I bought a 2001 Cadillac De Ville. I purchased it because it was being sold at a nice price with low miles. $6,000 87k miles. Not to long after the purchase, It started to run hot, so I changed the water pump and thermostat. That was a temporary fix. Then came some hoses, and the coolant jug. Again the temporary fix. So then i replaced some hoses. They were gummed up with rust and sludge. I flushed out the heater core, for a 24 hour fix, but now im sure that its plugged again and so is the radiator. This was all just last year. I just found out yesterday that the DEXCOOL antifreeze eats away at the gaskets, causing overheating and also plugs up yor cooling system. Shouldn't GM do something about this problem, seeing how the government bailed them out of there little crisis. Im going back to becoming a FORD, Chrysler GUY. I never had problems with my FORD. Or my Chrysler Products.
I have owned a 2004 Tracker for the past 6 years.I have had very few issues with it , however the dealer I bought from talked me into buying this protection package which I thought lasted the life of the loan, however I was wrong, and at 95000 miles I had to replace the front axel at a cost of over $1000.00 to me. Now I have written to the company twice asking for some kind of compenstion, as I paid $1700.00 for the policy, never collected a dime on it, but because it was beyond the mileage restrictions, they would not even consider refunding me even half of my expense. Now I have owned many, many vehichles and never had a part like this go out. I am now going to send a letter to the corporate office to see if I can get any help from them. All I am asking for is a little compenstion for a policy that they profited from. Hope to get something back, but if not will go back to buying Jeeps, as they are better products and last longer. Thanks you
Present and future GMC truck owners particularly the GMC half ton 1500, has any one also had transmission problems ? My trans. went out, and I had it replaced...it went out within six months, I had it replaced again, and its going out again. I've talked to several mechanics (GM) certified, and they all said the same thing . the 4gl-- (model) is a defect. The clutch pacts on the automatic transmissions blow out. Unfortunately I have this transmission, its in an 2001 z-71 1500 sierra. make sure you check before you buy. perhaps go for a toyota?
THE GM DEALERSHIP IN CORBIN KY. I AM A 76 YR OLD WOMAN TRAVLING BY MY SELF AND HAD CAR TROUBLE AND WAS HAULED TO THE DEALERSHIP IN TO THE DEALERSHI IN CORBIN NAME IS FALLS , THEY WILL NOT EVEN TALK TO ME OR HELP ME UNTIL THEY GET ALL THEIR APPOINTMENTS DONE FOR THE DAY, I HAVE BEEN IN A MOTEL SINCE 9;30 ON SUNDAY AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE ABOUT 1 PM TODAY BEFORE THEY COULD SEND SOMEONE TO PICK ME UP AND TAKE ME TO THE GARAGE TO EVEN TALK TO SOMEONE. SO I THINK THAT A DEALERSHIP THAT IS THAT CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY SHOULD BE PUT ON NOTICE. HOPEFULLY PAEOPLE WILL TAKE NOTICE NOT TO BY FROM SOME ONE WHO DOESNT WANT TO HELP THE ELDERLY. I JUST WANTED THEM TO CHECK IT OUT AND TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG SO IF I HAVE TO LEAVE IT I CAN RENT A CAR AND GO HOME IN MICHIGAN. THAT WAS ALL I ASKED FOR , BUT NO THEY COULDN'T EVEN DO THAT. SO I HOPE EVERYONE WHO READS THIS WILL COMNSIDER THIS WHEN THEY GO TO BUY A VECHILE FROM THESE PEOPLE.
I just wanted to write a note letting you know how happy we've been with our 1998 Chevy Tahoe. It has 296,000 miles and is still kicken. We've done maintenance and taken care of it and not only does it run well but it looks pretty good too. People are always impressed when they see how many miles it has on it. Thanks, Shannon and Renee Brown

For all you GM owners, I have a 2006 HHr and a 2007 Silverado. First, my truck only has 17000 miles on it and I need new tires according to Gwatney Chevrolet because of lack of maintenance. I have all my paperwork on oil changes and tire rotation. GM, of course did nothing. My HHR has 40000 miles on it, gwatney Chevrolet put in a new battery and by coincidence , my radio dowsn't work properly. Again GM did nothing. Just FYI for all you Gwatney customers, beware of the sevice department and Gm.
