I have owned gms for 20 yrs. I have a 2005 2500hd silverado that get 9 miles to gallon. So when I hear the buy a used car at a new car store I jumped to buy a cheap used car to help on gas saving. So I bought a Saturn Vue 4cly 2004 in 2009. It had low miles and the gm dealer gave me a bumper to bumper warrenty for $1800. I had real life threating problems with this car after 6mts. The trans stopped. I was turning left on a snowy day onto a 4 lane road and the trans stopped and i almost got run over but it took off just in time thank god. Brought into saturn dealer 17 times. they said it was computer mod. the first 4 times. After that i took it to 7 more dealers and no one would fix it. Finally a took it to a friends work at chevy store they got there regional rep involved and they said it a VTI trans. I looked it up and at the time GM was being sued but the finall settlement was 2 days after they declaired bankrupcy. So anyone(150,000 cars) that didnt have gmpp got stuck holding the bag. So I have 2 trans put in under warrenty. But here is the kicker. I had to argue and get 2 and 3rd parties that I had to pay for to get gm to talk to me. So now they do not have new trans and they want to put remanufactued trans in or $5000 by back. Well my carfax shows machical problems and is worth nothing on a trade in because of it and the $5000 buy back is only for a new car!!!! Here is were it gets upsetting!!!! there is a $2000 trade in allowance for the truck I was but since I am getting buy back not trade in i LOOSE OUT ON $2000. Why would anyone by a gm car in the lifetime after that bulletin. So I called the 800 customer service line and got a manager name Rachel at 866-790-5700 ext 21026 and she told me I was getting owner loyality certificate for $5000 and I can trade my car in. So I call sunrise chevy in glendale hts il and tell them im coming in for trade eval. And the Matt Dickerson said that not what her hear so I cant come in without something in writting. I call Rachell back at 5:05pm nad her message said she is in till 5:30. So I get no call back. I ask Matt to have manager call me back and I got no call back for him either. So I called on Friday because I owm a small business and need a car for weekend event and i cant deal with this any. So long story short. Sunrise Chevy owner called today and I told him my side of story and it didnt go any where. His employees told one story and told another and I lost alot of money due to the fact they locked my car up in a lot when all they we going to do is appraise it. In my opinion as a business owner and an angry tax payer that feels we bailed GM out only to be treated poorly and lied to by GM. I also spent 3 hours in total asking for Rachel call that was recorded to be pulled and review to prove GM employee Lied no one at this number or any other GM as done so and it over 72 hours since my request has been made. So I feel like the bailout money was a waste when I like me I own 2 gm cars and will never do business with them again and am trading both in for other mfg. They will not be in business long because i cant be the only 20 yrs+ loyal customer that finally had enought!!!! Enought is enought!!! i will lobby to make sure GM never get any of my tax dollars to bail them out!!!!!!

I just bought a new Chevy Colorado extended cab from Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe, AZ. I love the truck and hope it will bring me many years and miles of enjoyment. I do have a dispute with the dealer though, because they told me I couldn't apply my GM military discount to the sale of a Colorado extended cab, as it was not on their list. I showed them my email announcement from GM that I was entitled to the discount, which on another web page says it's $2000, but the dealer refused to include it in the sale arrangement. I did receive a $2000 GM rebate, and $1000 AARP rebate. The next day I called Chevrolet's customer support line. They told me the dispute needed to be discussed with the dealer, as it was their vehicle. I talked to the dealer and got nowhere. Another sales manager at the dealer was supposed to call me today; that call never came. I told Chevrolet's customer support rep today this isn't just about the dealer, it's about the GM web page that says I'm entitled to a discount, which now she says is $890, not $2000, as indicated on the web pages. What's it going to take to get this wrong corrected, or at least explained to me why I'm not getting a military discount off my negotiated price. It's really ruined what should have been a good shopping experience. Need some guidance of what to do.

I own a 2008 saturn outlook. i have under 57000 miles on it and already had a transmission replaced and now just received a phone call that it is ready for me to pick up after a new engine was put in. Talk about problems. Now they tell me the suspension is no good but not covered under the warranty. Hopefully when i call GM they will have some answers for me and i wont have to pay for suspension for all the inconveinence i am going thru.

