I'm not writing regarding a specific Holiday Inn. My husband and I have travelled extensively and have stayed in numerous Holiday Inn's over the years. My concern this particular evening is regarding my attempt to make a reservation for my son and family. He is in the US Navy and was reassigned to Patuxent River, MD. He, his wife, two young sons, and two pets left Lemoore, Ca. They are driving two vehicles, one which is a truck pulling a travel trailer. They were staying in the trailer during the course of their trip but the weather has made it impossible to do so. Last night I found lodging for them in Memphis, Tn, no problem. It was great. Tonight is a different story. My son and family were involved in a slight accident this afternoon, no one was injured thank God. They had planned to stay in Asheville, NC tonight and I had secured lodging there. I cancelled the reservation there and attempted to make one with the Holiday Inn Knoxville West. I was told by a pleasant young woman that she could not take my reservation without a credit card authorization. I do not have a fax machine, nor do I have access to one. The rate she quoted me was $84.00, the government rate. Because I don't have a fax machine I had to make the reservation through PriceLine. It cost me $150.00 (inc taxes). It is a shame that a corporation this size can't take into consideration that emergencies do happen and people have problems. It is a shame that all corporations don't have a policy of assistance for military personnel. Please be assured that my husband and I will no longer be staying with Holiday Inn when we travel. Most sincerely, Beth Hodgman Sebring, FL
My husband and I recently stayed for 4 nights at the Holiday Inn in Tom's River, NJ. During our stay, which included the day after Christmas, the area was blanketed with a severe "storm of the century" snowstorm burying the entire town, including our the Hotel's parking lot and our car. Being senior citizens with health issues we could not physically shovel our car out. We paid a male employee of the Hotel Staff to do the job for us. It took him several hours and we paid him a fee. The next day when the parking lot was finally plowed out and we were able to be on our way, we left. As we packed up and departed, our car was still covered with ice and snow as the temps were freezing with high winds to boot. The following day, after we were long gone from Tom's River, NJ, we had our car washed and discovered that the employee had not only shoveled around our car, but had attempted to get the snow off of the car also. During this process of using a plastic snow shovel with a metal edge, he scratched our car from one end to the end, to the tune of over $2000.00 worth of repairs. These scratches were not just on the surface, but very, very deep and surrounded the entire vehicle. I called the manager at the office of the Holiday Inn of Tom's River, NJ, and she said that the insurance would most likely cover the cost of the repair and that they would be in touch with us requesting that we get estimates for the job. Then she sent the info to the Corporate Office and they just called me back and told me that they are not responsible for "accidents" that happen in their parking lot, and that when I signed in to register, that was on the card which I signed. Therefore, we are out over & above $2000.00 in repairs due to the damage that their employee did to our SUV. Needless to say I will never, ever stay at any Holiday Inn ever again. We truly got ripped off, big time. carolal32@msn.com

Saturday 12-18-10 a young lady works her shift 3-11 when nobody shows up to relieve her she does the following. Calls the one that is suppose to come in. Gets no answer, so calls managers. No answers so she calls other employees. She was told to lock everything up and text them and say she really has to leave. After the young lady stays over an hour and a half she text manager and said she was leaving in ten minutes. Come to find out both managers were too drunk to come in and during this night a gentlemen gets locked out of his room so he jumps counter to try to make another key. He can't figure it out so he calls cops and he sleeps on the couch in Lobby. Cops go to managers house and she supposibly was drunk. No one comes in until six or so. Sunday shift is covered and then Monday employee that no showed gets fired and so does the girl that worked her shift but had to leave. Someone in not doing there job in Artesia New Mexico. Holiday Inn Express should be embarrassed that they have managers like this..and if i were the young lady I would be very upset..that was not right..... anonymous 12/20/10 9:02PM
i was staying in Holiday Inn NY(125W 26th Street) from 12th Dec 2010 to 17th Dec. on 17th Dec i kept my bag(with all my personal belongings and shopping/ some official documents etc) in the lobby baggage area for which i was issued a ticket. when i was checking out at 7pm on 17th Dec 2010 and i gave the ticket to take my bag and i got to know that my bag is missing, its not there and no hotel staff knows where it has gone. i didnt get any proper answers from hotel staff and not even they allowed me to talk to the hotel manager who was not available that time. then i have to file the report to cops and with that i got late as i was suppose to catch a flight which i missed and had to return back to hotel. i asked hotel to arrange me a room at their cost they clearly denied. i paid all cash i have to the hotel bill. i lost all my personal belongings and dont even have a underwear nothing. the most humiliating part is how the situation is handled by hotel staff and the way they spoke i didnt get any assurance whether i will get my bag or not or will i be paid compensation for the same. they didnt even bother to check other rooms who checked in or out to see of somebody has taken by mistake. i missed my flight and now i am landing in Srilanka(where i work) mon eve and i amd missing very important business meetings there which could result loss of business. today also after staying overnight in hotel after missing my flight when i called the front desk to request to meet the manager they said "if" he is available he will call me. i didnt understand what means by "if". it is accepted by hotel staff that they lost my baggage under their authority and managment which is their mistake but somebody senior should come and discuss and give me options that they will be taking care of my hotel stay and i will be compensated. but not even one discussion on that.the staff is so rude/arrogant i cant explain. its been 16 hours and no body has contacted me. There is no negative rating or I would say -10. Anyone who stays in a Holiday Inn , either has never stayed in one before or is nuts! They do not take care of problems that they, themselves create.
