I purchased a Olds Alero because i like GM vehicles and the style.....i owned a Grand Prix prior to this one and was happy with it....i am very upset with the olds Alero.....i have had numerous problems with the front end and cannot seem to get honest answers ....i am also very upset and have never heard of the security system shutting down.....i had the car towed to a local garage and found out hundreds of dollars later that this was the problem.....i called the GM dealership and he said oh yeah the grand ams and aleros are nown for that....he told me what to do next time it happens...i asked why no recall....he did not give me a valid answer..i have been sitting waiting numerous times 10 to 20 minutes for the security light to stop flashing.....do you know how embarrassing it is to have to tell the gas bar attendant i can't leave because of this and they don't have clue what i am talking about...i have been late for work and appts....it is hot sitting in the car..i am going to start looking for another brand of car and i feel that GM has let me down I loved the look of the Alero but GM is losing this customer

I purchased a new cruze chevrolet 4 door sedan from Watson Cheverolet Auto Mall on the 13th of July 2011 in Tucson Arizona. I traded my 2004 Saturn for a discount which was an ample trade in for the miles I had. I went in to buy a new car because of the TV advertizement for 99 dollars a month. I myself in my opinion was dooped in buying a new car by Watson of Tucson. This will be the last and final GM car I will purchase. And I also want to say I am a retired GM Hughes A/C Co. employee with 30 years service. But I still don't understand why the Sales reps offer you free oil changes and free services if you purchase a new vehicle and don't complete their promises at all. They also said they would get me a dashmat, a spare donut tire and Jack that I asked for. No calls or even a message are made as of yet. They said I would get a call when the warehouse would bring in the parts. They even offered free gasoline. If you are in Tucson people, I recomend O'Rielly Chevrolet better. I assume if they get their money from my bank. It's a final sale and no more promises.

I was referred by another dealership to Superior Chevrolet because my hometown dealership did not have a Corvette in stock. When I got to Superior, I told them that the other dealership referred me. They somehow took that to mean that I was just at Superior to test drive a vehicle and then buy it at the other dealership. They proceeded to tell me that I was allowed to sit in their vehicle and not drive it. They insinuated that I was too tall for the vehicle and that a Camaro would be more "appropriate" for me. When I asked for brochures, they said they had none. When I asked for prices, they told me to consult the internet. I complained to the manager, and he told me that he thought he heard me say that I was going to buy my vehicle at another dealership and that I was only there to test drive. What kind of an idiot would do that? Is he crazy? He also tried to call my husband and explain his point of view (not really apologize). Unfortunately I answered and he kept calling me Gary. Great, so now he is calling me a tall man who he wouldn't give the time of day to. Unfortunately, if you look on who attended the GM Ball last summer, you will find my name. My dad is a serious car collector and owns 60 cars. Just because I am a woman, it doesn't mean I can't buy my own car. I have 3 college degrees. I think I can handle it. I am beside myself. In this economy if you have a customer that would visit your dealership in 104 degree; you should at least try to sell them a car regardless of whether or not you thought they would buy from you or someone else. I have a Chevy HHR LS (2007). Everytime it rains I get at least 1 inch of water on the front floor (driver side and passenger). The A/C hes suddenly shut down and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the water inside the car. this is our only vehicle and we live in south Louisiana where the temperatures AND humidity are really high. My wife is a HOME HEALTH NURSE and needs this car running like it should. I cant afford another car and this is all we have. this is going to cause hardship on my family as well as a divorce because I have exhausted my efforts to try and calm her down. I have always been a chevy man and believed in your products. I am now having my doubts. What do I do? (337) 368 5980.

I own a 2003 GMC Envoy and up until last Aug/Sep 2010 it has been a good vehicle. At that time I started have problems with the instrument cluster (gauges). RPM gauge is stuck due south, fuel gauge has erratic readings. In fact, it stalled on my wife in a busy intersection of my town, fuel gauge read 1/4 but in fact it was out of fuel. Just recently, it stalled on me at a stop, "Check gauges" light lit up momentarily, then the "Service Engine Soon" light is lit constantly. It took several attempts to restart the engine. Now my speedometer is faulty and awaiting for the rest of the gauges to go out. FYI, there are 28 pages of emails on the Edmunds/Envoy Forum, with Envoy and Trailblazer owners experiencing similar problems with the instrument cluster. Only a few have been recalled, vehicles with 70K or less, dealerships will pay for parts (cluster) and labor, 70,001 to 80K, they will pay for just the parts (cluster), owner responsible for labor. I started experiencing problems at approx 100k miles. Recall should be for all Envoys/Trailblasers no matter the mileage. Is GMC waiting for an injury report or death to do recalls ?? My rating is "very poor" customer support. GMC needs to do a recall soonest.

