Recently on a bus tour in Colorado, we had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express, Alamosa, Co. The accomodations were very nice and clean, the employees were great, very friendly, the breakfast was wonderful (we were unable to partake of the evening food), the the welcoming cookies were delicious. We are glad our tour chose this Holiday Express for our trip. Keep up the good work.
Dp you have any idea why the Holiday Inn at Exit 7 on I81 in Bristol Va has been painted the most awful color of green they could find? It doesn't match the sign and has ruined the looks of a beautiful building. It reminds me of the old refrigarators and stoves in the 60's. I have to look out my window at work everyday at it and it is just plain ugly.
I stayed at the Manitowoc Holiday Inn 6 days. Checked in on a Wed and checked out on at Monday. I am a diabetic and travel alot, if a refrigerator is not available I use the ice bucket and just keep it full of ice to keep my insulin cool. I have doe this many, many times. I moved the ice bucket over to the opposite side of the counter next to my diabetic testing kit. On Saturday the 24th, the insulin was in it's box with the prescription info wrapped around it, in two clear plastic bags sitting on top of the ice, where it had been residing since Wed evening. We came back from our event early and decided to have a snack before our banquet, this was the only reason we found out the maid had removed the bag, insulin and ice from the container and I am assuming tossed it out. I immediately went down and reported it missing. After much hassle a visit to the emergency and a 650.00 bill to get it replaced I am informed that the hotel takes no responsibility and will only replace the cost of my insulin.
Please Help this note reach the right person; To whom it may concern: Two weeks ago I was contacted by Holiday Inn River Walk in San Antonio TX for an interview for a job. The interview took place on a Sunday at noon,(9/18/2011) present were myself, and three other applicants. We were interviewing for a House Keeping position. Irene the interviewer ask us of past experience, told us of the job duties. I was the one with the least experience, but I was very ethusiastic being out of work for 8 months, also she mention "you must like cleaning, and working very hard" I love cleaning, and being well organized, so I was up for the challenge. She also talk about our uniforms, took down our sizes, told us to purchase our safety shoes, also she would set us up for Orientation as soon as all drug testing, and paper work goes through, I was told to come in at noon the following day for paper work, and instructions of where to go for the drug test. I reported on Monday with Belinda of HR Dept, waited 1 hour for her to see me, she ask me for my Social Security card, my License, took the name of my previous employer and number, also my cell number in order to text me the address of the drug testing lab. That evening I was text the address, the following day Tuesday I went got drug tested, I also texted back to that number to Belinda from HR Dept to ask her if Orientation was going to be Wednesday, because Irene the interviewer told us we would start Thursday, if all is cleared. I did get a response from Belinda, a text, that they are waiting on more drug test results, they will contact me when to come in. One week later, I text them to let them know that I have not heard from them, my interview was Sunday September 18th 2011, they have my personal information, they stop me from my job search, I have not heard a word. Please help me get a simple response, I have excellent reference,I don't do drugs, and I have great work ethics, they lost an opportunity of having a honest to good person, that would have been a great asset to the Holiday Inn Company. Thank you, Myrna D. Velazquez
I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Grove City, PA, many times and have only positive things to say about this hotel. The room is spacious and very clean. Four women stayed in a room with two queen beds. The staff was very curteous when checking in and were very helpful during our stay. The continenal breakfast area across from the front desk was very well set up a excellent selection to chose from. I would recommend this Holiday Inn Express to everyone...
