I used to shop at JC Penney at least once a month. After the changes put in place about six months ago I realized there's virtuallly little inventory now in ladies' clothing. I can't even find anything to buy in the store anymore and the website has scaled down as well. For instance, womens Worthington dress pants, there were so many colors and styles and now there's one or two. Do with this information what you may but I was a long time customer and would definitely return if you stock your store again.

I use to love shopping at JC Penny. It was my favorite I an a taller woman with long legs, JC Penny was the only place I could find jeans that fit (Comman Jeans Brand). They no longer carry. Boo! And I always bought my son the Simply Sports Brand sweats. No longer sells them! Boo! Again. I hate how the store is set up now & hate how the sales are set up. No longer a JC PENNY customer! What are you doing JCP?Llooks as if others feel the same way!

Never, Never, Never order from JCP , rotton service, many phone calls and everybody blameing everybody else, "WHITE GLOVE SERVICE" on delivery is a joke, I have cancelled my credit card and will never set foot in a JCP store, hopefully they go out of business soon

I use to LOVE JC Penny! Now I HATE it! It has taken all the brands I loved and discontinued them. I hate the set up and atomosphere in the re-designed store. I have moved my business to Dillards. Maybe if JCP looses enough customers/money, they will come to their senses and fix this!

Disgraceful that now their ads do not state JC Penney rather, they now call themselves JCP... who on earth is running this graceful and outstanding company? Shameful, Sr. Mgt is giving the impression to the customers that they cant stand the original name... the "powers to be" have made the biggest mistake by eliminating Sales days... stupid... you cannot change something that the housewife who is use to seeing SALE. All of the sudden sales have been eliminated...No wonder the stock is down "in the toilet".. those that have invested their money in the stock should get rid of top management and the board that has allowed such stupidity to occurr.

i have always bought my clothes here... i am tall and have never been let down by penneys!!! they are now worst!!!! on my list!! there clothes are the worst made... cheap!!!! the new owners are a disgrace!!! hope they fail!!! going to lerner and company!!!

I would like to write a review of the store in Hemet, Caliofrnia. When you get ready to walk in the mat they have in front of door is terrible looking, The windows have the tinted coating on them which has peeled in many places and it look like trash, When I went into the store yesterday it looks like a place that is going out of business. So few items. I get the feeling when I go into that store they do not expect to much from their customers, like they think you have no taste in good things, If I was the manager on this store I would be ashamed, and pennys should be.

After reading the reviews from other customers. I see that I am not the only person disatified with the new JCP. The 3 stores that I have been in looks as if they were going out of business. I will not be shopping at JCP. Another customer lost. Oh well the quality and selecton that I used to find as no longer available. ANA, St John Bay, east 5th. I was told that they were being replaced by Liz Claiborne. I have been a fan of Liz for years and this stuff is cheap. Not Liz quality she used to have. Even the larger dept store etc as Macy, Dillard, Belk no longer stock Liz. Even Walmart has better tee shirts. White Stag is thicker and holds up better. I think that you could save money by not sending that monthly sale booklets and stock some better quality clothes. The linens are another problem. How about something that is made in the USA I have found some at the Stage Store. Cheap is not better. I think you could save money by not sending that monthly sale booklet and stock some better clother and the linens are a joke.

I opened an account in July 2012, made one payment of $75.00, due to banking issues , the check was returned,so I contacted the customer service dept to handle the matter, no help, I then paid off the account on Sept 17,2012. The balance was ZERO.... JC PENNEYS attempted a debit from my account a few weeks ago, late September. I had to stop this payment, of which I already cancelled. Now, its considered a return check and my account is closed through them. Then, I get a refund check in the mail from JC PENNEYS for the 60.00 that should have not been taken out in the first place. I had them stop payment on this check from them. I HAVE CONTACTED SEVERAL ACCOUNT MANAGERS ONE NAMED TRACY, AND THE CORPORATE OFFICE AS WELL. I HAVE FILED TWO COMPLAINTS , FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND BETTER BUSINES BUREAU. I WILL NEVER NEVER SHOP OR USE THIS STORE AGAIN.

