2006 vibe recall referencing transmission problems 10282 my opinion

I am John wagner from Chicago Ill and I had chevy trucks for years, but this 1 seems to be a lemon all around.ist in July of 09, I was backing up and a private hedge scraped the rear of the truck causing the paint to come off( I thught a autos paint is heat treated and a small hedge never bothered my other trucks. (paint was clearly done cheaply. 2. The seals leaked in 7-2010 3.in aug 2010 the electric syster was going on-off 4. in December 2010 the brakes failed causeing an accident. 5. when I picked it up from body shop noticed rear bumper was slide in to fender causing it to go into tailgate and it didnt want to close, a truck should hold up better than this ! also a few recalls on this model and gmc is ignoring this! 6. The brakes failed again at my driveway when I needed to stop they slowed it down but let the truck go until I used force on them.

Grabiak Chevrolet Route 22 PO Box 319 New Alexandria Pa 15670 I Purchased a 2005 Nissan Frontier from this dealership. At the time of purchase the salesman stated that the catalytic converter had been replaced & that the truck needed to be driven due to the computer had been reset & could not have emission inspection completed till after miles had been put on vehicle. I live 68 miles from dealership so this was far enough for the test to be completed. I did not even make it home till the check engine light came on. Within the week the truck was in the service shop to have the catalytic converter replaced. Miles where added & came back with a empty gas tank. Is this not what was to be done prior to sale, which is what I was told. There was also the issue of warranty, mileage was stated at the time of purchase but in reality it should have been from the time the vehicle was corrected. Is it not up to the dealership to inspect vehicles for any problems before sale? Also the truck is making noises, & is not going to be covered under the warranty. This goes back to the vehicle should have been gone over before sale by dealership so that there is not doubt the customer is not going to incur any cost with in 90 days. This was a cash deal & all they seen was green. I have only had the vehicle 1 month. What would you do?

I recently had the experience of having trouble with my 2008 hhr tires and stoped at SMITH MOTORS OF LOWELL, IN the problem was minor but the way I was treated was great.the people could not have been nicer and the service was great, they did not know me but they treated me well. An experience that I'm sorry to say was not the norm. CUDDOS AND THANKS TO THEM. Sincerely Mel Metzger

All of this is why I just bought a 2011 Toyota Tundra.

My 2008 G6 Pontiac is having the same steering wheel shaking problem as everyone else. What is your time frame for extending the warranty to the 2008s? Are you waiting for the goverment agency to force you?

We have a 2007 cobalt. we took it in after our steering went out(found out it was recalled for this) and at that time asked to look at rattling noise in front end. Was told it is the lower control arm bushing. I had to rent a car because steering went out on my way to work.My husbands friend owns a 2007 cobalt and the lower control arm bushing went out on his. I have gone on computer to research this and found 196 pages from two website alone. There were several websites on the bushing going out but GM refuses to pay for my repair. The car was purchased from Arnell Chevy in Burns Harbor, IN. Mike from the service dept was very rude and GM headquarters did nothing for me.

I was visiting your dealership in (AL-KHAFJI- 31971,K.S.A) the customer service was very poor and negative behave, next time I will never stop to buy a car from their again.

I have a 2007 Chevy Equinox I am the original owner, this car is the first NEW car I have purchased. I have not had any problems with it until now. The bumper to bumper warranty went out at 36.000 miles, and the car started misfiring on multiple cylinders,at 40,000 miles, I Took it in to dealer ship for repairs, this is when I learned that the warranty was up. Dealer ship service department put car on diagnostic machine at a charge of $120.00 that I paid. Then they told me that they could not find the problem.they had my car for three days then called me and said that they fixed the problem and that it was corrosion on spark plug wires and coil pack so they cleaned it off and that should have fixed the problem. I got the car back and with in 2 hours of having it the problem was not fixed it started misfiring again, so I called them back and told them it was not fixed, the said that it was to late in the day to bring it in and that they could not get to it till Monday, this was on wensday the day before thanksgiving,so I said OK and took it in on Monday. the service department had the car for another 4 days and said they had it fixed, so I got it back. drove it for about 1 hour and customer service department from GM calls me wile I am driving and ask if I am satifide with repairs, I told Lady that it was misfiring at the time we where talking on the phone.she told me to take it back to service department,so I did,and left it ther and then the called and said it was ready and that they did not find any thing wrong with it.so I got it back for the third time and after driving it for about an hour or so it started ti misfire again.I called GM customer service and told the lady handling my case that the problem was still ther,so she called the service department and called me back and said that they told her that nothing was wrong and they did not find any thing.so she told me that ther was nothing more that she could do for me since they said that they didn't find a problem. Now I am still in California with a car that I can not get fixed and I live in Florida. The GM laidy told me to drive the car home to Fl. and take it to the dealership I bout it from. The trip is 3000 miles and I do not want to break down or make the problem worse. So I am staying here until I get this fixed. I think GM should do a better Job of Standing behind what the make and sell. I would understand if the car had a lot of miles and was not taken care of like I do this one.I really Need help on this mater, I am out of work and my wife is on disability so we do not have the funds to fix something that should be under warranty. And the service department wants to charge me to put the car back on diagnostic machine, and to replace spark plug wires and coil pack on a guess that that is the problem a guess that will cost me over $700.00 that I was told GM could help me with. and what if that is not the problem. I am out over $700.00 and still don't have my car fixed. What Can I do next???.

Until GM repays all the money they "borrowed" from the AMERICAN TAXPAYER I will not even consider purchasing one of their vehicles. In addition, Ford is the only true American automobile manufacturer with enough foresight to continue operations without a hand-out. I guess everyone in the Government believes the money we borrow from China and the rest of the world will never have to be repaid! I would love to live in that fantasy world, but reality will hit us right between the eyes one day soon.

