I am "The67Rook" on Ebay--an active account---------for now.......When shipping items as a "Seller"--there is an option you click--to pay for that shipping "now" or when the buyers money clears. Trust me--it doesnt matter WHAT you click--on several sales they took it immediatley. To make it worse--the money--while available in my PayPal account, and waiting to be sent to my bank (no--no holds on it)--wasn't touched--they hit my bank account without permission--repeatedly overdrawing this account. Thank God it's set up JUST for Ebay--as in dealing with customer service--IF they are litterate--you're lucky. Understanding of English would be another matter entirely. Ebay cust. service in fact saw the mistake (all documentation I keep from copies of Email re: Ebay shipping, to well---all of it--and you'd better too !) admitted the mistake--and wanted to give me credit on "selling fees" @ $35.00 for 4 months. Fine,each overdraft was $35.00--(of course this does nothing for my credit) This morning in checking the account--fees are due--no mention of credit. I called--guess how that went? Endless rhetoric, unrelated conversation, "hold" for days, and then flat out refusal. You know who I am--seller name is up top. I am considering legal action as I've got my ducks straight--I can at least be a thorn in a very greedy paw.

It sounds like there are allot of ebayers our there who beleive the seller has no rights. I do not sell allot on ebay, just items from my personal collection every once in a while. i have been doing this for years and recently they have started holding my funds and telling me it is for my protection. So, i sell a $2000 item you hold on to the money and i mail an expensive handbag to total stranger who can say or do anything or simply say they received an empty box and ask for their money back. At this point, I would have no money and no bag. After reading all of these posts I know i am not the only one. Ebay and paypal are holding on to millions of dollars and earning interest that does not belong to them. I am seriously considering contacting a lawyer. Based on reading numerous posts i beleive their would be more than enough complaints for a class action suit to be filed against Ebay!

Im a full time student and mom that found a great way to supplement my income(or atleast I thought). After several months of trial and error I had achieved my goal of $200 a week takehome and a 100% feedback score.That all came to a screeching halt when I recieved an email from a buyer that the item I had sold her was "filthy dirty"and broken. Her description did not fit my item at all. I told her this and she of course insisted that she get a full refund since the item did not match the description.I normally would refund customers that were not satisfied with their purchase but this lady had said that I sent something broken and dirty , which I know that I did not.So you would think that ebay has something set up for fraudulant comlaints but no they automatically choose the buyers word and force you to refund their money and accept whatever if anything they send you back. For the most part alot of buyers are honest but there is always going to be that few that arent. I think my expectations of ebay were set way too high. I expected more than I have to take the loss because of a lying, theiving buyer. Sellers beware !!!! If your thinking that ebay protects you and your merchandise , your in for a big surprise. So for now I refuse to let liars take advantage of me and my werchandise, so I am on ebay strike. Thats right , no more buying or selling until I am guarenteed protection against buyers who are so disshonest its disgusting.Thanks and have a good day.

I purchased a football trading card numbered 117/150. The buyer stated there was a 1 centimeter crease on the card. If its just a small crease that is fine with me. Buyer charged me 99 cents for shipping. I got the card in a regular letter envelope with the card looking like it was bent in half. I opened a case and said item was not as described. The card had a 3 inch crease across it. Ebay ruled that the seller won because they said there was a crease on the card. I then sent the card back to the seller because in his return policy he states returns within 7 days will be refunded. So I sent the card back and its been over a month later and still no refund. I messaged the seller 4-5 times. They finally responded today when I told them I would take them to small claims. The seller told me that they have the card and that they would send it back to me if I paid the return shipping. I just about laughed. Why would I give this thief more money? That is just ridiculous. I talked with Ebay customer support and buyer protection each time being transferred and having to tell them the same information multiple times. I asked them if I could get a refund because the seller has said to me that they are in possession of the card and my money. After and hour and a half on the phone someone (Tori C.) finally told me they will email the seller and ask them to send the card back or issue a refund. Then I was told that if the seller doesn't send back the card or issue a refund then it will be up to me how I get my refund back. How is this possible?? They are letting a buying on their website take my money and my item. Everyone at Ebay are crooks that help out other crooks because they get a profit from it. Its just incredible to me that they get away with this. I suggest you be extremely careful. Always include a tracking number. NO MATTER WHAT. Hopefully my problem will be solved.

