430 Reviews For Ebay Headquarters & Corporate Office

I sold an item on eBay and the buyer paid $415. I was happy with the profit. The buyer wrote back and said that it was broken. Since it was insured, I told her to take it to the post office and make a claim. She said they told her the number was invalid. (UNTRUE)I knew I had insured it, but called eBay and insurance was verified after a three way conversation with the post office. I told her to go back to the PO and she said that the PO said that she could only file a claim online. (UNTRUE)She said she tried to file online and the number was invalid (UNTRUE). I told her to call eBay for help. She said she wanted her money back. I told her to get help from eBay in making a claim with the PO, that that was what insurance was for. She filed a claim with eBay saying the item was not as described. I escalated the case since the item was as described and I thought this was buyer's remorse since she would not file a claim with the PO. Now after three lies, at least, by the buyer, I, a Top-Rated Power Seller get a broken item back. I AM DONE WITH EBAY.

Is there anyone still alive at Ebay offices? Can never get a live person on the phone. Chat takes two hours wait and still no answer. Anybody got any ideas? I called corporate offices but was told I coulddn't talk to anyone, just leave a message. That is like the check in the mail. So why do we still belong to EBay? Customer support is nonexistant as far as I am concernend.

I also made a purchase of 388.50 after two weeks filed a claim and I'm still waiting for a refund, contacted ebay and there statement to me was case is closed so I filed a appeal and was denied lost 388.50 and never got Item! What a real Joke with customer service "STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHIT COMPANY"

I have reported Countefeit items being sold on EBay for weeks, and they just do not care - they don't do anything about it, except send you a canned email, saying thanks and they will look into it. The same items are sold, then returned, and EBay pays for it thru their buyer guarantee program. So, the seller prices go up. It's like the government - a capitolist outfit making megabucks off of unsuspecting buyers.

Ebay has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I had won and purchased a handbag from a seller who listed the item as new with tags. When I received the handbag the handbag had a very strong odor of cheap perfume, inside and outside the handbag. Also, the gold enamel on the handles had obvious signs of wear as well as a tear at one of the handles. This handbag was not new w/tags! Well, first, the seller has obvious mental issues. From her feedback, she is a unscrupulous, dishonest, money hungry, deceitful psychobitch. To make things short, I returned the handbag after I filed a complaint Ebay. Ebay assured me that the seller has agreed to give me a full refund and that Ebay will reimburse me for the return shipping costs. Well, it's been almost 3 weeks; the seller is refusing to refund me my $30, Ebay has ignored my numberous emails. I spent over 3 hours on the phone waiting for customer service, always getting a recording that the wait is less than 15 minutes. Eventually I got through Customer Service, however, they said they were unable to help me. I had to send Customer Service an e-mail in regards to my complaint against this seller. I am not happy one bit! If I have to take Ebay and that psychobitch seller to court, so be it! Once this is resolve, I plan to cancel my account and never deal with Ebay again. PS Anyone want to create an on-line auction like Ebay....so we can put Ebay out of business for all eternity. We need an on-line auction that has superb customer service, strict rules pertaining to unscrupulous sellers, etc. It's quite obvious that Ebay is a corporate company offering false promises, lies, and the worst customer service in the history of the United States.:)

I wonder if we're all so frustrated that we're not seeing the obvious. example: 1. A new member buys their first item from an established seller and pays by Paypal 2. Item is packaged, insured and shipped immediately 3. Within a week buyer receives a chargeback notice for $46.00 (item not returned) 4. Package arrives from buyer - but is not the item sent 5. Attempts to contact customer support are useless 6. Seller is stuck with a $46 loss and a returned item that's not worth 46 CENTS Technically, the buyer committed mail fraud, which is a federal offense. Also technically, eBay enabled, and assisted the buyer in this scam. So maybe we should be filing complaints with the USPS instead of with a company that has absolutely NO REGARD for the seller who propelled them to their lofty position.

We call it FEE-BAY. I am looking for another auction site. I don't know about the rest of you, but I find the opening page to be very offensive. It is all about how eBay will protect you from the "evil sellers"....

Ebay essentially stole money from me! After I internally shipped two small items which sold for $3.99 and $4.99, they refund more than $65.00 to the buyer without allowing me to show proof of shipping. The buyer didn't even allow for the appropriate time for international shipping before filing a claim and Ebay just stole my money and then some! There are fidicuarly duties that have been breached here and I want my refund!

Ebay used to be the best. I depended on it for everything being that I am disabled and used Ebay auction as a way to pay doctor's bills. I have had multiple problems now with Ebay when it comes to being a seller. Does Ebay not realize they get paid by the seller and NOT by the buyer? The buyer pays nothing. Yet we, the sellers, get the shit end of the stick at every turn. I can not even get ahead anymore as I have people getting items home who admit to me I did nothing wrong. The item was listed correctly, the description accurate, and the shipping fast. But they don't like it and they want to keep the item and they want their money back too. If I do not comply I will get negative feedback. And guess what? Ebay no longer allows sellers to leave feedback for buyers. This is ridiculous. Ebay if you read this, you are losing many sellers everyday, and soon you will have only buyers left, with nothing for them to buy. You will bottom out if you do not change your ways. Sellers are tired of being abused by buyers because you give them all the power and all the privledges, while the sellers get treated like dirt, yet THEY are the ones that pay your salaries. I suggest you straighten up or get ready to lose it all. I will be searching for a better auction site that treats the sellers the way they deserve to be treated, and when I do, I will post it under every search engine I can find.

