PLEASE, I am trying for days, hours to reach ANYONE at the eBAY web site's Billing Office, to no avail. NOW I finally got to a chat dialog box and it says "You are # (255) in que. Estimated wait time is 43 minutes 16 seconds. ID 24849047" How is this possible for a business like eBAY to treat its customers like that? Rating: F----------------------- This is even 'poor'er than Poor (1 Star)

I have EXCELLENT feedback, I'm an A++++++ Seller. I have over 700 HAPPY SATISFIED CUSTOMERS after only 4 weeks! What does E-Bay do? Restrict and shut down my account while they review upcoming feedback. Good job, who wants a Company with lots of happy customers? WTH are they thinking up there? You cannot talk to a manager or ANYONE in charge. No one can give you answers. This is a HUGE pile of TRASH!

Well if their customer service continues like this they won't last long unless they can get a bail out from the Obama group. I tried to close my account 30 days ago. I was advised that I could not because I had made a recent payment. I had made a payment earlier in the day to settle all accounts. It is now a month later and they still won't allow me to close the account for the same reason. I went to the chat line and was on for 1 hour 20 minutes with a queue indicator that I was #5 in line with eight minutes to go. I waited with that indication for 47 minutes before I was dropped.

Or at least I always thought eBay was "Fair" I have sold on eBay for a number of years with no problems. I have read a bourrage of complaints against the company. I was a power-seller selling more than 1K a month in books with little or no complaints. I was in a wreck in early June and lost a shipment of approximately 32 books that were in my trunk ready to mailed at the post office. Lost all the books and did my very best to replace them at my own expense. Gave the buyers other free books of their choice mailed out for free . I thought I was doing every thing right. They "restricted" my account made me pull off more than 400 listings and told me I could only list 12 books. When it was all over they wanted documentation of everything in order to re-instate me back to my original standing. I lost control of my life for a couple of weeks now eBay is punishing me what can I do?? they want hospital records faxed to them. I am prior military the last time I requested records it took 5 months for me to find out they had been destroyed. What to do? I depended heavily on the monies I collected selling my books. Help. my complaint people is that i just started for first time to try ebay out and sel something which was a watch,however the buyer didnt pay me yet we put up the fees upfront,however when sending in numerous rebills orinvoices then tried to get a resolution dispute resolved and writing to ebay to see what they did in regards to this i havent heard a thing,but now i was ill for short time and went over this period i guess i didnt know about if u dont close your dispute after 32 days they charge u the final value added fee,item sold but not paid to me,and yet ebay wants more and more money is all there after ,here i asked for a exception here since first time and they re direct me and now put account on temporary freeze or what someother say,i ask customer service in email only what there corporate headquarters name address,fax,phone is bunch of you know what,also there is no one to talk to .still today i am unable to talk to anyone,i put paypal to suspend payment which did,because i think it is totally unfair to pay a final value fee when didnt receive any payment what so ever,maybe never go on again till resolved

FOR FIVE YEARS, I HAVE STUCK WITH EBAY!! WHY... YOU HURT ME!! The only reason I have gotten answers and more fumbled notions of what is going on ~ is Becuase I am so adamant and determined to find out Why, and Who?? The worst case scenario for someone to accomplish is the lowest form of auction pulling, and that is with "A Charity Involved" ~ hence if Mission Fish/Giving Works has fumbled, there will be someone to take the blame. Neither of them are willing to stand up for this, so I have continued with ebay phone calls, and the only other way to get the answer is with a court asking for "Exactly Who Did What, and Why" .. I am not willing to take 10 wrong answers and all of them different from Ebay!! It's as if they are putting a guilt trip on Me, and I won't have this!! If you decide to pursue this with Ebay, which I certainly hope you do, Since We Are Not Guilty of Giving!! That's a Wonderful and Loving Feeling To Have An Everyday Avenue to Give! I have worked for a Huge Charity for Many Years, This is Disgusting and Disgraceful To Me, so I will now continue to email Mission Fish, as well as continue to send my concerns to Ebay as well. This evening to be exact, there are right now on Ebay... 516,929 results found donating to Mission Fish, and they center it around just a few people that have the integrity to reach out and look for others that it may have happened to. If you actually CARE Enough to Donate, while Ebay is at it's Lowest, the economy is not a Healthy Picture Plus .... which brings me back to Who, and Why ?? My determination to donate is not a SECRET nor is My Charity, how many times can they Dance Around This ?? I say give it up, either Mission Fish or Ebay, What Is Going On, Don't We Have Enough Changes To Deal With. I am not Looking To Score Brownie Points by Giving ~ That's My Nature, and I am Proud of it, again you did nothing wrong, You have a Heart, so we are Slapped Around and Look Foolish To Our Loyal Customers, Don't stab me in the back, and expect me not to ask Why... It just does not work that way, I am humiliated to have this happen to Myself, as Well as see it happening to others. I feel offened, scorned and belittled as a Seller. I now have another letter sent to Mission Fish, to ask Who and Why? Again, since Ebay has told me to Ask Them!! To me it's a Sin!! Ebay has become the biggest joke in the U S A and should be sued,once again, in court on a class action basis by all Ebay buyers. Will someone organize this that knows how to post on the internet.????? Also be advised that Ebay can be sued in small claims court,with no trouble or lawyers needed. Ebay lawyers then must travel to your state to defend the case or hire local lawyers who are not allowed in small claims court. Once you have a judgement against Ebay a local lawyer should be happy to collect it. It is ironic that the ex- Ebay CEO is running for the governers position in Calif. on the grounds that she done a great job for Ebay. Nothing could be farther from the truth.It did not happen overnight but she managed to ruin Ebay. Ebay has gone from a fairly decent,company to a company that cheats the buyers by protecting dis-honest sellers.They will not even follow their own rules about sellers leaving neg. feedback against buyers who leave sellers neg. feedback for poor or no service and faulty products. email jps@cimtel.net

