The question is can ebay and paypal freeze my funds on a sale if my account is and has been for several years 100% rated perfect with paypal and ebay? I was sent US dollars for items sold yet ebay and paypal froze the account for up to 21 days?? my funds are FDIC insured and us dollars placed in a bank for me. There is not one bank in the united states that can freeze availiable cash funds period, only checks deposited and that is for a few days at most until a check clears. This is just flat out wrong its not good Business. My first step was to call them that was a Nightmare second step is this note. Third step will be to go public on Youtube, Facebook, and more.

Seller screwed again!I have had a problem with non paying buyers! I called ebay and they told me if I wanted to relist my items they would give me 50% off my final valuation fees! I even had the persons name that told me this, and ebay said tough he was not authorized to do so! So ebay will now lie and cheat to get your business! Ebay as all publicly traded companies soon just say screw you, we need the profits! WE ARE THE 99%

Received counterfeit item from seller that lives in Canada payed 160 for a pair of glasses and what was suppose to be an authentic item( when received item worth maybe 20$ if that and broken)..escalated case to eBay won the case also took picture to proof the item is fake and broken.. So now here come the part when I'm really mad.. It will cost me 65$ to ship the item back!! Almost half if what I payed for how fair is that. I think seller should be responsible to pay for that not me.. I was saving for the glasses for over 2 months.. And now I really don't have the Money to send the item back..so I'm stuck with fake broke item and the seller will have my money..

Would LOVE to join a Class Action. I am DONE with ebay as a Seller AND a Buyer. Right now, as I type this, I've been on hold, disconnected and on hold again for over 37 minutes because of a billing error on their part. I took advantage of their "FREE 5000 listing" promotion, but their computer dinged me for listing fees anyway! My first call was days ago - I got a gal in another country (don't get me started on THAT) who "promised" me that she'd "personally" make sure the fees were reversed. HAHAHA. Days later, wasn't done. I call again. Get someone named "LOTIS" in another country, who doesn't understand the problem. Asks the same questions several times. I ask for her supervisor. She guarantees me SHE can handle this call. I say NO, I want a supervisor. She puts me on hold for 10 minutes then the line goes dead. I call back and now sit on hold again. Of course, they also conveniently FORCE linking to Paypal (their own company) to pay themselves automatically, so even if charges on an invoice are disputed, you can't stop them from paying themselves. This seems 100% illegal and fraudulent. I want a direct phone number to their corporate HQ or even their LEGAL department. I think it's time for a class action, media investigations, attorney general investigations and more. OMG. As I'm typing - I was on hold for 10 minutes, and now the line went dead AGAIN. UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE. I HATE EBAY. Yes, someone should absolutely set up a website to report bad buyers. In addition, we MUST get a major class action going here - even their ownership of Paypal (and requirement that we use Paypal) seems to violate the law. Dialed back, and now estimated wait time is 7 minutes with that crappy Bach wannabe music. I'm now at 43 minutes this morning. I HATE EBAY.

Buyer beware of (supremesolution) Seller sold me a Fake watch (supremesolution) contacted the seller and ship the item back to the return address on the box (PO Box 1504) East Lansing MI on October 17, 2011. The post office attempted to deliver the item on October 19 and left a note, but the seller call to forward the item to a new address PO Box 71795, Madison Heights MI on October 24, 2011. Knowing that the Seller knew about the watch and forwarded to a new address, I request to have my money back immediately but he state that he doesn’t have the item, therefore he can’t give me the money until he physically have the money. The item was delivered to his forwarding address on November 5th 2011, but I’m still having a problem in getting my money back. I have attempted to reach the seller via email, but no response. I contacted ebay and I cannot seem to get my money back because of a slow and painful process. As of November 17, 2011 I still haven’t received my money.

Wow I have just experienced the worst customer service ever in LIFE. I have been restricted based on ONE INDIVIDUAL that claims my product is FAKE. I have worked with several customers and have never received a complaint about my products and service. If a customer has a problem I was willing to provide a full refund. Yet this person with only (6) Feedbacks, complains and my account is restricted. I called 5 times and all five times I was placed on hold then my call was dropped. The customer service department is obviously "OUT SOURCED" OVER SEAS. They DO NOT PROVIDE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION TO THE SELLER!!!!!

Been a trusted seller for 10 years. Over the last month, I've been screwed by E-Bay for the last time. Shipped to a buyer at a college address (stupid on my part, I guess) Buyer refused delivery on an item listed as unreturnable - then filed a claim against my account. Not only did I have to eat the item, but had to pay return shipping. Closed my E-Bay account and my paypal account. Will seek to join any class action suits against EBay that I can find. Hope they all rot in hell.

