Employee Dishonesty ?

I was in the Lynnhaven Mall store 02/19/13 between 1pm to 3pm . I observed cashiers on the downstairs, women's registers whispering with "certain" customers only, and the body language told all. When I approached, I did not get that "Special Treatment" (nor do I want it) . . .WAKE UP Executives! your investers and store are being robbed blind.

Help!

I bought a beautiful piece of luggage made by samsonite specifically for JC Penney. I have been trying for days to locate 21' and 25' spinner in burgundy . Controll is the the name it is under. I have ask for an extented search no one seems to be able to help just keep getting transferred from one person dead numbers etc. This no way to run a company!

Terrible

I worked at JCP for a couple of years in 2000. I loved the lines of clothing. A week ago, I walked into the store down the road from me. What a disapointment! The fabulous store which was built in 2008 has gone to pot. The CEO needs to look at why he has no customers and go back to the way it was in 2000. I'm glad the competitor Kohl's is next door! I can shop there from now on.

Does anyone in corporate office of JCpenny read these reviews??? As I read the reviews I found they are the same in what I feel. Your in the news JCPenny and we as customers are seeing exactly what the news is stating. You are going in a direction that will cause you to lose your loyal customers, your choice and our choice to shop elsewere. In the end it could cause the end of JCPenny. Please listen to us as we do have choices and will take our business else were.....

Discussing bathrooms and service

Jc penny's store on the corner of 146 and i45 the bathrooms are trashed and when I checked out the cashier was rude. She asked 3 times if I had any thing in the baby stroller looked in my bag I had and looked over the close I had like I had tried to sneer something out

Stafford Brand of Underwear

For many years, since the 1950s, I've been wearing your Towncraft brand of underwear. This underwear would last at least 10 years without tearing or falling apart. The only reason I'd have to "retire" them was because they would become threadbare. On the other hand, the Stafford Brand has proven to be of very poor quality, especially the briefs. The material is weak and tears away from the waist band. I'm lucky if I can get 8-12 months of wear out of them. I've had the same issue, but with much less frequency, with the v-neck undershirts. For these reasons, I will no longer purchase the Stafford brand of underwear. Is this because of poor quality control in your overseas manufacturing locations? PLEASE resume making these products back in the USA.

JCP Lost Direction

I've been shopping at JCP for years until the changes. I can't find my familiar products anymore. Items are often out of stock and it appears you don't plan on restocking, while other products have been discontinued. JCP was a solid company with coupons and sales, stocked products and familiar brands that sustained the company when other stores failed. Why turn away your core customers, who have the discretionary income to spend on all of the products in the store!

The Optical Department or Lack Of

I finally made my way to Wheaton Westfield Mall in Wheaton, Md 20902 a week and a half ago. I selected three styles of frames and the young lady, who was very nice didn't know how to put the order in. She suggested that I come back when a more experienced person was in. I said fine. I'm back today and no one is working. I'm very disappointed because I really liked the last pair I purchased from JCP. This is a specialized area. Don't come hear unless you call first.

I used to love going to any JC Penney store with my wife, or when I was younger with my Mother. I am 60 years old and I know longer recognize the JC Penney store that I liked to shop at. However, since Ron Johnson has been given the helm of this wonderful store I can only see a downward spiral that appears that my formerlly favorite retailer is trying to compete with Big and Small Lots! You take out the sales that your store was famous for, you change the floor plan of the store, and now it is proposed to get rid of some of the brands your store is famous for? St. Johns Bay gone? I remember when Montgomery Wards and Sears were your biggest competitors and JC Penney's always meant quality first and an excellent shopping experience. It would seem to me that your biggest problems came with Ron Johnson and from a retired business mans' view it would make more sense to terminate Mr. Johnson's employment with your company. That is, if you want a continual future.

Coupons

It doesn't seem right to not have coupons anymore. You should really go back to providing customers with the weekly coupons, maybe then you won't have to shut stores down. And if you do, hopefully its at the JCPenney in Fredericksburg,VA. Not only is the manager there a worthless piece, but all the employees there seem depressed! They all talk about hating it there and wanting a new job! How sad!

Stolen ring

I went to pick up my grandson's girlfriends ring I bought for them at Christmas time.. I stood over an hour and a half waiting for them to find it.. No ring! They told me theyy would call me and make it right.. I went to the car and thought I need that womens name. I walked in and she stood there with reciepts in her hand saying, they pick it up! I said no they didn't, she says, I have a signiture for it here.. I look at it and clear it was not a match, although close, not a match at all.. I'm leaving for vacation in the morning and still has not heard a thing about the ring.. Action will be taken if they don't work quickly on this matter..

To Whom it may concern in acccounts, I have been a faithful customer for 20+ years. I will continue to shop there. However, I have been trying to speak to a real person for the pass 3 months after they mailed me a letter stating that I had a refund due. No one will ansrew my call. I feel I have been forced to write a comment to get an repsonds. The ablity to communicate is very bad, poor to say the less. I just want my refund. Thank you, Carmen Simmons

Sorry to hear and not surprised

I read the article on Yahoo.com today that JC Penney will be closing stores because sales are down. I practically furnished my house from the catalog in 2000. The sheets I bought, the most I'd ever spent -- $100 -- ravelled at the edges and lost their seams within 3 months. In about 2005, the underwear that I had been buying since the early 1980s ravelled after the first month. I stopped shopping at JC Penney.

My JC Penny store Media Pa was empty at Christmas. Big Christmas Pro game buttons. I "won" $10 on Dec 5th holiday certificate was to be emailed . Never received so I sent e-mail. Was told it was sent but they would resend asking me to add JC Penney to my contacts to make sure I received the certificate. DUH I received this e-mail. Followed instructions and sent confirmed JC Penny added to contacts. On Dec 27 I was told it would take 24-48 hr hours. Never received, sent another e-mail on the 29th, & 31st . Responses said they would look into and advise. On Jan 4th sent another request was told contest ended 12-31. What a joke. I'm done with JC Penny.

Customer

Was a faithful customer of the Stonebriar Mall store in Frisco, TX. New changes are really horrible. Have found that Macy's and Dillards regular prices are lower than JCP everyday price. Very disappointed.

Bad at it all!

What they have done with jcpenney is a huge mistake! Nothing is convenient the way it use to be. Employees are more busier changing things then paying attn to customers. It's just crazy. I hope your happy Ron Johnson. I see your plan isn't working.

Greenwood MS

It's sad to say that I once was a proud JCP shopper. I have lived here in Greenwood MS area all my 47 years. We only have one main department store and that is JCP. I can remember when my mother took me shopping downtown Greenwood, MS. I suggest to the Marketing department to build a new modernized JCP with upscale fashion. I feel the fashion design is way out of our league here in greenwood. Everyone around here go to out of town JCP stores such as Flowood, MS and South Haven MS to find nice fashion. The Greenwood, MS store and the Greenville Ms stores are horrible. If no interest in stores change then you wells to close the doors. Please see about putting in a new store. I think this would boom this area. Thank you

The Changes

I am a retired JCP employee and I was always proud of JCP. I think they made a BIG mistake by getting rid of so many of the brands that people counted on getting there. I liked the idea of lower pricing all the time but it doesn't seem to be working and the Docker pants that my husband always got are more expensive now that before.Most disturbing is the stoe within a store. If I am looking for pants I didn't want to have to look in several areas to compare. People are busier that ever and stores want to have you run all around. Lets make it more convenient and helpful to the customer. It would be so nice to be proud again and not have to defend JCP.
