We stayed at a Holiday Inn in Kansas City, MO. Well actually 2 Holidays Inns within a 3 night stay. Upon checking in to the 1st one, we were told the pool would be closed on Sunday for cleaning, When arriving back to the hotel, the entire hotel smelled of Epoxy! They were not cleaning they were resurfacing the pool deck inside with no ventilation! The pool is in the middle of the hotel. The room smelled horrible and was causing nausea and light headness to us within minutes. We had to switch hotels, They wanted us to pay the difference in price, after a discusion they gave us the difference and we drove 20 minutes out of our way to another hotel at 10 at night. On top of that there was mold in the bathroom on the shower wall and poor house cleaning. To add to our already stressful weekend of visiting sick family, they put a hold on our credit card for a 3 night stay at one holiday Inn as well as 15 in case we charged something to the room, a one night stay at the other Holiday Inn and a 20 dollar hold there in case we charge something. So we were charged 4 nights and 35 extra. Talk about being robbed! Only good point is that Handicapped parking was in the right spot in front of the hotel.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Aladdin in Kansas City, MO on 08/26/11 - 08/28/11. The front desk staff and valet staff are very good. The restaurant was the worst I have ever been to. We waited for over an hour and still didn't get our order. The wait staff were completely incompetent. When we asked what was taking so long, we were told their printer was down! When one person at our table of 9 was finally served, her food was burned. We where with a number of people who were all there for a wedding. Not one person had a good experience in the restaurant. When I spoke to the hotel manager regarding this, he simply said he was sorry and didn't offer to compensate us in any way! There are also hidden valet charges of $15/day. This is ridiculous in a downtown hotel. There is no parking, this should be included. This hotel charges 4 star rates and is a 1 star hotel at best. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Dear Corporate, You should be ashamed of how your hotel in OC MD on 6700 Costal Avenue ran your business. My dad used to take me and my sisters when we were younger every year and when me and my sisters started having kid, we figured we would carry on the tradition and give our kids the wonderful memories that we made. However, we all were highly disappointed of the way we were treated by the staff. They were uncaring and the rooms were DISGUSTING!!! When I brought this to the managers attention, she acted as if it was no big deal and said, "well we are all sold out, so just stay there tonight and we will move you tomorrow." Well, I had no choice bc they had no other rooms, but when they moved us the next day, the next room was just as DISGUSTING!!! I cannot tell you how disappointed I am about the HOLIDAY INN!!! You lost valuable customers, me, my family & my military family. We will not be staying there EVER again. Captain Kim Liszka US ARMY

My son is taking his first trip a crossed the country. He is in the Air Force, just recently returned home from Turkey. He had a short visit with family in North Carolina and now he is driving to Ft. Lewis, WA alone. My son called me earlier this evening and stated that he will be staying the night at the Holiday Inn Express located in Goodland, KS. Being concerned over my only son, I called the Holiday Inn in Goodland, KS several times to check on his safety. Several times I called this number (1-785-890-9060) and not once did any one answered the call. This is the same number that is listed on their web page and not a single employee on the evening shift is answering the phone! My God! Whatever happened to customer satisfaction? My last called to that number was at 1030 pm PST, tonight. Once again no one answered. The last time I spoke to my son was at 7:00 pm PST, and he was safe in his room. I sure hope he stays that way. Because he still has a long trip ahead of him, I'll hope for the best and give him a call the first thing tomorrow morning. The Holiday Inn of the past was very well managed. As you can tell by this report, the Holiday Inn in Goodland, KS is in need of second shift employee's that would at least answer the PHONE! 26 Aug 2011

We stayed at Holiday Inn in downtown Niagara Falls,New York, Aug 20th-23rd. We were very disappointed with this hotel. First, when checking in,I was made to feel like I was bothering them, not helpful or friendly. Second, the cleaning crew were slamming doors ALL morning and most of the afternoon. Third, the second night, there were 2 fire alarms that went off. Of course we went downstairs and out the doors along with other guest. We stood there waiting for instructions because at that time we didn't know it was a false alarm. No one was in control, the manager would come out and talk to just a few people. Most of us just stood there wondering what was going on. No one came out to tell us that it was okay to go back in. We decided to go back in and see what was going on. The small lobby was packed with people but still no word from the manager. We noticed the elavators were working again and decided to go back to the room. 30 to 40 minutes it happened again. We went through the same routine. This was so miss managed from the staff..I could not believe it. When leaving the building, we had to take the stairs to the lower level. We had to walk over a thick layer of bugs by the exit door. I have never seen such a dirty, nasty, hallway in any other Holiday Inn. We as guest and the other guest were not even offered free coffee or an explanation as to what had happened. Oh, by the way this was 1:00 a.m., so you know everyone was tired the next morning. NOT EVEN A FREE COFFEE???? Really Holiday Inn staff???? The room was just okay, bed was very comfortable but could not find any outlets. There was one that did not have a cover and the lamp was plugged in it. So we had one plug for lap tops, phone charges, the iron, and the coffee pot. Okay, I'm warning everyone planning to stay there....DON'T. I don't even want to give it 1 star

