My family (myself,husband, and elderly father) ate at a golden corral in El Paso TX on Lee Trevino rd. My husband suggested it because he had good experiences with this restuarant. We went to eat there at five in the evening on 19nov2011. My husband got himself a piece of fried chicken and when he bit into it it was RAW! I brought this to the waiters attention and asked to speak to the management. The waiter went in the back and came back out and told my family that everything was ok and they would remove and re-fry the chicken... This is completly un-sanatary and unacceptiable. I don't know what kind of people this is running this joint but its disgusting... Never saw the manager apparently feeding people raw chicken in the location he or she is responsible for is not a big deal to him. Trust me though if tomorrow my husband is ill it will become a big deal because I will be filing a law suit. If one of you corporate gentlemen could please handel this issue it would be fantastic. I would also like an apology on behalf of the organization for the sub-parr treatment and putting out food that could make someone seriously sick or even die...my e mail is KMO9795@hotmail.com if any of the heads of golden corral can pull themselfs away from their busy life for two seconds to shoot me an apology.

I was wondering if there would be any way to build a Golden Corral in the East Stroudsburg area of Pennsylvania, the closest one to us is in Lancaster. As I sit and read all the bad reviews, it saddens me, because any time we have gone to a Golden Corral it has been clean, and the staff have only been friendly.As far as taking pics of fat women, let them take pics of me all they want, at least they will leave everyone else alone.

In 2009 i was a manager for your store which is located in pompano bch florida in that time i was go to the other store in tamarrac florida, while i was working i heard the owner saying that he hated white Americans and also hate white American veterans ,so i took the liberty of putting it on twitter and facebook and you tube i hope thats ok

I recently quit the Golden Corral because it was pure insanity! Management would take pictures of the overweight customers (only women) and walk around to the servers making fun of them. The sexual talk between Management and co-workers was unbearable. They didn't allow us to provide great customer service because we had to flip plates and stock them, sort silverware and stock it, clean restrooms when customers would smear fecal matter on the walls and vomit either from over eating or tainted food. Management and co workers would go out in the parking lot and smoke marijuana and drink alcohol and then come back in and act crazy. Poor management equals disaster. No job is worth selling your soul to the devil. Money was ok and schedule was flexible but you have to be "in" with management in order to get the best section (near the door) if not they would shove you in the back of the restarant where on certain days no one would sit. Oh and practically everyone is on welfare there because they don't make you work on the clock or claim all your tips. Good luck!

Looked at location for closest golden corral, map showed one 35 miles away in Muscatine, Iowa. Got news for you idiots at corporation, that resturant has been closed for years. Free food for vets on Nov 14. I wouldnt eat at one of thier pig pens, free or not, after reading the horrible reviews here. I am going to write to the service organizations I belong , the VFW, American Legion, and the DVA and let them know about this site and suggest we separate ourselves from the Golden Corral.

I've been reading comments, and there seems to be a common thread, your managers treat employees like crap. I've also checked all web sites,and there's no way to talk to labor relations.I guess employees have no recourse.My wife works for Golden Corral and has come home many nights in tears.She's a hard working middle aged woman with over a years experience,and needs this job,but lately we wonder if it's worth it.The food they serve is really good,but there is no rating system low enough for working conditions. Is there anyone at corporate listening ?

The wife and I had lunch today at the Golden Corral in North Richland Hills Texas store no.744 and the food was great.The pot roast was awesome mac&cheese best i ever had baked fish wonderful and so was all the stuff I had,I think I could have eaten a dozen of those yeast rolls.The workers were friendly and effecient I also thought the store was clean and orderly.I will definatly be back.

My husband and I use to go to the Golden Corral years ago here in Wichita,KS. We decided to go again giving them a second chance. Of course it was under new management as it had been at least 3-4 years. We were very dissapointed once again. It seemed they had plenty of staff however going through the line we stepped in food and the food trays were set out so since they were not covered people just fumbled through them, very unsanitary. We noticed tables were not cleaned off around us and all in all the place looked dirty as did the staff. We know we can go to any place as Wichita takes pride in their many restrauants that serve quality food and clean atmosphere. I think the health department needs to go out and do an on the spot inspection. It's the one on the west side of town. Instead of "Golden" it should be called the "Dirty" Corral. We are never going back!!!!