2008 gmc sierra, if you have one get ready to get screwed! the drive shaft knocks. there are tech. documents out with a possible repair. it dosent work 85% of the time, the next tech doc. out on it is well if that dosent work replace another part and that may or may not work. when its done less than 80% are fixed. its the transmission that has to be replaced. its under the 100,000 mile warranty and they renig all the time. i have been dealing with amos key, in the exec office. they did a total gm realignment and did not have people in place to take regional or district managers slots. it has taken 4 weeks to get a regional person to even look at it. now they said, well we have to train them. how can you train someone in 4 weeks to oversee the warranty issues on a vehicle. it comes down to the dollar. if they can screw the customer, they will. well i have contacted the attny general office here in texas and they said they have had so many complaints against gm, they are looking into a total lawsuit for the folks they have screwed over. youthought gm needed fed money to bail them out, well how the hell will they pay a multi billion dollar lawsuit? get ready for the failure of another screw the customer company!!!!!

does anyone have a number for the bosses there? they seem to be hiding behind closet doors!!! cant speak to a executive in any area of gm. wonder why???? the only number listed is the central one, and they dont know who to transfur you too. how damn stupid

IF ANYONE CAN HELP WITH GIVING US GUIDANCE FOR OUR SITUATION WE WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! We bought a new 2001 Chevy Silverado (we purchased it July of '01) and two years down the line we began having problems. The truck began to act up since then and continues to do so until this day. It will randomly not turn on. We always service our vehicles on time and nobody has ever been able to give us a straight answer into why this happens. It worries me because you never know when it will happen and many times we've arrived late to various appointments. It's such a HUGE INCONVENIENCE! If anyone has gone through the same thing and has any helpful info please let me know. Thank you. miss_molina@live.com

I took my 97 Grand Am to a GM Shop in northern Minnesota. All that was wrong with the engine when i brought it in was a coolent leak. I found out the intake manifold was cracked and needed to be replaced. When i got the car back a week later, it would not excelerat and it smelt like something was burning. I immediatly brought it back to the shop and they fixed the burning smell, but not the excelleration problem. I had to bring it back a third time. Also the engine started makeing a loud ticking noise. This GM shop just kept telling my engine was junk! I would not have spent $800 on the intake manifold if i knew that, that was a problem. After two months of fight with this GM Shop, it turns out that my lifters are going bad. This was never a problem when i brought the car in two months ago and the shop manager is claiming they did nothing wrong and they want to make me pay another $900 to fix what they messed up. I will never bring my car there again nore will i ever buy a car from this Gm Dealer. I hope that this will catch the attention of GM Managers and this situation with my car no longer running after work done at one of their locations, will be fixed and help restore my faith in GM.

i own a 2007 chevy silverado crew cab pickup 4x4. i purchased this truck to use at my job which is a foreman in a coal mines. i told the salesman, the finance officer and the owner of payne chevrolet this when i purchased the truck. i had a problem with the left front axle last week and on thursday took the truck in for repair. the pickup is still under the 100,000 power train warrenty and we had also purchased the premier plus bumper to bumper warrenty when we bought the truck to avoid any costly repairs. so imagine my astonishment when i was told upon inspection of my truck, that i had taken the truck off road, and had driven it in mud and that was considered abuse... OMG a 4x4 vehicle that can not be taken off the highway? what is the reason i would purchase a work vehicle if i couldnt drive it to work? when i told them i thought this was insane the service manager at campbell chevrolet in bowling green kentucky told me that the warrenty that chevrolet has only covers factory defaults. and that the pickup had mud under it and had been abused. they then told me they had contacted the premier plus warrenty that i had purchased from the chevy dealer and they wouldnt cover it either because campbell chevroet wouldnt cover it. total flipping rip off. the next pick up i purchase will be a ford.

I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero GLS with 79,000 original miles and I am the original owner. This car is a mechanical nightmare: to name a few problems-power windows, water pump, rusting, alternator, head gasket leak, and to date 15 blower motors & resistors. This car has been to the dealership service department more than 60 times. I paid once for the bolower motor/resistor repair and have 14 warranty repairs as it stops working within a 12 month period. Today, it stopped working again but the dealership (Napleton, Rockford IL) is not sure if they will fix under warranty because it has been 13 months. General Motors is advertising their quality promise, but do not seem willing to stand behind their quality nightmares!

GM SUCKS!!!!!!I wish the feds would have let them go under!!! After 25 years of buying new chevy from GM, A little dip in my credit score is keeping me from getting a new car. I just went to ford and got a new car no prob!!

I own a 2007 Cobalt. The car has performed on a level I never expected. It is the first American auto I have owned in many years, and I'm very happy with it. From driving the car I've developed very severe gray discoloration on my elbows. The inside of the car has a grey plastic covering and when driving I rest my arms on those grey rests. Both my elbows are so bad that I have to where long sleeved shirts to cover them. I'm considering getting an attorney but thought I would make every attempt to resolve this serious issue.

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 4.3 V6. I got into this truck thinking that it was going to be a realible vehicle. However on August 1, 2010 the check engine light turned on and my truck started to misfire. I have replace the distrubutor cap/rotor, fuel filter, spark plugs and cables, pcv valve, ecu, injectors and last but not least I replaced the engine with only 91K miles. My truck continues to misfire!!!! I took it to the GMC dealership and they told me it would cost 95.00 to diagnose it and within one they would tell me what is wrong with the truck. The following day I went to check on my truck because I did not receive a phone call and I noticed a mechanic attempting to start my truck. I asked him if he figured out what's wrong with it and he said no and now I can't even even start the vehicle now. It has been a week now and they still haven't found the problem. I've spent over 1,500 within 3 months and I am still without a vehicle.
