Well first off I don't even rate GM as a 1 star. Maybe -1.. I have a 1999 Sierra that I can't get the spare tire off of This is a known flaw by GM and they came out with a flex tool to give to the people that could not remove their tire. They will "give" me one for $40.00. They want me to pay for their mistake! Buy a FORD! GM is terrible!!! They DO NOT CARE about their customers!
I recently got rid of my 2003 trailblazer due to many many things going wrong with it. First It was the instrument cluster to the tube of $540. When I was told my car was done they sai but. To say I wasnt happy was an understatement. They said the new one they had put in wasn't working right and anew had to be ordered. I then went out to my car turned it on and there was nothing on the read out ie mileage park drive etc. I walked back inside and informed the gentleman at the desk what was wrong and his answer was the tech didn't tell me that. I was now pissed they knew I was waiting and no one ever came out to see what I wanted done. Fours hours later I left the dealer and was back to have the new one put in. The gm customer service was of no help and didnt seem to care. The customer service was the worse I've ever received. This was the first Chevy I bought and it's going to be my last do not buy any cars from gm
WHEN I ORIGINALLY BOUGHT OUR 2011 EQUINOX THE STICKER IN THE WINDOW STATED 22MPG TO 32MPG AND THIS WAS A DETERMINING FACTOR IN BUYING THE CAR DUE TO THE GAS PRICES GOING UP. I CALLED GM AND TOLD THEM THAT NO MATTER HOW I DRIVE MY VEHICLE IT IS ONLY GETTING 19MPG TO 22MPG. I TOLD THEM THAT IF YOU PULL UP CAR SITES AND CHECK THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THIS VEHICLE THE SITES I HAVE WENT TO HAVE REVISED THE MPG TO 16 TO 19 IN THE CITY AND 22 TO 32 ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT IF THIS HAD BEEN ON THE STICKER AT THE TIME OF MY PURCHASE I WOULD NOT HAVE SELECTED THIS VEHICLE. ALL FIVE PEOPLE THAT I TALKED TO AT GM READ FROM THE SAME SCRIPT THAT EPA IS JUST AN ESTIMATE AND YOUR CAR IS RUNNING THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED TO RUN AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. SO I ASKED GM TO BUY THE CAR BACK, GIVE ME ANOTHER THAT GETS THE MILAGE THE VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO GET. ANSWER: YOU BOUGHT IT, LIVE WITH IT, POUND SAND. THE IGNORANCE AND LACK OF EMPATHY SHOWN TO ME AFTER I HAVE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY TO PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE, FALSELY ADVERTISED, AFTER MY TAX DOLLARS KEPT GM COMPANY AFLOAT IS BEYOND WORDS. LITTLE GUY DOESN'T WIN, CLASS ACTION?
I am giving gm motors a 1 if i could give them a 0 I would. I bought a 2012 gmc terrain back in the summer of 2011. After paying 27,000 cash for my vehicle I drive it off the lot and it breaks down on me. within 24 hrs they went and got me another vehicle which was the exact same as my last one. After driving my brand new vehicle for 3000 miles in starts stalling on me and the check engine light comes on. After a year long of dealing with this and getting tow trucks after it breaks down they only want to offer me a silly couple thousand dollars. I hate to say it but these people are a joke. I guess when somebody runs over me after my car stalling out then maybe they will listen. I just called the executive office and they can't help me eihter. SO point blank do not ever buy a gm motor vehicle. i am telling everybody I see to not buy these vehicles. The service is awful and their customer sevice people are not there to help you. They make your situation worse. thanks!
RECALL THE DANG 2009 HHR flex fuel,,, key gets stuck in the on -running - position ..and cant be turned off !!!!!! if that happens in an accident PEOPLE MAY DIE !!!!!!!!! PLEASE EVERYONE TELL THEM !!! PLEASE HELP
It first began in 2007-2008, i noticed when sitting at a light a knocking sound by the gas tank. I reported it to the ferman- chevrolet dealership on adamo drive in tampa. The dealership claim that there was nothing wrong with my car. My car has 77,508 miles on it at this time, I've had a new engine and a new transmission put in my car.I still have the knocking sound by the gas tank,on December 21, 2011 i took my car for the engine light stayed on for a few days. the dealership wants to charge me 400.00 dollars for labor to take my fuel pump down and pinpoint where the leak is coming from.My car is still under waranty,, i should not have to pay for anything if my car is still under the 100,000 mile warranty. Chevrolet -general motors suck..My engine light stays on constantly.