Your hotel holiday inn in porte de clichy in Paris France is managed by an amator person who is absolutely unable to manage such high class hotel and is damaging for your quality and commercial image.first of all he is absolutely not polit and commercial, he is stressed and uncommercial.he has no idea of his responsabilties and the way to protect your image in front of the clients.the hotel is dirty, the staff unhappy and desmotivated, the kitchen is slow and poor quality, students are handling the front desk, the manager is never present and always no joinable by phone, he is on holidays ,!!!!!! shortly this manager Nicolas raoult is for sur not the right man at the right place and he is destroying slowly your image in Paris

We are presently staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Madison, FL and this morning we had the worst experience ever in all of our travels. We have been here for two days and we have been patrons of this hotel for the past six years. Well, the credit card information that they had on file for us had the incorrect expiration date, and instead of someone from the staff contacting us to correct the issue - the General Manager, Craig Waldrop decided to walk into our room this morning to adjust the lock (so he says) so that we could not return to our room. There was no phone call, not even a courtesy knock on the door - He just open the door, looked in and left. Fortunately, my husband and I were still resting in bed and we were not exposed, when Craig walked in. A few minutes later, Mr. Waldrop called to explain that he walked in to lock us out of our room because the credit card had been declined. We immediately called the bank because we knew that this information had to be incorrect. The bank said that the hotel used the incorrect expiration date and that's why the card was declined. We took the same card back to the Front Desk, Craig swiped the card and paid the bill without difficulty. We were furious that he was not courtesy enough to call us to straighten this matter out, but he chose to walk into our room unannounced, so he could lock us out. We have never been treated so poorly and we often stay at five star hotels due to business travels. Trust that this will be our last stay at the Holiday Inn Express, and we plan to pursue this issue even further. He had no right to walk into our room unannounced without even extending the courtesy to correct the issue, nor did he even attempt to offer an apology until other patrons appeared. We give this place less than one star, it has mold build up, worn mattress, linty towels, filthy carpets, etc. and their rates are excessive for this small town.
I am presently staying at the Holiday Inn in Columbus Ga. It is 6:00 PM and no maid service has shown up to bring towels or make the bed all day. I am supposed to be here all week, however the service is so bad I will be moving out as of tommorrow. There are 25 other employees in my company that will be here next week. I intend to see to it that they do not make the mistake of booking this Hotel.
We Stayed At the Holiday Inn at The Mall of America 3 Appletree sq. in Bloomington MN. Oct 16th 2010. Needless to say we were very suprised with What was going on in your Hotel. Not only did we witness sexual act in public areas, Also very skimpy or revealing costumes for a party. We complained to the front desk and asked what was going on. They told us about a swingers party going on in your banquet Hall.Is this The kind of reputation your Hotel wants or needs for that matter. I looked into this further and found out that this is not the first time for this kind of event in your hotel . What about the children and people who do not wish to be around such events.? We were not told this was going to be happening At the Holiday Inn MOA. A Copy of this email is being sent To your main Office and the Star Tribune as well. This Is A Family Motel By the Mall Of America!!!!!! Thank you for your Time and Hope This issue is handled in a Proper Manner.
