I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Clack Street in Abilene Texas and I must say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First the mattress seemed like it has been there since the opened the hotel. The General manager who I must say english is very poor and looked like he should be the garbage man and not the General manager was of little help. He seemed like he couldn't be bothered to get anything of our complaints fixed. The only helpful person was the gentleman at the front desk who did everything with his power to accommodated us. The General manager seems like he has no Idea how to manage a hotel because he was not very accommodating and seemed like he already had our money so he didn't really care. I must say Priority Club should definitely stop by this hotel and see exactly what is going on. And the lady in the housekeeping was very rude when we asked for extra towels. She acted like we were asking for too much but that's her job so why was she so outright rude I have no Idea. I have always stayed with holiday inn when I travel but this one will never see me again.
We booked 3 rooms at the holida inn sunspree in galveston tx. One of the rooms was to be a smoking room [that is what we were told by hotels.com] there was no smoking room, the couple we were with had to go to another hotel, Th desk clerk said we would get a refund of $382.96 in 3 to 5 days well it has been a month now,we have repeatedly called and the manager will not answer our calls. Please help us
My husband (Joe) has had a kidney transplant at Vanderbilt and are going back and forth for Dr appointments to the Holiday Inn-Nashville West End from Blountville, TN. We just wanted to say thank you for all the care and such nice employees. Over the past few months we have gotten to know your employees by name. We would like to especially thank Ron the Van Driver/Bellman. He has been so kind to us and always has a smile and is so upbeat. He seems to make you feel better about the situation and the visits to the Clinic. Ron is a BIG asset to the Holiday Inn Nashville West End. Thanks again Nancy & Joe Broyles
I was thinking everything was just fine but IT WAS NOT. We were trying to relax after a long day at my daughter's graduation and decided to check in at the Holiday Inn Express in Starkville,Ms but it turn into the worst hotel visit ever. We had a room with no microwave, no refrigerator and the phone line was not working in the room. We was told to wait until the next day for better service but we were checking out the next day. I was told we can get in another room for an extra fee for $10.00 but we were charged more. I decided to take a shower later and I had dirty towels with construction workers work cement dried up in the towel and it was not pleasant because I receive body damage from this towel. Reported the incident and all they could tell me is that they have had constuction work done on the hotel and one of the workers could have mixed the towel in with their towel. My thing is how did the towel get back in with housekeeping and why did they not check the towels before putting them in the room (very nasty)? I am so stress and disappointed and praying that I don't have an infection from this incident!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at the Holiday Inn in Westalke OH on Saturday, May 12, 2012, and had a very bad expierence with members of your staff. It was 3:10PM and we needed to book about 10-15 rooms for a my son's wedding. The front desk told me that Nicole was about to leave and she could not see us, not for even 5 minutes. What kind of corporate policy is that? You would think on Saturdays you would make somone available for bookings since most people work during the week. I've stayed at your hotels in the past and have found them very acceptable. This expierence leaves me with a bad taste and am currently looking at another hotel to book. Someone truly needs to review corprate policy and address my concern. Michael W. Novicky

Please see the information regarding front office manager Andrea Gould at the Holiday Inn and Suites Phoenix Airport North. I was very surprised to realize that Holiday Inn would hire a child abuser to be around kids and put people's families in danger. http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/Father-step-mom-arrested-for-allegedly-locking-teen-girl-in-bathroom-for-weeks-84022417.html Teen beaten, locked in bathroom for weeks allegedly by father, stepmom . by Catherine Holland azfamily.com Posted on February 10, 2010 at 9:45 AM Updated Wednesday, Feb 10 at 8:54 PM Related: •Phoenix man sentenced for daughter's imprisonment •Phoenix couple enter pleas in child abuse case Map: Teen allegedly locked in bathroom View larger map PHOENIX -- Police in Phoenix are investigating what appears to be a case of child abuse involving a teenage girl who was allegedly kept locked in a bathroom off and on for months. The girl escaped and went to the police. Now her father, Scott Bass, and her stepmother, Andrea Gould Bass, are behind bars on charges of child abuse, kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment. The 14-year-old girl told police her father and stepmother locked her in a bathroom with no running water and kept her there for about two months. She said it was punishment for being irresponsible and stealing food. The girl said that while she was confined, she was fed every one or two days, but not enough to keep her from being hungry. According to the police report, the teen was forced to exercise to the point of exhaustion. The girl was also allegedly beaten with belts and metal rods and pulled up by her hair if she stopped. The teen managed to escape on Jan. 24 by making her way through an old linen closet into an attic crawlspace and then down into the house. Her parents were not home at the time. The girl told police she rode her bike to a movie theater where an elderly couple gave her $50. She said she then rode to 44th Street and Thomas Road where she used the money to buy clothes, food, water and a backpack. She eventually ended up at a Scottsdale Starbucks where she asked an employee to call the police. When officers went to the girl's home in the area of 27th Avenue and Durango Street, they said Bass did not realize his daughter was gone. An officer took a look at the bathroom where