Ebay's customer service is a JOKE. The people working as reps are very unprofessional and rude. I had a rep give me a $10 credit and then threaten to take it away because I asked a question he didn't like - I then asked to speak to his manager and then he hung up on me!! I called back and got a "supervisor" who did nothing to assist me with my original problem or seem to care that an employee she supposedly supervises behaved in such a manner. I was told I could email ebay customer service under something called "unsolicited ideas" (gotta love the name). So, the supervisor told me to email customer service to complain about the customer service I'd received....REALLY?? she also tried to lie and say she had no way of knowing what the rep's name was that I spoke with and hesitated to tell me her name! The rep who threatened me did in fact take the $10 credit off of my account in the end - and the supervisor was able to see that in her system but didn't seem to care about that either. I have bought and sold many items in a very short period of time on ebay and I refuse to continue doing business with a company that treats their customers like garbage. I'd rather pay full retail price and not deal with all of the BS on ebay and know for a fact that I'm getting authentic & legitimate merchadise. Ebay doesn't deserve my $$!!!!

I've been selling and buying on e-bay for many years now. Recently, I've experienced buyers that are taking advantage of sellers by claiming they didn't get an item and opening a dispute even when I have proof of delivery. PayPal has then put a hold on my account and issued a full refund to the buyer without even letting me state my side of the case. Being treated this way by e-bay is very upsetting. I'm a reliable buyer and seller (100% feedback - top rated power seller) and I never thought I would be so discouraged as to quit using e-bay but, there's no point in trying to sell on the site if e-bay can't support their sellers. We end up losing too much money with e-bay refunding dishonest buyers that are abusing the system. If others are having the same problems that I am I can't imagine the site will have much of a future.

I cannot use your stupid site because I forgot my password and your password retrieval system is absolute SH*T! I cannot remember what information I entered for my security question - it was a pet's name. I have had a number of different pets and none of the names work. Plus, your dumb*ss system keeps looping me back and forth between the security numbers and the phone number for the system to auto-call for verification. This is absolute garbage! Every site has some sort of password reset, where the system sends an email to you with a link to reset the password. Amazon.com who are a monster of a site (compared to yours) does this and yet, you guys have the most user unfriendly password retrieval system. Oh yeah, and I'm not spending a f*cking hour on the phone waiting for your customer service rep to answer.

The seller, gardenvillegarage@yahoo.com will not allow me to purchase the item I won through E-bay. the item # is 220734076420. He also has not link set up to allow pay pal. I do not want to be held responsible for this. I am oent8292. My cell is 412-953-0070.

Hello to ALL of ya'll that have had the EXACT same experiences with ebay AND paypal as I have! Geeeeeeeeeeez, and here I was sitting having a SUPER nice pity party for myself, thinking I was the ONLY one, lol. I have been either on the phone, or "live chat" for 12 and 1/2 hours so far TODAY, and I'm STILL on hold as I type! Ebay gives NO HELP OR SUPPORT, and NEITHER, does paypal, to small sellers, like myself, and apparently MANY, MANY other small sellers! I had one SUPER bad buyer during the holidays, that won a MSRP ring of $90 to $120, for ONLY $29.99, with FREE s&h, paid on the 15th, which I shipped IMMEDIATELY. When it did not arrive to her by the 24th, she sent me an email DEMANDING her money back. I told her that it had only been 6 business days, and ALL of my listings say that buyers have to give items 10 business days to arrive, but that I would be MORE than happy to refund her money as soon as she returned the expensive ring back to me. She NEVER would respond to ANY of my messages to her since, and went STRAIGHT to paypal and filed a claim against me on CHRISTMAS DAY! I tried to dispute her claim, but ALL fell on deaf ears at paypal, and they refunded her money, AND, she kept the ring! When I contacted ebay AND paypal about this, ebay said they didn't do anything, (which I totally agree with), and paypal told me ALL they could do was send the buyer an email and tell her that it wasn't "fair" that she got her money refunded, and her not return my ring! (Big whoopieeee, for all the good THAT did!) Ebay does EVERYTHING, AND SO DOES PAYPAL, to protect buyers, and does NOTHING to protect small sellers, like myself, and the rest of you guys out there, that the same thing is happening to. I was even told by someone at ebay today, that I should list my items on 4 to 5 OTHER sites, ALONG with ebay(Finally something that made sense!)! I have now been put on limitations on ebay, and can NOT list a SINGLE item, due to a few buyers with "so-called" buyer's remorse, when ALL that actually is, is "Can I really get this item for free?", AND, if you are asking ebay OR paypal, the answer is, "YES, YOU CAN!" All you have to do is "threaten" a seller with low DSR's, or LIE to ebay and paypal to get your money refunded, AND get to keep the item for FREE! I, for one, refuse to play THAT game! I take actual photos of my items, so the photos speak for themselves, and I check each and every item, as soon as they arrive to me, to check for defects, and to make SURE all of my items are STAMPED they are indeed solid 925 silver! I realize ALL of my rants and raves against ebay and paypal's policies, or lack there of, will fall on deaf ears, EXCEPT those of you in the same SINKING SHIP I am in. Does ANYONE know of other "better" sites, like ebay USED to be, to list items for sale on? If you do, PLEASE drop me an email at nakedanblonde2@yahoo.com. I wish you ALL the VERY best of luck with ebay and paypal, as my experiences with BOTH have been WAY LESS than desireable, and God bless, Linda