how would you like i posted a comment on here earlier about how ebay is all about the buyers and for the sellers and the removed it ....i guess they dont like hearing the bad comments about them .well the truth hurts .as a ebay rep told me take one for the team

ebay does not do anything for their sellers . i had a dispute opened on me from a person who had 19 feedback saying they didnt receive their item he never contacted me first just opened the disputed i proved the item was sent that it was accepted in adamstown pa and sorted their philadelphia pa proving the item was sent but i got told by a ebay rep that i should just take one for the team cause every business loses money once and in a ahwile cause their was nothing they could do . because they cant prove he recevied the item . but i prove i sent it and because it might be lost in the mail i am held responciable for it .. so we send things threw the mail and if it gets lost its not the post office's fault it is the ebay sellers that gets blamed and not only are they giving the money back to this person but i dont even have the item back so as far as i know he could already have the item cause again ebay told me the other countries dont have to scan the items when they come in so this person could already have the item and just saying he dont bottom line EBAY IS NOT FOR THE SELLERS THEY ARE ONLY FOR THE BUYERS WHICH IF IT WASNT FOR THE SELLERS THERE WOULD BE NO EBAY . sorry just very upset about this whole matter

I will no longer use EBAY! Craiglist and the Local Newspaper can sell my stuff just as cheap and easy. I just attempted to contact Customer Service and it was an endless loop of "put in your code #" I put it in, "Thank You, That is a valid code number" Then "put in your code #" Ya- no way of ever talking to a person this way. Also, what if a buyer is threatening your rating. Before the handeling time is even up, I am getting an angry email from a buyer saying he bought something else on the same day & that is already there, so the package he bought from me should be there as well. I reminded him of the 5 day time I had and that it had not been 5 days yet. The Buyer basically cussed me out and threatened me. THANKS ebay customer service for helping me with this - NOT.

Glad to see I am not the only one so upset with EBay. I am highly offended with being called a thief by Ebay. Holding my money after selling for 6 yrs on their site really makes me sick. The dsr policy is a sham. If they can affford to give top sellers up to 35% in discounts then they are overcharging everyone 35%. Corporate Greed at its worst. The reason they do not listen to the sllers is because we are all replacable. They do not have to VALUE our business. Wonder why they do not survey the customer survey calls to improve. Wonder why when they changed the feedback forum and thousands of original sellers exodus off the site, they did not care. Its too bad that there is not a comparable site out there, YET. Ebbay needs a little compitition to wake them up. No wonder their market shares are falling. If 20,000 people complained would they listen, I think not. Really Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please check with the current class action lawsuits against ebay and paypal. You will see they were sucessfully sued for 3.8 billion dollars this year. These people will be out of business soon enough!

Was duped by a fraudulent buyer. She gave a bogus mailing address and the entire transaction was a nightmare to deal with. Long story short, she leaves me negative feedback. I've been a seller on eBay for 12 years and have had nothing but 100% positive feedback. I pride myself on selling honestly. And it took this one girl (who had had an eBay account for just a few months) to permanently harm my feedback. eBay takes the side of the buyer no matter what. The seller has no rights anymore and it's totally unfair. eBay is one sided and their feedback is corrupt.