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Cumberland, MD. It will be the last time I visit this particular Holiday Inn that's for sure. Arriving Friday afternoon, they had mistakingly booked 2 rooms for us. I produced our copy of reservations to show them we only booked 1 room. After getting that mess cleared up, it only got worse. Our room was not made up on Saturday, no clean towels or washcloths, waste cans overflowing. We couldn't get any bottled water as the machines were empty of water the whole weekend. I called the front desk at 8:45 Sunday morning requesting at least clean washcloths which we never recieved. Went down to the restraunt for breakfast buffet (which by the way we had to pay $10.00 apiece for) and everything on the buffet was STONE cold. All in all, unpleasant experience! Thought our priorty club membership was supposed to provide you with good service - NOT!

I stayed at your Holiday Inn Express off of I-35 in Guthrie OKLAHOMA. We chose your hotel because I beleived it would be one of the nicest in that location, and the fact that it had an indoor pool. Well, it does have an indoor pool, with green stinky water that smells like a toilet. The hot tub doesnt work, and the floors in the guest rooms have a sticky feeling like they were shampooed and never rinsed. The sheets on the beds felt almost damp too, like they werent quite dried all the way. The TV's worked, but the picture quality on all channels was fuzzy. The breakfast bar biscuits AND the cinnimon rolls were doughy in the middle. I dont think I will ever stay at any other Holiday Inn, because I could get that kind of hotel for $30 a nite easily. not the $109 I paid. In contrast, I stayed at the Quality In in Childress Texas earlier in the week, they were cheaper, and top notch. I travel frequently and NEVER have stayed in such a disappointing Hotel before. I am thinking of selling all my stock in your company, as I dont see how you can possibly ever get return customers with hotels in this sort of shape.

On Saturday the 20 of August 2011 we made reservations to stay the night at the Pacifica, California location. This was to be our honeymoon night away. When we arrived at the hotel we asked to see the upgraded room in which we were considering upgrading too. When we walked into the room that was originally reserved for us it smelled very largly of cigarette smoke. We went down to the front desk and explained to Maria the lady at the front desk that the room smelled of smoke and was there a different option and would she please go up and smell the room. She came down and informed us the room did not indeed smell of smoke. We were a bit shocked and then she had a maid who spoke little to no English say no smoke. She then said she was going to walk back and see what she could do for us. We waited in the lobby and all of a sudden she comes out and informs us that she had cancelled our reseravation and was not allowing us to stay in the establishement. We looked at her and stated that we had not asked her to cancel our reservation. She said oh well and then laughed at us. At this point I was appalled by the treatment and behavior of this woman. At that point another guest came down and informed her that her room smelled bad. My husband asked if her roomed smelled of smoke. She said yes and that it was very bad. The lady had her clothes in her hand and said that the smell was so bad she could not keep her clothes in her room and did not have time to change to another room because she was on her way to a wedding. Maria in front of us gave the woman a discount on her room all the while continuing to say she could do nothing for us and still refused us service. We asked for the number of the general manager in which she handed us a card I called the number on the card from my cell phone and it rang to the front desk. So we asked for the holiday inn corporate number. We were connected to Jessie in customer relations. Jessie called Maria and tried to reason with her. Maria refused us service still after the call, Jessie said there was nothing Holiday Inn could do for us beyond try to find us another hotel but at full cost and at a location that was not on the beach. Basically she was offering to do for us what we ourselves were capable of. So we asked to speak to a person above her. We were then transferred to Kent. At this point I was in tears and only 40 minutes from a scheduled appointment for a couples massage with my husband. We were 3 hours from home and no place to stay. Kent was unwilling to help us and not at all concerned with the fact that we were wrongly turned away for no apparant reason. Frustrated my husband ended the conversation and we then called our triple A membership number to find that it was too late and after their hours. We then tried one last time to call back the corporate number for holiday Inn Express and were directed to yet another customer service agent. This agent was even worse and much more rude then the first two we spoke to. He refused once again to do anything for us. We hung up and were left with no place to stay on our honeymoon night away. My husband has used the Holiday Inn on several of his travels from home for work. Since this experience we had reviewed other customer comments within the BBB and other locations on the internet and have to our surprise found other dissatisfied customers who have had similar experiences to ours. We were informed by Maria that holiday inn charges $500 for smoking in rooms. We feel that this is a ploy to charge innocent people added unecessary charges during their stay. We feel that we might have been one of those unfortunate customers and Maria refused us service knowing that she would not be able to add the smoking charge to our room. It is very sad to think that such a large chain of hotels would be agreeable to this kind of treatment of their customers. Our economy is very weak in todays time and I would think that large hotel chains would want to treat their customers with kindness and respect as to continue to keep repeat returns. Unless this matter is resolved in an acceptable and agreeable manner, we will have no other choice then to turn Holiday Inn to the better business bureau with complaints. We will post about our horrendous experience and treatment from the Holiday Inn corporation and the establishment in Pacifica, California on yelp, we will be contacting the local chamber of commerce, and we will be writing articles and reviews in local newspapers and to the local news team coverage. My husband will also no longer use the Holiday Inn chain of hotels when he travels for work and we will no longer ever use the Holiday Inn chain for our stays away from home. I am hoping you will find a way to rectify this situation. You not only caused my husband and I undue stress but also ruined our honeymoon night away