Dear Customer Service and future Chevrolet buyers: I wish to lodge a complaint and to let other buyers know of the unexceptable service I have received with this company in regards to my 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche. I paid $50,000.00 for this truck. My transmission went out at 54,000 miles. I had my vehicle towed to your Woodhaven, Michigan Dealer (Rogers Chevrolet). Rogers Chevrolet did what they could to accomadate me. They had my vehicle for 9 days and called and said it was fixed. I was very glad as to the fact I was leaving to drive across country with my family. It was to my dismay and surprise, 750 miles later, in another state, that the problem had not been resolved. I called your 800 number for help. I was in an unfamiliar area and was told to take my car to Hamilton, Alabama Dealer (Fink Chevrolet). I did as as you told me and was treated very poorly. I was told by Fink that I would need to leave my vehicle for approximately 2 weeks for repairs. This was not an option as to the fact that I was on vacation with my family, did not have funds to rent a car, and would need to return to work at the end of a week. My phone number was left with Rogen (District Manager, Michigan). I expected Rogen to help me and guide me through this difficult time. The 1-800-222-1020 Hotline Numberealer also left a message with Rogen but were unable to reach him or have their phone call returned either. It has been several days, I have received no return call yet, and am still in another state with the thoughts of returning home to Michigan with my family in an unsafe vehicle. It is obvious to me and will be obvious to all people I come in contact with as well as The Better Business Bureau that "General Motors will take your money but will not honor their product with good service or correctable service".
General Motors came out a few months ago claiming they had payed back the American people for the bailout. Turned out to be a twisting of the facts and in fact they had not at all paid back the bailout money and the tax payers still hold 60% of the company. I saw an ad on TV last night for a real sharp looking Buick. At the end of the add they flashed a price of $27K plus. I noticed small sprint so ,I paused and rolled back the DVR to the small print part. It was then that I noticed the $27K price actually said "starting at" and the small print? LOL "as shown" $38,000 something. This company is a dishonest company that likes to obfuscate facts so as to mislead for their own corporate greed. They will do this again. Let's put them out of business in this country for good by not buying their products.
To whom it may concern; I own a 2003 Chevy Malibu with 80,000 miles current. I have always maintained my vehicle to the best of my ability. I have had many issues with this vehicle but one of the most frustrating ones at the moment is the "horn" issue. At around 50,000 miles the horn switch failed and the horn was stuck on. The only way to stop it was to pull the fuse. I had to have the entire steering module replaced just to have the problem corrected. I was only able to do this because I had bought an extended warranty beforehand. Now I have the same problem all over again! I cannot pass the state inspection because the horn is stuck on and there is no way of fixing this without once again replacing the steering center module (where the airbag is located). It's seems so UNFAIR that we consumers have to pay dearly for design flaws! I am not encouraged to buy ANY General Motors car in the near future and would never recommend others to do so. General Motors needs to think about the consumer more than it has in the past. I might have to sell or trade in my car simply because it will not pass inspection due to your design flaw.
i have a 2009 chevy tahoe with just under 13000 miles and it is already making a knocking noise in the engine when i start it up. i called the dealer and the mechanic told me that it was normal for the engine to knock.can you believe that a certified gm mecanic telling me its ok for the engine to make knocking noises on startup and they can last upto 5 minutes
To whom it may concern i bought a 2010 chevy camero in november from rydell automotive grp, at the 9,000 i reported hearing a small ticking sound in the engine and check engine light on and a ruff gear change. My camero sits in a rydell gargage the bearing in the engine fell apart and a GM rep is refusing to fix the damage engine, he states that its not covered in my warrenty. I did multply tours over seas and promise myself if i made it out of there that i would own that car. i'm reading all the post here and something needs to be done, i'm going to contact all media outlets to express my dispointment about GM handling of there everyday consumer and is this the image that GM wants to people to see.

I am an owner of a 2008 GMC Acadia which I purchased @ Pontiac GMC in Cerritos CA. I encounter a problem while my vehicle was under warranty. I took it in to the dealer they found no problem, they told me to bring it back if the problem persist. Unfortunatly by the time this problem returned my car was 200 miles over the warranty. The advisor there told me that he couldn't do anything about it and that any repair would have to be paid out of pocket. He sure was quick to give a starting price range just to inspect the vehicle. I took it to an independant auto shop and the advisor there was in disbelife that GMC a well known Corporation was unable to stand by their product because of 200 miles. He felt bad that I had to pay for this service that should have been covered by warranty specially when I come from a family of GMC vehicles. I hope that GM Corporation can compensate me for this inconvinience.
