Ron Johnson is a delusional man. He has said "Failure is not an option" in relation to his disastrous changes at JCP. Well, Mr. Johnson, it's not an option; it's a reality now! I've just closed my JCPenney credit card account, and I can predict that if he isn't tossed out as CEO, the next headline wil be Penney is Chapter 11!

Management

I work at the JCP. We are no longer allowed to hold clearance items, regardless of who they are for. Employees that get caught holding clearance will get writen up, too bad that doesn't apply to management. The assistance Mgr called in to her office to go over my review. I saw several items on a bench all with tags, I asked if I could take the mens stuff back to mens, I was told no these items are being marked down on Sunday (which was 4 days away) and I'm going to hold them until then. Meanwhile a co-worker of mine held some christmas items she was going to purchase at the end of her shift and got writen up but management can hold clearance items for days???? SERIOUSLY!

Dinnerwer made in USA

Yesterday I was at the JCP store in Johnsburg, IL looking at the new dinnerwear. I was so happy to see the Fiesta in several different colors and made in USA. I didn't purchase any yesterday but I will in the near future. Made in the USA has been an important part of my shopping of all items. Thank you for Made in the USA

The sales associate would not give my daughter credit for clothes I bought her, would not overide computer, as is done, so she could shop, just put everything back on cards. after a call to manager, after she left the store, she said the associate was not trained. They have gone WAY down hill!!!

Keep the transition going!

Currently traveling in Arizona and today we visited 5 of your stores. While still a work in progress, you can begin to appeciate the changes that are taking place. I understand Joe Fresh rolls out on the 15th and the Home Dept is about to get a big makeover. We also spoke to a number of your employees today and at most locations sensed some real enthusiasum for the changes. Hope you stick to this plan. You'll introduce a whole new generation of customers to your stores, and of course they are your future. I'm 59, and I know most people my age do not like the changes. The heck with them. Stick with your plan and you will ultimately succeed.

carts

I used to shop at J.C Penneys many times a year. As an older person I can no longer shop with out using a cart. I am unable to carry the baskets around while shopping. Sorry, no more J.C. Pennys shopping for me.

Horrible customer service

I bought a bed from JCP on Feb. 25. 2013. Your salesperson took my money with ease. One the transaction was completed I was given a receipt and that's all. No details about the delivery at all. When I inquired I was told someone will contact you! Again, no further details. I called for info about delivery several times. Finally, March 5 I received a call saying your delivery is Friday March 8, between 10-2pm. The company did not even ask if this was feasible. Now it's March 8 and my bed was nevered delivered and I did not receive a call stating the delivery was not coming. I realized Ct got snow but since I did not get a delivery cancellation call I assumed it would still come. I did not learn of the delivery cancellation until I called to check on it. Also, the delivery company was very rude and unhelpful

No data security

The security of the data that you store in your jcpenney.com account is not safe. I just had someone who had obvioulsy hacked in and copied all of my account info to creat a new account, try to order a $595 watch. Luckily the crooks were too stupid to bother to change the e-mail address so I received an order confirmation in my e-mail in time to cancel my credit card and have them cancel the order. I also have the crooks address and was able to pull up the 3 aliases of the person who lives there, so police and FBI are now involved.

Credit Card

I've made the decision to cut up my J.C Penneys card today. After the service I had yesterday in MS I decided to end my relationship with J.C. Penneys. We live in a customer service industrial and J.C. Penneys provides no Customer Service. I was trying on dresses and some of them I wasn’t able to zipper all the way up and needed assistance, I had to poke my head out of the fitting room to find an employee, when I asked her again to zip me up she told me next time I go shopping I need to take my husband with me. They are really busy and don’t have the time to be zipping and unzipping customers all day long. Never in all my life has anybody ever spoken to me like that. I took the dress off and the 6 dresses I was going to purchase and gave them to the sales clerk and told them to keep them, I will be taking my business to another store. Years ago I was able to find somebody to take 4 seconds to zip up a dress, today things are much different. It is impossible to zipper up all dresses by yourself, when they are tight and form fitting it is a pain to do and a real work out. If J.C. Penneys doesn’t want to provide any CUSTOMER SERVICE that’s fine with me but don’t expect me to continue shopping there.

Long time shopper

I am so disappointed with the changes in personel. Change CEO! All these changes make me uncomfortable to want to shop here not knowing what to expect. Since the take over of this new CEO I have seen numerous changes

Store

I used to shop your store all the time for all my family's clothes and household items. Not any more though. Ever since the new CEO came on board the store went to hell really fast. The clothes are cheap and look cheap. Please fire the CEO before it is too late.

finding conscience

I just read in today's news that JCP and Sears have decided to pull their advertising for Saturday Night Live due to the skit SNL recently aired in which they mocked Jesus. Thank you JCP and Sears for have the moral conscience and courage to stand up and represent a higher standard. You speak volumes in your actions. Thank you!

Djesus uncrossed now that's funny. What people don't seem to understand is jcpenny and sears get more ad time by pulling thier ads. The media takes care of it for you and for free very nice job just please pass those savingds on to the consumers .djesus uncrossed lol.

Just want to thank you for pulling your advertising from the SNL show. I appreciate seeing a retailer take a stand against the hypocrytical mocking of Christians of all denominations. Here is one new customer!!

JCP Is Going To Be A Huge Success!!

Change is good...I feel good about the direction the store is going in. Love the look of the store and I know the company & staff will improve 100% with their image, dress code, personal service, customer service and sales. Banana Republic and many other companies went though the same growing problems. The customer base is there and I believe the new JCP will be a huge success...Mr. Johnson is the right person for the job!

Cont'd..I would hate to see jcp close, it's a link to quality and middle America.. MOVE all sephoras inside penny's stores!! That will drive them in to jcp for sure!!! No matter the economy women flock to cosmetics and ESP sephora!!!

I disagree as well, I have been shopping more because of the new look I love it-seems cleaner and more organized..I love the new prices and love that I don' have to be worried about finding coupons. I love the clothes as well

Not the JCP I know

JCP is wondering why sales are down? Who was responsible for the new store design? What are the buyers thinking in selecting some of the brands JCP now carries? The merchandise displays are just awful. When you walk into a JCP, you feel like it's a going out of business sale. Too much empty space, not enough merchandise. The quality of the clothing has gone down dramatically. I have shopped at Penney's for more than 40 years but find that I rarely have JCP on my shopping list anymore. Ron Johnson - you and your executive staff have made some very poor decisions.
