JC Penney Corporate Office & Headquarters

I was a very loyal customer of JC Penney's but after hearing their awful commercial and reading about how they are changing their sales strategy, I will be doing my shopping elsewhere. I agree with the comment about the moronic advertising agency that came up with their most recent commercial..what were they thinking? Bad, bad idea.

Your current ad on TV with all the screamingis horrible and infuriating. I mute it when it comes on. I do not even know what the commericial is about and I have no intentions of finding out nor do I have any intentions of ever, ever again shopping at JC Pennys.

I cannot mute my tv fast enough when the commercial for 2.1.12 starts playing. Really bad move putting that one out there! Pls cancel or change it. * Clearly, though, some people are confused with the rating system and have Awarded 5 stars IN ERROR.

Your screaming commercial is one of the most offensive things I've ever heard on TV. When I first heard it, I thought it must be a promo for a horror movie. I was shocked to see that it was JC Penney. The ad agency who dreamed up that disaster should be fired. My dog cowers every time it airs as I scramble for the mute button. What were you thinking? Seriously? I just received a very expensive looking catalog in the mail from you and trashed it before I even opened it. My opinion of your company has plummeted. Screaming horror commercial = HUGE failure.

It is not true that any publicity is good publicity. That screaming ad is the worst and I have developed a new fondness for my MUTE button. I was ambivalent about JCPenny up 'til now. However, I have changed my opinion. If the moron that approved that obnoxious display is the caliber of professional running the company, then I truly want nothing to do with Pennys. Consider me NOT a fan.

Is there anything that will persuade you to pull this ad? You may wish to attract attention and to make an impression, but it is NOT a good impression. I am beginning to hate J C Penney as I hit the remote during the very first screaming note. Please! Fire your ad agency and the head of your marketing dept. We get it! No more sales at JCP... so knock it off now!

Normally, I don't take the time to write and complain but I agree with the rest of the viewers your commercial is the most irritating on T.V. I can't believe people got layed-off with long time service and instead you actually spent money for such trash for advertising! Its disgusting! It certainly doesn't want me to rush to your store to see the BIG DEALS that is suppose to be coming--2-1 What were you people thinking????

Your ad with the screaming ladies is an INSULT to Women... its AWFUL. Think of kids with Autism and those with Neurological issues, or an elderly person sleeping in their chair while watching T.V and being Startled awake by that awful screaming. What were you thinking!!!! Do you think you are going to be held responsible if there are those who have Neurological issues and are affected by this ad, or kids or adults with Autism who cannot have sensory overload. This is the most LOW CLASS thing to have put on the air. WHat the hell were you thinking. And what really pisses me off is that I went on line and saw ALL These Complaints and the damn commercial is still running.... Who the hell wants to be SCREAMED at. how would these advertisers like as they sit down to dinner or to watch TV to have some women SCREAMING AT them or outside their house getting mail SCREAMING to the top of their lungs.. its AWFUL.... what are they still running it because of money spent on it, or a contract.. that is worth all the damage and insulting image they have given. I dont plan on ever shopping at JCP CHeap Crap again.

Can you imagine Returning something to JCP and being greeted by those ladies SCREAMING!!! Shop at Nordstrom or Macy's they are much better quality I feel and better customer service. I wonder if JCP thought this was better to get bad Attention than no attention at all, the only thing is they have insulted so many people they LOST customers by insulting their senses, their home , their TV viewing and intelligence. JUST LOW CLASS and awful.

Last year I did nothing but rave about the pleasure I had in shopping at your stores. Your qulatity and prices were the best of any deptment store. The direction you were going was outstanding and and I shoped every week or two weeks. I'm sorry to say you have gone from a five star corp. down to a three. Whoever is heading your new marketing program is taking you down the same path as Wal Mart. You are a dissapointment and you will see a lot less of my purchase's. I'm one of 43 people that write for a consummer group rating through out the US and most of us feel you are now a dissapointment and will feel this in your stock.

Please, please take the commercial off the air immediately where the women are all screaming. So, so awful, disturbing, and irritating. Our family starts yelling to the person closest to the clicker to change the channel or turn the volumn off. The ad does not make a point and does no justice to JC Penny. Your current "screaming" commercial is one of the most annoying and pointless ads I have ever seen. You need a new advertising agency and while I applaud companies hiring the mentally challenged, you should not use them in positions where they would be deciding such important things as expensive television ads. This commercial is an appalling failure and a complete waste of money. Better that JCP be seen as a class organization with fair prices than to throw funds into the rubbish bin with idiocy like this. If your current television ad is an example of your new marketing strategy, then you've lost a customer. Certainly there are more informative & innovative ways to advertise lower pricing. Lower pricing alone is not a customer draw. Suggest improving store service, layouts & lines of merchandise first. Then you'd have something legitimate to advertise; & screaming, annoying commercials that are more likely to annoy customers than engage them won't be necessary.

If I could give 0 stars for that hideous, obnoxious screaming commercial you're running right now I would. PLEASE pull that awful ad. It goes on and on and does nothing but create a feeling of rage for JC Penney. It certainly doesn't want to make me a continued shopper. I want to be in a commercial screaming against your commercial. Thank God for TIVO.

Whatever possessed JCP to air the MOST ridiculous, obnoxious and irritating TV commercial ever? JCP could have done a MUCH better presentation to introduce upcoming discounted merchandise than having actors SCREAMING over discounts. The majority of TV commercials are minor irritations; JCP's SCREAMING commercial is WAY over the top. How very disgusting. I am so thankful for the MUTE button on my TV remote control. Please stop running this commercial. It does not present JCP in a good light. My suggestion is to have your Marketing people USE their creativity to change a POOR representation of a reasonably good retail store into an EXCELLENT representation of what should be a FINE retail store.

Your commerical with those people screaming is very annoying. Your marketing people can do better then that. I went to sears instead to shop the stuff i bought was 7 -8 dollars more expesive but Im not shopping JC penny till that commercial is gone

I am sure you paid good $$$ for the current tv ad. That money is gone, quess what you will never get a penny for me. Keep your 40% you might need it sooner than you think.

Please pull that miserable commercial with the moaning or screaming or whatever it is at once. That is the most annoying thing I have ever heard in my life. It frightens my pets whenever it comes on and I don't doubt it could frighten small children as well. Use some common sense, people. I think your new pricing structure might work; these ridiculous commercials, however, will drive my business to another company.

I am thoroughly disgusted with your new commercial. I can't get to my remote fast enough to mute it. That is the worst commercial I have EVER seen. It is a total turn off and doesn't encourage me to shop there. YUK!!!!!
