“AVOID THIS PLACE!!” Reviewed August 4, 2012 NEW I stay in hotels over 100 nights a year. The Holiday Inn Philadelphia on 400 Arch st. is one of the worst experiences I can remember. They put me in room 801 ( Under my managers name Walker Terrell) The first problem was no internet access. They sent a repair gut up 3 times and the problem was never fixed. The more serious problem was the door to the roof top pool which is rite next to mine. The door was broken in such a way that every 5 mins when some when went thru it you could hear it slam. This place makes an econo lodge look like a high end hotel. The management here needs to be replaced. Stayed August 2012, traveled on business HappyTraveler19106, Manager at Holiday Inn Hotel Historic District Philadelphia, responded to this review August 6, 2012 I am so sorry that your internet access wasn't working properly. We provide free internet to our guests because we know how important it is. Unfortunately, your room is the first room next to the pool and it is very busy, on the weekends especially. We only open the pool from 10am - 10pm so the foot traffic and noise will disturb the least amount of people. I apologize that you were disturbed. If the hotel was not sold out, we would have been able to move your room. If you will contact me at june.seminario@ihg.com, I would be happy to reach a satisfactory resolution for you. Our guest satisfaction is my priority. You obviously didn't investigate the problem. Ed Welsh 8:04 PM (1 hour ago) to june.seminario If you had investigated the door to the pool you would have noticed that it is broken! Your head of security agreed it was broken, your maintenance guy admitted it was broken, so spend the money and fix the door!! As for only being open between 10 am and 10 pm you couldn't be more un-informed! No one ever came to lock the door at 10 pm so as soon as the bars were closed I got to enjoy drunk people screaming while they were slamming the door!! and when I tried to call the operator and the front desk at 4:00 am! NO ONE ANSWERED !! I will be posting this complaint along with my previous complaint on every web site I can find!!!!!

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do Not come to Lapeer Michigan. There staff is rude and they will rip you off. They also will not inform you on any details. And if you are a Priority Club card holder, don't expect your points to be credited. I had to call 7 times just to get a confirmation emailed to and still never recieved it. Also it was very dirty with RUDE people. I myself or my company will NOT be staying at any Holiday Inn Express EVER again.

Upon checking in to the Holiday Inn Express in Columbus Ohio on Hudson street to be a matter of fact where I had booked a room online with my credit card. While i was giving the man at the front desk (who had no idea what he was doing) my information I realized I did not bring the credit card I originally booked with so he wanted another card that was physically there so he could run it. I gave him my bank card and I asked him several times both cards will not be charged correct? He replied " no mam". At that time I had paid extra money for a roll away bed that I had to call front desk for three times and did not recieve untill eleven oclock that night! When I got home I checked my accounts a couple days later they had charged the original card I booked with and not my bank card. I thougt it to be "strange" but as long as they hadnt charged both cards all is well. ONE WEEK LATER get a call from my bank saying my bank card is overdrawn sure enough they waited and charged that one as well. I contact the supervisor the same day (who does not speak English well and very unprofessional) only for him to give me the run around. I then contact corporate they blame the supervisor but say they do not handle any part of the billing process. What good is a corporate office? So as it stands I paid for a two night stay and was there less than 24 hours. I have always stayed with this chain when I traveled but that will be no more. Absolutely horrible experience! With all the over charging I would say you guys can afford to lose customers.

We stayed at a holiday Inn Express this past wekend in Ramsey, NJ and as we were unloading our vehicle from the side of van a man decided to pull his big ass truck that left no room for my friend to move out of the way and hit her in the back with side mirror. We walked in and told the lady at the front desk, her name was (Hina) we told her what happened in there parking lot and you would think that after telling them she was hit by a car she would automaticly call the cops it didnt happen. And to make the matter worse they decided to put this man and his friend on the same floor as us and just couple of doors away. My friend didt feel safe at all and this other man was running his mouth which was not at all nice. Soooo I hope Holiday Inn Express is going to read this one cuz i will never stay at Holiday Inn Express again.

In reference to the Holiday Inn Matteson Hotel & Confeence Center in Matterson Il. My committee and I booked this hotel in Novemember 2011 for a Family Reunion. Our Family Reunion date it 8/9/2012 through 8/12/2012. We booked 42 rooms and now the hotel has stated that the pool will not be open. This is devasting, they hotel has informed everyone with the exception of the Committee Chairperson, Veronica Hicks. Of course the pool is one of the main contractual amenities that we look forward to using. When I found out, through sources that the pool would not be opened (regardless to the reason) We should have been informed and other perks, amentities, etc should be offered. The person on the phone was not helpful in even given the managements name, only the person named Mary in sales. Why didn't Mary call us. She has the phone numbers, I feel that we are not improtant to this hotel. Yet they took our resvp and our money for the banquet which by the way cost over $4,000. In reality we are looking at a cost over $8,000 with the booking of the hotel and the banquet. I need a pool - lower rates - and whatever else we can recieve due to this inconvience. Please call me, Renetta Lewis at 773 600-1925. Sincerely, Devastated!!!

