Dish has a practice of NOT REFUNDING your money unless you call and ASK for it. I canceled service and sent back my equipment (cost me $17.00)... 2 months later I remember and look at my account and NO refund from Dish. I called to inquire and was told "The customer needs to initiate the refund by calling" WHAT!??? Dish will automatically charge you if you don't return the equipment but makes you call them to get your refund AFTER they get your equipment. This is a major problem of consumer fraud. Dish is sitting on untold sums of non-refunded money. What company makes a customer have to call back to ASK for their refund? I have filed a BBB complaint and will try to get this practice out to the media and social networks.....
was billed for a defective dvr even though I tracked the unit all the way to their warehouse in South Carolina. Also they padded my bill with several premium services that I had not requested. Regular reps are useless. I ended up filing filing a complaint with the Attorney General of my state.
we have been dealing with your dispatch here in houston tx and its not good they walk away from jobs and dont tell customer that they are leaving they dont show up on time we are writing you first because it was such that for four days we have had someone to wait on your guys and no one has shown for hours after the designed time if the company is run in this manner than i guess it best that we use another service look forward to hearing from you with some type of apalogy if not we will call dun and drad and who ever else we can to stop your commercial as being the best in custermer service we will continue daily to reach out to let the consumer now what is going on. we are in the xommunication buss talk to ya soon on read about it
Customer service is a joke at dish network. We spent over 5 hours on the phone with them trying to get a scheduling problem straightened out. We spent 5 hours of being transferred, hung up on, and lied to. I had to explain to 5 difference CSR how to navigate the Dish Network site - one even told me they are not required to be experts in how their website works. I think they need a major overhaul of customer service!

I called dish net work because I,ve been having problems with my receiver as usual I stayed for at least an hour on the line then they set an appointment next week for today tue. The 14th from 12:00 to 5:00 I called today at noon to check on my appointment after holding for an hour they told me I do not have one for today . The line kept cutting off and every time I called back the line cut off again after another hour I asked for the supervisor after another waiting for ever the supervisor answered with the rudest attitude she said I can not help you and then she said if I do not like our service I,ll transfer you to the cancelation service ..I got so shocked she is very rude ...I reported this to bbb
Had Eagle Satellite who I guess is the provider for dish in the west area of Montana. Is there some reason why the owner is such an ass? I tried to get my appointment straight with him due to the fact that the techs have not shown up for a service call that was placed over 3 weeks ago. Dummy me sat around waiting between the allotted time given. Big giant no shows!!! After discussing what his policy regarding such behavior, the man got very rude. He made reference to how I am not his only customer. so I asked him..."what makes everybody else appointment so much more important than mine. Well, he had know answers other than to complain to me that he was doing me a favor being that I lived 40 miles round trip to that his techs had to travel. He says they can't get to everybody...so we have to reschedule people. Wow! i asked him if he had a policy regarding calling the customers to let them know they have been rescheduled. He said he was not required to do that. Dish Network are these the type of people you choose to represent you? You may want to take a look at this site, cause I see a lot of complaints. Dish Network obviously does not care about their customers. I am dropping you and you can thank Eagle Satellite for that one!!!
Hello, On 7/28 I made a payment on my account of 72+ and was told on my payday I can make a 100 payment and my service will be fine. Today on my payday I call to make the 100 payment on my account and get told nope it is 300. You need to accept the 100 that the billing department originally promised before close of day. Also your service department told me my Joey`s do not work correctly because of a bug in the system and I cannot use full features of the Joey`s I am paying for until they figure it out which is months now. So you want to bill for services that are not functional and turn my service off when your billing department is at fault. I spoke to a Greg (IOF) today and he is less than equipped enough to know what to do. You can look up my account by checking your email, or by talking to the inept Greg (IOF) in your inept billing department. I also demand that compensation be given for services not being functional for months and billing not doing their job forcing me to take time away from my job to do theirs. You may not reply to this or take care of your job but I will be spreading the word about your company and BTW I am in the IT field for 20 years now and very well respected, imagine how we know how to get the word out.