I went went to Golden Corral on Roxboro Rd in Durham,NC again. Once again @ lunch time, they didn't have fried chicken ready I then went Golden Corral in Roxboro,NC & they didn't have fried chicken ready. We are eating in the johnson city tn golden corral and while we are sitting here eating our food a ROACH crawls up the wall so discreetly we told the manager and he looked at us like we were crazy OMG needless to say we will never be back!!! DON'T EAT THERE

I've been working at the Golden Corral in Fargo ND for a little over a month now. Sense then I have seen many employees come and go. Most of our employees don't when their scheduled cause the schedule keeps changing, so I work long hours there to help out and sometimes I come in on my days off. I don't leave there until I feel satisfied that everything is in order. In the mornings I come in a hour early cause the managers are letting the employees go with out finishing their work. I myself have worked a few managing positions and it has never been accatpable to tell employees they don't have to show up for work and they don't have to find a replacement. My major problem is with my front end manager Mike, after doing a few partys where I should have received comishion my tips were with held cause I wasn't one of the hot servers, and at night he goes outside to get high with a few of our employees. Another problem I have is with my district manager John. He doesn't like me for reasons I don't know. One day I asked him if I could borrow a tot to bus a party room, he said that was fine, the next thing I know a meeting was called and he said we servers aren't allowed to use the tots to which he called me out as an example and said I was defying his orders. Another incident john stopped me and asked me to pick up some mushrooms on the floor, I didn't have a rag on me and I asked to borrow the broom and dust pan he had to which he said no, so I stopped another employee and told them about it because they had a broom and dust pan as well, john then yelled at me in the front of whole store. And today I started work alittle before 10am and was scheduled till 4pm I was cut around noon for reason, other employees that had been there sense 7am and were sick, they all agreed that I was the only one with a clean section and that I was the only one keeping up on stock so I deserved to stay, but John claimed I had given him attitude even though I hadn't spoken to him all day. I like my job but I don't like my managers and there is no called for reason for this behavior. Please help otherwise I may walk.

My family and I(a party of three) visited the Golden Corral # 2606 in Clinton Township,Michigan on Friday, 9/02. After paying for our meal, we waited in line to be seated for over 30 minutes. We arrived at 3:30 and it was after 4 before we could get a seat. No one shared with us that there might be a bit of a wait before our money was so eagerly taken. We witnessed food lines where the customers waited over 20 minutes to get seafood and steaks. There was standing room only in that restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager, Dan Kirk. I expressed my concerns to him and he told me he would give me the website to address my concerns. After watching him stand over in a corner talking to another employee, I noticed he was totally disregarding me and my concerns with the restaurant. I approached him to get the info he promised to give me, when he asked me to find another restaurant where I could eat. I quickly asked to have my money returned and he proceeded to attempt to belittle me in front of the other customer. I shared with him that I would report his handling me the way that he did and he quickly retorted with the fact that the complaint would only come back to him as lf my concerns would go no where! Mr. Dan Kirk is a very obnoxious, degrading, narrow minded man whose presence in that restaurant wreaks of the same. To make matters worse, he and his staff stood at the entrance and laughed at us as we left the restaurant. I am telling everyone I know not to eat in that Golden Corral on Hall Rd. in Clinton Township, Michigan. In fact, my family and I went to a nearby Logan Steakhouse and the food was superb and so was the service. I understand it is the only Golden Corral in that area and with the attitude of that management, the demise of that restaurant is inevitable. I shudder to think what his future holds since it is a known principle that whatever you sow you surely get back! There are too many good quality restaurants in the area to be subjected to such foolish behavior from of all persons "Management"

We ate dinner at the Golden Gorral in Bedford Indiana on 09-02-11 We had a terrible experience. I had a chicken thigh and when I went to bite into it blood squirted out of it onto my face. I told the waitress about it and she said she was sorry and would report it to the manager. Then as my Husband wsa eating his steak, He removed a long hair out of it. Again we told the waitress and she said she would let management know and that she was sorry. Finally after 30 minutes and no one coming over from management to talk to us, my Husband had to go chase the manager down. What a joke, had te nastiest attitude ever and was not one bit concerned. All he said wash Im Sorry. Didnt bother to go see that his cook was not wearing a hair net or do anything to make sure he put one on. We are senior citizens and dont get out a lot so we were looking forward to dinner there. We will NEVER visit another Golden Corral again.

