I'am totally disappointed with gm and all of the problems i have had with my wife's 2001 monte carlo ss lack of power ,false codes and money spent on parts unnecessarly needed... And most of all not recieving the service bulletin or silent notice of Catalytic Converter PROBLEM .GM SAYS that a letter was sent out to all owners is NOT TRUE .We did not recieve one and are now 230 miles over 120,000 or 10 years and was told it is out of warranty .I own several gm cars 70 and up this 2001 monte has to be the worst !!! GM.. YOU STATE YOUR SATISFACTION WITH OUR PRODUCT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US . WELL WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE ME SATISFIED? It is in the shop having a new cat put on right now at my wife's last bit of savings and she is not happy she hates this car.
I don't know wy company's buy chevys and fords the transmissions brake down paint star to fall off inside and out side my company has over 30 truck and there a junk air bag light on Gage's don't work they drive like there falling apart just bad will never end then they complain wy people buy china cars
I have owned gm cars and trucks from the age of 16 and I will never own another I promise! I have owned four trucks and 2 yukons and have had to put transmissions in every one of them! Ya build like a rock that sits in my front yard for decoration!!! I have had three 4l60e's in my current suburban and tomorrow I have to get started pulling the current one out and it only has 2000 miles from the last rebuild, and its not the tech cuz he is a gm mechanic! Any gm product that has a 4l60e or 4l65 is junk and I am sorry for all the hard working people getting DICKED out of their hard earned money because gm has the mentality of who cares if we don't sell any vehicles the hard working people will bail us out! We also don't care about building the best product that the American people can buy because if they have to continue putting transmissions in their cars and trucks we still make money and they also know that the American people will get tired of fixing their cars and buy a new one! Well let me tell you what I am done playing this game, and I will NEVER OWN ANOTHER GM PRODUCT! SEE IF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT! Hope all of you gm big wigs are having a good Christmas cuz I am having one hell of one stranded 6 hours form home with my wife and kids on Christmas because you insist on selling JUNK!!! Thank you and Merry Christmas! Enjoy it because the time has come for the gm giant to be brought down by David! The little man buys your products and keep it up and the little man will go elsewhere and see how helps your business!
Bought a 2011 Chevy Malibu LS, WORST MISTAKE I have ever made!!!! This vehicle was purchased in 8/2011, this is 12/2011 and I have had my vehicle at the dealership service dept over 5 times for the same problem, and that is my car wobbles and has a vibration really bad. They have replaced two new front tires, right axle, rotation, balance, and alignment, the problem still exists!!!! At my witt's end with GM. I owned a 1984 Monte Carlo and never had any major problems out of that car. I miss the times where when you purchased a vehicle, you knew you were getting quality, now you get crap instead. Poorly built vehicles. Very disappointed with GM, I should have stuck with a foreign car!!! SAD :o(
GMC Sierra, I have had 2 months with several issue- transmission skipping and cruise control wont work. I have had in dealership 4 times and all they do is test drive and say it's normal. What a piece!!!!! They do NOT stand behind their warranty! Call GM and all you get is run around! I WILL NEVER BUY GM and anyone that asks I will have lots to say!!!! I had a GM vegicle years ago and never went through this.
I have always been GMC untill the buyout of which you guys took the hard earned moneys from hard working tax paying not on gov lazy income income But what really got me was the way you got away with putting people s lives at risk and others around while going down the road in death trap of a shit peice of a auto you have no shame if you did you yourself would drive a 06 cobalt take your children on a 600 mile trip . THIS HAS REALLY SHONE ME CHEVROLET IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY
2005 Chevy Trailblazer= Problems 1. Gas gauge does not work. This was replaced while unere warranty lasted less than a year. No Recall. 1. Gas guage goes haywire with warning at anytime. No recall. There are others with these same problems. No recall. How can so many people, that live all over the country, have the same problem and still NO RECALL. This is a corporate problem that the corporation does not want to take responsibility for. And we say buy USA. I am so disappointed in buying at home and getting not help. This was my first buy at home. What will I buy next time(soon)? Of course what I bought before Toyota!