I purchased a C Chevy Trailblazer with a Straight 6 in it in August 2010! It has less than 98,000 miles on it and I paid cash for it at Mathews Dodge in Marion Ohio! I have had the oil changed at least 4 times and it checked out also! Well I just got the rotors and brakes changed and a caliber replaced. Any way after that I noticed an oil leak and a noise in the front end! When I took it to my mechanic and he said that the water pump went out and put a hole in my oil pan cover and a hole in my engine block! If there is anyway if you can help me I would appreciate it! First problem I’ve picked up after 2 weeks driving, was windscreen that ckracked across and after carefull examination no one couldn’t find any traces of impact from the rock. GM “KEY” in Kempton park refused to fix the windscreen.It cost me 4000 rand to replace it. After a while I’ve found chips and dents on car body carefully covered with white paint/But it was too late to conplane. In 2011 December I took my car to service centre” Barloworld GM Zambezi” and asked them to check the vehicle,just to make sure that everything is fine.They call it holyday check.I wanted to drive to Cape-town that time. Three days ago during normall wheel alignment procedure at “Tiger wheel and tyres” at Zambezi drive Petoria I’been told that my car has factory fault and they can’not adjust my rear tyres witout extra cost,They asked fro 500 rand to fix it. I asked Barloworld GM Zambezi drive why no one attended the problem during Christmas check up ?and why I must pay additional cost to fix FAULTS IN DEZIGN of your cars.They turned me away after looking for my car few minutes. I had no choice just to pay for adjusting my car to be able to drive normally..... the car is pretty dont get me wrong but worst car ive ever owned i will never go to general motors again i will be going foriegn from now on i already put over 3000$ into this truck with under 100k on it its absolutley unaccaptable and the dont want to pay for anything even though it is there problem this vehicle has more recall problems than any other car on the road they need to cut a check to anyone that owns it and let them take all the POS off the road

i bought a 2003 pontaic aztec new in 2003 from patriat pontaic in killeen tx,i had no trouble until a week ago whe the car stopped on the interstate while taking my wife to the hospital in temple tx, here is the problem, the securty light on the instrument panel came on and the car died,also check engine,abs system came on,I had it toed to the dealer in killeen tx,the service manager said the ignation switch was bad so they replaced it,then he said the instrument cluster was inop,the messed with it and said the instrument cluster was good,but the car starts but shut right off, still no car,this is almost 2 weeks, in the mean time they work on other cars and take mine in and out of the shop instead of fixing it while it is in the shop.i went to the dealer and the mechanic that was assigned to fix my car was working on a cadiallic,are the going to charge me fixing my car while working on anothe person car,when will they get around fixing my car
I purchased a 2011 Chevy Equinox and it has not been a positive experience I have had issues with the transmissions and poor customer service. I took the car in 3 times for this issue (this would include this time) and rather than do what would be a correct step, which would be to replace the transmission I was told that it had to be repaired because it is under warranty. The vehicle has approximately 14,700 miles on it, and this problem was reported at the first serivice. Not good. I will not puchase another one but I am going to get rid of this one this year. I am so disappointed in this product, when I purchased the vehicle everyone was all smiles but not now, so when I get back in town I will deal with the vehicle and work to get rid of it. I have only included a brief summary of what happened to me, but I can honestly say enough
Quantrell Cadillac in Lexington, KY is known as a high-end dealership. Because of this I put a little too much trust in them when I purchased my car from them last year. I found out after the purchase that the car needed $3000 in repairs. And regrettably, I decided to get these repairs at Quantrell. I was promised my car would be ready in one week. When that week was up with no call from them I called the service department and was told that the mechanic working on my car had been pulled off that onto another project. Basically, I felt like they were saying I wasn't a priority to them. The next day when the car wasn't ready, I was given some story about the mechanic having personal problems. All they did was take the engine out of my car, leaving me stuck with them until they decided to repair it. After two weeks when it was repaired, I had a little difficulty being waited on when I arrived to pick my car up. I had to stand there and wait while employees looked at me but didn't offer help. Bottom line: Do not trust this dealership under any circumstance.
do not buy a chevey cruse 1500 miles auto gear box gone yes is coverd by warrenty but not my wages as i am a taxi driver very let down even boot catch gone gm dont want to know you customer care nil all you get is a very rude lady on the other end of the phone leave well alone very dissapointed and let down
I bought a Chevy Malibu 2002. It was used. It had 42 thousand miles on it. I am a single mom of 2 and thought that the car would nice and dependable. 14 days after I got it I was stranded. Come to find out it was the ignition col. I also have a problem with the cooling fans not working and the ac dont work. I talked to the dealer and he said it was common in chevys and that they have electrical problems. I so wish I would have known about this before i got this car because I would have left it on the lot and wen to ford. My question is to Chevy is why have they not recalled the cars with this problem. I have talked to several people with the same year and have the same problems. I can not wait till I can get a different car that I can feel safe in. This one I sure cant. So save your money and dont buy a Chevy.