I am primarily a buyer but on the occasion sell as well. The problem I encountered was total ignorance of the customer service dept. I sold a brand new to the market phone. I was unable to use the tracking option in the ebay software so I had to physically go to the post office and mail the item. I sent it insured for the amount of the item wheich was over 500.00. I received the signed card back, but ebay would not accept and insinuated that it might be fraud. I had to make several trips to the post office and speak to the Post Master. Ebay/paypal (they are one company) said we had to wait 22 days before they would release payment. They refused to recognize the insured tracking number or any other means of proving the item was received. USPS is the Federal Gov and it was delivered to that address and signed for but because it did not show up on their way of "tracking" packages they retain my money. This is criminal. They protect the buyer who now has a disconnected phone number, doesn't return emails but don't protect the seller. We also experienced people messing with our auction by hitting the buy it now, and it winding up to be a bogus person and EBAY charged us again and again even though it clearly was a bogus buyer.

I have been trying to reach a live customer service person for 6 hours. After waiting on the phone for 40 mins...got disconnected. after waiting to chat for an hour..finally got a live person by they disconnected before my question was answered. Waited about another hour...it said I was going to connect in 2 minute, and suddenly it changed to another 55 minute wait.

I held for over two hrs on the phone today and sat in customer support email as well for over two hrs At no time were there less than 250 waiting to speak to their customer support department It seems from reading the above listed complaints I am not alone Your customer service leaves much to be desired. If there is a problem with fraudulent buyers there is no one to help resolve the issue and I will not take back merchandise that is not mine I guess that leaves me no alternative but to deduct it from my ebay selling fees whatever this transaction costs me if I can't get any help in resolving this issue and I will not have this buyer damage my account I guess that's the only way they'll help me if Ebay get a chargeback from me I hate to do that but what other options do I have?? Maybe then they'll listen and believe they'll hopefully resolve it at that time

I wish there was an option for ZERO STARS because that's what ebay deserves. Their customer service is the worst on the planet. It is not possible to contact ebay customer service offline. It is almost entirely impossible to get through to their customer service online. They take you through a long and difficult pathway for help, requiring you to first ask fellow customers to help you solve the problem, requiring you to search their database for help, and a whole host of other requirements. Only then can you send customer service an e-mail that they answer a few days later with a generic response that has nothing to do with your problem. The whole process is exhausting and in the end you are no closer to solving your problem than you were at the start.

I have tried to get ebay live and it has so far taken 3 days. at live I was 168 and well over 2 hours wait. so i called on the phone and was told There is a 92 min wait. what is going on with ebay. I have been a mamber since 1998 . I am about to close my account if I can not get the help I need. there a buyers scamming the sellers and ebay does not care.

Ebay buyer protection? That's a bunch of bull. I have a claim in my favor, the seller was to refund my money back, that was 30 days ago, still no refund, spent about 12 hours total on the phone trying to contact Ebay, well forget about it, they send your around and around between Ebay and Paypal! How is this possible for a business like eBAY to treat its customers like this? They give you the runaround asking some stupid questions that do not help at all, I am waiting now for their online help and it has been 2 hours! Amazon is right there for you, they answer their phones even if it's from India, I will do my business with Amazon from now on! Ebay has gotten to big and can handle customers concerns any more!! I have been buying and selling on ebay for 10 years and the changes they have made really sucks! "Lest we forget" You are never to big to go down the drain!!!

When things go smoothly, eBay can be fun to deal through; but when things go horribly wrong, don't count on anyone to ACTUALLY READ what is written regarding a case. The appeals process is a joke. Incompetent and uncaring. I believe the arbitrator (Chris, in this case) skimmed what was written, got what he thought may have been the point without really making the effort to understand, and pontificated about why a claim was denied. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I've been an outstanding customer, with a 100 percent favorable rating. I have made friends with sellers all across America and beyond. But no more. I will see to it that every one of these sellers knows why they're losing an excellent customer as I phase out my bidding. I just don't understand why eBay is allowing its reputation to become "Buyer beware." The customer care people can only read a script to you of the same information that wasn't helpful when you read it for yourself. They have no interest in your case and no authority. The questions that are supposed to represent the customer's issue would be laughable if they weren't so frustrating. Customer service is worse than poor. You can wait hours, yes HOURS, for a live person, only to have your call dropped because, what, someone there got tired of taking calls? This is not how eBay was built and, in my opinion, is not how it can sustain its currently unsurpassed standing. GM was once considered unassailable, but it forgot its customers and its dealers. EBay is starting down this path. Too bad. It used to be fun.

Tried to change my password this morning - now NOTHING works! Their customer (dis)service phone numbers only refer back to the circular logic, Catch-22 web pages, even the supposed corporate numbers. "Instant chat" has been waiting for four hours! Now I can't get in to cancel my account and can't call them to cancel it. I guess I'll have to wait for a fraudulent charge and then go through the bank and attorney general.

why doesn't ebay post a telephone number or email address for their customer service dept? they give you the runaround asking some silly questions that do not help at all i am waiting now for their online help and it has been 4 hours! i will do my business with Amazon from now on! ebay sucks big time! their buyer protection policy is a joke!

I have been trying to reach someone to give me some assistance that may help others who try to use the ebay to purchase items of all kinds from your web sight. I was almost scamed but looked up the number and found out that that person never worked there or did any type of business with that bank, but did com in looking for a westwrn union delivery for him at the wrong add. The wachovia bank in west palm beach just saved me from loosing $2,8oo on a trike kit and unit that VPP invoice #79230261307 and case id 8RXoZ90J314 from a Karen Hendrix of 1464 W barkley Dr Mobile ,Al. 36606 do not try and find this person for they will not tralk to you only e mails that do not respond.

I went to browse the artwork by artist with my 10 year old daughter and was disgusted by how many male nudes with painted erect penises my daughter got to see! I tried to report them and found there is no way to contact anyone. Call the number and it tells you to click on the live chat button which I haven't been able to find! This is pathetic customer support.
