I have been a long time customer of JC Penny's. However, I choose to no longer support a company promoting the Gay agenda. I am a Christian who believes and reads the bible daily. As Christians we are called to love everyone but that does not mean we are to condone immoral behavior and support those who have chosen to live that way. I know it is politically correct to just go along with whatever feels good and many Christians love to quote that we should not judge anyone so they can justify not standing up for what is right. Everyone in this country has the opportunity to read God's word but many chose not to because they do not want be convicted. God made marriage between a man and women, not women and women or man and man. I pray for this country every day and that we will get back to values on which this great country was founded. The great thing about this country is we are free to decide what we choose to endorse. I choose not to endorse JC Penny anymore.

I am extremely disappointed in the attack upon traditional family vaules by JCPenny. I overlooked your hiring Ellen to be your spokesperson, but now you have an ad featuring a gay couple with their children. This is not the lifestlye that I approve of nor do I want my children to be presented as normal. If you do not abandon this attack upon traditional family values, I will instruct my church members to refrain from shopping at JC Penny and I will present a motion at the Southern Baptist Convention to boycott JC Penny stores. The Southern Baptist Convention has 14 million members. When I pay off my jcpenny card, I will cancel it.

My edited for privacy, open letter to JC Penneys: Dear Sirs, When JCP went a new direction with their company I was intrigued. After all, I have been a loyal customer for 40 years. Your new marketing plan was innovative, I was very willing to take the time to acclimate to your new pricing program before passing an opinion of how well I liked the changes. When AFA called for letters at the hiring of Ellen DeGeneres, I did not get on board. After all, if she did her job of helping market your products I would not complain about her personal liberties. Especially since we were talking about merchandise, not lifestyle choices. However. My last 2 catalogs had far less to do with merchandise and more to do with the open pride of sexual choices. For myself you have crossed a line from business into political correctness. Two catalogs have now come out with a his and his family and a hers and hers family. Items displayed for sale were incidental to that. You were marketing alternative lifestyles instead. It is apparent to me that you are now marketing to a certain clientele. I am not interested in the personal life of any of your employees and my sensibilities are offended at your brazen parting from sales into lifestyle choices. I've come to the unhappy conclusion that I no longer want anything to do with JCP or their products. Since YOU have made your company a political and moral statement, I choose to spend my dollars elsewhere. Please remove me from your marketing list. Unhappily, Sherry

I cannot believe that I am writing this email. I will not be shopping at Penny's anymore. With the children of America so disturbed, so misguided, and so abused, I cannot believe that a family company like Penny's would push the Homosexual life style. The authorities of American have proven over and over that children turn out more stable with two parents, that is the best of the best for them. We know there is always sad situations for children when grown ups do not act properly. But, again two is better than one. We are big Penny people, my Mom retired from Penny's. We hardly shop anywhere else. I know I will not be missed, because America has been bullied like the corporations and you and the American people have no spine to stand up for the children. There are only about fifty people that are in my family that will not be shopping at Penny's, I hope America will wake up. Thank you for reading this, I hope you think about this email. Sincerely, go

Mr. Penney would never reconize the store he founded. I, as well as my family will no longer shop at JC Penney with them trying to present a perverted lifestyle as being normal. Truely this is a sad day for family values.

As many others I have been a loyal patron of JCP for 40+ years and concur with most of the disappointed individual’s comment which I have read. JCP no longer cares about "QUALITY"; "SERVICE"; "SATISFACTION" or from the looks of it ~Much Else~... It is unfortunate and a very sad day to see what has long been a well respected apparel institution slowly but surely fizzle out... Loyalty and Longevity in times past meant something to the Company, I have no doubt that the new Generation will not sit still for this mess and they will not dare to stay still as long as I did with the lack luster JCP relative to Quality & Customer Service... The kids today will go to the next store and JCP will surely fall of its own weight in light of the abhorrent changes and customer service... Without a doubt the employees are disgusted with JCP as the customers; which, I submit is an inevitable disaster waiting to happen. What a shame... Guess another tried/true company succumbed to ignorance... END OF AN ERA!!! HAD TO LET 'DILLARDS' & 'SPIEGEL' GO AFTER MANY YEARS FOR THE SAME REASONS... It's important that businesses realize that after a standard has been set... *IT MUST BE UPHELD* Guess I will give Belks a shot :-(