Please read if you have any concern for human life. My nightmare experience with a General motors product occurred on: 08/18/2011 causing over hundreds and thousands of dollars in damages. Property loss over $50,000...and in pain and suffering in the thousands skin burns,back pain,head injuries and mental pains. ORIGIN: This fire originated in the engine compartment of a product in a Chevrolet Camaro....... CAUSE: The cause of this fire is an electrical failure in the circuit wiring to cooling fans for the radiator. FINDINGS: On September 19,2011 (3) investagtors met with me (Mr. Glenn Mitchell), the insured and at the loss location (where the car is burned out) to conduct an origin and cause investigation. Interview with Mitchell revealed he had just returnedhome after going to the grogery store when he discovered the car was on fire. I had been home approximately 15 minutes when the fire occurred.I indicated I had no recent problems with the vehicle and didn't notice anything unusual as I was driving home. I also indicated I had no recent work done on the vehicle. Exterior examination revealed smoke and heat petterns on the left side of the gerage door indicating the area of origin of the fire was the side of the garage the Camaro was parked in. Interior examination revealed fire patterns in the garage indicating the fire originated in the engine compartment of the Camaro. Examinaton of the Camaro revealed burn patterns on the hood indicating the fire originated on the driver's side. READ:{Injuries to back,neck and burns on hands and arms and legs}: In the engine compartment there was extensive fire damage to the ELECTRICAL DISTRIDUTION BLOCK. The relays and wiring to the cooling fans were very heavily damaged and appeared to be the IGNITION source of the fire. These fans continue to run after the engine is turned off until the temperature of the cooling sytem drops which makes this one of the only circuits in the general area of origin that is energized with the ignition SWITCH in the off position. The time factor between the time the vehicle was parked and the fire being discovered is consistent with the fan circuit failing and causing the fire. The only other possibility the could not be ruled out was fluid leak in the engine compartment that could have been ignited by the heat of the exhaust manifold. EVIDENCE COLLECTED: PHOTOS, BURN VEHICLE PARTS[SAVED] IF THIS MATTER HAVE TO GO TO COURT I will seek $10,000,000.00 in damages...Look on Faceback for photos...see: tweet CONCLUSION: Based on the evidence found and information from the Mr. Mitchell during the scene investigation it is the opinion of this investigator that this fire most probably was a result of an ELECTRICAL FAILURE in the FAN CIRCUIT WIRING of the CAMARO. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I bought a brand new 2011 Equinox with tons of extras in Nov 2010. Have had NOTHING but problems out of if since I bought it. I could list them all, but it would take all day. I could make a collage of all of the rental/loaner cars I have been in in the year and a half that I have owned it b/c it's constantly in the shop. Yet it's always returned to me b/c there is "nothing wrong with it". At least this is what the dealer says after driving it for a whole 2 days ... >:( ... Have been around and AROUND with both the dealer AND GM. GM's customer service is SICKENING!!!! Very rude woman that I have been dealing with named Anna. It seems since no one can find "anything" wrong with my brand new car then they aren't going to do anything about it. Which leaves me with a ticking time bomb instead of a reliable car. I will be seeking legal help in addition to going widespread to the news and media about how GM treats the people who bailed them out. Disgusting.

My wife and I went into a Chevrolet dealership on Monday looking to buy a car. We test drove one we liked and sat down to do the paperwork. My mother is signing on as the primary for the loan and my wife will be the co-signer. My wife is from brasil and after giving them her green card, her pa id, her employment info and her social security number our sales rep goes to speak the the finance manager only to come back and tell us the finance manager doesn't think we will be able to get the car because my wife is from a different country. Can we say racism????? Now I have been trying to contact gm direct and no one seems to care. They keep telling me someone will be in contact with me in 24 hours. Each day since I brought this to their attention they call within 24 hours to tell me they will contact with me with more information within 24 hours. Now apparently I will hear from them on monday, but I'm not holding my breath. This whole situation is awful and should never have happen, but clearly gm doesnt care how their customers are treated.

I am having a lot of issues with this chevy cobalt. They are not new issues but when I take it to the dealership everyone there seems to have no idea what I am talking about????? Since I have owned the car I have had a problem with the locks as I am driving along constantly locking and unlocking, the lights on the dashboard work when they feel like it, the air conditioning constantly leaks (now it stopped working altogether), the steering wheel is very hard to turn( the recall to have it fixed only made the steering worse), and now my Biggest Concern is every time it rains or gets hot outside the engine powers down and the car starts shaking violently. I made several trips to various dealerships and paid to have things on the car fixed like the air conditioning for example and its still not right. Last year when I went to see why the engine kept powering down ( $129.00 just to look at it) I was told after six or seven hours they could not find anything and sent me on my way. This is absolutely crazy. These are serious concerns of mine. This is my second GM vehicle and I don't understand why Gm can't stand behind the product that they put on the streets for consumers. I have had most of these problems for SIX years and I have only owned the car for six years which would mean that this car was probably a lemon from the start. As a consumer I don't deserve to have gone through the issues I have with this car and I am shocked every time I see an advertisement for a COBALT because I was duped into believing that after my good experience with the chevy metro that this too would be a great purchase. Needless to say, I want my next experience with a car to be a lot less frustrating so GM will probably be at the bottom of my list. And as far as all of these invisible problems that your mechanics can't seem to see or don't want to see because they may all end up factory defects, I think it is really sad that you would be willing to sell a bad product to a consumer and not even care how it affects the people that are sitting on the the side of the road and can't get home to their families (I have seen a lot of cobalts on the side of the road). I would just like to know what happened to the integrity of this company, a company known for presenting a good product, a product people could believe in. I would liked to have been able to drive my car at night, in the rain or even when it's hot outside without worrying about if i'm going to make it home or not safely. And I won' even speak on how rude and unattentive the people you have working in these dealerships can be it's really unbelievable. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way!!!!! But I guess since I am just one of the many people that spend their hard earned money making payments on cars that should have never been sold in the condition that they were that these issues will remain and not be made priority by GENERAL MOTORS!!

