I had never been in a Forever 21 store until my friend & our 7 children went to NYC in Jan 2011. We went to the store in Times Square & spent nearly 3 hours shopping 4 floors of complete bliss - 5 of those 7 children are 15-21 yr old girls!! :) We bought a little of everything - jewelry, shoes, purses, clothes, & about 100 pr of the cutest socks lol. That was our 1st stop of the day, so we carried our yellow bags all over NYC - what an advertisement we were for them. The prices & the selection were great. I absolutely loved the decor!!! What a great atmosphere. Most of all, I loved the employees - they were the friendliest, happiest group of young people I've met in a long time!! It was extremely busy that day with long lines at the cashier, but they had more than enough time to help & had smiles on their faces. My next trip to NYC will most definitely include a trip back to this store!!
I was already not wanting to go in Forever 21 but they have recently moved the store in our Gainesville Fl mall so I decided to see what the store had to offer. So I go in the store and starting looking at some bathing suits for my step daughter, then I saw this black floppy hat on a manican and decided to try it on, it fit perfect and it was the right price. Well I take it to the checkout counter and the manager ask me if I took the hat off of a manican and I said yes. He tells me that he can't sell me the hat because it was the last one and at this moment I'm upset because I'm going on a cruise and I needed the hat. The cashier says we can get your name and number and call you back when the other hats come in and I felt like they should have sold me the hat and they could've written the sku number and ordered hats from that instead of not selling me the hat. I had worked in retail for more than 10 years and I know I should've been able to buy the hat. That was the far worst shopping experience ever. Please respond to thicness29@yahoo.com
Well, I have to say...I just got hired at Forever 21 in beautiful Woodland Hills, Ca. located in Los Angeles! The store is the biggest Forever 21 I've ever seen and I am so excited to have the opportunity to CHANGE what you people are complaining about. I have been self employed for 8 years and am just a normal consumer like yourselves who wants a pleasurable shopping experience! I look forward to providing EXCELLENT customer service (I'm a perfectionist ya know) - but I'm totally down to earth and friendly - not from L.A. or Ca. for that matter! Nope, I'm from back east where we have a strong work ethic and real desire to actually help people! So, if you are EVER in the area - may I suggest you come see me, I will take care of you and hopefully change your view of Forever 21!! I also want to add...the new store manager has completely changed the staff there...the people you folks are complaining about are long gone! Remember...second chances? You may just be surprised! Another note..I really can't believe how low the prices are for the cutest clothes...yay!! You can get a complete outfit including shoes & accessories for usually less than $50. Come see Holly. PS - we DO NOT make sales commissions ..fyi - this is just my little announcement!!
I'm sorry to hear forever 21 has gave many others bad experiences. Maybe it's just the stores. I shop with them online and have never had a problem though. Everything I've purchased has been decent quality and I cannot complain about the prices. However, I do shop smart. I read size charts and compare them with the size chart of a store I know my size in. I also make sure to read all terms for returns and such. I noticed a lot of people have complained about jewelry being final sale. I agree it is an unnecessary policy, but it clearly states on their website, and back of receipts all accessories are final sale. When I shopped in store (Greensboro, NC four seasons mall), it was quite busy but the store was clean organized, helpful staff, and my cashier even notified me of the final sale policy before purchasing a necklace. I hope other forever21 stores get better managers in because they are truly making the stores like my local one look bad.
I purchased an item, that i didnt like on me and returned it to the store with my receipt. The cashier asked if I would like to exchange for something else and I said yes. I found a shirt that i wanted to purchase but the only one in my size was on a manequinn (sp) I asked the associate if I could have that one, she then preceded to tell me she cant do that because of corporate rules. I returned to checkout empty handed, and the other cashier then advised me..oh no we have to keep them dressed a particular way..I said I understand that however, there are more of the same shirt, just not my size...she said oh well..we change our mannequins on tuesday ( and I was in the store on monday) you can come back then. I thought are you serious..you just lost a customer for life..on top of having a gift card that i will never use.
I have had 2 very negative experiences with Forever 21. I shop very often and have never experienced the rudeness and lack of customer service as I have with this store. I have filed complaints and even the manager was trashy talking and unprofessional. It is unbelievable that this store continues to operate.