currie motors has the worst customer service to me after buying two cars from them a tahoe (2009-2011 chevy camero the customer service is reall bad i would never ever buy a car from them again they tried to switch a car with me telling me it was the car i test drive- and come to find out the car i test drove was a 2011- but put me in a 2010 and told me they asured that it was the car i test drove comes to find out they lied to me it was a 2011. they chenged it and charged me more, and i had put on after makerket wheels on it. they are so low they told me to drop the car off so they could change the wheels on it and pu them on the 2011 camero after they knew they were trying to fool me, i might be afican american but I aint no fool, and to top it off they took the wheek sensor off my after market wheels and did not leave them on my car and i had to pay them $350.00 to stwich my tires from the 2010 to the 2011, talk about a scam artist dealer salesman joe salinski of currie motors in forrest park illinois. i would never recommend this dealer to any one, poor work ethics and to the public i will do my best to get this to the corperate off regarding this matter. make me want to say chevy is not worth driveing I rate this dealer an F , and i really cant wait to get the servey.
I have had three Saturn SL 1's and have loved them alot! None have been brand new and even then they ran great. I have had no problems with any, nor have I had problems with the Saturn L200 I have now. Again, another used car. This car has 154,000 miles on it and I know I will be just as pleased with it. I cannot see how the Saturn Line will be discontinued. There aren't enough anywhere to buy. I had to look on the internet to find mine! People keep them for a long time. I love them! My last SL1 I got from Williams in Traverse City, Michigan (all my Saturns in fact) and it was a Special where there were about 20 SL1's were shown (all Used). Was so nice! I don't know were they got them all but wish they could do that again. Many on the road, and too hard to find to buy. Says something about these cars. Why stop when you have a good thing going?
Own a 2010 G6 with 23k miles and is still under warranty. For about the past 6 months I started noticing a hesitation in the transmission when accelerating, especially around 30 to 45 mph. Also will hesitate at faster speeds either accelerating or de-accelerating. Contacted GM and they referred me to the dealer for analysis. After keeping the car for 5 days, they claim they couldn't find anything wrong. They tell me it is normal with this vehicle. After researing further online within the G6 Owners Club, I find dozens of other complaints, perhaps even hundreds are experiencing the same. I feel I went through a "dog and pony" show just for appearances sake with GM and the dealer. Automobiles are expensive and automobile corporations should be more reponsible for their products. My whole family are GM retirees and have owned dozens of GM automobiles. I have owned five new Pontiacs and numerous Chevrolets and have never experienced a problem like this. I can now understand why more and more individuals are switching to foreign automobiles!
I went to get an vehicle inspection at 5150 jefferson davis highway location in 22408 area when I needed a tire.I was told the tire would match well it didnt.then was threatend by a supervisor to take the tire or they would ripp off the inspection sticker and put the old tire back on,and "to bad" the tire didnt match like they said.So threatend, lied to, and held at bay .If you dont want a lawsuit I suggest closing this location. If you have any questions about this hostage situation a General Motors location fredericksburg virginia just ask.
Hello to everyone who has had the nightmare of buying a GMC. This is my 5th gmc and its is my 3rd yukon denal. So far never had a problem with my cars so never experienced the service dept circus of gmc. June 27th 2009 I purchased a certified 2006 gmc denali. July 15th 2010 my transmission went bad due to a leak in the radiator and the radiator fluid mixing with the transmission fluid. I went to gmc dealership in riverhead, ny (long island)...... They tell me that i am not covered because even though i purchased the motortrent warranty up to 100,000 miles, my car is not covered because the radiator fluid destroid my transmission and since the radiator is not covered under the powertran warranty for that reason thr transmission is not covered.... What a bunch of crooks, i was in flames. The service dept should hire people who know how to talk to customers in a polite manor or atleast have some college education because the guy behind the counter sounded like a machine and probably didnt even have a GED. In my opinion gmc has the worst service in the world, they have people who dont give a crap and are there just to rip off the customers. I am very shocked that they r still in buisness. I finally called the corporate head office and spoke to very nice man who addressed the issue right away and saved me from spending $4700 as the dealership quoted me without a care... For anyone who needs help with an issue call the headquerters in detroit, michigan. People there are very helpfull dont even bother calling the customer serive because they are the most useless people in the world and just jerk you around from one person to another.....gmc is the worse service experience i have ever had in my life its right up there with best buy... The worse and most useless.....
Anyone knows what to do if gm refuses to fix my new car