I recently quit my job at holiday inn express in Buda TX because i couldn't take anymore discrimination and humiliation. My biggest reason for quitting was for the fact that the manager's wife (Arti Patel) who is nobody would boss everyone around telling everyone what to do. I guess she thought she could do that since the manager (Raj Patel) is never there he's only there Saturday and Sunday. So if something goes wrong in the hotel we have to fix it ourselves or not fix at all. They don't over time, also they don't pay the housekeeping personnel by the hour but by rooms! I think its very unfair because those ladies work very hard and they don't get paid for what they do. There's s employees that have been working there for more than a year and have been promised a raise and never got one. When they do ask for a raise the manager always tells us that there's no money. There is no sick pay or vacations and on holidays they don't pay overtime, there's no benefits what so ever or any kind of insurance. They still owe me hours that they did not pay me and i'm not the only one they did that to. That whole hotel is a mess, that the housekeepers never have enough supplies to clean the rooms. I had a very i repeat very bad experience working there i loved doing what i was doing but i couldn't work with the manager's wife she constantly picked on me about every little thing I felt discriminated. I thought working at a holiday inn express would be a better experience for me but it was the total opposite next i'll think twice before working at a Holiday Inn Express That's independently owned. To the manager there is making the company's name look really bad.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Rancho Bernardo the weekend of the 17th of Sept. Room 165 I have been trying with no success to reach the General Manager of this hotel regarding issues I had on my stay. Upon check in to our room we had a multitude of problems over the course of the next day or so. Room not fully clean, used cups in bathroom only 1 towel Parking and door entry (I am assuming due to a renovation the hotel was having we had to park and walk very far or enter in a back way through debris and trash and leaves, If we went in middle entry 1st door did not work walked half way down hotel.) Tile on floor between bathroom and hall not finished son got a cut on toe due to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO HOT WATER 2 TIMES, and when I finally did get hot water it was because I had to let shower run up to 10 minutes. This is unacceptable to me for what is to be a 3 star hotel. I checked out early and stayed in the Mariott in Poway instead. I have left several messages with Danielle as well as the ngiht manager and have had one call back which I missed and have called back several times since. Very upset with this Melissa Youkhanna
My wife and I had dinner at the Hoiday Inn restaurant in Marietta Ohio. While the food was good and the sevice good. My complaint is more about the little things. Like when eating dinner, the beer guy brings the whole cart of beer right through the the middle of the eating area to the bar in the other room. We sat by the window because they had a waterfall feature as a focal point but after obseving it looks like after they insalled it no up keep has been done since, the bird feeder was broken down, probably never had food in it after the first week. The area was sadly in need of mulch and pea graval for the walkway. And then the cigarette butts all around the door by the walkway, I blame the smokers for that, very rude people some smokers are, just through it where ever. No one wants to see that period. Sometimes I think on a day to day basses working their you lose track of the little things that are important to customer satisfaction.
We eat every Thursday and Friday@Charlies Chophouse in the Holiday inn in Southgate. We bring friends,we eat prime rib, etc. We bring family,we have meetings, etc. We have been coming for over seven years.Last night our friends drive one way-hour and a half for prime rib,the "chef"John was so rude to the carver and the server it was embarrassing! Tonight we go for our usual fish dinner,"chef John"has changed the rules and their is no more baked fish like we have been getting for years, after a total inilation from him to the female server he agrees very reluntly to make baked fish. He then continues screaming to her that she had better not offer it to anyone else. We summon the manager, who "calms"him down and he says"Well if they want it raw,I can make it raw too!" This screaming is heard throughout the dining room several times.Thirty minutes later our fish comes out,it has atleast a half a jar of peeper on mine and must be a whole bottle of lemon. I took one bite and the burning didnt go away for an hour,we had to get up and leave. Is this how "Chef John" is treating very, very good paying customers? We will not,nor will our friends and family ever return until he is gone. People wonder why they cant make a living in this world?Look at your help. That may give you a clue why sales are down.

On 9-10-2011 I was scheduled to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Loves Park IL, with our entire soccer team. I realize errs are made but I called and confirmed my stay days before I arrived and had a confirmation #. However when I did arrive at approximately 730 that evening (tired, dinner in hand, ready to relax) the hotel had no room for me. They somehow booked me in to share a room with another family. Whatever would make someone think two families would share the same room, with a single bed and both save the full cost of this room on their separate credit cards is beyond me. As a result of their err my daughter could not stay with her team,(ok, things happen) but we waited over an hour for them to find us another hotel at a much higher cost (at my expense) 15 miles further away from the fields we had several games on. My advise when you call and confirm your room better confirm you are the only ones in it. Things like this cause a lot of frustration and added expense.
My husband and I were kicked out of the hotel at 3:30a because people in the next room was partying loudly and I went to front desk to complain about it. Here is the story: I cannot sleep till 2:45a because of the people next door. So I called front desk twice to ask them to do something. Nothing happened after 15 min so I went down to tell them I am very disappointed and want my money back or be moved to another room immediately. I was told they cannot do anythin because I am a groupon customer. I did raise my voice (because it is 3a and it is my first day vacation there so you can imagine how I feel) but did not do anything " dangerous" or "disturbing" as them may say. 15 minutes later, they called in the police and asked me to leave immediately because I am no longer a customer. They said they are going to call groupon to refund me and their manager will contact me the next day morning (which never happens). So they dumped a girl 3a on the street! This is a terrible experience and they don't even deserve to be in hotel business in my opinion. I recorded everything on my phone, will upload it if you need it. I will report this hotel to other authorities. I request the headquarter to place disciplinary action on this hotel. Thank you!
