I sold a CNC machine under Nanoer (155 100% feedback since 2007) at ebay about a month ago. I shipped the buyer the machine and he told me one part broken when he received so I quickly replaced another part to him. And he thanked my for my swift shipping for that. After 2 weeks, he told me he was unable to set up the machine and he said my item was not as described so he wanted to return despite it was over the stated return period. So I said no problem and I should refund him the purchasing price but less shipping. When I received the return item after 2 weeks, the machine was damaged beyond the point that worth repair when arrived. I believed all the damages were due to mishandling of the item by the courier during the transition. So I took pictures on how the machine was poorly wrapped up and all the damage parts to shows the buyer. I asked the buyer whether did he bought any insurance for the shipment. The next thing I knew was the buyer opened a resolution case and accusing me of the item was arrived that way when he received them? You will doubt why the buyer did not raise the flag when he first received them in damaged but just one part? So I replied to ebay resolution with link to the pictures. I tried to show ebay resolution center of what I got back and why I think I should not be the sole party to take full responsible of the damage. Obviously I can never resale the item to someone else. I was hoping that ebay is a fair ground for commerce. I was wrong. The buyer went forward to escalate the issue and ebay later made a full refund to the buyer in favor of him. Quickly, the case was closed. So I appealed! She appeared to be very polite and helpful on 07/25/12. She sent me an email so that I could forward my pictures to her for appeal. She replied with mail stating received those pictures and would get back to me at most in 72 hours. But I never heard from her again. I called back on 07/28/12 because I saw Paypal is trying to withdraw $750 from my bank account to reimburse ebay. I told them the case was still appealing. So…I think that was not right to do so. The customer service said they need more time. So I waited until today Tuesday 07/31/12 to call back again. Very disappointedly, they told me the case had been closed and they could not do anything about it. They told be I will have to make reimburse to ebay. The next thing I told them is I would bring the damaged machine along with the original shipping carton and bubble wraps to ebay tomorrow to show them what I am standing on. I think Ebay resolution center will have to be improved somehow to help US small business. With fierce pricing competition from abroad, buyers tend to remorse more easily. And yet, ebay business model is out dated and its buyer protection is hard to keep up in providing a fair ground to the small seller like me and eventually help US economy. I will go to ebay tomorrow to present my case and hope that they will really look into this case and eventually come out with a fair rule. I am giving ebay here two stars but in reality they deserve NONE for their treatment of sellers. I am in an ongoing battle with ebay to revise the policy of allowing buyers to leave feedback even once a gtransaction has been cancelled. in the past month have received one neutral and one negative feedback from buyers who were absolutely impossible to deal with, and buyers are becoming increasingly demanding as they are well aware the seler has no recourse in the event the buyer should choose to leave derogatory or, as in my case LIBELOUS feedback. Here is the text of a letter I just sent to them on this matter which, of course, will go unread or just plain ignored: "THANK YOU FOR REPLYING WITH THE STANDARD EBAY RHETORIC. THE CRUX OF THIS MATTER AND WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IS THE POLICY OF ALLOWING BUYERS TO LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR CANCELLED TRANSACTIONS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND FOOLHARDY AND COMPLETELY OUTSIDE THE REALM OF REASON. ONCE A TRANSACTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED THERE SHOULD BE NO FURTHER POTENTIAL FOR POSTING LIBELOUS MESSAGES ON THE FEEDBACK BOARD, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE AS SELLERS HAVE NONE....THATS NONE AS IN ZERO,,,RECOURSE. ebay has become such a buyer friendly site, having taking away large sellers important tools, and having the entire site degrade weekly, we are going to meet to see if we seriously want to continue paying all these feels on half a million in sales yearly, to a site that makes it harder and harder to sell and give our level of impeccable customer service.

Please have REAL american customer service with paypal / ebay corporate companies. Thank goodness for your competitors.

I have stopped selling on eBay also because they just don't care about the private auction sellers any longer. eBay's latest earnings were again spectacular this quarter, due to their current business strategy of selling new and competing against Amazon. Here's a quote from the CEO... eBay has made progress in revamping its business, which is now geared toward selling new goods. EBay Chief Executive John Donahoe said the company is benefiting from an advertising campaign launched last year to freshen up its brand. "This is no longer your mother's eBay," he said, "you can see it in our growth rates, more and more people are coming to eBay for the first time." Mr. Donahoe said a new round of TV ads supporting eBay's brand campaign will start appearing this quarter. If individual auction sellers haven't figured this out yet, what more evidence do you need... Buyer is king and individual auction seller can quietly go away.

ebay is awful now,i have had enough of sky high fees,no seller protection and cruddy customer service,i am off to cheaper sites!!

