Hello! With pride I went to the JCP Store in Santa Maria. The store looked nice and loved the stylish products and the excellent prices. The quality of products and the price I like very much. Therefore, I have decidied to purchase Giftcard and Gifts from your company. As I was shopping and admiring your product, an announcemet came over the loud speaker. It was in spanish and I payed attention and waited for the announcement in English. No such luck. I was very distracted and drawen away from my amusement since I did understand one word Por favor. Kept thinking what this announcement was about. What if it is an emergency or a special and so on. At last, I came to the conclusion that only Spanish speaking customers are welcome and included in the shopping experience. Remembering when I came to the US not speaking any English, JCP didn't give me any special treatement. No other language was acknowledged and English is the language of this Nation. I definately wont shop at this JCP ever again. Perhaps I will go to a neighboring town, which wont happened very often. A wish of mine is that JCP changes their attitude toward others and welcome all customers by speaking English.
Bogus Buttons
I went to JCPenney's with $65.00 in buttons only to have the supervisor come over and tell me I could use on 1-$10.00 coupon!! I purchased a shirt for $8 then she told me you can't use that because I'm not giving you any money back !!! I didn't want any money back I wanted to purchase Christmas presents. What in the world how is it that you go into a store and have $65 worth of gift certificates and can't use them !!! Plus 1-$10 gift cert they said had already been used !!! By who??? I am the only one who can access my email !!! I will not be returning to JCPenney's !!!!
No salon manager
Every time i visited store 2703 salon, my stylist always stated salon manager not in. I've heard this on multiple occasions and i think its starting to bother my stylist. When i was in the perm i use on my hair they were out and my stylist was very uncomfortable with telling me. I heard her and others state that the manager off more than work. They never have the supplies needed. Also my stylist stated she doesn't think the manager enjoy her job. I would like to see some changes because i hate to lose my stylist for fifteen years.
JCP Service
The service is the worst I ever had in any kind of stores even the cheapest one!!! The delivery time is delayed they have a back order item that is actually on the store. Poor customer service, I order my family Christmas gifts on 12/10/2012 and today I do not have any, and everything are available on the store!!! What a Shame for a big company !!!!! I will cancel my credit with them after this event!!!
DISAPPOINTED
I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THE JCPENNY'S ON LINE AND AT THE STORE IN MY TOWN. I ORDERED 30 TOWELS AND ON LINE IT SAYS 4-7 DAYS AND IT HAS BEEN 17 DAYS SINCE I PLACED THE ORDER. WHEN TO JCPENNY'S STORE IN OUR TOWN AND THE COULD NOT TRACK THE ORDER LIKE THE LADY ON LINE SAID ON LINE, EVEN WITH HER TRACKING NUMBERS. I HAVE ALWAYS SHOPPED JCPENNY'S BUT THEY HAVE LOST THIS CUSTOMER FOR GOOD. THEY NEED TO REDO THE STORE IN PETOSKEY, MI. TRUTHFULLY NEED TO GET A NEW LOCATION AND UPDATE THIS STORE. JUST A BAD EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND.
Awful communication and shipping!
JCP customer service is such a fiasco. I ordered my items on 11/26/2012 and guess what I still don't have my items! I called and they told me 2 items were on back order until 12/06 and they hold all items until the back ordered ones come in (uh ok this is new). Anyway checked UPS and delivery was scheduled for Friday 12/14 and guess what you got it nothing! Called customer service and the rep told me that UPS gives the package to usps and then they deliver(huh). A little counter productive but whatever. Then I ask ok well I need JCP to find my items and she said " You will have to contact your local USPS and talk to them". Really people you wonder why your business is not thriving well hello start with your lack of customer service and the ability to communicate and follow through! I have to followed up on my purchase and doesn't look like I will have it anytime soon....
When I was a teenager in the 1950s I appreciated JC Penny. I bought all my clothes there through high school and college and for four more decades. We are done with JC PENNY we will NEVER enter one of your stores or buy by catalog or on line again from JC PENNY, unless you severe your relationship the crooks GE Credit. We have had trouble with them for decades. We have had. And JC Penny will pay the price for their mal treatment of your customers.
Buttons
Monday and Tuesday of this week my daughter and I entered our button codes that we recieved at JCP and when we entered them we found out that the codes had already been entered!!!! So now we are drawn into the store, get our buttons to find out this!!!! Someone in these stores need to be addressed as to what is transpiring or are they told to do so or do we have some employees going against company policy???????
Wow, how things have changed! There are no more dept. managers but rather MODs (managers on duty), no catalogue or customer service( now it's on employees at the quads), no more coupons! But you know what, it's fabulous! I was a avid shopper throughtout the years until a few yrs ago when all the change inside Penneys happend. I assumed that with no coupons it meant NO savings. Well let me tell you, it's better! You don't have to worry about running to the store before the deadline to use the counpons, or remember to bring it! It's always the best price. Plus the public does not understand to take the time to relieze that Penneys has an extensive clearence rake throughtout every department. I love how they have toys this year, it really help to find the same item and half the price and saves me time on traveling. I do recommend that they incorporate an electronics department thought. It will be a bumppy road until people take the time to go to Penneys and walk throught the store instead of making assumptions. Good work Mr. Johnston!
I have spent thousands of dollars with J.C. Penney over the years and will not do business again (I haven't since you chose Ellen Degeneres as spokesperson). Don't wonder why your stocks and business are going down. Your company used to represent values and some sense of morality and conservatism. Conservatives and Christians can't support you in good conscience, no matter the service or product. Sorry.