the girl said everything happened and saw a five-gallon bucket partially filled with urine. There also were empty food cans and a blanket made into a bed. The officer described the room as "dilapidated" and said it had been locked from the outside. According to court paperwork, Bass, 33, indicated that the room was the victim's room. Police said Bass admitted he locked up his daughter because she cheated on a home-school test and stole food from the kitchen. He reportedly told police the girl had been "grounded" to her room off and on since Christmas. Andrea Bass, however, denied knowing that the girl was locked up. She reportedly told police the teen had not been eating or participating with the family for the past several months. Court paperwork shows that Andrea Bass, 31, has a history of domestic violence and kidnapping. According to that paperwork, Child Protective Services in California removed children after the alleged exorcism of a child and a child who was kept outside the home for months. Police said Andrea Bass told them she had 15 prior reports with Child Protective Services. Doctors have examined the teen. They said she is in the 25th percentile for her weight and 50th percentile for her height. According to court paperwork, this is not the first time the teen has been locked up. She told police that when her family lived in an apartment in Glendale, she was forced to sleep outside on the patio for months. She also said she was locked in a bathroom for a week and in a closet for a week. Police said Andrea Bass admitted to locking the girl in the bathroom and closet at that apartment, as well as locking her outside for a week during the summer. Police said there were four other children living in the home at 27th Avenue and Durango Street. They are now in CPS custody.
I stayed at the HI express at the Savannah Ga airport and had to let you know what a great experience it was. Your manager, Mr. Thurnell Brinson was truly wonderful to work with. He was so helpful and kind and very knowledgable about the area. Because of him we stayed there again on our way back North. I just wanted to let you know what a gem you have here. I stayed in H.I.E. wauwatosa,wi this past weekend and I must admit that I was horribly disappointed. After becoming a member of priority club, I've stayed at numerous hotels and this episode has SOURED me to H.I.E. I told the desk clerk that I would be bringing 3 small children to stay for the weekend and that I would need a crib for the 18 month old. I didn't have a chance to really look at the floors but I wouldn't have been able to tell anyway because the carpeting is dark green & black. When I came back from the tournament I started to make the bed of the crib only to find no sheets. I called several times to the destk, no answer so I walked up there from the furtest room on the 1st floor..I was told that sheets were not supplied because it was a safety hazard. This was @ 915-930pm After putting the children to bed, I turned on the bedside lamp and the watts had to be @ 40 or so. Very poor lighting for reading. The next day (Saturday) I got a good look at the bathroom, and I'm sorry to say it was not clean around the edges as it should have been. We left a little early but came back in the early afternoon. The children played in the room due to inclement wheather... When my children finished playing on the floor....their white socks were BLACK!!! I'm concerned that they were not mindful of the fact that I specifically told them I was bringing small children to their hotel. I feel that it shouldn't matter whether there are children coming or not, the carpets should NOT be that dirty on ANY given day. I was compensated but I still can't see myself staying in another one of these hotels. GET IT TOGETHER H.I.E.
I'm sitting in my Holiday Inn suite. My husband and I have spent 2 nights here... I am pleased with most of my stay here. Unfortunitly the bed is within 20 inches of the Airconditioner unit the first night we didnot turn it on. The 2nd night it was too warm and we hard to turn the unite on. It blew in my face and I had to cover my head to beable to sleep. I really do not understand why they have it set up this way but maybe the cable was installed on the wrong wall and they were to cheap to correct this. Will probably not use this Holiday Inn again... In Jasper, ALabama....
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express In Tampa Florida the night of April 21, 2012. The staff looked crubby like they lived on the street. The manageron duty Thomas was pleasant but you could tell he did ot want to be bothered. The sheets on the bed were clean but the pillow cases were dirty. Upon arriving back at the hotel around 1:30 there was no power as a storm was passing through. I cannot believe that this Hotel chain does not have a generator at the Hotel. We were on the top floor and this was a struggle for me as I had a new knee put in. They had no flashlight in the rooms which they should had handed out at the front desk as you walk in. We called down in the morning as there was only 2 towels in room~and this was at 9 am and was told cleaning staff was not in and that we had to come to front desk to p/u towels. Really I've stayed a low grade hotels and got better service. The refrigerator wasn't working but they finaaly got it working so so. We had to go down to the 3rd floor to get ice as our floor doesn't have a ICE MACHINE!!!! Why is there not ICE MACINES on every floor????. I'll stay at RED ROOF INN or CHOICE HOTELS next time. We come over quite a bit and the reason we stayed here we liked the IDEA you had a smoking floor~which you need to teach HOUSEKEEPING to deodorize the rooms and have a system coming through the AC Vents. BAD BAD BAD We were going to make reservations while there for staying in 2 weeks to meet friends but guess what NOT. I GUESS THE SHOW ` UNDERCOVER BOSS THAT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS DID WAS A TOTAL LIE ABOUT IMPROVEMENTS GUESS YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO THIS HOTEL THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE TO MAKE AN UNDERCOVER VISIT HERE. MY CONFERMATION # IS: 68050365 RATE CODE:IGCOR For $151 a night this was the worse. Will be telling my place of work to not stay at any "HOLIDAY INN ESXPRESS 7 SUITES IN THE USA for Business Meetings..