Does anyone know who is in charge of Forevr 21's company? And who is the CEO? And who is the CFO?? And the Vice President?? Please answer.... (: Thanksss
I am currently a forever 21 employee, and i dont appreciate the fact that my management doesnt try to let me go home at 11:30 on floor set days because the store is not finished because i catchthe metro and the last train leaves at 11:48, all they say is you where hired to close wich is true but times are hard and things have changed since i first got hired .......
I purchased 20 tank tops , I was so excited that i found some , I've purchased them before in the past and I love them. However I did not inspect them prior to removing the tags. I attempted to return them after discovering that the material was not only of poor quality but had been cut and sewed the wrong way, were too long , the straps were too long and they were so thin you could see threw them. The manager was defensive from the start refused to exchange or credit my purchase, she didn't even look at the receipt to see it was the day before. I tried to explain the error on my part, after a long debate she said that I could make an even exchange of the same price for the same items provided it was done then and there, no gift card or store credit would be given. She s the manager and if I had a problem I could take it up with another store manager or store location. I found this to be the poorest customer service I have ever received promptly took them the tanks to goodwill for a donation where they could not accept them due to the poor quality.
On Easter Sunday around 5:45 pm I was my sister trying some clothes at the downtown Huntington Beach Store, when I realized, that there was a man pointing a camera at us from the dresssing room right next door. I immediately notified the attendant, who did nothing no help the situation, the man simply rushed out of the store and no one from the staff did anything to help the situation, the man was not even stopped or questioned. I called the police a few minutes later, but the manager on duty said that she wasn't allowed to show them the video until the general manager came in the next morning. I don't understand, how you can have a mixed gender dressing room that is so poorly designed and has easy viewing of the adyacent fitting rooms,
i work at forever 21 and let me tell you all, i completely agree with you guys. on one side, there really isn't anything any of us can do about double charges, and the other side, they can at least be a little nicer about it. there is a corporate number, which no one knows btw. the management team in my store sounds alot like the management teams all throughout the world. cute clothes that are cheap but the way they handle everything, either with a customer or with an actual employee, they are never professional about it. i honestly would not apply there. you will only be watched 24/7 and treated like garbage because the managers think they are better than everyone else, including the sales associates. if i didn't have bills to pay, i would quit till i found another job. but now i'm stuck until that point. pretty crappy :\
I would really like to suggest that corperate look over the "store policy" that the employees make up on the spot. I recently bought a swim suit and was in a hurry so did not try it on. 2 days later I tried to exchange it for a different size and was told the store policy said no returns on swimwear. I looked at my receipt and it said nothing about not returning swimwear. It actually had an exchange by date leading me to believe I could indeed exchange it. I wanted to buy a dress for my birthday and called aroudn to locatl stores and dress was not out on the floor yet or hadnt been shipped from warehouse...etc so i called to order online and i could get free shipping but i would not have received the dress in time so i paid 18.95 shipping charges to receive it in time. I got the dress last night and i tried it on and noticed 6 HUGE holes in it. I cant even wear it now and there is no time to return it and get a replacement shipped to me. I was depending on this dress and now i dont have anything to wear. WOW....reallly? Product SUCKS and customer service SUCKS. took them 10 mins just to answer the phone and then DIDNT SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH and then i couldnt even speak to a supervisor, they had to put a request in to do so. must get alot of problems if they have to that! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!
The management at Forever 21 @ the Quakerbridge Mall in NJ is horrible. My daughter just got her drivers lisc. In NJ for the 1st year a young driver is not allowed on the road past 11pm. Only exception is if they are leaving a job and in that situation they need a note from their employer. Forever 21 refuses to give her a note even though they keep her there until 11pm. Her nasty supervisor gave her a note one time and commented "she is not obligated to write a note and not to ask again". Can't believe anyone could be that rude, nasty and LAZY!!! Also, my daughter's schedule is changed constantly. A few wks back she was scheduled to work, received a call not to come in, then an hour later called to come in, but different hours and then yet a 3rd call a little while later not to come in. What the hell kind of scheduling is that! Very unorganized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for her to get another job and then my husband and I will be telling them to kiss our asses!
