Traded in my '05 Yukon with 60,300 miles which was rated at 14-18 MPG. My worst tank of gas ever was 14.5 mpg and on the highway my average ran 20 to 22 depending on wind and terrain. My new '012 Acadia was rated at 18 to 24 mpg. After 4000 miles my mpg averages 14.5 overall and 17.9 my best on the highway. Unfortunately I did not read that small, small print at the very bottom of the window sticker. Since then I have gone on the internet and WOW! I guess I should have checked this out before buying. On top of this I practically gave my Yukon away (it was perfect in every way) and I think I paid top dollar for the Acadia. The cars shift points are all wrong in relationship to load and accelerator position. Even forcing to a lower gear by using cruise control doesn't net me any improvement. I could love this car (never as much as the Yukon) but the chintzy plastic interior and the ho-hum attitude by GM re mileage means it's my last GM purchase. Does anyone care?
Hello has any one bought a 2011 cruze and have a very bad smell when the heat is on like antifreeze I am very worried about ourselfs and my grandkids in the car if anyone knows what this is and how to fix it please let me know very concern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To whom it may concern, I had bought my Brand new Denali in January 2008. I only have 60k miles on it. Since day one I had bought that thing I have had only but problems with it. I have always been a Ford girl, All of my work trucks are fords( I have a total of 7). But I said hey, I have heard nothing but good things about Gm. So for three years I would ask my husband to let me get a Denali, And finally he broke down and said yes, so I went out and bought one. Maybe it was just my luck to pick out the one that likes to break down or give me nothing but problems. I have an 87’ ford that gives me less problems then my 08’Denali. I just can’t believe how this brand new well 3yr old vehicle can do this. I bought a 05’ Ford truck in 05’(brand new) and the only thing that I had to do to that thing is give it new tires and new brakes that’s it. My 08’ Denali…new mounts, disable washer fluid warmer, new brakes (brakes only lasted 2yrs, new tires lasted only 2.5 yrs, new dvd system, I even took it in 2x cause of the transmission, electrical had to be re done cause the interior wires were deteriorating, back windshield wiper broke, back passenger door handle(exterior) had to be replaced, side paneling (exterior back driver door) had to be re applied cause it was coming off. These things were done not even in a three year period! And now every 4 to 5 days when I go to start my truck it’s completely dead. I have to jump start it. And NO I don’t leave the lights on interior or exterior. There is no reason my Denali should be doing this to me. I do all factory recommended maintenances on all my vehicles. I just think for the amount of money that I paid for this vehicle, I expected better quality. This vehicle was just slapped together. Don’t get me wrong it looks beautiful, and rides nice. But I think the most important part is how well it runs. This Denali SHOULD be reliable. And so far it has not. Im writing you for help and for future customers to come.
I bought a 2011 Buick Lacrosse. Six cilinder, all wheel drive, with all the goodies.Have you ever rode in a car that has a slight jerk all the time? Well I'll tell you it is not enjoyable. I took it back to the place where I bought it,to be told everything is is spects. A $40,000 peice of junk. I drove a rental car while I was waiting for mine. It was a 2012 Buick Regal, a $18,000 car that rode like a dream compared to mine. I am going to carry this out as far as I can. Oh one other item. I get 13 M.P.G. not advertised 18. My 1998 Pontiac Bonevile rode better and got 19 M.P.G. and it was 14 years old. I wish I still had it.