I won a 2007 Pontiac torrent and my daughter owns a 2006 Pontiac torrent. Both of our vehicles have had the same issue. The sunroof leaks when it rains because the rubber casing around the sunroof was not properly installed,so several hundred dollars later it is now fixed by an independent company. I just got off the phone with a call center for GM out of Manilla who advised me he couldn't help me. REALLY? All I want is for GM to post a recall or issue a letter to consumers who own Pontiac torrents to have there sunroofs checked for possible leakage. The guy at the call center had no interest in what I had o say and sounded like he was reading from script. Thanks GM for nothing.

my wife and i bought a gmc terrain in january of 2012. we bought it at vally gmc and buick. in hastings minnesota. we paid 28,000 and it feels like we bought a cadillac. it drives so nice. we have caught our selves driving 80 miles an hour. thought we were driving at 65 mph the drive was so smooth. it the best vehicle we have ever driven. i tell everyone. ran into a gentalman who had one and he said the same thing. best ride ever. let his brother in law drive it. and he immeadiatly went out and bought one. thank you so much for making such a fine vehicle. our salesman was justin siedschlag. he said we would love it and he was right. gm has really come a long way. keep up the good job. yours truely steve hanson. p.s. very satisfied customer.

I have the same problems that Chris Paugh has posted. My 02 Impala had BCM (body control module) problems, had to be replaced. Passlock Failure, had to replace Passlock Sensor. Hi lo combination switch for headlights, this is a big safety issue. Your headlights will go out when you switch to high beam!! Really safe? ISS stearing shaft noise and lower intake manifold gasket leaks! Its really a shame, because when it is running, the Impala is a smooth riding car, but so unreliable with electrical problems! GM just can't build a decent car anymore. Back in the 60's they were better!! Maybe they need to go back to the sraight 6 cyl and 2 speed powerglide transmission? I purchased a Japaneese made SUV and so far it has proven 100 times more reliable than my Chevy!

Why is every vehicle gm makes has an electrical problems?? It's always the engine light and so I take the truck to the dealership and they say that nothing is wrong.... The light is still on and its a 2010. This truck has no power at pulling up hill and my buddy has a ford that out pulls and hauled way more than my little Chevrolet could ever do. Get this we have the same size truck too. I sold that junkie Chevrolet and now I own a real work truck, I bought a big bad ford. The Chevrolet vehicles are for old people that don't drive or that don't do any pulling or hauling, cause they can't handle it. Save ur self the headache and never ever buy any thing made by general motors company or now government motors company!!!

I'm a loyal GM owner, I've owned almost every brand GM pumped out and i have never been more disappointed in truck in my whole life, the most exspensive truck & biggest piece of crap i ever bought! It had dents on it & blue spots on the wheels the day i got to wash it, which was not even 24hrs after i purchased it do to weather, 15k had to have a radiator, trans cooler lines, and trans put in. I hauled a 500lb four wheeler in it twice i mean REALLY! had to have the seat covers done twice because they were cracked and material was peeling off its backing, then the third brake lite was leaking stained my headliner, heat windsheild washer fluid almost burned it up, aligned 4 times before they wouldn't do it for free anymore,32k another trans & its drinking 3 quarts of oil between oil changes and it gets clumpy, there fix baffles to starve the heads of oil & tell me its because i didn't check it! my back up sensors never worked rite & would turn themselves off, it would knock like a freight train for 5 minutes till you'd go down the road " Thats normal" is what i was told, then to to top it off 1yr later i went & looked at an exact truck the sticker was $4700.00 more than what i paid for mine, What a crock! I've built chevy & GMC truck for 15 yrs & had a couple of them on the covers of national mags and outa all the old and beat up trucks i restored, the brand new one was the worst. And for my troubles the offer me $500 loyalty money, to spend $5000 more than i did the first time. i will NEVER,NEVER another new GM product!!!!! i'll stick to my older trucks that were made well, and all you GM employees that don't take pride in what you do quit or fake an injury to get your disability and scripts and sit at home!!!!