Bogus buttons
On black fri received 2 buttons for a 110.00 in purchases my friend had 65.00 in purchases Nd because she had a cute 2 year old she was given handfuls of buttons ending with a grand total of 51 buttons.! Yet my two daughters go to jcpenney tonight and get no buttons!!! Side note my friend has since when again and received 26 buttons on 2nd visit! PLAY FAIR JCPENNEY!!!!this was Fort Smith arkansas
OMG...WHO FILLS THE ORDERS
I agree with Chuck....I also ordered 2 items on black friday weekend...was told 4-7 businesss days to receive items...my order was not even shipped until the following Sunday...7 days after I placed the order....Customer Service is a JOKE!!....the "girl" told me one of the items I orderd was cancelled cuz they were out and couldn't find anything to replace it with....WTW..replace it!!! Oh but the good news is we got the item in stock and now we can ship what you ordered....REALLY...DUH....however when I FINALLY received the order my Nike workout pants turned into a sequined shirt and a pair of moccasins....WTH......so done with JCP...no wonder the store is failing!!!
New Marketing
I was never impressed with JCP in the past. However, I am so excited about Ellen DeGeneres as the new spokesperson. It is so impressive to me that JCP is willing to stand up to small-minded individuals and market to real people, no matter what their orientation. I am happy to spend my money with JCP. Keep up the great work and stand your ground in the face of "one million" bullies!
Shipping dissappointment
Ordered quite a few things on-line Black Friday. My comformation e-mail said it would be delivered in 4 to 7 business days. On day 7 no delivery. Called customer service and was on hold for almost 20 minutes and when I asked about my order I was told it was sitting in the warehouse and was waiting for shipment. Asked why the delay and was told they were extremely busy and it would be shipped as soon as possible. Asked when it would be shipped and was told she didn't know. Ordered from Amazon.com on Black Friday and received it 3 days later. JC Penney at one time was a great company...what has happened? They lost a long time loyal customer.
black friday slowness
i ordered something a lot of active wear online, and 6 days later it still hadnt shipped, nor was there any updates.........call customer service,and instead of giving me answers, the girl just said "please hold" and hung up in my face....finally spoke to a supervisor and she just kept saying "im sorry" i understand..........but that doesnt make communication with your warehouses any better, no make the items ship faster.. Macys also had black Friday, and I got tons of stuff within 2-3 days, and 95 percent was UPS sent. Pitiful! Everybody has Black Friday..........that is no excuse.......this experience is burned in my mind...
JCP no longer cares about customer service. For years they rated #1 it will be VERY interesting where they now rate. Maybe JCP then will realize what a mess they have made out of the company. Common sence says you can not have few employees doing other jobs and trying to also help customers. The workers are running all over the store and so you can not find them for help. PS your christmas buttons what a joke one worked and the other did not . Tried it several times with no results. JCP top guns your killing the stores yourselfs.
What happened to Pennys????
Review--worse than bad or poor. Why did you take away the big and tall St.Johns merchandise. I loved to order on line to see what I could get my husband for differn't events. He's a Gideon, Emergency mgmt, Cert,etc but I can't find the great quality items. You took them out of your store, but these were the great clothing I could find. 1-You need to come to a Penny's store and visit with the people that are shopping. 2nd-all your merchandse is thin, poor grade of material, 3. Pourly made and they are for teen's. Womens clothing is a farce now and bbla bla bla. You know already the junky poor grade you ordered in from countries over seas that take jobs away from Americans. I won't shop in your store or these so called catalogs you send out. You will go out of business I promise you.
I Hate Your "New Look"
Rating: -10 Stars!!!! Besides Kohls, JCPenney, was my place to shop. I can't stand the "trendy", cheap garbage that is in the marketplace that is terribly made and makes adults look ridiculous. I could depend on this store to provide well-made, classic, but not frumpy clothing, good household items, etc. Now it just looks cheap! I loved St. John's Bay clothing -- bought some wonderful cords last year, sweaters,etc. Now you have nothing that I would buy -- not even my teen likes it. Get rid of this CEO and let's get back the real JCPenney. I won't be shopping there at all!!!!! I'll give my hard earned money to some other retailer that doesn't cave in to junk.
Kudos to you for the new store layout and updated clothing choices. I rarely shopped JC Penney before due to the overcrowded racks, lack of selection and over inflated prices that needed the gimmicky, constant barrage of coupons to neutralize. For lack of a better description, it felt very discount to me. I appreciate the "fair and square" pricing and the beautiful new look of the store. It is easier to maneuver in the store and is very visually appealing. As a petite, 40 something professional, I am now finding most of my clothing in your store. I purchase work, casual and even great workout clothes for my running hobby. I especially love the Liz Claibourne and Xersion lines. JC Penney is now my "go to" store and my first stop in our local mall ahead of any of the other large department stores. My friends are always complimenting me on my latest find and are shocked when I tell them where I now shop. Many of them are now heading your way. No, I do not work for, nor have a close friend or relative working for the company. I have NEVER contacted a corporation before with my opinion, but felt you should hear from someone who is really thrilled with the change! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you JC Penny my family ended up getting so much more than they would have for Christmas, it was an extremely lean year and I went to Pennys almost everyday after work so I could try to win when all was said and done I ended up with approx. 200.00 in buttons. Everyone is so pleased with there new pj pants and slippers I know it doesnt sound like a lot but it really made our christmas.