I made a mistake in a listing (left reserve price out) and then someone basically tried to steal the item at a much lower price than my usual reserve. Ebay leaves this sort of error completely up to the buyer's discretion, instead of taking into consideration the buyer's feedback reputation and the fact that an error was made. Not really a fair way to do business! I tried contacting several Customer Service people but got nowhere and an now stuck with bad negative feedback, which was completely undeserved. People make errors, that's human nature. Apparently Ebay doesn't think so?

Been a seller on EBay on and off for 13 years. I've got 100% positive feedback with over 1500 sales. I am 100% positive that eBay will not be around another thirteen years because something has gone terribly wrong with this company and people are starting to notice. eBay use to be a true auction site, you get when you give, sellers and buyers had equal rights and EBay wasn't owned by unscrupulous people with ignorant management. Then they obviously acquired Paypal and walah, if your a seller, then your screwed. It doesn't matter what your return policy is, if the buyer is a jerk or dishonest, you will have to give a refund, even if they gotta tap in and steal those funds themselves. You gotta problem with that, too bad cause your screwed. Whoever is in charge of making the policies are dishonest and bias against sellers. You have no rights, your not appreciated and the sooner we can find and committ to another auction site, this is what will continue to happen. :-( Sad that a company can be so popular and rich by stepping on the backs of the sellers who made them all that cash.

I recently purchased 2 tractors for $4000 - Seller said wanted paid in cash. I picked them up brought them home. Not as advertised. Seller stated ready to work, good condition. Tires are bad, oil leaks, front wheels wobble. I filed for ebay protection. sent them a copy of receipt and other info from the seller showing he stated these were in such good shape -- they ruled against me, the honest one and could not help me since it was cash. My question is - why is it stated on the e bay site to pay in cash if this is not permitted to cover the items. Do not they scrutinize what is put on the website. I am now stuck with 2 pieces of junk that I bought thru e bay. I expected more from e bay. I am a very good customer and have purchased much thru e bay. A seller should not be able to state cash if e bay is not going to protect the buyer. This person should be in jail - knew what he was doing and e bay should take some responsibility for allowing the cash deals to be put on the website...Now I know not to believe what I read from e bay....so disappointed and disgusted...

I have been trying for almost 3 months to get a problem with a buyer resolved. I sold a $265.00 handbag for 75.00. The Dooney and Bourke handbag was originally purchased from QVC, I have the original receipt, the bag is registered with the company and this bag has always been in my possession. The buyer opened a dispute against me, she communicated only with the company and not me, put negative feedback against me stating I sold her a "fake" handbag. If this had been an international transaction, eBay told me they could have destroyed my designer bag. After dozens of phone calls and many frustrating hours on the phone I have yet to get this problem resolved. The 10 Dooney and Bourke handbags I was going to sell on eBay, were removed from my selling site, because who in there right mind would purchase from a 'cheating/lying seller'. Instead, I sold the 10 D&B handbags on other auction sites, 2 of them to a police officer, and all of them to very happy purchasers. I could let this just be, since eBay has been of very limited help, but who likes to have a black mark against their good name when it is completely false. Just yersterday, with great reluctance, I sent a very professional email to the seller. As I suspected, she sent a negative reply stating that the bag was supposed to be pre-owned and looked brand new, the tassels were wrapped in tissue and she had never seen that before. So, lets get this straight--because I take great care of my belongings, didn't call the bag new because I used it a couple of times, wanted the bag to get to the buyer in great condition,[ so I bought a new cardboard box and white tissue and wrapped it carefully], sold the bag for a great price and I am the one that ends up with the negative feedback. Let this be a lesson to sellers, buyers want pre-owned items to look used. The buyer thought the embossed leather didn't look like leather. If she is such an expert, did she ever think to look at the suede that shows on the other side? Obviously, I feel eBay should remove feedback when the seller can provide absolute proof that the feedback was without merit. The buyer sent my handbag back soiled and in a plastic bag mailer, not the nice, protective box I sent it in. After being mailed across the country the interlining of the bag was crushed and in good conscience I cannot sell the bag. In her one communication to me she told me she is done discussing this and to stop contacting her. As I have stated--eBay is pro buyer! Sellers provive free inventory to eBay, deal with packing shipping, problems with sellers and a host of other things, but we don't seem to matter at all. In these economic times you would think eBay would try to be more balanced in their policies. My husband has an MBA and he has heard of numerous problems I have had trying to get this resolved and cannot believe there is not one supervisor who has the ability to rectify this matter. eBay we will give you a starting clue; your asian countries are poorly trained and not worth whatever you are paying them. A hard pill to swallow, but you need to put some dollars into training.