To whom it may concern, I stay alot at holiday inns across the states I prefer them by choice with one exception, I cannot stand smoking rooms or being shoved to the side for students so they don't have to be in one. I wish all holiday inn policies would be no smoking other than that for businesses thathave to put up with the millions of rude and noncaring public they are a great place to stay. thank you Scott Fowler Ammon, Idaho
My family and I stayed at the Toms River ,Nj Holiday Inn 290 Highway 37 over the labor day weekend. We booked online and paid online wanting a non-smoking room. When we arrived we were booked into a smoking room.My wife has severe allergies. Thus we requested a non-smoking room. The front desk clerk told us this was the only room avaiable and that they would put an ionizer in the room to get rid of the smell.Let me say we walked into the room for a few minutes and my wife started to have a reaction ,it smelled so bad,the carpet was stained, the baseboards were dirty and it was a dirty room.I told the front desk about this and the guy Mike told us it wasn't his problem that we got the wrong room and that the ionizer would do the trick. The pool looked like it needed to be cleaned.Talk about making your guest feel welcomed.Well Sarah helped us out by switching us to another room.Thank you,but no thanks we will not be returning there EVER!!!!Keep away from that place.
I am stating that this hotel sucks!!Toms River NJ 290 highway 37 Holiday Inn,stay away from that dirty, smelly place. They treat guest like crap! The rooms were smelly and the pool was dirty. They stink!!
We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Palatine, Illinois for a soccer tournament over Labor Day Weekend. We stayed two nights, on the second night, there was a wedding reception and when we returned that evening to the hotel, the parking lot was full, after circling around we found a parking spot in the Holiday Inn Hotel lot. Upon waking up on Sunday morning, ready to leave for our soccer game, we discovered that our car was not there. IT HAD BEEN TOWED AWAY, along with about 17 other cars. When we went to the front desk, they told us that there was a some miscommunication up with the towing company. The hotel contracts out with a towing company to remove "unauthorized" vehicles from their parking lot. The hotel forgot to let the towing company know that there was a soccer tournament and a wedding reception going on that night and that all of their parking spaces would be filled. On top of that, we had to go and get our vehicle from the tow yard which was about 25 minutes from where we were staying. When arriving at the tow yard, the receptionist told us that there is a map of the parking lot that indicates to the tow drivers which spaces are "unauthorized". The Holiday Inn Express never gave us a map or even told us that we couldn't park in certain spaces. What is even worse is that our new vehicle now has a scratch on it from where it was towed.
i was supposed to go to the NYS fair in august the day hurricane Irene hit. Gov. Mario Cuomo declared a state of emergency. i called the holiday inn express in Warners NY to tell them the situation and that i would be unable to drive there in the hurricaine Vicky answered the phone i told her the situation and she said there was nothing she could do there were no refunds. I asked for the corporate office number and she told me she did not have it, i asked to speak to a manager she said she was no available and she would give me her voice mail. I left a message with mellisa who i am still waiting to hear from. finaly i went on line and got the number. when i called corporate i spoke to jamie who listened to my story after a few minutes she got back on the phone and said under the circumstances a will be receiving a credit. Unfortunately the story does not end there. they gave me a credit on august 29th only to charge my credit card again on august 31st. now i have to contact my bank and am out over 200.00 for 10 days (hopefully) After reading the above i will never stay at a holiday inn agian. this is way i am giving them 1 star. and yes the number they are giving is wrong.
We booked a smoking room at Columbus Dwtn-Capitol Square on line and when we got there we were told there were no smoking rooms. We took a room anyway since we have stayed at no-smoking motels before and are used to the trek to the parking lot then went on to our conference. When we came to the room, without using it in any way other than sitting on chairs, we decided to take a room elsewhere. We asked politely if we could have an adjustment on the room and were told no because we held the room too long so we accepted that and went on to stay elsewhere.A week later we received a notice that we were being charged an aditional $240 some dollars for smoking in the room. This is dishonest and slanderous. We did not smoke in the room and in fact did not use anything in the room.We were in the room 20 minutes while we decided to stay or not.The hotel now is fabricating further by saying they offered to put us up at another hotel since they had gone non-smoking.If they had done this don't you think we would have done so?We still do not have an issue with the initial regular room charge but are very distubed by the smoking charge which is dishonest and an out and out lie.And then they have the gall to lie even further saying they offered to put us up at another hotel. The manager would not even come out of her office to speak to us in person on the day in question and has not returned our calls since. Her behavior should send up flags to corporate that she is not acting in an honorable, adult fashion.Perhaps you should see what other underhanded techniques she may be foisting on the public in your name.In conclusion we are asking our wrongfully charged smoking fine be returned for the sake of honesty. If you cannot see your way to do the right thing here ,I can promise you the $240 odd dollars you keep will pale before the thousands of dollars we will spend on rooms in coming months at OTHER motel chains across the country.