I have a 1988 Monte Carlo SS the anniversary edition with the Hemi engine I bought this car when I was16 and am still driving almost every week I have a company car si I dint drive every day I have been reading posts on this site and can't belive what I am hearing chevrolet and especially the Monte Carlo with the Hemi engine from the 80's are some of the best and durable cars ever built my engine is mostly stock except for the blower. I don't care what people are saying when I am driving down the road and hit the switch for the blower to come on look out you can't see nothing but my tail lights Chevy Thunder for ever. And yeah it's got a Hemi 350 sbc
We just bought an 03' pick up from my local dealer in September. It has been in the shop three time now and the transmission needs to be replaced. But because the service department didn't write up the original complain correctly we don't have a warranty on the truck any more. We are now stuck with a 4 month old vehical that needs an new transmission. We have bought over $150,000 in vehicles from them since 05' and have never has any problems. I am so mad that I will never buy another gm product again nor will I ever recommend the dealership to anyone!!!
Dear Sir/Madam, Please note that we are a company who are using Yukon and Tahoe vehicles. We have came across something that is weird regarding the real speed for a vehicle that is reflected on the speedometer in those vehicles. As HSE manager in my company I am faced with the fact that other employees are complaining of vehicles being set to 10km/hr less than a real speed measured by a GPS device, taking in consideration the communication time between a satellite and a GPS device. For example a vehicle's speedometer is reading 100km/hr where the GPS speed is 90km/hr. The question that I am looking for an answer for it is "Is this is true? Or is it just that some vehicles have a problem where speedometers do incorrectly reflect a miscalculated speed ratio?" I will highly appreciate your feedback as we are using speed monitors where they are set on a country speed limits. I purchased a 2006 Chevy Impala LT on several occasions my traction control and ABS light would come on. I have replaced the transmission on this car already. GM needs to do a recall on this garbage that they made and called it a car. If I would have did research on complaints about this car I would have never purchased it. GM is starting to make American made cars look bad.
My 2010 Dodge Ram Laramie developed rust on both bumpers, body, rivet under driver seat and driver door jam within 1-2 months of purchase. I have had ignition lock recall. One year later that problem returned. They gave it back to me but did not fix it. I had to take it back to them and they diagnosed a chain/cable? That works with the shifter as being kinked or twisted. They had it two full weeks. When I went to drive it off the lot I noticed an engine warning light on. One mechanic there told me I had a problem with my engine (30K miles). I marched back into service? Department and told them to fix the issue with the warning light. I have had other recall items. Actually so many items wrong that I can't list them all. Broken promises from the service? Department manager. Last time I was begging for q loaner vehicle. They only offered me a $33 a day rental that I would have to pay for. Then yesterday I am informed by Chevy that I should have gotten a free rental vehicle as due to the fact my truck has been into the shop so often that I qualify for a special extended customer care program. My truck looks nice and when it is working it feels nice to drive but it seems to be in the shop A LOT. Very inconvenient.
I have a 2007 monte carlo we bought off the showroom floor the car has 23k original miles on it and has been a great dissapointment it has already had tires changed twice steering knuckle headgasket computer issues with air bag and tire pressure sensors now the latest i had the battery changed yesterday only cuz its gonna be 5 years old i dont want to get stuck in the cold after the battery was changed by a reputable garage the car went into sleep mode.. the garage i deal with called g.m. directly who have no answers they are clueless i find this to be very sad but made a promise today that i will never ever buy anothe gm product planning on purchaseing two new cars this spring but they will not be gm.. they dont care and now i dont care 20 30 40 k for a car is alot of money to me i will look to spend it elsewhere..