I bought a 2009 yukon in jan of 2010..it was new when I bought it. I have had thea fuel pump go out in it, a fuel sensor went bad n tank whic I paid 700.00 at dealer to fix it and now my navigation screen has blacked out. It has 55 thousand miles on it . Also my a/c if getting hot and cold hot and cold. I wrote gm a letter asking them to replace my navigation because my veh is only a year and a half old and I have had no after market things done to this vehicle. My letter stated we americans buy american products and we are helping out the untied states by doing this, so americans can keep their jobs. I got a call from a indian which I could not understand. He told me to take it to dealer to find out the problem. I know what the problem is.....its broke... they charged me 47.00 at dealership to tell me it was broke and I need a new one. Gm called back and told me they would pay for half of the new system...I should have paid half for the navigation when I bought it new then. The thing is, I paid 50 grand for this veh and have had nothing but problems with it. Its only a year and a half old and they should stand by thr products. Walmart would replace it.. I will blog, twitter, send letters every week to gm and post on billboards around my town telling how general motors will not stand behind thr products and how they give thr jobs away to people in other countries. Speaking of the indians who call me rep gm..its a damn shame of what this country is coming to. I will buy a toyota next... crooks

I would like to talk about not shutting down the plant in shreveport and take another direction with the Colorado/canyon trucks.

I own a 2007 Saturn Ion SI2 purchase used on March 7, 2011. Within 45 days my windshield's weather stripping blew off. Within 60 days my gas mileage reduced from 325 miles per tank to 305 (after a fuel treatment 30 days in increased it to 348). Within 90 days my switches went out on my clutch ($200 repair not covered by the extended warrantywe purchased for up to 100k miles. Within 100 days there was a leak in my fuel pump. This is where it gets GOOD. We first took it to the shop that replaced my clutch switches, but they're a transmission shop, so it's not their specialty. They suggested a specialist. We took it to a specialist who used a camera to look around and they discovered the leak. We figured our extended warranty would be sufficient to cover the repair. They did some research and discovered the part had a recall issued by GM in 2009 (#09V419000). The problem is that the recall only applies to certain states and VA isn't one of them. GM REFUSES to acknowledge that the issue applied to my car because my VIN number doesn't pop up on their list. They took FOUR WORKING DAYS to return my car. 3 days to diagnose and 1 to complete the service. My car smelled of and was leaking GASOLINE. the recall is brandies the cars were CATCHING FIRE creating a "car-splosion" (their words). With the right spark, I could have been dead along with anyone at the gas stations where I filled up, on the road (I drive a minimum of 100 miles a day), or in any parking lot or neighborhood I parked in. When I asked about the safety aspects, they said "I'm sorry but we're not going to revise the recall." I brought up the fact that there are likely MANY MORE ticking time bombs on the road and they will be responsible for every one that goes off. They repeated their statement maintaining that my VIN number does not qualify for the replacement. I purchased my car with 43,000 miles from BROWN'S MANASSAS SUBARU in MANASSAS, VA. Salesman Eric (who looks like Ray Barrone) deferred me to Manager Yogi who says "we weren't told by GM so it's not our fault." Jimmy S was the financial advisor who sold me the warranty for $1650. THE POWERTRAIN IS ALREADY COVERED BY GM UP TO 100K! I was scammed so badly and disrespected thereafter. DO NOT PURCHASE A 2007 SATURN ION SI2 WHATEVER YOU DO NOR SHOULD YOU PURCHASE ANY GM PRODUCT. There's also a likely power steering recall that includes the power steering ceasing to work, but they'll only honor it if you can get to a shop that can read the Check Engine Light code, which must be illuminated for it to be read.

My brand new 2011 chevrolet silverado makes a hard bang in the rearend at times. Brought to theservice department in lafayette, LA they said its normal. Bull**** its my fifth chevrolet vehicle none of them slam the rear end that way i also have a 1968 Chevelle that has a smoother rearend. Whats the deal does anyone know is it bad rearends or transmissions????

Check that off the list of things I was cnfosued about.