The Holiday Inn Express in Peabody, MA was absolutely terrible and deserves NO STARS. My daughters & I arrived for a Softball Tournament, which a block of rooms were suppose to be set aside for the Team. Complaint #1 - check-in time was suppose to be at 3 PM - I arrived at 2:50 and waited an hour before I was allowed to check in; #2 The "block" of rooms were spread out over 4 floors, not what I'd call a block; #3 - Ice Machines on all four floors were all out of Ice; #4 - After I checked out and went back to room to clear out - my clothes that were next to the air conditioner were soaked, when I went back to complain about all my clothes being wet, the man said to me "sorry, there's nothing I can do about that - I could dry them for you"; and The Icing on the Cake is #5 - after we left it was discovered that there was a Meth Lab on the first floor that got busted and they were regulars there at the Hotel. I didn't find this Hotel accommodating in the least bit and was very disappointed in the service they really didn't provide.

Wow! Reading the other reviews, I am not surprised my stay was total crap. I am 5 months pregnant, have been taking care of my ill father, and had just spent an entire day at the spa to relax and regroup. It was the first time to myself I was able to have since December of last year. This was to be my personal retreat. So much for that. First, I had to switch rooms because I was sandwiched in between the ice machine and the elevator. Why a designer would put a room there is beyond me. More like a great place for a maid's closet. Then when I got to my second room, my key didn't work. Next, when I went to the pool, my key didn't work to let me back in the building. In addition, there was a horrible signal for the internet in my room. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with tech support, to have them suggest I find the "sweet spot" in the room and use it there. I went back downstairs to the front desk (now a fourth time, pregnant let me remind you) where they gave me a signal booster, which didn't work, nor did they seem to care or offer any reimbursement. They did suggest I use the business center. I am not going to use the business center when I am paying for a room that should have service. Later, when I was ready for bed, I called to request 2 extra pillows. It took 3 phone calls and hour for those to arrive. The excuse from management for the delay was that they "were at capacity". What a weak excuse. It is not my problem that you are understaffed and cannot handle your hotel at is maximum potential, which any business thrives for. To top it all off, no one at the front desk seemed to even care. What a learning experience and disappointment. Never again will I stay at your hotel. The fact that no one offered me a lower rate for my room because of the inadequacies, is maddening. The "there's nothing I can do" response is a giant load of crap and unacceptable. Way to go Holiday Inn. You suck!

I had a problem with my bill and contacted the Holiday Inn head quarters. The person I talked to listened to what I had to say and corrected the problem. His name was Randall and he was very helpful.

We stayed at the Holidy Inn Express in Lincoln Il. The stay was pleasant and clean. The breakfast choices were wonderful. However; when we went to leave and received our bill the price per night changed every day. We were told that the price changes as does the prices at other hotels. I made my reservations understanding I would be paying $84 plus tax per night. Each night there my bill went up $10 plus tax. We will not stay were they think they can change the cost when they feel like it.

I had a fall in the tub at the Holiday Inn on 441 Park August, GA on 7/20/2012. It happened at about 11:45pm or later. I filled out a claim and I haven't heard anything. I filled out the claim on 7/22/2012 before I left. I went to the doctor and I have faxed over information to that particular Holiday Inn on 441 Park Augusta, GA. I called and got the manager's name and his name is Joel Hortenstine. I have left two message today 7/26/2012. My number is 904-608-4222 and my email address is zeigler1236@comcast.net.

My wife and i spent three days at the holiday inn Atlanta,Ga. The breakfast food really wasn't that great. We arrive on time and had to wait at least an hour before we got checked in;after the long wait to be checked in they gave us a room that was already preoccupied so we had to lug all our luggage all the way back down to the front desk to get another room; we requested a room on the front;low and behold they got that wrong as well. Our first night there, we were awaken by roddy neighbors throughout the night. The room was nothing like the picture that were on the internet. my wife was awaken constantly by the loud air conditioner in the room. The shuttle bus was about to fall apart; and one of the drivers had poor ettiquet. When I got ready to checkout they mess my billing up too; the roof top pool is deceiving; it's not on the very top of the hotel ; it's on the second floor.I think i deserve some kind retribution from the the Holiday Inn.