I was at your Surfside Beach SC hotel for 5 days 8/13-8/18/11. I am sorry to say I waisted my money as well as American Express points. In the five days we were there Your house keeping was appauling. Sheets were not changed, trash was not taken out and as 4:30pm one day the room was not cleaned. The a/c did not work well, the rooms keys failed, the safe failed. My wife got locked out on the terrace for and hour because the sliding door bar was broken. Your wyfi did not work. Our cell phones did not work,so we had to use your room phone, and this did not work because the front desk lost my American Express card #. Needless to say I could go on and on. I am certain that you will read this but will do nothing about.

To whom it may concern, growing up the Holiday Inn, was a very used terms for a hotel. However, nowadays like many other things in life it has lost its "good name" to just being poor. I was down at the Holiday Inn Express in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, for 5 days in Beg Aug. I have to say, after finding a few little bugs in both beds, and MOLD allover the bathroom, I was disgusted. After getting no help, or satisfaction, just a cleaning with some clorox on the wall. We tried to speak to upper management, which was always out. I wanted a new room, which was told none available. The lobby, was always dirty, with mud allover tile floor, the hallways never looked to be vacumed. It is only aprox a seven year old hotel. The help, was rude, and deffinitely treated us like "out of towners", but I would think they would be nice being that us "out of towners" are alot of their bread and butter. Certainly, Holiday Inn isnt the same as when we vacationed when I was young, and certainly isnt like the ones up by me in the tri-state area. By the way the drain in the tub clogs up, the hairdryer didnt work, the tv only gets three channels. The complimemtary breakfast was only there two days out of five. The stay at the end was "Terrible", and your manager who helped me on check-out told me to back away "Lady" so she could do the bill. I only recieved satisfaction for myself because I hired a local contractor, to come in and take samples of the mold down to her. I was sick physically, and mentally trying to fight for justice. I guess Holiday Inns are a cut below where they used to be. You just lost customers, which I dont think in this economy you can really afford. _Perhaps it is because you are the only hotel in Sneads Ferry, or Topsail Island, I would rather rent a house, or camp, before I stayed in a place like that again.