I have a problem with Paypal and cannot get it resolved with what seems close minded fools. Anyone at corp care to assist?

My husband and I have had so much problems different problems with pay pal and ebay that it is amazing. Especially in view of the fact that they aren't joint purchases, nor made on the same computer, paid with the same credit card and I only use my maiden name..How is it that they are making so many mistakes lately? The worse think that they could have done was to make it impossible for their customers to contact them. EBAY AND PAYPAL: News flash. If someone pays you for an item you DO owe them that item. And common decency dictates that you help the buyer and the seller with the transactions so that they are both left feeling that their time and money was spent fairly and you aren't the only ones who received gratification.

I am a seller and I truly think that it is time that we bombard Ebay's headquarters with letters informing them that we are unhappy with their policies. If we do not sell they will not make money. If sellers boycott Ebay for a month they will realize that their is no Ebay without us. Their new policies are encouraging buyers to steal from us because of the ebay buyers protection policy and get refunds through feedback extortion. If a company allows buyers to do this to sellers they are doing this to us too.

Ebay facilitates some users to steal from others. Contact me if you wish more explanations. I attempted speacking with a cistomer rep and I got the same picture so stay away ebay is a thiefs heaven

eBay's Trust and Safety department leaves much to be desired. I sold and item labeled "FOR PARTS ,NOT WORKING" for $7.50 The buyer left negative feedback because it didn't work. The Trust and Safety Department said only feedback with profanity can be removed. Lies and misinformation are obviously permitted. Sadly,HONEST Sellers aren't protected.

i purchased an item from "biggestjim_50" he listed an old email address and it was virtually impossible to contact him and when i did he just blew me off stating he sent the item to the listed address (somehow ebay picked up a 10 yr old address out of my profile??? go figure). if i had been able to contact him in a timely manner i would have altered the delivery address, however there's no one to talk to and the automated process really sucks-no where do they list my complaint or problem, and they were not very helpful when i was finally able to communicate with someone. all in all i will never ever use bay again.

Dear Sirs: Back in early 2007 I wrote a proposal to Ebay...specifically Mr. Donahoe. I have reason to believe Ebay may be doing business with Galli Associates, Inc a NC incorporation. If this is so please contact me at 724-256-5972. I now live in PA but in 2007 I was residing in NJ. The corporate EIN and Charter may have been illegally copied and that my name and Father's personal social may have been used illegally to open a corporate bank account. I have reason to believe that Ebay may be paying a fraud account. My Father's social and all my corporate materials have been stolen. Also people may be mis-representing the company and perhaps my person. The proposal I wrote was a marketin and financial based piece and I wrote it in Hamilton NJ. Please get back to me immediately. I have dissolved this company in 2009 Philip M Galli 724-256-5972

I say why not a class action suit to shut ebay down. Are you all with me?