I and business associate stayed over night at Holiday Inn LPGA Blvd. in Daytona Beach. Room was spotless upon exit and a cleaning fee was charged to my credit card. In conversation with off going personnel, was informed that all pet friendly rooms are cleaned and sanitized after each guest. It felt good to hear this, but I was unaware this was charged back to guest after departure. This is a bit upsetting since I made sure no mess was made either by me of my dog who wet outside before bed and in morning. I made sure of this, inspected and videoed the room as I use this hotel frequently. I caution guests to watch out for this upon staying at Holiday Inns.
Hi if anyone cares, October 27-28 I stayed at you Burlington hotel, locater at 1068 Williston Road when returning from my work on the 28th I noticed my verizon card missing from the computer bag I reported it to the fron dest. they todm me they would check with house keeping to see if it was turned in, why would the return it i was staying two nights? The next morning i went through this again with front desk, while I had breakfast they checked with house keeping of course nothing turned in. they told me nothing could be done ha, i asked fro the General Manager Nathan Germond, he was do in at 10am I had to leave for the 6 hour ride to Maine, i called leaving a message at 10:40am Friday the weekend passed not return call oh yes the dest said he was in. My question for you why in the world would I want to return to your hotels? the beat part of this I had found my card when I returned home as I said I might have to them senion moment for me, but the lack of concern leaves me with a bad feeling. I average 4/5 nights in hotel monthy with Burlinton a new area for me to represent. I dont expect anything but business must be good to treat people in this way. I stayed at your Clarksville, IN location last year. Why do you allow your name to be associated with such an unkept dive? Most of your properties are well maintained and I would recommend them to anyone. On this property, my wife ran from the room screaming when she saw the roaches. The bed linens were stained. The electricals in the room were not all functioning and some were missing covers. The place was simply horrid. I went to the front desk with a live roach that I captured in a plastic cup and the desk clerk smirked as though this was nothing new. The manager was no where to be found and ofcourse never returned my calls. Needless to say, we will never even consider Holiday Inn again. We now stay exclusively at Hampton Inns. $20.00 more - but clean and maintained. Shame on you people for allowing this situation not only to develop, but to remain unchecked.

Jaimy Lynn Cohen P.O. Box 549 North Bellmore, NY 11710 events@jaimylynn.com Holiday Inn September 22, 2010 To Whom It May Concern: We attended a wedding out on Eastern Long Island on September 11, 2010 and decided to stay overnight at your Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma, New York.. After awakening in the middle of the night at 3:00 am. in a hot room , I was unable to get back to sleep for a couple of very long hours. I finally was successful in falling asleep only to be woken up by the maid service screaming back and forth in the hallway early in the morning. I tried to block out their voices. I finally left my room to go downstairs and get a cup of coffee. I literally walked between these two women, speaking at the top of their lungs to one another right outside my door. I informed them that they were entirely too loud for a Sunday morning at that early hour. I spoke with Nancy, the manager as I was leaving and she apologized, saying that she had spoken to these employees. I fail to see how that remedied my lack of sleep and extremely poor professionalism on the part of your staff. In short, I purchased a room to get rest and I did not receive rest at this location. I had work obligations that afternoon and was so incredibly tired, I was barely able to function. I had to pull my car off of the road to take a nap so I could function. I hope that at the very least, you credit my account. Sincerely; Jaimy Lynn Cohen I
As a long time limo driver I find it amazing that your Holiday Inn located on Buena Vista road in Orlando's "Disney" is virtually empty of viable customers. It shold be noted that each hotel in the surrounding area and adjacent to this Holiday Inn are beaming with customers - while your hotel is sinking into the ground for lack of a better phrase. I have to assume that your management at this hotel is lacking in promoting business, i.e. soliciting business to bring in customers. Perhaps corporate management should take a look into the "why?" behind your disney hotel doing so poorly. I firmly beleive that the inexperience, or lack of business savvy, is behind your lack of clients and I feel obligated to comment on it. Having stayed at many Holiday Inn's in my years I find it dishearting that you can not motivate persons in authority to better advertise or promote this extemely viable location. Regards
