting everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, where in those ads did JCP tell you that you need to do anything pertaining to homosexuality? oh. nowhere. Instead they chose to show families that exist in our society. Who cares if they are not the "tradition man and wife"? they are still PEOPLE, who have children, who have rights, who have feelings. Thank god a corporate company with a voice is able to appreciate all of their customers. I have worked for JC Penney for many years. I have seen all of the changes. The store is more organized and clean without people coming in daily to try and fix every sign in the store to accomodate for that days "sales". And i wish people would realize that the every day values are just as good as the sales. I helped change the pricing stickers when we did the change. All of the items went on to the same sale price or lower than that times sale. People are more mad that they dont have an "original price" to compare to. But the original price was a gimmick. The company could have made up any original price and made you think that you were saving 70% but yet that item was the sale price every single day since we carried it in store. YOU WERE SAVING IMAGINARY MONEY. If you think I am wrong, go look at shoes at KHOLS and compare to JCP. Khols shoes are usually priced 5 or 10 dollars more for the exact same pair. No offense to those that lost thier jobs, but a company doesnt work for its employees. Thats just not how business works. As an employee, I am sorry for those who had bad experiences. I personally make an effort to be smiling and as helpful as possible. If I am going to spend 8 hours in the same place, I might as well stay busy and make the most of everything.

How disappointed Mr. Penney would be if he had lived to see this day. J.C. Penney was a result of a Christian man wanting to provide fair based values for Americans. Somewhere in our "progressively forward" society that has been lost. Like it or not those WERE the principles for Mr. Penney. No longer. As for me and my family it will be a difficult (but not) decision to sever our ties from the NEW JCP. The reason, I am an employee (soon to be submitting my resignation) and a 30 year client of J.C. Penney. Rest in peace James Cash Penney. Your legacy has come to an unfortunate end.

We have shopped Penney's since the 1950's and am now disappointed in how you support gays/lesbians. I am sure that the founder, JC Penney, himself, would have a problem in erasing all he stood for. I do not care to buy from Penney's and support your cause. Also am disappointed in some of the brands you have discarded..ones that many others are also looking elsewhere for, such as Cabin Creek. Your new way of doing and keeping up with the direction this world is moving is not a good way to go. Some things that this world support are not good ways to follow..To sell out good morals will not pay off. You lose women customers, you will lose all.