Ebay is now allowing people from outside the country to list on their site and state that they are in the N.Y. or somewhere in the United States. These people have feedback of at least 20 positives and 98% positive (minimum), but yet no one knew that they were not located in the U.S.? Also, they have Paypal accounts...that state that they are outside of the U.S.! Ebay owns both companies...why do they not cross verify information? They are commiserate in international fraud. They also then remove the fraudulent listing from ebay...giving the buyer no record of the transaction AT ALL on the ebay side. Paypal shows the listing number and the (supposed) email address of the seller, THANK GOD!, or else I would not have a record of 4 transactions! I would not ever buy without Paypal...knowing this...and I DEFINITELY stop using them....unless they get this fixed! They cannot legally remove a record of a sale from the view of the buyer...they need to allow us access!!! We have to verify the item, the full contents, the condition and the shipping information etc. Lawyers...please look at a class action suit and I am there!

I was on eBay for ten years. I brought my brother in the business and then he started his own ebay business. He had issues with his account and owed eBay money as well as paypal. They closed his account and closed my account because we have the same name and work out of the same building. Paypal had a $25k reserve from me as well as holding 5% of my sales and they still decided to close my account. I contacted trust and safety several times but the communication is horrible. My paypal rep is the smartest one cause she knows everything is separate and that my business isn't linked to my brothers. I will start selling on Amazon.

Awful experience. Operator/associate refused to give me her id or transfer my call to anywhere within the United States. PayPal on the other hand seems to run like a well oiled machine in comparison. After this, I'm pretty much done with ebay.

For over 20 years we ran a Used Car store and Repair Shop with no problems and a lot of return customers because we strove to maintain Customer Satisfaction. I used Ebay with our company for a number of years also maintaining 100% customer ratings. After we closed our business I began to sell our personal belongings, some for as high as $1000.00, a hat to Greece for $235.00 and maintained Customer Satisfaction Feedback of 100%. Then came Blueilady0. In August she bought a tabletop decoration from me that included an electric waterpump. She received the item and emailed me back that it came as described and worked the first time that she turned it on but that a few hours later when her husband came home and they plugged it in they smelled something burning and the motor no longer worked. She asked me if I had a replacement or how she could get one. I replied that I did not have a replacement and suggested she try a hobby shop. The buyer then demanded a refund and sent it to arbitration. Ebay decided in her favor and refunded her money to her before I ever received the article back. A few weeks later I opened the box and took out the pump to find the information to order a new one. I still had the pictures I had taken of the pump I had sent and the pump in my hand was not the same one I had sold and sent. This one showed obvious signs of age and wear and tear. I contacted Ebay and have been contacting them for over 3 months. I have spent hours on the phone and the computer. I have been told that I would recieve reimbursement and removal of feedback. That didn't happen. I was told that I would receive reimbursement for the pump (which I thought was fair not remembering that I had already paid for shipping) and the Feedback would be reviewed. Neither happened. I have wasted a whole Christmas selling season because of the Negative Feedback which is now obvious was part of a scam and I cannot get anyone from Ebay to contact me. I am now starting with ecrater and I hope that this stays more people friendly and honest.

Been trying for 2 days to get Ebays "Turbolister to work...chat on line said "we are a general problem support group and for this I had to email turbodata@ebay.com" (This after waiting 20 mins to get to them)...still waiting....tried calling corporate, all you get is automated system that takes you nowhere...they have absolutely NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. As a note to several of the above, it seems that a Class Action Lawsuit against Ebay for any/all unauthorized payouts from seller's acc'ts over the last 3 years would be in order. Virtually ALL sales on Ebay are FOB point of origin and any/all loss/miss delivery is TOTALLY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER! Ebay has no LEGAL right to debit a seller's account without their expressed consent for those problems. Further that with Ebay's current policy of not allowing Sellers to offer the option of shipping insurance to buyers should make them doubly liable.