I wish there was a rating of 0 stars for your decision to move even more production out of the US. Great way to thank the American people for their bail out money! All American car Maker..... I guess not
Wow, I cannot believe how many complaints against GM (but then again, not surprised) We have had major problems with our 4 1/2 yr old 2007 Saturn Outlook. Have spent hours upon hours bringing in and out of service and oh the phone with GM etc. This car is VERY UNSAFE and POORLY MANUFACTURED VEHICLE AND GM knows this but are unwilling to fix ur steering column even though we have been trying to get it fixed for two years especially while it was under the full warranty. Also they refuse to pay for the Airbag sensor to get fixed as well and we have had two years of problems with this too. The transmission completely went out so they are fixing this (of course they are, it's still under the powertrain warranty) How many 4 1/2 yr. old vehicles transmissios go out? It's actually been going out for years. Also have had mulitiple electrical problems with this car and repeated leaks, especially oil leaks. As we speak, the car is in the shop for the tramsmission and leak. We have been pleading with them to fix the steering column and airbag sensor because these were issues LONG BEFORE our warranty was up (we have all service documents) They havenat even called us back. The only call we have received is to pick up our UNSAFE 2007 SATURN OUTLOOK and also the rental car co. to return the car. This all actually happened yesterday when our city was under a total BLIZZARD in Denver. GM didn't have the guts to call us, but had the rental car place call us. We are still fighting this and will continue
I will say even tho my 2011 Malibu had an issue with the ECM connector fretting(corrosion) & the car died & wouldnt start,I called Roadside assistance & got towed to a dealership I used to work for. Didnt know anybody there(dealerships have big turnover in personnel) but they handled the deal & got me back on the road quickly. Wasnt in a hurry cause I have a 2001 C2500 work vehicle as second vehicle(which has been awesome with 155K w/ no problems). Both vehicles I love, have never owned anything but a Chevy & probably never will. All that said, having been in the Car biz as a parts guy, a lot of you folks dont have a clue about cars. If it has moving parts or electrical stuff, its gonna go bad at some point. I understand that it's inconvenient when your car breaks down. I KNOW! But like the guy whining about the Bumper-to Bumper warranty. Why dont you read your owners manual or research BEFORE you buy ANYTHING? The B-B warranty(100K) is drive train only. Trim & a lot of the electrical things arent covered. They are up to 36K or 3yrs. Extended warranties are kind of a scam,as they cover the same stuff as the B-B warranty & some odds & ends that arent covered by B-B,just not everything. Warranty doesnt cover maintenance either or body damage. We have had people come in & say its under warranty & want the oil change for free. Or wreck one & think its covered under warranty. I have seen it all. Most folks walk into a dealership & think they know everything about a car cause they worked on one back in 1979. I dont even work for the dealers anymore but I do understand ALL cars at some point are gonna give up something. DEAL WITH IT! Dont be an azz with the service & parts guys cause they can put you on the back burner & do if your being a jerk to them. Good luck & do some research as I have done to find this page. Its out there.
I have a 2011 Camaro v 6 it's been in the shop more than i have had it!!! It has a bad vibration at 1200 rpm's Or at 40 to 50 miles an hour they have replaced all kinds of parts underneath the car then in. DecemberChevrolet egknowledge that there was a problem with a certain amount of the 2011 camaros v6!!! It has been back to the service department 3 times now and it still not fixed. 2003 gmc sierra 1500 work truck 4x4 2/01/12 brake line rusted out @less than 50,000 miles, replaced it last summer blew thru red light due to brake failure(more rusted lines)thank god no wreck 57,000 miles got truck back today with $500 bill, local garage did a great job for me. brakes still feel like sponges...brakes have NEVER felt right on this truck. I've owned gm products since my 66 chevy 2(nova),is it time for a ford ranger?
as a proud citizen to be an american, I traded my New Honda for a new american car (Chevy Cruze)! wow that was the biggest mistake in my life and deep regret. the problems started from 2nd day: issues with transmision, steering wheel, heat, engine does not warm up fast, times, noise inside.... I drove to Detroit twice, I meet with GMC quality production who stated that all issues will be resolve! of course nothing fixed and dealer not able to resolve the issue! that's ashamed. Thank you GMC for waisting my time and money. I am working with my attorney to file a law suit against GM.
I love my 2010 Terrain first of all. I'm complaining as to why would this vehicle need a radiator. I found out through the dealer, there is a crack in the radiator, and fluid was leaking. My heat inside kept being cold and I couldn't figure out why. I purchased my car NEW in Nov 2010 off the lot when it first came out. It's regularly maintained. I'm thinking the radiator has to be defective or something.
I finally could afford buying a brand new vehicle and bought a 1995 Saturn SL2. Right from the start the problems popped up. Driver's door leaking at the seam, having to replace the shift / key lock linkage MANY times, full dash cluster vibrating like a hornets nest (it came back and Saturn said they would NOT replace it again), muffler tail pipe hanger, alternator, etc. And the FINAL thing was ALL rotors needing replacement at 23K and the front needing replacement again at around 34K. I had an Oldsmobile Firenza and that was a piece of junk also. I now drive Toyota, it's where I was before trying GM, and it's where I'm staying. Matter of fact, the wife had a Blazer that "locked up" the cruise control on I-90 in NY. She had all the shoes and pads gone before she could get it back down from over 80 to the shoulder. The dealership would take no responsibility for the damage / repais. I told her to go Japanese and she got a Honda CRV that she gave to her son after it had 130K and it was STILL running great...
I have a 2010 Chevy Colorado ,this has been the worst car I have ever owned . My first issue was with power door locks locking and unlocking by themselfs.Issue was. Fixed warranty expired at 36 k truck was fixed in Florida had to go back to NY now only one door unlocks when you put truck in park have to unlock manually. Now a new issue I have 51,000 miles and now my check engine light is on .One would think paying over 20 kfor this truck with only 51 k should be any issues. Feel like I have brought a lemon.