To Whom It May Concern, Due to time constraints I want to comment on the outstanding customer service I received from two of your employees today. Lizette (in the department that responds to unpaid items issues) and Elliot (who stated he's the only one in "Trust and Service" department). Their professionalism and courtesy demonstrated during our interactions today, due to an unpaid item issue that was my fault (though unintentional), was exemplary. As someone who values outstanding customer service, I hope that in some way, shape or form these two individuals get some sort of pat on the back for a job well done. My experience with Ebay has been nothing less than positive and I would hope that these two individuals, at the very least, receive some sort of recognition for doing an outstanding job on your behalf. Everyone hears about negative feedback they receive concerning their performance...I so hope you take the time to let them hear about this positive feedback. After all, it's what makes all of us want to do a better job - knowing that the effort we put forth is appreciated. Also, it's the subject of a book I'm writing. It would be very nice to receive some sort of response acknowledging receipt of this feedback. Ebay made a sound choice hiring these two people. Have a pleasant day. Regards, Daniela

I sold an item to a co. called WATCHCHEST who bid and won but REFUSED TO PAY.I filed a dispute thru Ebay and got NO help at all and was told that I can't even leave negative feedback! WATCHCHEST lists "100% positive feedback" on their pages but we know that's not the case! They are deadbeats that don't pay for what they win. Ebay was useless in helping and their cust. svc. is a joke. They should just have a monkey at a desk since that's about all the help I got!!!! Screw Watchest and Ebay!!!!!!

I am so frustrated with the way eBay treats sellers I am ready to expel eBay from my life. I have been with eBay for over 10 years. I have been a considerate, caring, honest seller and a buyer as well, and now get treated like a criminal. I have had perfect feedback for years and thousands of transactions as a single person who believed eBay was a good, decent company to deal with. However, now I have not been able to speak with an English speaking American for a very long time. All calls go to Asia. WHY? I want to speak to anyone who knows what I am talking about, can understand my situation, and does not just read out of a manual. What the heck eBay? I spent over a decade being a loyal customer, now you hold onto my money, there is no American to talk to, you tell me I should lose more money than I do, and I am really angry!!!!!! Sellers need protection too!!!!!! I had a lady get an item, she lied to you, I offered her the stars and she never would return my item and you said I had to refund her money. So this thief got the item, her money back and gave me negative feedback, when I did everything but die for her. Another buyer said a $50 collectible Carebear she paid $9.99 for stunk because I put a cling free sheet (as she was worried if a stored item would stink) in the package. She returned it. I refunded her money and shipping, even though I made a special trip to the P.O. before Christmas, paid lots for shipping to get it to her in time for holiday. She returned the bear DESTROYED/SMASHED. I took pictures. There is no smell after it was out of pkg. for one day. She destroyed a collectible item, got her money back even though I said no refunds (we do not have this option we have to return and refund anything for any reason,why bother using this option?) She cost me over $100.00 and the previous cost me $88.00. Both gave me negative feedback. I communicate with everyone, answer all questions, and I am getting screwed. I lose a little here or there, to be expected, but I feel I am at the mercy of any buyer, with no rights, considerations, or any help of any kind from eBay. I have been loyal for over 10 years. Don't you give a darn about anything, loyalty for one? Oh, THE ASIANS DON'T KNOW WHAT CLING FREE IS! How could they answer my questions? There are Americans that need jobs badly and you employ mostly ASIANS,WHY???? EBay is bound to collapse soon as this rate. You need to care for all customers, buyers and sellers, but this is absurd! I do not deserve negative feedback from these people and I have no recourse. I apologized (for no reason) asked them to change it and there is no way. They do not give a darn about anything besides stealing from people. When Im received a pop-up promotion from mty Ebay account clearly stating that seller fees will be waived if I do not sell, I said to myself, well, what do I have to loose? WELL, a lot, I later found out. The fine print about what I would be charge regardless if I sell or not, WAS NOT VISIBLE OR TRANSPARENT IN THE PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL TO GET ME ON THE HOOK TO SELL. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. IT IS NOT FAOR. CHICANERY, PURE AND SIMPLE, USED BY ALL OF THE BIG CORPORATE INSTITUTIONS, BANKS, ETC. EBAY IS THE NEW BANK OF AMERICA ALONG WITH PAY PAL!