I agree that the seller is stuck at the mercy of the buyer. I have delivery confirmation from the mailing system and ebay cannot help me because they cannot go onto a web site for themselves and get the information! Hello! not everything in this world is on the net. The usps is a federal agency. Their information is MORE valid than a web page. These policies open the door for unscrupulous people and no recourse for sellers. As thinebauch said...it s not much money for ebay, but its a great deal for those of us selling our items.

I was scammed thru ebay by a man claiming to be an agent for ebay. His name is Daniel Ricard. He and Pamela Boykin are running scams and ebay refuses to do anything!! He uses thier official website and logos on the emails I recieved. WHY CANT THEY GIVE A PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT THIER OFFICES??? Have contacted FBI and Houston police and am now contacting the local news channel and the BBB. Tired of the big companies not standing behind thier promises. $3000.00 was stolen and ebay doesnt give a damn.

I sold an item to a buyer overseas, 30 days after i mailed it the buyer contacts me and says they have not recieved the item. I have proof i sent the item receipt and customs form, but yet ebay decided to refund the money back to the buyer, its not my fault the buyer didn't pay for insurance and del confirmation. Ebay said that according to there policy that it is the sellers responsiblity to ensure the item arrives to the buyer. Hello ebay not everyone can afford to hand deliver item to there buyers, that is way they have insurance the buyers must pay for and if they don't its there gamble. So now not only am i out of money for shipping and handling i'm out the money i originally paid for the item plus a nsf fee from my bank that ebay debit my account with out my permission. If ebay wants to refund buyers money them they should do so themselves and leave the sellers out if they have proof they sent the item.Ebay needs to wake up and realize sellers is what makes ebay there money.I have been a member of ebay for 8years according to ebay there policies have changed from the time i originally became a member and stated selling again. if policies change you need to let people know in some way shape or form. I understand they send email to your ebay account but if you don't log into your account for a couple of years you don't see these changes. This whole situation is very upsetting to me knowing that ebay makes millions a year but want to take from the little guys that make them there money, I understand to ebay that $75.00 for the item and $21.00 for nsf fee may notseem like alot for them but for a family of 4 and myself working 60 hours a week just to survive it is alot,Respond to me at thinebaugh@hotmail.com

eBay needs to really look at their feedback policy for Sellers. Ever since they changed their policy to that only buyers can leave negative feedback sellers have experienced "total rule domination" from them - either comply to there demands or get negative feedback. eBay has a small window of reasons they will remove feedback and will not go outside that for any reason, even when it is justifiable, because all they have to do is say 'It does not fall into our guidelines'. If you are going to set such rules then you need to have a staff large enough to give time and dedication to complaints because there really are circumstances that qualify for feedback removal other than the basic verbage written. For instance - I am a five star, 100% feedback (or at least was) Seller. I made a sale and went to ship the item but when I went into PayPal they had reversed the payment and said it was 'Under Investigation' and not to ship until settled. I followed their direction. It took nearly 3 weeks, the buyer was furious, blaming me for the investigation and I had nothing to do with it. He would not even look at the documentation I showed him from paypal that they reversed it not me. Well guess what - negative feedback. The buyer did nothing but swear and threaten me as well. Upon contacting eBay I get the 'it does not fall into the guidelines of our policy for removal' My Gosh, is it really right that I take a negative feedback because your sister company reverses the funds and takes 3 weeks to investigate the payment and I had nothing to do with it!!!??? I had the garment ready to ship within two days, but did not ship because PayPal said to wait until funds clear. Here is perfect example of how a Seller follows the rules set forth and gets the raw end of the deal, which could easily be changed if the eBay representatives would just take a moment and review proof of what I just said and make exceptions to the standard policy which does not cover all circumstances!!