I have a 2003 silverado 1500 I thought I was upgrading from my 1995 silverado 1500 but I was wrong my 95 I had for 5 years and no problems, just the body was falling off so instead of fixing it i went and out and got my 2003 I'm still kicking myself gm has gone down hill and they don't even care. It seems like every weekend i need to fix something. My question is,why are we paying more for less? is it our fault, we want higher pay, shorter hours and faster delivery.Do we stand up and say enough we want quality or keep your cars!Or do the car companys say kiss our *** we are about a great product and not rushing things out the door just because you want it now.Maybe its because if you look at the parts on american made cars how many are made in good old usa. Well I don't know what the problem is but I'm ready to go back to the 50s 60s and 70s when the people of the car companys cared about their product
I OWN TH 2011 GMC ACCADIA AND IT IS THE WORST CAR I EVER HAD. THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF EVERY TIME I PUT IT IN GEAR THE REMOTE STARTER WONT WORK ANY MORE THE BRAKES FAILD SEVERAL TIMES ( CAN YOU BELIVE IT ) THE HEAT HAS A VERY BAD SMELL THE CAR HAVE ONLY 4800 MILES EVERY ONE DONT PURCHASE ANY GM CARS THEY ARE NUMBER ONE TRAGIDY
I purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Durmax. I purchased this vehicle because I had owned a 2002 GMC Durmax. The service from it was great for 171,000 miles. The unit I purchased was a fleet unit from a national rental company. I asked for a car fax since I do not normally buy like this and did not get one. I had the truck a week setting at home after buying. When I returned and started driving it I got a exhaust fluid quality poor. I put in DEF fluid purchasd froom the dealer and it did not go away so I took it to the dealer and the made appointment for service. They checked said fluid was good and reset computer. ECM codes. I drove it about a week and the message came back they said they needed to order parts so I waited and when they came in I took it back and they kept it about 4 days had trouble getting codes to reset after performing what GM said to do. I got truck back and after driving it a couple of days the message came back and it has been in the shop about 9 days so far with the same message. I told them I really did not want it back because at this point I do not trust it, but the dealership so advised me that i owned it no matter what. In 1999 I bought a Nissian Pathfinder and it had problems in the trans. When I took it to the dealer he told what they would do to fix it and if I did not agree then it was my problem and I said I hear you so hear me I will not buy another one and I have not. I hope the the new GM compan does not feel the same way about the issue.
Let me tell you about my GM Lemon!! I have a 2011 Chevy Duramax LTZ 4X4, crew cab. I have filed for a lemon on it and have gotten no where with GM. You cannot even get a phone call back when promised. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and now I am still getting the run around from GM. I have a GM rep that won't return my calls, a district Rep that put a computer in my truck and won't return my calls, and a truck that leaves you stranded when you drive it and has a SAFETY issue!!! Issues: *Truck will rev up to 1400 rpms and jolt forward while stopped at a crosswalk/interserction. *DEF (diesel exhaust system) has failed numerous times. Replaced tank and still issues. *Interior lights work when they want to. *Issues with Traction Control system. *Idle issues. *Truck totally lost power when cruise was set at 73mph. I am sure there are more items that I haven't listed, but this is the majority of them. GM does not care about the safety issue of the truck jolting forward and have blown me off for 7 weeks now. I have a computer installed by a district rep and cannot even get a call back from him either. My guy at the dealership in the service dept has since quit and I have no one to contact there either now.
My daughter is the owner of a 2011 Chevy Diesel Truck. She has had so many problems with it, including when she stops at a light it will rev-up and if she does'nt have her foot on the break it can shoot forward. This is definitely a SAFETY issue. Even the Rep. that put a computer on her truck does'nt call back. The Dealership won't work on it anymore until the Rep. calls back, it just goes round in a circle. She has had NO help from GM they just keep telling her they will call back, which they never do. There Customer service is USELESS and they certainly do not stand behind there products. They just want to sell the vehicle and then forget about it.
So disappointed with my 2007 HHR, I agree with Linda. My Door handle broke on the passenger side and it scares me to death to think I might get into an accident or have to get out in a hurry. Just called the dealer and they say it isn't covered under my extended warranty....REALLY! I should have known! A piece of plastic breaks and they want me to buy a new door! $387.50 to get one door fixed and I know that in the near future the other one will probably break! This is something they need to recall!!! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAPLY made door handles. Anyboyd have any answers?