Our son had reserved a room at Holiday Inn Express on Riva Rd. in Annapolis for a Saturday night stay. He was anxious to visit his 97 year old grandmother who may not live much longer. Holiday Inn had given him a confirmation number and told him the $82 rate would be honored when he presented the coupon at check-in. However when checking in the front desk clerk would not honor the rate even though the reservations agent had said it would be. We tried to discuss this with her but she demeaningly said about 15 times that we should read the fine print, which we had. Also, when I was reading the coupon she grabbed it from me, pointed to it and said "Read the fine print.". No matter what was said she did NOT respond to what was being said and only said "Read the fine print." never minding that her response was not relevant. The manager on duty, Grace Scott,(posted on the wall at the desk) was called for. The clerk stated she would be down. No mgr. appeared. Later the clerk said the mgr would call. She did call the clerk who did not want us to talk to her and said the mgr agreed with her. We asked for the mgr's number which the clerk reluctantly provided. When my son tried to call her she did not answer. When my husband called (a new number for her on her caller id) she answered immediately. Also, the clerk at that point said that it was the mgr's day off and she wasn't there. (The story kept changing.) The clerk said the reservation could be cancelled at no charge. However, at that point no one in our party was trusting that. My son subsequently asked for her to write on a piece of paper that had the cancellation confirmation number that this was not going to incur any charge. She utterly refused to do this. (The mgr told my husband on the phone that she should do that.) She never did. The experience gave us the impression of being a bait and switch tactic and turned us totally off to wanting to ever have any dealings with Holiday Inn. The front desk clerk was rude and did not even attempt to solve the problem and didn't seem to care to. Our son then went to another hotel in the area. The price was good, they honored their rate at check-in and the atmosphere was pleasant and the rooms were nice. I'm glad we found it as it seems a good place to stay in the future. Perhaps this front desk clerk needs more training in how to do her job. Generally, a business usually tries to create customer good will and does not try to demean them. No effort was made at attempting to create good will and thus business in the future.
I had the pleasure of hosting the Hospitality Suite for a 500 plus conference at the the Holiday Inn, Old Town Alexandria, Virginia the weekend of April 13 -15. The professionalism, personal attention, and outstanding accommodation to our needs on an individual and group basis was noteworthy and most appreciated. I particularly want to thank Rodrigo, Torre, and Jennifer for all their assistance in getting us the suite near our meeting rooms. It was ideal for our purposes. I especially want to thank Michael Brown and the hospitality staff for working with us the entire weekend to make our event so worry-free and memorable. Your service was above and beyond expectations. I can recommend the Holiday Inn Old Town to anyone coming for the weekend or hosting a large event such as ours. Many Thanks!
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Princeton Lakes Campcreek, Atlanta Airport for one night on Friday the 13th. Maid services was less than adequate. The walls in my room were dirty and a piece of paper was left on the floor by the maid prior to my checking in. After checking out the room on the next day, and upon returning home, I realized that I left my iphone charger in the room still plugged into the outlet. I called the hotel on three occasions to ask that the maid check the room for my charger. Finally on Tuesday, April 17th, I received a call back from the head maid indicating that my charger had not been turned in and that someone else was in the room at this time. I am through dealing with the local hotel and will now contact corporate headquarters. It is now a matter of principle. The question is not a matter of perhaps I may have left the charger in the room, I KNOW that I left my charger in the room because I charged my phone before leaving, took my phone off the charger, and put the phone in my purse. I inadvertenly left the charger plugged into the wall, took my bags and checked out of the hotel. Since the maid said that it was not there (3 days later) then someone had to have taken it after I checked out.