I was charged for two nights that I wasnt able to stay. I was selayed in an airport the first night and needed to return home early so gave the hotel 72 hour notice and they still charged me. Two nights of nothing. I work with mnay people and will advize them al to avoid the money trap at this hotel They said it was pre-paid!! Who pre-pays?? Holiday INN Stevenage St. George Way SG1 ! HS Telephone o1438722727 DO NOT STAY AT THIS SCAMMING HOTEL THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF SUCH A SHAME AS IT WAS QUITE CLEAN I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER STAY AT ANOTHER HOLIDY INN AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!!!!!!!! EVER EVER EVER EVER!!!!!! I was never told this was a pre-pay.. I just made a reservation.. RIPPED ME OFF

recently stayed at the Holiday Inn express in Hillview, ky. staff was very nice, helpful. The carpeting was very dirty. the elevator carpet was horrible. I could see some clean areas along the walls but that was it. there were dirty stains in the room, tv channels were terrible. pool was cloudy and smelled. I've stayed at other holiday inn hotels and felt I could trust it. I feel bad because the staff was very nice. Thank you

On April 13, 2012 I tried to make reservations through Hotel and Discounts.com for the Holiday Inn Express in Conway, South Carolina. This was made for my mother's 70th birthday. On April 14, I recieved a message that there was a problem with the reservation and I would have to call Holiday Inn's reservation number. I called Holiday Inn and made reservations for June 30th through July 5, 2012 for what I thought was Conway, South Carolina. The email I recieved from Holiday Inn confirmed my reservations for Conway. A few days before our trip I checked the resevation and found it was for Conway, Arkansa not Conway, South Carolina. My husband and niece both called Holiday Inn (because I was so distraught) and they would not refund the money because they said it was made on the internet (which it wasn't). I don't understand why they could not give me a credit for a future stay or reimburse some of the money! This was a terrible experience knowing that I may miss my mother's 70th birthday and trying to find somewhere else to stay and lossing $700.00. With the economy the way it is, this has been a big blow to our family's summer budget since I'm a teacher and don't get paid during the summer months. I am telling everyone I know about this horrible ordeal. I did find a place to stay which was a friends condo, but it wasn't the same.

Holiday Inn solicited me for a promotional offer on a 3 night, 4 day stay at selected hotels. I tried to deline and the attendant says, You mean you don't want this great deal, a free vacation all for only a $200 charge and 1 year to book and we give your $200 back on arrival. Well, I didn't read the confirmation letter but let's just say these guys ought to be one of the wealthiest businesses in the US with these kind of deals. After the third time trying to book had it out wtih them after Holiday Inn wanted to charge me again for nearly $400, Prepaid booking for upgrade, extra nights, etc. On top of having to go to a 2 hour promotional meeting for my orginal $200 back. Asbsolute nightmare. Stay away from Holiday Inn and if they call and offer a free promotional vacation run for the hills! They've lost my business for good!

During a bus trip, I was supposed to stay t the holiday inn lakeview, 505 marriott dr., clarksville, ID. After walking down long dreary hallways, we got to our stale smoke smelling room. air freshener did not mask the smell. it was a nonsmoking room. I have asthma attacks from fumes from air fresheners. Had an attack, notified staff. 2 other rooms smelled the same. 4th room smelled like clorox, masked the other odors. Since I was already having an attack, I didn' know if that room was ok. agreed to try it. when i came back later, clorox odor was gone, had another attack. Found out there were air fresheners in all the air conditioners. staff took me to 4 rooms, knowing that I had attacks from fresheners. 9PM, nowhere to stay. Staff earlier stated, they would get a room at another hotel. Now, they are not helping at all. We had to do it on our own. I have traveled alot. Never experienced having a filthy room, and not another clean, non-smelling room available. Also, if there is a fire, I don't think that people could get out safely going through the long halls.I thought holiday inn had a good reputation, this hotel would ruin that.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Coco Keys in Fitchburgh Ma. What a horrible experience we had. My Nephew was getting married at Wachusettes Mt and booked a block of rooms for his guests (about 200 People) They booked the bar in the lobby for after the reception. They paid for an open bar and when we got back to the Hotel we were told that the bar was closed and to, "take it up with the event planner'. The Manager Tammy had no control of the situation (utube video will be uploaded) and police were called in. Also, on 6/30/2012 I looked out of my hotel window and see three lifeguards getting high on their break. This organization literally put children in danger and ruined my Nephews wedding. Now, let me tell you about the air conditioning, there was none on the 6th floor. When my Sister asked for a discount when she was checking out she was told by Tammy that fans were offered to the guests and she would not be recieving a discount. I would rethink Tammy's position with your company. The Holiday Inn should be embarassed. They clearly have lost control of their company. Trust me, this is not over and I am very confident that there will be some litigation involved. We will be taking this viral. Also, drug test the lifeguards. Stay the hell away from Coco Keys hotel and water park.

i live in Indaina we just had a strom that took out our power and the temps are about 98 here, what is wrong with you people not giving discounts to those in need???? we have over 100,000 people without power and many with healthe concerns SHAME ON YOU..... Luann Shoda
