JC Penney Corporate Office & Headquarters

I have been working at JC Penney for over three years as a Sales Associate. The first two years were marvelous. The company worked with my schedule (I am a college student) and I got great hours. Ever since Johnson took over, I am NEVER scheduled to work. Half of my workers have been fired and yesterday 6 managers were fired from our store. No one ever shops at my JCP store anymore. Merchandise comes in and a month later it is on "Best Price". This company is going to be defunct soon, I can feel it.

Well,well how's the new and improved JCP doing now? Seems like the new Lesbian, gay agenda that you've been pushing may not be so rewarding after all!! See that you're laying off employees in mega numbers.....you've taken a company that a hardworking, Christian man, Mr. J.C. Penney built and have run it into the ground. So all your hardwork changing up his principles has been for naught.....tsk, tsk!

I HATE the new Jc Penny's. I want to see a sales paper not some stupid magazine that does not pertain to me. I'm 58yrs old, the magazine is for teenagers. I don't even open it up anymore. It goes into the trash. I can't beleive you make these cuts so that you could lay off folks. I'm now shopping at the other deparment stores. I like going into a store a looking for the sales items.

After shopping at Penneys for 30 years, I'm calling it quits. The so-called clothing ads for May that attempt to normalize homosexuality have taken your store out of the merchandising realm and into the moral. You are forcing your customers to take a stand. If your intent really is to just sell clothing, then why bring up sexual behavior at all?

Jcpenney use to have nice quality merchandise, and now it looks and feels cheap. There's nobody in the store to help with customer service. Change can be great if it's the right type of change. In this case it seems to not be. The adds on television are absolutely ridiculous and favor targets commercials. Only difference is that target seems to have better quality and better customer service. I bet James Cash Penney would not be happy with the changes, and the way employees seem to be treated now. I will no longer shop at any JCPenney.

Shame on JCP....Only ONE thing makes you a homosexual. That is homosexual acts. JCP has NO right to promote ANY sex live-style. You discriminated against the other moms in your May flyer by not allowing them to be represented with their sex partners. I call that special preference, what a bunch of hypocrites. Destroy the family, by splitting a family into a group of individuals, you can create individual consumers instead a group making responsible buying decisions. Do you really think the public is so stupid that we can't figure out what you are doing? WON'T SHOP AT JCP ANYMORE. Quit forcing your opinions on consumers, it will fly back in your face, there are plenty of places to take our business.

I quit shopping at JC Penney after spending thousands of dollars over the years. The way they treat their loyal employees is disgraceful. My daughter, who by the way has a special needs child was not allowed to work her two weeks after giving notice because she could not live on 20 hours a week. Not only did she have to find another job she also lost two weeks of pay. Real humane behavior here. Also your merchandise is horrible.

I have been a loyal customer of JC Penneys for years--however if Penneys will not remain neutral in the culture debate--yesterday was my last day shopping there--I will cut up my credit cards and never step foot in your stores ever again!

Will no longer shop at a JCPenney's store or website. Do not communicate the correct family values with your type of advertising.

There have been supervisors let go this week in the store that I work at. They put in years of work and dedication to JCP (yes,JCP, we are suppose to call it that, let's be more disrespectful to the man that built the company shall we?) you treat them terrible,PROMOTE some and then you throw them out like they are nobody because their "skills" are no longer needed in this company? How do you give a promotion and then discard them immediately? Sales are down, people are complaining there are no coupons,no SALES!! Customers WANT COUPONS, they WANT DISCOUNTS!!! JCPenney was a GREAT place to work, however JCP is NOT!!! I wish Ron Johnson would personally travel to these stores himself see how unhappy he has made the majority of employees and his customers, will he ever do that? No he won't, he doesn't care enough about either. The only smart thing that has been done is giving 20% off for applying for credit... BUT that is only for people who are approved....let's punish the people even MORE that NEED the coupons,discounts,and sales. Go ahead,help the economy out some more. Another thing, people who work for JCP making commission are hurting because Mr. Johnson took away the coupons,sales and discounts!!! There are no incentives for customers to shop in our departments. Taking out cashwraps and making people wait in longer lines doesn't do much for JCP either. I guarantee that JCP would make a complete turn around if they brought back the incentives. Yes the stores have lowered some prices but when it is all said and done in the end customers want to SEE with their own eyes COUPONS,DISCOUNTS and SALE SIGNS!!!! Get a clue.

How disappointed I am in your decision to go forward with your promotion of the gay and lesbians group.. this type of add has no place in penny's catalog. we have always held your company in high esteem, but now it will be over my dead body that i will give in and buy anything at your store, catalogs, outlets.. anything too do with penny's is on my families ban list. i am going to forward this email to all my friends all over the country and abroad. you think you can ram this down our throats in our christian country, think again. better be careful what you promote. we the people are your bread and butter. the lesbians and gays, I don't believe they can keep your sales up. the christian people of this land is going to have the last laugh this time. what a sad state of affairs, I never dreamed I would ever be writing this email to a good company my family has always found to be good quality, and high standards. a few rotten apples spoil the barrel of fruit. that is what you as the corporation has allowed to happen. better wake up folks.Shame on you at the top of this company. Wow, I work in retail as a Store Manager at another chain and have heard nothing but complaints from my customers about how horrible JCP is now. I have never been a big fan but shopped there occasionally. I have also never heard such dissapointment from a customer about a competitor. I can not help but think about how one bad experience can magnify itself, evenhough i coach it every day, this is real and working very negatively for JCP. Sounds like 2012 may really be the end.... For Ron and JCP of course.