Dear Sir/Ma'am, I am a service member serving in the United States Army for 8 years now and am currently in Texas stationed at Fort Hood. Chevorlet has treated me great up until today when I realized that when I took my car in for services that the mechanic failed to put the oil dipstick back with the car and in the oil shaft. I was out driving with my whole family when my car began to sputter and act funny in the middle of the highway and died on me. I tried to steer it off to the road and out of the way in time to nearly miss being hit by a up coming semi and trailer. I don't know what came into the mechanics mind to not put a piece of the car back together and risk the lives of a service member, their family and those on the road. I hope I can find condolence with you Chevy as I don't feel I have to pay for another dip stick from the dealership considering its their fault. I also don't feel that I should be having to go through this or pass it to my family to take care of this while I deploy this coming weekend to Iraq for the third time in my career. I would like a very prompt reply via Phone call from what ever head person is in charge there to see if you can rectify this before or by tomorrow, if not, I will start both a query with my congress man and prepare a lawsuit against Chevorlet in general. Please contact, Denise and Jay Tarr @ 254-245-7778 at any time (we are waiting on a reply from you)

i own a o3 deville cad. from the time i got it,it has been in the service depmore than i droveit. I sent customer service 20 pages of things i had gotten fixed e and paid for, i sent 2 pages fron the dealer on warranty work. they called about wanting to make their customers happy but in end of all the phone calls they made to me was to offer me $500 off besides any other sale. who would want another cad. or gmc car, not me. they really had to agree in the beginning or why didn,t they just ignore the letter i wrote instead calling me and letting men in Argentina.tellme they were waiting for a call from my dealership which did,t make sense because the warrenty would,nt cost the dealer anything. I HOPE THEY READ THIS AND LEARN SOMETHING. THIS IS NOT THE TO KEEP CUSTOMERS. I HAD A LEMON FROM THE BEGINNING AND COULD,ntbelieve that of a cad. suppose to be the car every one wants.

Based on most of the comments above I'd have to say they used the wrong dealer. Billy Navarre Chevy in Lake Charles & Sulphur has exceeded all of my expectations. One time I had a service issue..... It was resolved before I could turn around. Great dlr great car. I will not drive anything except Billy Navarre products!

I bought a chev. S-10 pick up truck in 1991 in Gardendale,al.,I am the original owner. I am still driving it after 20 years (210,000 mi.) I have never replace the engine or the transmission. It still runs great. I was wondering if this might be a record? Please let me know. Sincerely,Johnny Whitehead/ph.256-734-3343.

GM is not interested in customer service. Once you have a car in are stuck and no one wants to hear about it! I called twice one day and was promised a return call the next day. I waited 2 days and called again. There was no record of my previous call. I too was lied to about their "return policy" because when I called and spoke with corporate their solutions was here is an extended warranty now leave us alone. Meantime, 6 years later the problem still exists. Or lets talk about the fact that I was almost killed as a result of another documented problem with my car, but does any one at GM are? No! Bottom line, if you buy a GM car you are a fool because there is no such thing as customer satisfaction! Interestingly enough that when I left Pine Belt Chevrolet last month I never received a customer survey form them. I wonder why?

bought a new chevy malibu from jon hall in daytona fl.got ripped off. called the ceo of chevrolet.all i got was a 100dollar service voucher good for one year.but my new car has a 3 year 36000 mile bumper to bumper warrenty .why do i need a $100.service voucher thats worthless. thanks for the help mr. dan akerson/ceo

Contacted Chevy via email and ask a question about dinghy towing. Have a 2010 Equinox and have setup to tow behind my RV. When removing fuse 32 as listed in the owners manual, I have no 12 volts to my power outlet (cigarette lighter) for pluging in my brake buddy. Was contacted by Chevy and was told that nothing could be done and any modification would void the warranty. Told Chevy that due to the weight of the automobiles, it was a state law across the US and Canada to have brake assist on the dinghy towed vehicles. "STILL NOTHING" I have owned GM's for years because of towing without any problems as all power outlets have 12 volts after fuse removal. Now talking to Jeep as they have a setup for towing without any hassle as with Chevy.

My husband purchased a 2008 Saturn brand new for my birthday and I even picked the color (Garnet). It is loaded with everything I could think of, with sun roof, moon roof, and running board. I really love my Saturn, but every time I've had to have some repair or recall, that was done poorly or took longer than it should have. My roof leaked with the first rain and continued to leak off and on. The leak was finally repaired right before spring 2011 but it took four visits before it was correctly done . When it was picked up, the inside headers, door insulation around the windows, floor trim around the door and seat belt portal panels were all hanging off or incorrectly reinstalled and none of your people who handled my car did anything to fix this.I was told to bring it back on Monday(it was Friday of course). The most resent re repair is the steering wheel, it has taken an unbelievable four times to be completely done. This was by fare the scariest to deal with, The pump went out as I was driving and I could not turn as I was in a curve. Lucky for me, I didn't get into an accident. Your company made me pay for the repairs, which is not fair because the work began while it was still under warranty and should be considered as completed warranty work. The invoice list all parts as warranty work but not the 550.00 dollars of labor. This dealership is Lou Sobh in Duluth, Ga. General Motors made a promise to all Saturn owners that wanted to keep their cars that you would be their for us and it looks like your words were just empty promises.