As a "top rated seller" I got a 20% discount on ebay selling fees at the end of the month. My last statement was over $300 in fee's. After doing almost 600 ebay sales over the past year, I ended up with 3 people who gave me low score on shipping time. I ship items within 24 hours but the post office may deliver the item in 2 days or 2 weeks! Because of 3 low shipping time scores, I no longer get my discount. THANKS USPS. Thats one half of one percent of my buyers that gave me a low score for shipping time, yet they still gave overall positive feedback. So 99.5% of my buyers gave me high scores for shipping but that's not good enough for ebay. I filed an appeal with their useless customer service dept over a month ago and was promised an answer within 3 days. I repeated this process 2 more times and still haven't heard a thing from them. After reading page after page of ebays feedback here I still have yet to hear one good review! So 99.5% customer satisfaction is not good enough for me from a company that cant even muster a single good review on themselves! There's nothing worse than hypocrites. $3,000 in fee's PLUS another $2,000 in paypal fee's is not enough for ebay. Now they want an extra $700 a year extra by eliminating my discount? Greedy, self serving scum! Some day they will have some real competition. Until then I'll do my buying on ebay for free and sell elsewhere! Idiots are going to screw me out of $60 and lose $5,000 as a result.

Here is a copy and paste of my message to an Ebay seller on feb 7,2012; "To Ebay seller;I do not know why my Paypal payment is taking so long to clear. It cleared my bank on feb 3(4 days ago).I think Paypal likes to hold money so they can make interest off of it..Neither a buyer or seller has the funds,but they do.They do it to millions of transactions a day,for no good reason.They would say that it is for "security reasons".I also do not know why this payment had to be an e-check,as my payments are always instantly paid for my 1000+ paypal purchases since 2003.I have 3 bank accounts and 2 credit cards on file. Internet banking and buying sucks. Hopefully,you will get your payment some day,so I can get my hard drive, so I can sell my spare laptop some happy day in the way far off future in a happy time. One day people will get pissed,and paypal will be much more regulated,as banks and credit cards are. Paypal has gotten too big for their britches,as it were. It is also lame that Ebay has forced everyone to use Paypal,that they own. One has no option to send a check or money order anymore. They would say that it is for "security reasons" They tried the same thing in Asia,but everyone got pissed and boycotted Paypal,so Paypal backed off. In their defense; Paypal has been very helpful to me when sellers have attempted to rip me off. They will snatch your money right out of a bad sellers bank account,and get it back to you. I would not like to be on the receiving end of that kind of event.

Thieves in the night. I was selling items and they pulled all my auctions because they said I had a link to by ex-husband's account. Been divorced for two years and they will not let me sell, but it is ok for me to BUY stuff on their site. Drop dead assholes!

Ebay sucks never deal with them again, Dont talk to their customer service,cant help you, seems their the judges that make decision, everything they said trying to bring to third party or contact your shipping carrier or did you buy insurance. i bought insurance what is the purpose of seller protection

Ebay placed a hold on my payment until 3 days after delivery. The item was delivered on 2/01/12. The release date for my funds was 2/03/12. The buyer left positive feedback the same day of delivery. I called Ebay and asked them to release the funds since they could confirm delivery and the buyer had already left positive feedback. The CSR started to tell me their boilerplate response and I just hung up because I didn't feel like wasting time. Then suddenly the release date for my funds was changed to 2/04/12. Obviously that was done by the CSR because I hung up on her and refused to listen to her BS. I cancelled my pending sales and will be closing my account ASAP.

Ebay sucks.. It is as bad as I could have ever imagined. They don't accept non-Paypal forms of payment, and have monopolized the payment process. Their customer support is outsourced and sucks royally; they will laugh at you if you challenge them with a security question. Ebay has become a one way corporate pig, and when you combine the fees from Paypal and Ebay you get fleeced. I'm closing my Paypal, and Ebay account never to attempt it again. They have lost my business as a seller and consumer. To top it off, they have bring politics into the business environment which is I'm going to dance a jig when they go bankrupt, and I seriously hope the management behind the shitty business die of cancer, and the headquarters gets struck by a large former Soviet satellite falling from orbit. Commie pricks!