I have a 2007 chev. Cobalt and recently while driving@ highway speed the vehicle totally shut down (motor, lights, radio, anything electronic)about 5 min later I was able to restart the engine with all electronics restored. I took it a dealer they told that the problem was caused by a malfunction of the Mass Airflow Sensor and they fixed the problem and told me a total engine shut down NOT would happen again.I understand that a malfunction of the Mass Airflow Sensor could cause a car to stall. However the GM EXPERTS said a malfunction of the Mass Airflow Sensor WOULD NOT cause a Total Shut Down of all the Vehicles Electrical Systems? I am concerned that this vehicle may still have a problem. Well, it happen again As my son was entering a Busy Intersection tonight his 2007 Colbalt shutdown again. Last time this happened (couple months back) a the GM dealer charged us $400 and assured us that they fixed the Problem, I Say "BS" My son almost got T-boned this time as his car ground to a halt in the middle of the intersection. It appears to me that these cars are Dangerous but I guess someone needs to be killed before any action will by taken by GM.
I purchased a $41,000 silverado extended cab ltz. november 2011 within a week and just 200 miles i started hearing knocking/banging sounds from the engine. I have brought it to 2 different dealers and a private mechanic for a diagnosis. Its piston slap which GM shockingly has been aware of for more than 10 years and refuses to address. I was informed by the dealer that the engine would have to be removed and dismantled to fully diagnose the internal noise. I am very upset over this and asked for a new truck as mine has less that a thousand miles and it will cost GM per the dealer between $2,800 and $6,000 to repair. It would be good business to put me in a new truck and less expensive for GM. I have purchased more than $100,000 in brand new GM vehicles since 2005 and GM COULD CARE LESS! The customer service and lack of caring is beyond shocking!! I contacted customer service to no avail,so i got in touch with the executive offices in detroit.. almost as much of a joke! In 2007 i purchased a new bmw and had a few problems but i was treated with respect and they genuinely cared about me and my vehicle. The customer service was outstanding! At GM they should just tell their service reps to inform customers...sorry sir/mam we already have your money now just go away!! I will probably be purchasing another $300,000 in new vehicles over my lifetime not including family members and work/company vehicles. Its hard to believe that GM only sees the the small picture. I could have been in a new vehicle a couple weeks ago and telling everyone i know about the great service from GM BUT GM is only thinking about a couple thousand dollars not $300,000 to a $1,000,000 in sales they will be guaranteed to lose over the years. I have a 2009 silverado pick up that we bought a month and a half ago. Love the truck. But before we even made the second payment. It caught fire under the dash behind the gauge cluster. the truck is all factory. this shold not have happin. You hear about FORDS doing this NOT CHEVROLET!!!! THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS. I have a 1991 chev. s-10.I bought it new Jan.1991 and have been driving it every since. It now has 210,000 actual miles on it. I have serviced it methodocally over the years,it still has the orginal motor,trans.,and rear end.Thank you for making such a solid truck,it has given me such a great service. I bought a 2011 equinox and it has been in the shop 4 times for the same problem. I can't get any answers from the "area rep.". It has been 4 weeks and they keep saying we are working on the solution. The vehicle cuts off while going down the road and when you start it up, it sounds like the engine is going to fall out the bottom. I am not GM's largest customer but I WAS a repeat customer...
Hello, GM the reason that I'm saying poor for the fact that I put a new engine in my Chevy Avalanche,and it was back in the shop 4 time for different parts of the engine. I heard back from the headquarter it was to let me know about a certificate for 2% that I paid for.I paid in full with my credit card, I was told that I would get 2% off the bill or a check for the reimbursement. The certificate stating only for GM dealership and new cars or trucks. I spent over $4000.00 plus rental service $1100.00 I would like for some of my money back, because what if don't another car or buy an new car. With all do respect its appeared that the 2% of certificate goes back into General Motor if you look at that way and the certificated stated for a down payment only. I can be reach at 562-506-8390.