On Saturday, August 13, 2011, I, together with my family, attended a gala at the Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay at 1355 North Harbor Dr, San Diego, Ca to celebrate a high school reunion among graduates from the same town. The event was well attended with almost 400 attendees from all over the U.S., Canada, England and the Philippines. As part of the organizing committee, we were given 2 complimentary rooms for our convenience, since we needed a place to change attires for our surprise performances. Around midnight, as the party was winding down and since no one was going to use the rooms for the night anyway, my brother-in-law, Antonio Ebreo, who was also the chairman of the organizing committee, decided to check out already not realizing that I have left a piece of clothing in the cabinet inside the rest room. When we arrived at our destination at Chula Vista, we called the front desk immediately to tell them about my shirt which I left in the room, but instead of sending someone to the room right away to have it checked out, they told us that they will wait until the housekeeping dept would turn it over to the "lost and found" in the morning. The problem is that nobody turned it in! Did the maid take a liking on the item? I don't know! All I know is that I left my T-shirt in the cabinet inside the rest room in room #857. It is a brand new T-shirt (the 1st time I've worn it since I bought it in Toronto). It is a pink La Coste T-shirt, large in size (7) and I paid $87 for it, plus tx. We are now back in Canada and we have never received a response from your people if it was ever turned in to the "lost and found", or just simply a matter of "finder's keeper" attitude of your employees. I would, however, appreciate a response as to what happened to it, which is by far better than what I have received from your front desk personnel so far. my daughter booked hotel accomadation for us with Holiday Inn 115 Cypress Center Blvd Vicksburg, Ms the frist room was for 8/12/11 and 8/13/11 the second room was for 8/13/11. I arrived there around 3am where I presented both conformation and pin numbers to Micheal at the reservation desk. I was told by Micheal that I could check in but that I would need to check out at 11am on the 8/13/11 because the owner had closed the hotel for his family member's wedding. He acknowledged the fact that I had reservation for two nights for myself and one night for daughter but he went on to say that the hotel owner had blacked out those rooms for his daughters wedding. This meant that neither myself or my daughter would have a room for 8/13/11. I expressed my concerns and asked that the reservations be honored Micheal then stated he would help me locate another hotel. When asked if the accomadations were equal he replied no. The customer care line was contacted I spoke with Ronald who stated he would get a supervisor for me, one never came to the phone. Online booking stated that never recieved notice from the Holiday Inn in Vicksburg, Ms that rooms would not be arviable on that date. To add insult to injury the rooms were placed on my dauthers card and those funds remain on hold for 8/12/11 (I was told I could check in for this date but be out by 11am) and for 8/13/11 the nights for my self and my daughter (these are nights the owner blacked out, as stated by Micheal and online booking stated they were not informed. We have contacted customer care as of now these funds remain on hold for services not provided.

Well, I would like for someone (anyone) to read the post on trip advisor.com!! If there is anyone out there who actually gives a damn about their facility!! Holiday Inn in Johnson City is just a big f***** joke!! I swear, I wish I could get an accurate e-mail or # for Bob Ducharme who is supposively the V.P. of the company. I WOULD BE GLAD TO LET HIM KNOW ABOUT HIS FACILITY!! I am not dissing everyone there but the night audit lady is very overbearing & hateful!! I think if she could have got her big butt over that counter, she would have smashed us all after her hateful words!! This is a place that has lost a lot of business because of her (well all of our good paying groups anyway).A person deserves at least a little bit of respect when checking instead of a "I DON'T CARE IF U STAY HERE OF NOT" ATTITUDE!! Wouldn't you think?? We will never return after her hatefulness & after reading the TRIPADVISOR FORUM from a family in Florida, we really felt soory for that family. We were considering not staying after she told off the people in front of us!! But we just wanted to get settled in. Although, she checked them in & when we stepped up to ask if she had rooms available, she rolled her eyes & said "I GUESS" "but it's gonna cost ya"! My gosh, isn't the place making money without harassing people??? There are a lot of willing to work people out there who needs a job & would be GLAD to be nice to someone! Why does this company keep the ones who are just there to slide by, & be hateful to everyone? Just thought I'd ask...

My story is a bit different then most...On August 6th, 2011 at approximately 2am my Chevy Blazer broke down on I-71. My cousin and I were towed into Mansfield, OH. When we got into Mansfield we were dropped off in front of the Holiday Inn in Mansfield on Park Blvd..When we arrived there we were informed that there were no rooms available due to a car race event that was occuring that weekend, not only at the Holiday Inn, but pretty much the entire city. The Night Auditor, Mr Aaron Williams called the surrounding area hotels, found and secured for us the LAST available room in the city! He then proceeded to call and pay for our taxi ride to the hotel so that we, two females, didn't have to spend the night on the streets of city we were unfamiliar with. He allowed us to wait in the lobby until the taxi arrived and made sure we were safely in and on our way..In my opinion MR AARON WILLIAMS IS A TOTALLY AWESOME PERSON!!!! HE TOOK THE TIME TO HELP TWO LOST AND VERY UPSET LADIES..MADE SURE WE WERE SAFE AND SECURE AND IN THIS WORLD YOU DON'T OFTEN FIND THAT! IF THIS WORLD HAD MORE PEOPLE LIKE HIM IT WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER WORLD!SO I APPLAUD HIM AND GIVE HIM A DEFINITE ***** 5 STAR +++++ RATING!!!! Deborah McGee

DO NOT EVER ORDER ONLINE OVERNIGHT STAYS WITH THIS COMPANY. THE INFORMATION IS VERY CONFUSING AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW IS THAT HAVE ROOMS YOU CAN'T CANCEL AND THE RUDE PEOPLE WILL NOT REFUND. THEY HAVE LOST A PRIORITY MEMBER OF 9 YRS FOREVER. THERE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM ACCORDING TO THE GM IS TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE WITH MY CC COMPANY. DON'T EVER MAKE RESV AT CINCY HOLIDAY INN HOTELS THEY ARE THE WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE. IN SALES THEY TELL YOU THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT BUT NOT WITH THIS CORPORATION!!!!!!!!!