I was called in to my store manager's office this past Monday and told that my skills weren't up to the new company standard and I was being let go with 10+ years of service under my belt. I didn't get to say goodbye to any of my fellow associates. I was ushered to my locker to clean it out and walked out to my car like a criminal. When I took over the position in May of 2011 I was told by my store manager that I did not need to do my official positional training. She told me she was training me. How was I supposed to hone my skills if I was not "allowed" to do my training? The company is slowly going downhill. My old store has cut hours so bad that they cannot schedule associates to open the store. The supervisors have had their hours cut so bad that they have very little time to complete their work. We would have to cover a department the first hour we were open to make up for not having an associate opening in a department. Then we would have to take an hour for meal, have a two to three hour Manager on Duty shift, and cover another employee's one hour meal. That's five to six hours out of a seven hour day. This did not give any of us enough time to do our work. If you still work for the company, beware. No one's job is safe.

I received the May catalog in the mail today! I am APPALLED with what JC Penney's is advertising!!! My family and I have been loyal customers for many years being JC Penney's is a one stop shop for my family. At times I will sit down with my 6 year old daughter and circle or mark the pages of the catalog of what we want to order/buy on our next shopping trip. I will definitely NOT allow her to see this catalog! Going through May's catalog, pages 10-11 displaying a lesbian couple!!! What a shame! Page 59 a male model with a tattoo on his arm. Pages 60-61 a male model with tattoos on his arms. Not even displaying his face. Same issue on pages 72-73! Page 92 another male model with a tattoo on his ankle! Are they selling TATTOOS or are they selling clothing?!!! Pages 84-85 a beer mug displayed in the male models hand with which appears to display the couple as they are drunk in front of the child? I could not believe what I was seeing. This is very disturbing that JC Penney's would allow this filth to be advertised in a family catalog! I am quite disturbed and disgusted with this catalog and plan to do something about this. What a horrible decision for JC Penney's to allow this type of advertisement of what they represent! Can we file a class action lawsuit? It is obvious that on Monday, April 30th, the majority of us (3000 to 4000 - plus nationwide!) were laid off for being over 40, and earning a well deserved salary that did not fit with the company's 'bottom line' new vision. Isn't this illegal? Thirty plus years of DOCUMENTED excellence in job performance. You told me that my contributions were valued, needed and would be rewarded. So I worked harder and longer and gave my life to this company. It's very slick of you, JCPenney, to offer us a severance package with urgent instructions to SIGN IT QUICK. Afterall, we are now facing the possibility of not having a job anytime soon, with bills to pay, and no health insurance, so a little bit of money from you sounds so great..BUT with that signature, we give up the right to sue you, and you get us to go away as quickly and quietly as possible. We need to use this claim to file a very expensive lawsuit against JCPenney. Interesting how you've kept this quiet from the media the last few days... I'll be watching JCP stock now that the word is getting out. It's also interesting how some reports are stating that the decision to lay off middle management was based on a 3 year appraisal rating trend. No wonder the clueless store manager who gave me my severance package was stumbling over his words when I asked him 'why?' I was a top performer for many years compared to my peers, and received verbal and written confirmation of this fact as recent as last week! Here's a clue: to become 'America's Favorite Store', by being 'Fair and Square' you need to learn the definiton of integrity and ethics. Time to look for an attorney.

I'm giving you 5 stars for the Ellen Degeneres ads. I'm straight - I love Ellen - watch her show - she loves everybody. I haven't shopped at JC Penney a lot lately because there's no store near me. After seeing the hateful comments from the "million women", I'll go ahead and plan to shop at Penney's 60 plus miles from me.

How nice that you are trying to update the old JCPenney image but your TV ads are pityful copies of Target, but way less cool and just look like a bad copy. Your new CEO has fired thousands of employees with no notice which is really unfair. I will no longer be shopping at any Penney store or website. The only positive is that you didn't cave to the narrow minded cretins who tried to force you to fire Ellen Degeneres, I guess you've done one thing right.

It seems with the days and times we are living in right now everything and everyone is becoming more and more corrupt and there are no morals if any at all - I will never step foot inside your stores again - what this country was founded on - the bible - you have literally mocked it and just thrown it out the window- The Lord Jesus Christ designed marriage to be between a man and a woman and a man laying with a man or a woman with a woman is an abomination to him - so this shows that you are against what the bible stands for and the bible says we reap what we sow - I think you should have kept your company out of the immoral wars taking place today. I want corp. to know what they are doing is awful. Putting families on the street without a job. What ever happened to the Golden Rule? Looks like Penney's don't practice what they preach. You have no idea what you are doing to families. Letting people go because they make too much so you can pay the new CEO. People needed thier jobs to get by and insurance because without it, they will suffer and lose everything. Because of you, people that worked hard for you for 20 or more yrs, are now gone because you want to save money. What you did is so aweful. People are trying to raise thier children and now, they are hurting to pay the bills and keep thier home. People have spent most of thier lives working for you and you give them the boot because you want to save money so you can pay your CEO. You big corprate companies are all the same. You think about only yourselves and what you can get out of crushing peoples lives. I thought you were a differant company, but you are just like the others. You don't really care about the people that work for you. You use them until they start making enough money to raise thier family and BAM, you jerk thier dreams right out from under them. One associate was going to sign on a home when she learned she was going to be fired because she has been thier too long and was making enough money to make her dreams come true. You people are harriable. You discuss me on what you do to people. You don't care about them, you are all about the money and how much you can stomp upon to get it. What goes around comes around. Remember that. You just can't treat people like that. People depended on thier jobs. But you don't care. You only care about yourself. You don't care about the people that works and have worked for you. You people make me sick. The way you use people that works so hard for this company so you can destory thier lives. That is all that JP Penney means to me, A COMPANY THAT USES PEOPLE FOR THIER OWN BENIFIT AND TO H%&* WITH THE ASSOCIATES AND THIER FAMILY. That is all you are and the world will know how you are.