I too got double charged today, I went back and they claimed that it didn't show up on their system. I literally showed my bank statement, still they claimed that they had to call corporate and that they would get back to me. It is unbelievable how ridiculous that is. How could they do that to their customers. We spend good money there. It's really unfair and really bad how they treat their customers. What was sad was that nonone wanted to take responsiblity for their mistake, it was like I did something wrong!!!!!!! I am really angry, and a gift certificate is unexeptable, I am looking into a class action lawsuit. This sort of thing has gone on too long and unnoticed!!!
Wow everyone is so frustrated with 21. Well I worked there seasonally (Lakewood) and while management could have been better I do want to address some concerns. As a cashier the whole "we can only give you a gift card" line is real! It sucks but we don't even have a "refund" option on the system forever 21 uses. I used to hate when people got mad over that because there's really nothing we can do! And it makes us feel bad because we don't make the rules ! I would have given everyone back their money if I could have but the return policy is listed at every cash register and cashiers literally can't give you back cash even if it is their mistake ! (I know it sucks). Also , we really can't take clothing off the mannequins !!! It's frustrating because even I wanted cute clothes off the mannequins !! It's a completely different department that dresses the mannequins and no one is allowed to take the clothes off/switch clothes besides the people hired to do so! Who aren't around during business hours. I'm not sure the name of that department but they are in charge of the entire "look" of the store so a cashier/manager/sale associate can't take them off! Not even for themselves! Overall everyone's concerns are valid I Judy hope I offered an explanation for what happened to some of you !
F21 latest trend to their already infamous return/exch policy: WE RAN OUT OF CARDS AND CANNOT ISSUE STORE CREDIT, NOTHING WE CAN DO, COME BACK ANOTHER DAY -per Downey CA. I recently was given this gem of an excuse upon bringing back a sweater I purchased 4 days ago - still unworn, tags attached AND w/receipt. As an extra block, the credit cannot be applied to a prev issued card I had from months ago. Their solution: process exch trans for random same priced item in order to extend receipt 21 day period.
I would give Forever 21 a negative 12 stars. My daughter purchased a pair of shoes from the Oglethorpe Mall Savannah Store. The shoes were attached together and she tried one on. After purchasing the shoes and getting them home she tried both on and one shoe was much bigger than the other. So okay, so far this just falls under honest mistake. Two different sizes were put together by accident. You would think automatic exchange right? Not with Forever 21! We brought the shoes and the receipt back to the store the next day to exchange and were told no by the manager that the shoes had been worn. I repeatedly tried to explain that the shoes had not been worn that they could not be worn because they were two totally different sizes but she just kept saying these shoes have been worn, these shoes have been worn. She gave me the number to the district office and walked away from me. When I walked over to her and asked her name she would only say store manager. I had to go thru the corporate and district offices and then make another trip to the mall the next day in order to exchange these shoes. The same manager was there and she would not even look at me. After reading all the horrible reviews about this store I count myself lucky actually that the situation was eventually resolved but any idiot should know that an item that is a pair, such as shoes that are different sizes should just be exchanged. I guess I should be thankful that I didn't use my credit card for the purchase so they could STEAL money by charging me twice. Congratulations Forever 21. You officially have the worst managers and customer service in the industry.
my wife requested that i return 4 shirts that she had bought at full price. i went to the store to return the items 2 days later and voala!...the same shirts were on clearance. the clerk told me that she could only give me the clearance amount for the shirts which was about reduced from the original costs (35$ - 8$). according to the clerk adn manager there was nothing that could be done. i wonder if it's policy to place returns on "clearance"...i kept the shirts and donated them to the salvation army...this place is a joke.
What company has no way to A) Speak to a real person at customer service B)Cancel an order (their website says it's so they can make the order go through fast and accurately. IF I DON'T WANT WHAT'S ON THE ORDER, WHY WOULD I WANT IT O GO THROUGH QUICKLY? They are an unprofessional scary company, that has a creepy inhumane vibe to it, especially after these reviews. Their website was slow, didn't process my order, and when I ordered the same thing after having to find the items again, THAT was when the site said that the otter order had gone through. I can't wait for this horrible company to fail. It is inefficient, and has the worst customer service I've seen.