WE LIVE IN GASTOINA N.C. AND WE WENT TO GOLDEN CORRALL AND MY WHOLE FAMILY GOT SICK. NOW SON SAID AAH MA, MAYBE WE CAUGHT THE 24 HOUR BUG. I SAID 24 HOUR BUG MY FOOT. SO WE RETURNED A MONTH LATER WHICH WAS THIS WEEK. THE CORN ON THE COB WAS SO OLD IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS OUT FOR ABOUT 12 HOURS THE MEAT LOAF WAS SO DRY IT WAS A SHAME NOW THE COMMERICAL THEY ARE RUNNING ABOUT THE SEAFOOD MAN KICK ROCKS IT TAKES THEM FOR EVER TO WAITE ON YOU THEN THE SHRIMP TASTE LIKE RUBBER. YOU CAN ASK FOR A WELL DONE PIECE OF STEAK DON'T CUT IT BECAUSE IT'S RAW. YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR THE CORNBREAD, THE WATERMELON, EGG THAT'S NOT FROZEN, HOT CHICKEN, FRESH LETTUCE, I DON'T THINK SO!!! THEN THEY ACT LIKE THEY CAN'T SPEAKA NOAH ENGILISHA YEAH RIGHT!!! OH I CAN SPEAKA THEIR LANGUAGE AND I DON'T EVEN WANT TO POST WHAT THEY SAID. I WANTED TO JUMP OVER THAT COUNTER.BUT, JUST SPOKE RIGHT BACK. IF YOU COULD HAVE SEEN HIS FACE. THEN THE MANAGER HE WAS JUST AS BAD AS THE SERVERS. BUT, WHY DO THEY HAVE THE OTHER SERVERS FOR WHAT DO THEY BRING YOU A REFILL ON YOUR DRINK. COME ON NOW. BUT, THE WAITERS WE HAD THAT DAY WERE GREAT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MANANGER FOR REAL.. I travel a lot for work. I have eaten in a number of nice golden corral's. I recently ate at the golden corral in Grand Jct. Colorado. What a dump. Dirty tables, dirty behind the food service counter, food that looked like it haden't been changed in a while. The timers or thermometers, not sure what they were,they were in the food prep area, and they were discusting. They looked like they had never been cleaned. They had grease and hand grime on them. The steak that I forced myself to get since other stuff wasn't very apealing was old and tuff. Even getting it rare didn't help. Couldn't finish the first bit of steak so thought that there would have been fresh on the grill. They were still cooking the old stuff. I now live there and I will not eat there again. And may not chance eating at another.

I had visited your restaurant located in Smithfield, NC First I tried the steak. The first piece I was given was Raw and I could not eat it. So I asked for another piece. The second piece was very over cooked. So after two tries I gave up on the steak. So I tried the lasagna and a meatball and they both taste so horrible I could not eat it. Then I tried what appeared to be a beef patti and some seasoned rice. The beef patti was terrible and the rice was cold. So I decided it was best for me not to try anything else because I was afraid I would get sick. All the food taste horrible and it was very poor quality. This was the worst experience I ever had in your restaurant

My husband and I eat at the Hermitage TN Golden Corral a couple times a month. Usually it is pretty good but it is typical for it to be " barely OK" from time to time. The last few times we have been there the food was not worth eating even if it had been free let alone having to pay for it. The food bars were dirty, the sweets were terrible, the dishes and silver nasty. You had to look thru the pile to find a clean set to use and then not sure if you should. The bread pudding which is always a favorite was brown rubber. The steak was 1 big piece of raw fat. The baked potato was so old it was yellow inside and cold. Salad bar was so nasty I could not believe it. There was food in the floor, ice cream all over the counter with an out of order sign in front of it. A used dirty plate sitting on the counter by the bread as you went into the kitchen I could go on and on but one thing is for sure, I won't go back. I did ask the waitress if the manager , preferrably the owner was there. She said a the owner had been there earlier but he wasn't in the store real often. I CAN NOT believe he could allow this to happen. I know how good it can be and to see it like this was very sad. She said well I can't say anything "I just work here". I believe if the owner does't care enough to see that his restraunt is doing well then why should the employees. I have been to the Pittsburg PA store near the mall many times, usually at lunch time and it is always CLEAN, food is hot and tastes great. The employees are nice and they act like they are glad to be working there. I saw a lady there who I guess was the manager, hugging and talking with the old folks when they come in. It was good to see someone so friendly and kind to the customers and making sure they were able to get what they needed. Maybe Golden Corral corporate and all the other managers need to take some lessons from their employees at that store in Pittsburg. Whatever they are doing is certainly the best in my book. Why can't they all be like that?