about a year ago i slipped and fell on water in the store and not one person acted as if they cared,two people saw me fall and both worked there ,i told them there was water on the floor and got up a little embarassed that i fell went in the bathroom and when i came out the water was still there, thats when i got mad call the manager over and told her and she just made me fill out a report no im sorry or anything about a week later corp called me offered me gift cards and i told them i didnt want them all i wanted was for them to train their workers to take a little more caution, well last week i was out there again and guess what water was on the floor again there is a water cooler there i told one of the workers and she said she would get someone to clean it up so i waited 20 min and still noone came to clean it up so i said something again and she said well i called and thats all i can do.well all i can say is if you want a law suit it coming because someone is not going to be as nice as i was

I have always bought my clothes and my daughters school clothes at Jcpennys, just about every pair of pants/capris of my daughters after a wash or two they fray on the back right??? What is the deal? I spend a lot of money on these items.

I use to love shopping at JCP. That was the place i was always able to find nice clothes at good prices but now, I HATE this store. There is hardly any merchandise in the store and whoever the buyer is sucks because the few pieces of clothing that they do have look cheap and very ugly! I will not be shopping at JCP anymore unless there are some major changes!

I am 63 years old and have been a faithful J C Penney shopper all of my life. I even worked for J C Penney when I was in my 20's. This past weekend, My wife and I were looking around in our local J C Penney which has been remodeled and came upon the section with the new J C Penney line of clothing. I picked up a shirt and was shocked when it said "Made in China." Just about every item in the store is made over seas, but I was dismayed and even ANGRY that J C Penney's own line was made over seas as well. Tell me why I should continue buying from and supporting J C Penney when they don't even support American workers! I give J C Penney five sour gapes and will certainly not be buying much from J C Penney in the future! You have lost a valuable customer.

You used to carry Cabin Creek Jeans. That brand was discontinued. You used to carry Made for Life or SB active. That brand was discontinued. Your store is forgetting about the 50 to 70 range shoppers. Shame on you

I would just like to address the posibility of using self check out instead of people to check you out. Do not change the way things are done. I rather deal with a person than with a machine.In a world dominated by the non personal touch (texting, tweeting, facebooking)I like that personal interface with the clerks that can get me assistance if I can't find someone. Plus, don't take jobs away. If you want to improve sales then go back to coupons. People are programed to the use of coupons, me included. I love the prices and the products that you carry, but, if you want to get the merchandise moving then use coupons. You can make it so that you can use them on a total purchase that way people would spend more money. If you spend $25.00 get $5.00 off of total purchase. If you spend $50.00 you get $10.00 off, etc. Anyway, I have worked in retail as a sales associate and customer service and that is one thing the customer would always ask "any coupons?". So all I'm saying is try this formula before you start changing the dynamics of the stores as they are. Change is good sometimes, but sometimes change is bad.

FOR SOMEONE TO HAVE 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND TO RECEIVE MINIMUM WAGE PAY IS JUST UNHEARD OF. I have been a loyal customer of JCP for 30 plus years. I have furnished my house, clothes my family, bought all my house hold appliances from JCP. Your new no coupon, ridiculous add magazine and your trying to be more than what people want from JCP. Your customer service has gone down the drain. I don't know how you screen your employees, but I think you need to look at there people skills first. Your employees are rude and lazy. If it's not in front of them they will not ask or help you find anything. Your company is loosing many customers to Kohl's. Your new CEO is running JCP out of business. We all hate what's happening. I hope it changes back to the way it was before. Christmas is coming and I quess I will have to shop somewhere else probably Kohl's

JCP's Ad Agency should be fired. JCP has finally made strides in turning it's image and perception of being out of touch around. However, their Marketing Department single handledly reminded us how out of touch they continue to be. The current TV ad campaign airing is an embarassment. Beatifully shot and written but set to the same music as a current long running Viagra commercial and in the same musical venue as Cialis. How stupid could their Ad Team be? Do they really think their choice of music in a social media, iTunes age would not draw comparisons? All be it the music it cool but already associated with old geezer's. Total turn off consciously and/or subconsciously. JCP may be with the times but their Ad Team clearly is not.
