I have a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I have had nothing but trouble with this vehicle. In 2008, my transmission went completely out on a major highway in Texas. Thank God, we were not killed! Now my gas gauge will not work properly. I have looked on the internet and have found numerous complaints regarding this same situation. I called a dealership in the Dallas, Texas area and they told me because they will have to remove the gas tank (because the sensor is in the gas tank) that it will cost me between $550.00 and $650.00 at the cheapest. My husband just lost his job and we don't have a lot of extra money but I am afraid we are going to get stranded. I would get rid of this vehicle but with his loss of employment, we can't do that either! Help!
Plese note this is could be a epic is this wanted to be,I bought a Lemon a 2005 Chevy equinox in 2006 used with 33,000 miles. This was biggest mistake of my life.I ahve written GM Several times this included the Ceo and beth Kucharski an Gm Executive at 300 Renaissance Canter.i have over 110 Service requsets in at the cac at 1-800-222-1020 which i was promised an elevator but was given the shaft clinically .This vehicle 2005 Chevy equionxhas had trhe head gasket repalced.4 sets of totors, serpentine belts, idlers, pulley tensioner,cd-radio plares, paint chipping at wheel wells thes works.I asked Chevy gmc- for a settlement which would be fair or Issue a work order to the dealer of my choice of I can take it there and have other issues with this vehicle fixed approx $2000.Since then i have been given nothing but the runaround cy Chvey-GM.i have been asked by many other consumers who saw me driving this vehicle and ould only given my negative opinions concerning the Chevy Equinox and after seeing all the repairs I had made out of my pocket, many people ran away from this vehicle like the plague.lease if there a Gm Executive Out there who is fair and Customer Service oriented. Please approve my request for this settlement. My Name is Cleveland Ward 18 crowell St. Dorchester,Ma. 02124.I have all the paperwork if you need, but i hope you have a large file cabinet.Have a Nice day!!!
I have a Chevy most of my life. I still to this day on three. My problem is I bought a 2002 brand new Camaro ss ltd. edition. now after ordering and waiting for my car which actually came in in Dec. I got a call fro the dealer that my car was in which was in the am. Waiting on my husband to get home from work I got another call in the later afternoon that my car was not their it was someone else, then I had to wait another three months. Still say my car was undersold on me even though I had left a deposit. Now the car I do have, well lets say I am pissed. The engine has a little over 35,000 miles on it and is locked up. No fault from me. I done everything they way I was suppose to. What is a girl suppose to do. They say it is out of warrenty and I feel it is not right. Tried to get help but am getting know were. They want me to pay for the breakdown of the engine and then a new engine. Just can not affors to do that and I shouldn't have to. What ever went wrong with the engine has to be a manufactor deffect. My last Camaro I had almost 200,000 miles on it and it still ran like a champ when I sold it. What the hell GM? I am pissed.
I brought back my 2003 Chevy Suburban because it needed to be Inspected and the check engine light was stuck on. The only thing that seemed wrong with the car was that it was idling high. The dealership said he would have to run it through a series of test and may need it overnight, we agreed. A couple hours later he called and said "We cannot find anythng wrong with the car, you know this engine has 140,000 miles on it, it cannot be inspected maybe you should consider buying a new car" Like I have another 50,000 dollars to throw away. Come on the car is only 8 years old and my husband was a mechanic for Chevy years ago, he's taken great care of it. My car can't be inspected, there is really nothing wrong with it that anyone can see and once my registration runs out I am tough out of luck. Where is the justice in that? Whats my next step, go straight to the top or leave a perfectly running truck in my driveway until it rots!
Regarding the new Chevy Cruz, GM is advertising the car is completely made in the United States is not true. GM broke it's contract with KBI Bearings and is now buying the bearings for the Cruz overseas. It's not the first time GM has broken a contract. They're constantly going to other countries to buy parts for all their vehicles. I always bought American cars, particularly GM cars and trucks. My next truck will definitely be a Ford. I don't do business with liars and cheats.
I have bought 11 new GM vehicles since 1999.I am severely disappointed in the 2007 Pontiac G6.With less than 50,000 miles on it,the engine started dying, leaving my family members in danger many times. The car will restart after 5 or 10 minutes, with the key off.No trouble codes are present, evidently it clears the code, before or when, the vehicle starts. I believe this to be a MAJOR SAFETY DEFECT! I further believe that GM had better get off their butts & get something done to rectify this problem! I have seen posts on the internet from hundreds of other mid-sized GM owners with the same problem. It is clearly a safety issue & GM CORPORATE had better stand up & take responsibility & get this problem fixed!!!! I own GM vehicles from 1952,1967,1968,1969,1995,2006,2008,2011. I am a die-hard GM fan & owner, but they need to address this issue ASAP. Sincerely, Steve Harper
I am out done with this Secondary Air Unit I just gave the Dealership $800.00 to repair this. This is not logical. Just wondering when this will go out again on My 2004 GMC Envoy.