Would like to know how a scam artist junfangchen12 who is known by Ebay members for running a scam on Eaby and members who have filed Complaints with Ebay has a Express Fast track in completing a Transaction at Paypal ? looks like the Playing field is not level with Paypal. Ebay transaction 221064483278 for a Sharp A/c unit was shown in the add but a supplier list was sent .Was unable to cancel transaction which took just minutes for the scam artist to complete .looks like the scam artist had a good plan .

logged on to Ebay this week and thought I purchased a Sharp Portable 10000 BTU Air conditoner and the add had two descriptions but was not selling an A/C unit but a list of Suppliers and directing EBay members away from purchasing at Ebay which is a policy Violation. The fellow junfang Chen12 AKA fangchen jun would not answers 6 emails or refund $89.99 .This fellow lives in Malaysia and has an email address of Hatembark@chinamail.com . junfangchen seems to have a fast track at Paypal and had completed the transaction before I could log on and cancel the transaction 50426178A2397513X and item 221064483278 . Called Ebay twice and go the run around and no 24 hour response for a scam running on Ebay .Got double talk from Ebay Customer service .Called twice in the week and pointed out many Ebay Violations by junfangchen of Ebay rules , such as Descript theft, directing buyers away from Ebay site , Item shown not in stock , Copy right Violations , Using another sellers image of a product , False shipping address on the add under item description . Got Run arond from Ebay Customer service and then was alerted by other Ebay buyers that junfang chen12 fellow stated to one member he could not be caught because he changes his name and gives false information then creates a new username and starts another scam . Ebay customer Service seems to be helping the scammer and doing a cover up . Put the information on two of the Ebay forums and Ebay Moderation team removed them and sent me email and I sent back mail to Susan at Eaby will report Ebay to FBI Cyber crimes unit and then the federal trades commission . entered in to junfangchen12 feedback ,scam operation .Contacted Paypal also and got the same runaround double talk .Going to have to file complaints with the California attorney Generals office against Ebay and Paypal for helping a sammer run a scam operation on Eaby .On line now filing a complaint with the Federal Trade commission .

I'd agree that Customer Service is not in the Eaby vocabulary and they are aiding scams and fraud and take no action unles you file complaints withthe FTC or the FBI cyber crime unit ic3 .Had a hard time in finding any thing under fraud,sam or image theft , description theft or false shipping address and the search pane leave out key word like these .Had to call Ebay customer service twice this week about my tansaction 221064483278 a fellow named junfangchen12 running a scam and pointed out to them the shipping address was bogus and had no street number and had no item shown a Sharp A/c unit in stock . Ebay is supposed to approve add content and descreption and looks like they can not read or are part of the scams. Eaby needs to take a reading course . and a calls on copy right laws etc . I have been selling on ebay since 2000. I stoped selling in 2009 and re stared up again in dec 2011.Now since then I was told that ebay revized there contract. One I never receaved a email to that affect .. I just loged into my account as i always did.Thats ok , I started to sell items again, and was told I needed to sell over $250.00 worht if Items and sell 25 fisical items. Well as of 06/11/2012 I have compleated all of what was is requiared of the contract with Ebay. Now as of three days ago I sold a dremmal item is not payed for yet07/06/2012, but this morning I had a Porter Cable nail gun sell and The gental man paid for the item $50.00 plus 26.00shipping fees. but it was deposited to my PAYPAL account but there is still a hold on the moneys. And there should not be.NOw I call costemer service and they now have a block of my phone # at my home on there end , ity hangs me up right away. But I use the same pin on any cell Phone and it goes threw . I am stateing that this is auguenst your contract that you Ebay will not assist me in materes to my account but yet wont to charge me to list items that I can not receave any type of assitance on. such as item not payed for, or any other problem I have with my account? I have now been getting threats from a seller that sold me a bootleg item. I have received bizarre threats quoting Bible scriptures along with what he is going to do to me, along with multiple phone calls. As many of you have stated, Ebay is doing absolutely nothing about this and keeps saying "we will give him one more warning"...that's been over 6 weeks now. I've spoken with police and don't know what else to do.