I could not find the golf clubs that I wanted on e-bay and they had their recommended web sites at the bottom of page to buy from. I assumed that these were legitimate dealers and checked out by e-bay. So I bought a set of clubs from www.golfwholesaledealer.com and when the clubs arrived at my home I called the manufacturer of the clubs and sure enough these clubs were counterfeit.The serial numbers matched but the specs. for my clubs did not match with the specs. that they had on file. Also they came from Asia and a label on the shaft said these clubs were assembled in Japan. These type of web sites should be taken off your recommended list ASAP.

Customer Support is an oxymoron for Ebay. I've been selling on this site for 10 years, and when there is a problem with a Buyer, no one at Ebay is there to help. If I underprice an item - it's my problem. If the Buyer overpays for an item - it's my problem. Why is it always my problem? I'm not Macy's or Bloomingdales. This is an AUCTION site. If you want guaranteed product, buy Retail and pay Retail. Why bother with a no return policy? According to Ebay, the seller has to take anything and everything back, no matter what the excuse. Yesterday a "customer service" rep gave me this example of how it works: if a customer buys a shirt described as being tan in color, and he receives it and it's actually darker than he thought, he should be able to return the shirt. If there's an issue, I have to provide documentation and the Buyer doesn't have to do anything except complain, even it there is no basis for the complaint! I've been doing this for 10 years, and it only gets worse. Ebay provides no support for the selling public, and essentially, selling on Ebay is like working in a low grade sweatshop. The 20 somethings they have working in customer service read the same script and use the same Ebay speak, none of it with intelligence or thought. Duchouquette has it right along with the other comments. Working with Customer Service is like the Wizard of Oz (all smoke & mirrors).

Its time to get the San Jose California Police Department and the FBI involved in looking into the behind the scenes operations at eBay. eBay is arrogant with their relations when attempting to resolve problems and continue to allow Fraudlent Sellers to operate on their site along with allowing people to threaten other eBay users with their reputation. This is an on-going practice with eBay simply because it puts profits into eBays pockets. This white collar crime must come to an end !

E-bay Is now a clip joint! I registered several items (13) with a buy it now on them, when 2 were purchased I discovered that my paypal contact was partially changed and my costomers payments to nowhere , this was a hassle for them and me , one cancelled on me altogather, Then since several of the items were bid on already I couldent change the auctions so my only alternative was to cancel the auctions and relist them, my buyers werent happy, I lost several of the bidders,,the auctions were corrected and were right on tuesday night,, wednesday afternoon when I checked my auctions a married E-Mail address that I had cancelled 5 months pryor graced my paypal slots and again several had been bid on and the auctions had to be cancelled,,, by this time I had lost all of my bidders and E-bay sent me a bill for $155.00 D. and the costomer service war began, you cant contact e-bay, your not ment to speak to anyone that could help,finally spoke to someone that could understand what I was saying and they denied that these thins happened at all, They have the computerized history and they know exactly what transpired but all denial, I'm stuck with this bill and I cant find anyone to help me.. E-Bay sold and they must have done away with costomer service.... Never again!

The bottom line is this: sellers butter the bread for ebay. All FVF's, paypal fees, and listing fees are paid for by sellers. And those fees escalate year in and out. Ebay does nothing for sellers; rather, they take seller assets as though 6% off the top is ebay's de facto "share". And when anything goes south, sellers have NO recourse: no way to hit with feedback or any method by which to protect against chargeback. Buyers who snivel about poorly packaged items need simply file complaint and return the item for a full refund. Any buyer who does not do so and who is though "out", is merely inept. Sellers, on the other hand, are at the mercy of buyers who change their minds, refuse to pay, or decide after the fact that they want something else. And a seller can refuse to accept a return, but only at the risk of negative feedback and a lowered seller rating (which all effects a seller's pocket insofar as ebay determines fee discounts based upon those ratings). Ebay has become a joke, where you can only accept paypal, must provide a corporation with your bank info (what's next, an ass-print?), and where a buyer can refuse to pay, though ebay has already jacked the seller for a 2.3% final value fee and will hold that dough, earning interest too be sure, for days and days while the "process" unfolds for asset return. Oh, and god forbid one explicitly note that buyers need to make contact within 24 hours of auction close to verify their seriousness, or that they may utilize a bank wire or gold bars for payment. Nope; as ebay seeks to mitigate any and everything through itself and its wholly owned company paypal. The last 10 years have seen the ebay model become "safer", but its soul has been sucked away, as well.

Normally, I would have nothing but good things to say about ebay. Sure, it has some faults, but who doesn't? In my case, I have been a buyer for quite a few years and have a 100% feedback rating with over 2000 transactions. Recently a minor situation happened that could not be resolved at the lowest levels of customer service. Attempts to escalate it were futile. Ebay needs a clear escalation procedure. Every company does if it hopes to remain successful. In addition, making it difficult to call corporate with a complaint is counterproductive. You may filter out some wing-nuts, but sooner or later you will infuriate someone smart enough to find out the president's home phone number and call him to complain. OK, the new style is to optimize efficiency by only using email, but there's a reason well designed high pressure systems have a pressure relief valve.