I bid on and bought an item that was not as described. opened a case, escalated the case and appealed the decision. Ebay won't budge an inch. They say the seller's description was accurate and will NOT further the case. I said that I wanted to send the item back to ebay and have them look at it physicaly and then make a decision.No! No! No! We can't. Asked how they can say that I had buyers remorse and that is not covered on ebay's 100% guarantee buyer's protection. I think they mean the "sellers" protection! How can they make a decision on buyers word / sellers word without even seeing the item that is in dispute. Asked for a supervisor on the 5 separate phone calls I have made. Guess what? NO SUPERVISORS!! You can't tell me that there is not a single supervisor monitoring calls. Well maybe that's why we can't get any answers. We are calling outside the United States, calls are being answered in Korea, they barely speak any english. No! I am NOT racist one bit! I just want to speak to somebody that I can understand. Well I am going to work my way up the coraporate ladder and if I can't get my $62.99 back from ebays 100% guarantee buyers protection, I will call every TV station in Seattle and stir up a big story about ebays so called buyer protection! Dear fellow Ebayer's: Today, we had a very bad situation happen with one half of this very greedy American Corporation!! First: as ususal, posted all 9 of my items to list for either direct "buy now or Buy now in a Auction". So, did all the usual lising requirements, checking all the numbers 3 times per listed item before submitting them for "listing" then, once all nine items were fully listed we Preforme a full Page Pring screen showing all the "numbers" per listing and also showing each listing with a "reserve not met" and or buy now, etc". What happened is ebay's so called "system" allowed a reserved item to be sold to a cutomer for $ 2.00 US which is $ 83.00 less than the "reserved" and highly documented price!!! what we were told by the so called "represetative" on the 2nd tier level was that for sure, Ebay can not ever see (after the listings go along in time), they can NOT reproduce the original listing in case of a so called dispute such as this one. NOW, not sure how many of you all go to real "live" auctions, but when this happens, the auctioneer just wipes out both parties and puts the item back on the auction block and resells it. This so called crap that Ebay is shovling NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!! The customer's Both: buyers and sellers all need better situations to buy/sell products. NOW, being the gentleman that the buyer is, not even sure if he gave a bad feed back or not as we've closed our account all together anyway, is the one that is on the short end here because we're not shipping the products and losing $ 83.00 per unit. NO one can afford to stay in business like that and we certainly pray that all you people, both, buyers / sellers that have any kind of similiar situations as this or if you all can find others with similiar situations that may be closer to your own, it's time to take this company to a class action suit!!!!!!! CORPORATE GREED IS WAY OUT OF CONTROL, now it's not even about the actual money so much as it is more about "customer service". NOW, we also know that not every situation has or will ever have a resolution, but when people in the 100's and 1000's start to complain about the same or very similiar situation, then it's time!!! Also, we're not sure (and if anyone is, please let us know) if ebay has an "auctioneers" license in all 50 states along with all the other overseas juristictions that it's working from. We're a very small auction style company and just reading the state by state regulations, don't see how ebay is totally in compliance with more than half of them? NOW, in 2012, everyone selling on ebay is going to be reported to the federal governement? so, there goes all your Backyard profits out the window! if for no other reason, it's definitely time to find and or start a better service that this site can ever possibly offer now that it's as bid as it is. also, when a company has "customer service reps" they really should all be speaking the same language because we've got recordings of the same issue trying to be dealt with by more than three of the representatives and they all handled it very differently. it's just rediculous that companies are allowed to screw the CITIZENS OF ANY COUNTRY, NEVER MIND JUST THE USA CITIZENS. NOW, our American Government better smarten up and and start dealing with the corporations better instead of the politicians getting richer and richer by accepting "pocket" money from these companeis to look the other way! There's NO false statements here as all can be backed up in written form! hope you all have much better luck with selling / buying online than this companies rediculous and valueless policies are now doing. dear ebay/paypal monopoly, i have been a distinguished account holder until today when after a client paid me for an item and you illegaly and without prior notice and after talking with 3 supervisors from both ebay and paypal decided to call me a unreputable seller and buyer and decided to hold the funds of my sales for no other reason then to collect interest on my money, so without going in to details that i have already discuused more than i wished to, i have decided to reverse the scam on you; so you can keep a hold on my money for 21 days and my loss in interest is 2.95 a day x 21 days which equals 61.95 and i owe you 53.68 so i will no longer use your services and not pay your bill and we are even. if you want to treat me like a crook, i will act like one. have a nice day!!!!! ASSHOLES.

Ebay is a prime example of what the Occupy movement is all about. The top Ebay sellers should put together a web site just for the rip-off and just downright bad buyers. Something that would be alphabetical so the HALL OF SHAME names could be easily looked up. Then they could be deleted before an auction ends therefore not giving the bad apples the opportunity to leave negative feedback or rip-off the next seller. If I knew how to do this I would do it right now. I have over 600 positives with only two negatives. one was the post offices fault (admitted by the buyer in his follow-up feedback) The other was over a matter of .50c by a stupid newbie in which the buyer never contacted me. The whole sale including shipping was $2.00. In an email to him I stated that if he had contacted me I would have gave him a full refund and let him keep his purchase but now he has to shove it up his ass instead. I then hit him with a richly deserved neg. (ahhh The good old days). It is a shame that there are bad sellers out there but they wouldn't last long if ebay did a proper job monitoring and getting rid of the bad apples. But that might just be to difficult, take too much of an ebay employee's time and hurt the bottom line. (EBAY WAKE UP. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A BAD THING AND IT WOULD BE GOOD FOR YOUR BOTTOM LINE). Bad buyers are more prevalent and do not deserve better treatment than bad sellers. As a seller in the days when I could leave neg. feedback, I would hold my feedback till I knew the buyer was happy at least this way he or she would be forced to contact me an give me the chance to make things right. Google... I think I hear a golden opportunity knocking. The time is right. Don't let this chance pass. We want... Nay, we need something better and judging by ebays current performance this shouldn't be too hard to do at all.

What I don't understand is why those of you who are leaving negative comments (well deserved I might add) about eBay are giving eBay 5 stars? Huh? Anyway, my experience as a seller and a buyer on eBay is that it is always worse for sellers. Sellers who are small are being driven away by large fees and unfair rules that favor unscrupulous buyers and seem to want to drive away anyone who isn't a large Hong Kong corporation or drop-shipping mega seller. eBay used to be a fun, interactive, useful site where buyers and sellers could find cool items to buy, earn some extra cash, and maybe make a friend or two along the way. It has already been said here, but in essence selling on eBay has become a nerve wrecking experience of desperately attempting to be perfect while (on the slightest whim) the buyer can "punish" you and eBay turns their guilty heads in pseudo-ignorance. It is exactly like being a child in the home of a couple of abusive parents. You never know when the next hit is coming, but it IS coming. I am no longer co-dependent enough to subject myself to eBay's mistreatment. I only continue as an eBay seller in order to clear out my remaining stock, but I will be seeking alternative venues in earnest soon. I have already determined to NEVER sell my originally produced items on eBay. When my garage sale stuff is gone, so will go eBay. Good riddance.
