My goodness please stop the screaming ad! It is completely ineffective and rude. Shame on you JC Penny!

Oh My Gosh that screaming ad you have recently put on the air is awful. I mute immediately. You have lost me as a customer. Who in the world would OK that ad before airing? How sad that such an ad would be allowed on TV.

After reading the latest response to your new commercial, I guess I am one of the lucky ones never to have heard it. My experience with JC Penny: I always felt that the quality of clothing you sell in your stores was always better than what Macy's carries. I think that their prices are high for the quality of clothing you are getting. At the end of the year they have racks and racks of clothes at 50% to 75% off that they haven't been able to sell. Kohls has quality clothing but unless you buy on sale, their prices are high also. Unfortunately, I do not shop at Penny's as often as I would like because they closed several stores in my area. As far as the commercial.......hire the company that does the commercials for Geico then maybe people will watch and listen.

James Cash Penney founded our Company in 1902 based on The Golden Rule – it was even the name of his first store. I think Mr. Penney would be ready to FIRE every single employee who was involved in the decision to air that obnoxious screaming commercial. Really? Does ANYONE involved in the decision making for commercials think being screamed at is how ANYONE would like to be treated? If I see that commercial one more time, I am through doing business at Penney's!

The new TV ad is HIDEOUS!!The first time I saw it, I didn't even see what was being advertised because I fast forwarded after the first screaming woman. Then I decided to voice my opinion so I had to watch it again. Believe me, the second time is the last time. I've asked my friends for their opinion by saying "What do you think of the new JCP ad?" Each one asked what it was about. When I told them it was the one where everybody screamed "NOOOOOOO", they all said they didn't know it was JCP 'cause they muted it. So, not only is that the most annoying ad ever on TV, nobody knows what it's for. What dos that tell you? Nobody is watching it after hearing the screaming. Thank goodness for the 'mute' button. I know you're revamping your company -- I sure hope your other changes are not reflected by this awful and ineffective ad. Please take it off the air. Thanks. P.S. Thought it was only me who thought your latest tv commercial was the worst I have ever seen until I read all the other comments from viewers. I, too mute it or switch channels immediately. I think you should quickly find another advertising agency since this one is doing their best to drive away all your customers!

Your screamer at Christmas was bad enough. Totally annoying and inappropriate, only supporting the dysfunctional society we've created. Now your new ad with more screamers is so offensive that I will no longer shop Penney's after many, many years of loyalty. I love Kohl's and Kohl's it shall be. I sure hope you didn't give a bonus to whomever came up with the screamer routine!!

This commercial that is presently on tv @ this time advertising a sale for 2.1.12 is the absolute worst! I have to mute or change channels. I have never felt the need to voice my opinion about any advertisement what-so-ever until now. I am just speechless about what the advertising dept. of jcp was thinking when this commercial aired! Certainly not a positive outcome! Because of the stupidity, annoying, loudness, & definately the worst advertisement ever there is no way I personally would go shop this sale @ jcp!

Worst customer service i have ever had, my daughter has had the worst month of her life because of your jeweler sales people. I helped her boyfriend pick out a beautiful engagement ring for my daughter, great sale price and warrant policy. He proposed to her on christmas eve and she kept the ring for two days, bought it in to the store to get it sized. I understand you have to wait it was two weeks after she bought it in that she received a phone call that you jeweler could not size the ring from a 7 to a 9 1/2 because of the diamond on the sides of the ring. She was told when jcpenneys got the ring back they were going to take it to a local jeweler to have it sizing. Again a week later she got a call to tell her the same thing. My daughter informed her that the jewelers are incorrect, i myself had taken that ring to my jeweler before her boyfriend gave it to her to see how much it would cost to size, so she would have it done when he gave it to her. My jeweler told me $140.00 because he would have to add additional gold to band but it WOULD NOT ME A PROBLEM to size and would take 3 DAYS!!! I decided not to do it because of the cost. Jcpenneys jeweler manager didn't believe us and meet us at the jeweler that next day. She asked him why he was able to size then all the other could not he replied that he has over 40 year of experiance and he could do it just fine. Your manager told my daughter she would like to talk to her outside and told her if she wanted to get this ring sized there it would void her warranty her boyfriend bought and she didn't think her boss would approve the charge to size. She told her that normal cost to them to size is $60.00. This is totally not what she told my daughter when they talked before. She have told her if she could find a jeweler to do the sizing it would NOT affect her warranty and they would cover the cost of sizing. She came back into the store to make my daughter sign a form that she kept the ring. My jeweler told her that her customer service skills were terrible and if he talking to his customer and treated them that way her would not be in business. So at this point my daughter has to pay $140.00 for the ring to be sizing, she doesn't know if she will have a warranty and doesn't know if she can get it refunded for the additonal cost he paid. This ring is special to my daughter because he asked her to marry him with it, your sales people didn't care and told her to pick out a different ring. Really? I feel terrible because i bought my son-in-law to jcpenney to buy the ring..now i regret.

Who in God's name OK'd the newest commercial for JC Penney? Do you really thing that watching a bunch of obnoxious people screaming at us through our televisions will make us run to your store? Someone in the Marketing Department needs to be fired. It insults the intelligence of most of the consumers who spend their money at JCP. Do you know what I do when a company insults my intelligence and annoys me night after night? I stop spending my money in their stores....

your ad is so annoying that I mute the TV. i hope that a flash mob shows up at every JC penney store and starts screaming like your idiot actors in that commercial. See how you like it. There are not enough words to details my feelings about this ridiculous cmmmercial. I have shopped at JC Penney for over 45 years and I will never go there again just because you have offended my intelligence. Fire all the people involved especially the new CEO- apparently a real dumb ass!

If it were in my power every individual that had any part of the screaming ad would have to listen to it 24/7 for at least one month, along with sounds of the barking dogs and crying babies the ad evokes.

Please remove that horrible screaming commercial. I have shopped at your store for 60 years but no more. That is the most annoying commercial of any that has been created.

By far, the WORST advertising campaign I have ever seen, don't know what the commercial is about, I change the channel, or mute it right away. Does not compel me to shop at JCP. Hopefully this will be taken off the air soon, There has to be a better, more clever way to get your point across with out being insulting to an intelligent audience.

If this commercial is an example of the new ideas that are going to advance the JCP corporation in the business world.....good luck. You are going to need it. I and my money will not be there. This site's rating system should have a 0 star rating, as this commercial is less than poor.

Dear JCP -- are you getting the message. You are obnoxious and insulting. Get with the program. While I hate WM, at least they don't SCREAM at us. I shop at Dollar General and K-Mart -- neither of whom SCREAMS at us. They just have good prices. So I go. I will NOT be going to Penney's anywhere in the near future -- and I frickin' don't care if you are giving away a pair of shoes with each purchase or anything else. I don't "DO" screaming. I am so disappointed in a what should be an American piece of shopping history. I'm embarrassed for you. I really am. Be looking up the section on Chapter 7. It's coming, since this is (apparently) the best you can do? Baby Boomer + -- who was looking forward to shopping at JCP again. Too bad. Missed opportunity for you. Ugh!

I wish this would go straight to the CEO,Ron Johnson, who I saw on CNBC the other day...very impressive resume and spoke as someone who could help turn the company around....BUT after seeing & HEARING this stupid, insipid and offensive newest ad re the 2/1/2012 change I know I am not part of the target (no pun intended) group of shoppers for this store, and I can't imagine who would be!! WHO in their right mind would think this would appeal to a group of consumers...BIG mistake for the new boss...Apple would never have had an ad as dumb as this one!