We bought an 06 trailblazer and in less than couple months from driving it off the lot had check engine light come on and our censor in our gas tank broke and we called the dealer and they did nothing. If I'm gonna spend 15,000 on a used car I shouldn't have this many problems right away. I'm so angry that I will never buy a Chevy again we are going back to foreign cars. I just can't believe you want money and want to sell cars but don't want to fix the problems people are having with them or make things right. very poor sevice!!

I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox I have had problems with it since i drove it off the lot. New Car first time owner and I don't understand how some of these mechanics that work at these dealer ship aren't honest up front. Don't they realize people can get hurt in these cars? I have taken mine for noise on the diffential and the now the power steering is get tight and engine light is on. I understand that this has been a defect from the start on all the Equinox and that when you least expect it, it will lock and/or steer to the right with no apparent warning causing accidents. Why don't you recall this defect and get it fixed. Last time I buy a Chevy which everyone used to be proud of. Why call corporate they don't call back!

I have been a chevrolet owner and also a collector for over 25 years,but after your companys poor customer assistance with my vehicle with less than 79,000 miles on it. Also even with one of your service bullitens on it for haveing porse head issues and possible intake gasket issues needing a engine with such low mileage for the year .I get offered Is a voucher to buy a new car from your excutive this is a insult when you cant even offer to fix the one there at the dealer.It s sad that I am going to sell all of my cars that because you cant honor your product.And with that said I have had one of them for over 25 years but that means nothing to a company like yours from the way this has been handled I can tell. I have three gm cars but,after my POOR customer service and help on this newer vehicle I will sell all of my gm products to support some who will honor there customer loyalty. And vehicles.I also will pass along the word to family who own well over 30 or more gm products,what kind of service to expect.

I have a 09 corvette z06 it's Had problems from the beginning... I had 17 issues with this car and GM will not fit them. Their techs destroyed my car they cut my console scratched my car up and they also cut wires under my hood.. They put acid under my hood and faded everything they also put acid on my headlights and faded those also..... I called GM and told them about it but they said I was stuck with it... I pay 77,0000$ cash for it and when I bought it the engine light came on before I made it home.... I have 34k on it now, it's sad how GM treat their customers. I have a problem with a dealer that is being dishonest with in trying to get a 2012 camaro zl-1 I ordered one through this dealer and he is now giving me the run-around about selling me the car. I will never buy a car from this dealer again and I had planned on buying a couple of new chevys in the next 3-4 years. I also bought a new 2011 chevy pickup from another dealer and in checking the contract I believe they oversold me things that I never received on my truck.

Well about 8 months ago i bought a 2007 chevrolet 1500 and is really nice it only has 49 thousand miles and one day no for no reasons it didnt give no signal at all that there were something wrong with it, it didnt want to start the angine no lights in side the truck turn on nathing on the truck it seen to work actually is just dead. 3 mechanic has seen the truck they didnt find any problem then we took the truck to the angency were we got the truck there mechanic were working 2 hours on it they run a dignostic on the truck same they coun't find the problem they don't want to help us i can' beleve that this happen. The only thing im thinking to do is find some legal advice couse this could we be a manufactur problem and it suck couse i really some help so please help me i dont want ro go to court couse of that.

Gm stopped making real cars back in the 70s. I have family members that work and drive gm products and they all make werid sounds and very unreliable. I've heard some of things that happen on the gm assembly line that scares me when I drive around gm drivers. Gm workers get so drunk at work, they put the empty whisky bottle in the door if the car. Sorry but I wish the government would of never bailed out gm, everything they make is junk. I buy Fords only and drive fords only its like they say built ford tough. :)

I have a 2006 HHR LT. Here are the things I love about my car. It is zippy, it saves me on gas. It's not all that uncomfortable. I wish I had a different color because there are a lot of pretty colors out there now. Most people didn't even know what kind of car it was when we first got it but that has all changed. I like the look of the car. Here are the problems that I don't like about my car. The thing to open the door on the driver side broke and we thought that shouldn't be that expensive to get fixed. Took it to the dealer and I was told around 400.00 to replace it. Guess what I can't aford that and I have never seen one break before on vehicles where it couldn't be fixed at a reasonible cost. Then a couple of months later I was taking my father in law to see my mother in law at a rehab center. He is 75 years old and bearly has the strengh to walk let alone open a door. Well he went to open the door and it broke. So both doors are broke. 800.00 to fix. I believe this needs to be a recall. This is a safety issue. We have to roll down our window to get out of the car. The other thing I have an issue is the power steering went out on my work today. I was glad I was close to work because things like that freak me out. I was on the freeway when it went out. Scared me to death. Found out there is a problem with the power steering and they are recalling some of them. My husband came started the car and it started working. Now does that sound right. If my problem is related to the cars they recalled I believe they should fix this. They will recall the center box in the HHR but not the door handles. Hum what is wrong with this picture.