To whom it may concern: Without prior planning, on July 15-17, 2011 my husband and I decided to attend the Rib/Jazz Festival in Columbus OH. Considering staying the entire weekend, we reserved a room at the Holiday Inn (Towne St.) in downtown Columbus. Upon our arrival, we saw that there was a Columbus Ursine Brotherhood Convention at the hotel. Since we were not familiar with the Ursine organization and there was no notice given as to the organization's affiliation, we did not see any problem staying at the hotel. Neither my husband nor I are homo-phobic, but, after a very short time, it became, alarmingly, apparent what the Ursine organization was about. Fortunately, we did not have children with us because some of the activities of the organization's members were borderline pornographic. Apparently this is not the Family Hotel that is advertised. Public shows of affection and solicitations were commonplace. Because of some of these acts, we didn't dare use the pool or other hotel facilities. We lodged a complaint at the front desk and received a full refund and left the premises. My issue is with the Holiday Inn Administration. Knowing that non-Ursine members may be subjected to some questionable behavior, why wouldn't the Holiday Inn give notice that a convention of this sort was being held there? This would give the general public an opportunity to choose whether to stay at the Holiday Inn or not. I do hope this issue will be handled in a proper manner.

I STAYED AT THE HOLIDAY INN ALLENTOWN LEHIGH VALLEY 7735 ADRIENNE DRIVE BREINIGSVILLE PA 18031. THE ONLY REASON I AM GIVING 2 STARS INSTEAD OF 1 IS BECAUSE OF THE NICE RECEPTIONIST THAT CHECKED ME AND MY FAMILY IN. AS WE GOT SETTLED IN WE REALIZED THAT WE BEING AFRICAN AMERICAN WAS NOT WELCOMED IN THE HOTEL FROM THE STAFF AND GUEST, THE STAFF OFFERED NO HELP TO ME AND MY FAMILY AND THE GUEST WERE VERY DISREPECTFUL WERE MAKING INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS AND WHEN WE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE CONSTANT DOOR SLAMMING THAT WENT ON FROM 12AM TILL 3AM IN THE MORNING THE STAFF WERE NOT HELPFUL,THE STAFF DIDN'T EVEN ASK ME AND MY FAMILY IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING,HOW WAS OUR STAY BUT INSTEAD WALK RIGHT BY US AND GREETED THE OTHER GUEST. THIS EXPERIENCE TAUGHT ME THAT RACISM STILL EXIST BUT WHEN I AM SPENDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY I WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND WHEN A COMPANY LIKE THE HOLIDAY INN, I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED MUCH MORE COURTESY PROFESSIONALISM AND RESPECT. I WILL NEVER VISIT THE HOTEL OR THE CITY, TOWN OF BREINIGSVILLE AGAIN AND HOLIDAY INN WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS OR ANYONE I KNOW AGAIN. NO MATTER THE RACE CREED RELIGIOUS ORIGIN OF ANYONE EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED FAIRLY.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn in Williams AZ on Grand Canyon Blvd. The pool and hot tub was filthy. You can easily see "bath tub dirt" flouting on the water and caked on the edge of the hot tub. Lots of hair is in the pool and you can barely see your hand in front of you under the pool water; really gross.

We stayed at the kingston NY holiday inn for 1 night and it was terrible. my spouse who was on crutches and I slept in the most horrible boney bed . my spouse has back and leg issues and was up all night. furthermore when we addressed it with the desk clerk he "stated really that is new bedding" the stay was not holiday inn quality .

My son recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at 5575 No Atlantic Ave in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He presently is a student at the Univ. of Central Fl. The stay was for only 1 night. The next day after he returned to Orlando he found out that he was being accessed a $250.00 find for smoking in a non-smoking room. This never occurred!! The management took 2 pictures (on their cell Phone), one of the door with the rm # on it and the other of a cup of cigarettes butts next to 2 packs of marlboro lights (that they said was left in the room) and sent it to him. This was a total set up by the management. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!