Hello and i just want to take a moment of everyones time to discuss a e-bay problem that must be adressed with sellers from all over the country and us. we need to stand together and work as a unit to go after e-bay and their unfair standards in the market for sellers. This is my problem and I hope you take the moment to contact me and help me fight a large company who i want to start a class action lawsute on. But i need your help the other sellers who have the same problems with e-bay. Here it is my story. I started selling products on e-bay back in december of 2011 and was just starting out as i got better on selling products with e-bay I decided to open a store frount that requires me to pay them a monthly fee as well as a seller fee and shipping fees. Those fees consisted of 9% on each level as a seller i was pissed off on them charging me a 9% fee on shipping charges as i did'nt make money on that at all. Then i changed my shipping fees as directed to offset the 9% fee e-bay charges.Those charges were 19.95 standard shipping and handeling fees. The problem then got thicker when just after i reached the 3 month mark the review was done and within that same week i sold 35 to 40 items and all customers recived their product within 3 days of their transaction compleation. I then had 3 negitive complants and not one of those customers bothered contacting me at all they just placed neg feed on my page. well Then a review was done and i fell below standard and i was a 5 star rated seller before all this and now i am below standard. So I called ebay and asked them why i lost all my warrentys and why my sales went down and they told me its because you fell below standard and as a punishment and to learn from all this i need to work on better seller ratings. then it got worse from their they then took me down from 10,000 dollars listing fees to 7,500 dollars and from listing 250 items to only 170 items and that placed me over my listing limmits. So from that point i am not able to work on seller standards because i cant change my adds to reflect what i need to work on. This was a plan from e-bay that causes seller failyer. You ask them and all they say is you must get more sales to get a better rating and they cant answer the real question on how i can do that if i am locked out from changing my adds and prices. Their is several e-bay problems and i will point them all out for you. 1.) first problem is the customer is able to place a coment in everyones store. e-bay says the customer is intitled to his or her opinion and that opinion efects all sellers store ratings. I questioned e-bay and asked how a seller can place feedback without contacting the seller first, they told me the customer can is is intitled to. I then said yes a customer can do that as long as it dont efect my store. they then didnt have a answer to that coment other then i as a seller know how to handel all customer complaints if a refund is needed then i will do that as a seller but damage is done and all i am told is more sales will improve my seller rating. 2.) second is how customers can hold sellers hostage from their stores and this includes other sellers on e-bay who sell simuler items they knock off the compitishion by buying and complaining about a product thus e-bay minipulation and more damage to sellers store. I sold a phone it was a ravin 2 from verizon. the customer was a seller on ebay and filed a complainte he recived a ravin 1 phone not a ravin two. I used the ebay catalog to list my item that required me to find the model number of the item and it was on that phone. So all was right on my end and e-bay asked the item to be distroyed and he got his money back. I called ebay on that and they gave me my money back but the customer didnt prove his case and it was also used to place me below standard as the customer placed a coment not once but twice on my store page. thus took me down 5 points on the % scale. placing me at a 89.4% so as a result i lost my hole respect in ebay for helping me to do well as i have been set up for failing with them. Agen customers are taking control over ebay and holding sellers hostage and thus u must return their money or they will leave neg feed on your page. Or if they recive a item they dont like they also place bad feedback so its a no win for sellers on ebay. Sellers must fallow rules and the same must apply with buyers. the buyers are asked to contact seller first before leaving neg feed and they say they do and they dont but yet disturbing to me is the fact they can lie and get away with it and sellers cant defend themselfs at all so many sellers fail over this. I have no income comming in at all lost my job and lost my unemployment money so with this ebay thing it has me at a fail and i am now about to lose my place and that will put me homeless. I want all people with the same problem to help me start a class action lawsuit agenst ebay for dammages done to sellers who are just trying to make a living and make a small company work on their sight. e-bay needs to be acountable for the lack of seller attention and we have no way to contact the corporate offices to adress the concernes we as sellers have.