Extremely upset with the staff and management. We went to branson MO for our 2 year anniversary and have stayed at the Holiday inn express before so we thought we would do it again. Well that was a huge mistake. We went to branson with a large sum of money so we had cash for everything. We booked our presidential suite with cash and they said it would not be a problem they just needed a credit or debit card, we said ok ,but there is not money on it, they said that would be fine. We paid cash for our room signed the papers and they told us it would be a hour before our room would be ready, we said that was fine and went and got some food so they would call us when the room was ready. About 2 and a half hours had passed and they called us saying my debit card would not go threw . I clearly told them at the desk there was no money in the bank we were paying all with cash. They told us sorry but they could not rent the room to us after we had already payed with cash. I was extremely upset and outraged that they were telling me my money was no good at the Holiday inn express. So we had to drive all the way back after we had booked our motel and they said it was fine to pick up our cash that we payed with. It caused a huge headache and was disappointed that they said my cash was no good there. Also we could have already had another motel booked instead of waiting around for this 1. We will tell people do not go to this motel at all, that there cash is no good there!
I have been staying in the Holiday Inn Express for over two weeks while my mom has been in he Intensive Care at the hospital in Grenville, NC. I was not expected to check out for 2 more days. My "special shampoo, conditioner and body wash" was removed from my bathroom. I called front desk and of course no one could help me. No manager on duty and no housekeeping service available with an answer. I will not have it in the morning before I return to hospital. Why would my items be removed if I was not scheduled to check out?
March 21 2012 Stayed here cause we were heading home to Michigan. If we only knew that Lima, Ohio was only a few more miles ahead we wouldn't have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Tipp City, Ohio. It cost more than a Hampton Inn, no coffee or anything in the cafeteria at night for a snack like the Hampton Inn was. Breakfast was POOR for a continental one. Pancake server was broke, no fruit , and no vending machines around on first floor. Lobby was bare compared to most hotels, environment was dull. Room wasn't very impressive for the price and everything else around was closed, a dark place for a hotel. Will never stay at a Holiday Express will go to a Hampton Inn, friendly at home environment and there's always a place to go to.
The Holiday Inn does not Really want my opinion, cause I would have been given a call back by now. My parents just celebrated thier 45th wedding annversary by renewing thier vowels. I had blocked a group of rooms for out of town guest and my parents to stay the day of the vowel renewal with Ms Cassie C. That is when my trouble began...after signing the contract my account was trans to Ms Sara W. who could really care less if she spoke to me. My guest called to reserve thier rooms and was told we had no reservation under our name, when Callec Sara, I was told she had no problem finding our reservation...gee I wonder why. One guest called and was transfered from dept. to dept... No luck. A minister was so frustrated that he went to another hotel with better rates and rooms. The weekend of the wedding my guest found that they jacked up prices of the rooms which was set at 99.00, cold rooms, extremly hot rooms, dirty rooms, nasty showers and they had to hunt down the maid service for coffee. Two guest checked out the next morning instead of staying the three nights. As my guest checked out I spoke with Jennifer who clearly had o concern fod my sistuation. HOILDAY INN COCO KEYS IS A JOKE. I was offended and embarrassed of what my guest had to put p with. My brides, clients or family will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!
On March 20th, 2012 we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Smithsfield, NC. We were on our family vacation driving to Florida. The next day when we got were driving to Florida we realized my son had left his brand new iPOD touch, which was $200.00 on the bed in the room. I immediately called Darrell who was the desk person who was working and he went up to the room and found it. I called him back and he said that it would be put in the safe in the manager's office so that on our way home from Florida we would get it. We went out of our way to stop back at the hotel on our way home from Florida and got the run around that there wasn't anyone there manager wise to open the safe and he took our information, address, phone number, name, etc. and said it would be mailed to us immediately. This past weekend, which is April 6 we had called again, because we still hadn't received the iPod in the mail and asked to speak to the manager. The manager Henry Singh got on the phone and my husband had told him that we had called several times and all of the personnel that we talked to had told us it would be mailed. He put my husband on hold and what he said when he came back totally shocked me and made me sick to my stomach, he said, "It was taken out of my office and cannot be found." That to me means that someone, one of the Holiday Employees had stolen my son's iPod. My husband asked him if he was happy that one of his employees would do that and he just laughed and said some stupid comment. I am very irate and I cannot believe that an employee of your company would do that. Harry Singh actually gave my husband $200.00. He wired it to his account, so he knows exactly that it was stolen or he would have never given my husband the money. I am writing this letter and I am still going to call your corporate headquarters and let you know this kind of stuff is going on at your hotels. Thank you. Jeanie P.
I made reservation through hotels.com. 19337833001 I spoke to the rep last Saturday (Shirley)firmont WV. Because I made a huge mistake when doing this. I have brain cancer and reserved the room for the wrong dates 5/25/12 I needed it 5/19/12. My son and I stayed at the Holiday inn Express in Morgantown WV on 5/19/12. I asked the receptionist at this hotel to call fairmont hotel so she could verify I have a big operation scar on my head (she would not help). All I’m asking for is a refund, I know this was my fault but while the medical bills are piling up this would help out immensely. Hotels.com said they would waive the cancelation fee if approved by the hotel. Michael Grant 703-675-7050 magrant@fedex.com