I clicked the wrong button in the resolution center to give a partial refund on an item a buyer was disputing the condition on. I offered $1499 instead of the full $1514 refund. Paypal refunded the money and now I have no item and no money. I was told that since I offered a partial refund that they buyer was not required to return the item. To top it all off - they buyer is a larger company partly owned by ebay called Sekomeim? that buys stuff on ebay for people in Japan. Ripped of by an ebay company- "nothing they can do" I am told-my mistake. Geez... Wish there were more options for auction sites.

I used to LOVE Ebay...promoted them to everyone..Had a store and lots to sell...had great times at the Ebay Conventions..Learned alot of great tips...thought the World of them...then everything went bad...was it because of new management?? You have messed this up..I sold low price collectibles..things that you had to find the right buyer, so the store worked well for me at 3 cents a listing per month...then came the price hikes, had to get rid of my store..then came the BUYER Protection...okay, I can see that but sellers need protection too!! So NOW all buyers have 100% feedback...duh..really? because that's all we can leave them...then there is the final fees on shipping costs to punish all of us for the sellers that overcharge...then all of a sudden we are offered free listings...hmmm that means Ebay is in trouble...wonder why...and now after selling on Ebay for 10 years and being a Power seller when I could afford my store..I have been slapped down to a below standard seller with all 4.9 ratings in my feedback...okay, what the hell is that about?? Oh, about 4 buyers who can't read descriptions and are unhappy with their purchase and THEN can't communicate with the seller before leaving FB...why should they, we can't leave them any neg feedback...The Founder of Ebay who made a wonderful company is probably cringing at what it has become...Lack of sellers= lack of sales=loss of revenue=no more Ebay conventions and free listings for the sellers who haven't been scammed by inconsiderate buyers yet...I'm a Stockholder so I have an extra interest in this and am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY!! BTW...Our Star ratings on this site are also confusing?? are we rating Ebay?, then mine is right...not sure why there are 5 stars for unhappy Ebayers commenting...

I have purchased a camera ,inside the courier there is no camera and claim also been launched and not been provided genuine reply from ebay as well .finally i am the losing verge of 5K money.....

Dealing with Ebay has been a total nightmare. They suspended my account because I used a stock photo of a totally authentic item and will not re-activate it. I don't think it was such a huge deal that they would block my account. Anyway I also bought 2 handbags from Ebay that were both counterfeit. There are counterfeit items all over Ebay but they claim they monitor this. Yea ok. I notified them about this so 45 mins later and 3 transfered phone calls, I was told someone would call me within 72 hours, needless to say no one ever called. Ebay is the biggest scam going and I will NEVER use them again.

sold an embroidery machine, the buyer did not want it so I agreed to refund her the money when I receive the machine back.So I put the amount $3500 into the paypal account and the money would be released back to the buyer.... However, She did not package the machine properly and she put a 150 lb m=embroidery table on top the crate which collapsed onto the machine during transit. Broke the machine in 6 places, making it useless....so here is my situation...ebay will refund my money after I ship the machine back to the buyer at my cost...$500 to ship it back...they said they can not force her to pay the shipping!!!My money is in "escrow" until she accepts shippment..... how is this fair...she did not crate the machine properly and I am responsible for shipping it back to her at my cost...........Im done with ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will never use e-bay again if this matter is not addressed. Your representative promised me a $10.00 voucher to make up for an incident that took place with a current seller Member id: whatsyourprob for the item: Sony PlayStation 2 Slim Charcoal Black Console (NTSC) (110798312417). I won the bid back on 12-24-11. The seller strung me among for three weeks and your company allowed him to repost and resell my PS2. His account is suppose to be noted for future buyers so I moved forward and won another PS2 for $50.00 ($10 voucher would have made it $40), went to use my $10 voucher only to find out I will not be getting it. Your representative Darlene and her Account Supervisor Roy rather lose a sale and lose my business for good over $10.00. This is a true sign that this company is not what it once was, what a shame! I have wasted over 2 hours on the phone and your corporate office does not even take calls. I will be notifying the BBB in 1 week from today 1-21-12 if you continue to avoid the situation that has been placed in front of you. I am going to still buy this item because it is the right thing to do. The currnet seller will not suffer because of this. It is not about the amount of the voucher but it is the principle. Do what is right or lose my business and my companies business for good. Spat923