I have been a buyer of Penneys goods for over 40 years. I am returning my credit card and all catalogs and anything with JCPenney logo. I am appalled with your Fathers Day ad and all the disfunctional family you are protraying including Ellen Degeneres. I am so sorry to see such a Great American Company to become so degraded. Sorry in Michigan

I have already been to JCP twice in the last month after years of not going, mostly due to other stores being closer. But now I am THRILLED to go a few miles out of my way for my essentials for one reason: I love shopping in a store where I'm less likely to run into jerky customers. Let these bigoted cave men and women who wish it was 1952 again have Wal-Mart, I'll hang with the cool people at JCP. Besides, none of the "One Million" Moms [40,000, actually] will want to see the business end of my shopping cart, anyway.

I am very disapointed in your ads of Gay and Lesbian couples. Only about 3% of people are Homosexual. About 75% of people are Christians, so do the math, and lets see how long you stay in business

Congratulations for the sound judgment in holding your own with the criticism over gay ads! Bravo. We believe that the majority of straight people out here are behind you! Compassion and awareness must have lost their way in some groups; yet another reminder to think from the Spirit instead of from fear. You did a great thing!

HUSBAND AND WIFE WILL NOT SHOP AT JC PENNY'S IN FUTURE.WE DO NOT SUPPORT THE PROMOTION OF THE GAY SPOKESPERSON OR ALL THE GAY ADDS YOU ARE RUNNING WE SUPPORT CHRISTIAN VALUES.

I've also done business with you for at least 50 years.. I am totally in shock about what you have done. How can you possibly be Christian's if you don't go by God's Word.. There are still alot of good Department Store's that I like.. As of today,I will never set foot in your stores again.. May God Bless and Help you,

Wow, James Cash Penny your founder was a born again Christian and when I was growing up in the 50's the local moms often spoke about how they wanted to support JC Penny stores because of Mr. Penny's faith. After 40 years of shopping at JC Penny's you have lost my business forever. Your founder wouldn't even shop in your stores today as you support the secularization of our society and the irrelevance of biblical based faith. Soon, JC Penny will be irrelevant to millions of believers.

I am deeply disappointed by J C Penny's decision to feature two married homosexuals in its June catalog. It seems you have chosen sides in a deeply divisive issue for Americans with no consideration for how this would make the over 50% of Americans feel who oppose gay marriage for faith and/or family reasons. You target this magazine to families, but inexplicably include subject matter that a majority of families find offensive and that most fathers try to protect their children from. Either you operate in a bubble or you simply don't care. What would embolden you to make such a decision is beyond me, but your feelings on this issue have been clearly made known and heard. Being that your values now appear to be directly opposed to my own, you have given me no choice but to cease shopping at your store. This is sad because I have done a majority of my clothing shopping at JCP in the past. But I will not fund a company who disrespects the sensibilities of a majority of its shoppers by promoting behavior that is dangerous and destructive. Especially when it uses children in its promotion.

Hate the new "branding!" Going into JCP now is almost as bad as going to Walmart! Cheap clothes, racks so full you can't even tell what's on them! I have always loved JCP, but not anymore. There is no incentive to go there anymore. And the price signs...$8 AND UP! Really?? And it doesn't seem like the employees are happy there anymore either.

So sad to see Jcpenney take a stand against what the Bible teaches. I WAS a big JCPenney shopper but will no longer be. I am not judging, but taking such a huge stand on such a controversial issue that I disagree with no longer allows me to support JCPenney.

My family has said goodbye to JC Penney, a lifelong friend. We no longer share the same values nor do we support the same morals. Your "gay dads" ad for fathers day pushed me to th point of no return, and I won't. Admit your mistake, go back to what is right or your company will fail. You are wrong in so many ways. Your leadership has led you down the wrong path. You should be ashamed. Besides all that, most gays have better taste than to shop your stores anyway.

Phooey....my favorite store is now promoting the homosexual lifestyle. Bye-Bye JC Penneys. I'm sure one of the other retailers will be happy to have my money. I know your founder, Mr. Penney, is turning in his grave.

I have shopped at JCP for many years. However, your changes of forcing a gay agenda on your customers through your advertising has caused me to shop some where else. I have also shredded my credit card with you. This type of advertising is going to hurt your customer base and your Bottom Line.

I cant believe you are showing ads of gay men together. Well, you just lost my business along with many others. How sick are you to do this. Goodbye and good riddins JC