The last time I saw my car it was three months ago. It is currently at the Chapman, Chevrolet dealership in Philadelphia. It has under 50 thousand miles on it. Here is the 3 month saga: My engine light came on in my Saturn. I took it to my local mechanic. He told me that the car needed a catalytic converter and that part was under warranty and to take it to a GM dealer. The car was running rough so I took it to Chapman Chevrolet in Philadelphia which is the closest to me. Being honest, there was a week I had to find all my paperwork for the registration and insurance which I faxed to the dealership. They called me and asked me why I faxed all this info to them because they didn't have my car or my keys. I described my car and they said they searched the whole lot for my car and couldn't find it. So they lost my car. In a panic I drove to the dealership and parked...next to my car. It was 15 feet from the glass door of the dealership. Just where I left it. The only Saturn in the parking lot. I let them know where the car was. Each week I'd receive calls from the dealership. They couldn't figure out why the gas and oil were mixing. Each week it was a different story about WHY this was happening Finally they thought they had the problem pin pointed. They fixed the wiring and took the car out on the road. The engine blew. The car has under 50K miles on it. So we reached the point where they would have to remove the engine from the car. I cannot afford this and I was already racking up a bill for a car that wasn't being fixed. I don't have the money for another car and cannot afford to get a loan at the present time. Like a lot of people, I'm not making the money I made when I bought the Saturn. The car doesn't have a lien and I have the title. So I contacted GM and told them the story. GM told the dealership to remove the engine. I have been talking to GM twice a week and they have been keeping me updated. I really hoped they would help me out. This problem isn't my fault. There is a serious defect in this car and no one knows what it is. GM called me today and told me that I wouldn't get any financial compensation and they would contact the District Manager of the area for me. So GM has wiped their hands of me and I'm back to where I was 3 months ago. I have a giant low-mileage paperweight. I just wanted my car fixed. I wasn't asking for the moon and stars. GM seems to know about the ION's engine defects. They don't want to take responsibility. Everyone involved tells me that 'This shouldn't be happening' but no one wants to help me. They say the car is out of warranty. I asked them if it is okay that one of the engine's in one of their car's isn't expected to last to 50 thousand miles. They keep quoting me that the car is out of warranty and that it is a 2004. I'm at the end of my rope at this point and would appreciate any help you can give me. I'm sorry this is such a long story. This has been going on for 3 (three) months now and I was really hoping GM would come through for me. Today, 4/23/2012. GM tells me they are working with John at Chapman (the people who lost my car in their lot), to work up a bill for the car. I don't feel I should pay a bill. This is GM's fault not mine. No one can tell me why the problem happened to begin with. GM wants to dodge any responsibility. I'm contacting every consumer advocate I can. I'm desperate. I'm on a day to day basis at my job. I need help. I don't have a lot of money. I worked hard to pay my car off
I bought a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu for my daughter to go to college. I purchased it from Pohanka in Chantilly Virginia. This car is fully loaded and I paid $28,000.00 for it. Yesterday my daughter's tire blew out and bent the rim. She was by herself on a ramp an hour away from home. LUCKLY NOT AT COLLEGE. She was hysterical. I was at work so my husband had to go to her. When he got there he could not find a spare tire in the car. UNBELIEVABLE. I called the dealership, because I was so angry. I was told that the the tire was a delete. Let me tell you, I am so disappointed with Chevrolet. Not one time did the salesman tell me in any conversation that there was no tire or the dealership. I spoke to the manager and was told "you have road side assistance". ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE....where is the spare tire. This is my daughter, in a strange place, night time, and no spare tire. The money that I spent for this car and no spare tire. I cannot express how upset I am with Chevrolet. This is my first time I have purchased a Chevrolet and it will be my last. I suggest to anyone not to. Where is the customer service here. When I called the dealership and spoke to the manager, he said who was your salesperson because I will have him fired!!!! FIRED I don't want FIRED I want safety.......where is SAFETY. You have my daughter driving a vehicle that I purchased because of safety features and I wasn't told there wouldn't be no spare tire. Do you think I would of 1. purchased it or 2. I would of purchased a spare before I left. What is going on here. I would of not got a moon roof, I would have purchased a spare tire.