Numerous oil leaks on 2009 impala ls 3.5 dealer has replaced 4 oil pan gaskets and a new oil pan as well as new rear, front seals and timing chain seal..car has 30000 miles and has been leaking oil since day one..just checked and its leaking again.service dept is larson chevrolet in hermantown mn. there not able to fix it but give no alternative..will have to talk to some one higher up this time.
I live in a small town 10k +/- population. I know of four people who own 2003 Impalas that all have the same problem. The security warning light comes on at random and soon thereafter the car fails to crank. We all know what the problem is, but one guy was charged $800 to have a new ignition system put in. another was told it was a problem with the starter, both continued to have the problem! I was told to leave my Impala at the dealership and they would "put it on the machine" I left it with them for a week, was charged $100 and told that it did not happen while they had it. I have spoken with several other people Dodge, Honda, Ford... who have all told me that it is a chip in the key/ignition and that they could not fix it, only a GM dealership could replace and reprogram the thing. I took this info to our local dealership, where the vehicle was purchsed new. Only to be told "leave it with us and we'll put it on the machine...." I have had this car since 2003, it has done a genuine 32k miles and has always been serviced on schedule. What more can Ido? I recently purchased a new car for my son, a Honda! I can no longer trust anything a Chevy dealership tells me or does!!! I am in the market either to have this fixed for a reasonable price or buy anything other than the chevrolet which has been our 'family brand' for 35+ years!

If the clip and the motor bearimg become mialigned brake faliure happens. The company call rep said it was all on me and i would have to pay for the diagnosis fee?wrong wrong wrong!!!!!!!!!public saftfy and my own are at risk!!!HEY...where the H has all common sense and decency gone??maybe there is a real need for lawyers after all!!! even at one star i could not rate this low enough the scale just is not on this site.

I have a 2004 Saturn ion quad coups and I purchased the life time oil change and I received the 4 coupons for the free oil change and tire rotation. My question is will gm still honor this free life time oil change contract that I have. If any one know my email is brandonhellmer@hotmail.com thanks for your time.
people at times expect too much, contracts are deals on paper and deals fall apart. like buying a house, it does not have to be in writing for it to stick. But when buying used you are actually buying a car that another is fed up with or do not want to make the repairs. tires are never part of warranty unless you buy new and even then its on you after 12,000 miles. most things are seen on the property when you buy, you can not cry about dings or scratches or even tires days later. Those issues were there the day it was picked up, most complaints are from people who do not have an idea on how cars work except for they need gas and a key, i read most of the post here and most are whiners about things that happen to all cars and trucks like knocking on start up. ALL CHEVYS HAVE LIFTER KNOCK ON START UP WHEN COLD, That is because of the oil YOU decided to use maybe because of mis information be friends or grease monkeys that have no idea what they are talking about, I have a 03 malibu that ever since I bought it has lifter knock for 3 minutes in the morning it has now 147,000 miles on it and runs like a top people just need to get real and stop being dense for jumping off bridges expecting not to get hurt when buying ANYTHING
I own a 1996 GMC Sierra 4x4. It is the best vehicle I have every owned. Bought the truck brand new and now have over 325000. miles and still runs great. Yes it has the original engine. I use the truck just about everyday. Love that truck. When I tell poeple how old and how many miles my truck has they respond by saying that it looks in great shape, and beleive me it does. I am very proud to own this 1996 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton pickup. Oh yes I did have to replace items as in any car or truck over that lenght of time. I LOVE THAT TRUCK.
I purchased a 2005 Chev Blazer in Phoenix az. We had a very bad experience with it from early on as the engine would shake & the vehicle would DIE! The dealership on Phoenix "wouldn't or couldn't" fix it so I decided to go lemon law. IF YOU HAVE A VEHICLE THAT HAS 24,000 MILES OR LESS ON IT & THE DEALERSHIP FAILS TO REPAIR IT, YOU CAN GET A LEMON LAW LAWYER! Anyways, I sought a Lemon Law Lawyer. So after I got him to help me, he called back & said, "I'm sorry, but your case was turned down. ***To all of you out there that gets turned down by a Lawyer, DO NOT GIVE UP! I would go to the dealership. call them repeatedly, etc. The GOOD NEWS is that after 3 months, GM avoided arbitration & avoided us a "new" 2006 Chev HHR. This hearing was at the local BBB in Phoenix. ***At that meeting, a GM representative from Detroit, told my wife & I that since we already made "12" payments on our 2005 Chev Blazer, that these "12" payments WOULD be applied to our "new" Chev HHR! As you can imagine, we were very happy that we WON our fight! However, the Dealership that we purchased the Blazer from as well as our new HHR, kept skirting the 12 payment agreement. Unfortunately, soon after these events, our owner decided to sell his house & we had to relocate north of Phoenix. Time went by & I "reluctantly" gave up the fight. Now, after just over 4 years, I have decided to come at them very hard, One reason is, I realize that they already have $20.000 in payments from me, another is that their office in the "Philippines" continuously calls me for payments, (I am a little behind), & also, the fact that I pay over $400 mo & that times 12 payments comes to more than $5,000 i should have LESS to pay them! Their Business Resource Center keeps telling me that they have "NO" RECORD of this AGREEMENT! THEY ARE LIARS & THEY are NOW in for a FIGHT! ******************TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN DONE WRONG BY GM, NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!!! KEEP POUNDING THEM, BECAUSE REMEMBER IT IS YOUR MONEY & THEY ARE "SCREWING" YOU! GOD BLESS EVERYONE! WE HAVE RIGHTS & WE MUST ALWAYS DEFEND THOSE RIGHTS! Sincerely, a 68 year old man that is fed up with GM!