Dish has not only rude customer service reps. They also never can seem to resolve problems. I have used my bank billpay to pay my bills. Everytime I call dish they always say "we have not recieved the payment". Today my husband and I both called on several different times today (8-1-12). This is so frustrating because we pay the bill Dish pulls the money from the account. They claim they do not have the payment. Then after calling my bank they confirm that Dish does have the payment. Our service is disconnected until tomorrow so we hope. We our luck dish will say the same thing and then here go again. After our contract we will find another provider. What ashame started out could in the very beginning. They have dropped so drastically!!!
After a recent storm My dish fail to work I waited one day to give them an opportunity to fix it but instead when I called two days later I was told that it would be a additional week and two days before they could get someone out to fix it.When I ask to speak to the corp.office they transfered mewe to a man claming to be an exective with the company still he could do notheing be take a few bucks off my next bill, So I miss the summer olympics while someone sitts in their thumb. Bad business with the cost of their service.
I have been a dish customer for 15 years, I have 3 accounts and spend over $400.00 a month with them. The customer service and technical help are a joke. The service technicians were seeling hamburgers yesterday and today they are dish experts. Inept and rude. The worst thing is, nobody cares. I am going to leave them and take my business elsewhere. FORGET DISH NETWORK!!!!!
Dish Network's constant JUNK mail... for years now... says,"Ask About High Speed Internet" with service. The fact that the company has no intention of giving information about any High Speed Internet service without first signing the potential customer up for Television Service First... is damagingly manipulative. I'll be doing the "damage" part by warning people not to waste their time and also telling about the misleading business tactics the Dish Network uses. It should be noted that when I called to "Ask About High Speed Internet" I was prepared to sign up for television service! O do not need the television or internet service, I wanted it and... my money will be spent on my terms with "upfront" companies. The Dish Network company policy to not give out information about internet service while at the same time advertising for the customer to ask about it... creates mistrust. Just ask your phone representatives who deal with the calls what they think. Alas, does Dish Network corporate care about phone representative issues? Also... the Dish Network policy to tell representatives in their script to inform as a response to the frustrated caller... "you can go to the phone book and look up internet companies in your area"... Really? That is a stupid insinuation. The script needs to be changed for the sake of public relations all around. It was suggested I write to corporate with my complaints... and waste more time for nothing? I am writing to corporate... to tell the Dish Network that I will not do business with any company of your "type" and to tell Dish network to stop sending randomly addressed JUNK mail to unserviced customers deemed as prey!
DO NO call Phillipines-Based customer service. Call JOE CLAYTON, President of Dish at his office at the direct extension, 720.514.5578 Ask for him directly. You will never speak to him, but will be put to "Executive Customer Service" Don't speak to them either; demand to talk with Clayton's office. At this point, your problem will be solved.
I signed up for DISH on Feb. 3, 2012. I was told that I would receive a $50 gift card for signing up and that it would arrive in 7-10 business days. It's now July 21st and I have called DISH every month spending at least a half hour on the phone and each month I am told that I will receive it in 7-10 days. I just spent over an hour first speaking to two people in India that I could NOT UNDERSTAND and I asked to speak to someone in the U.S. I was transferred to the Philipines. The voice was easier to understand but I learned that I wasn't speaking to the U.S. Service is TERRIBLE. My receiver keeps popping off. I signed up for the top 250 channels but you only get 125 because each channel is in regular and also in HD. DISH PRACTICES DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING, PHONE SERVICE IS LOUSY and WHEN MY CONTRACT EXPIRES, I WILL GO BACK TO DIRECT TV. I had three neighbors move out recently and when new people move in, I will run over immediately and warn them NOT TO TAKE DISH!
DISH network will not take equipment off building when customer is done with them. They suggest the customer remove it themselves. What a waste of equipment and talk about NOT BEING GREEN, they are littering the world with satellite dishes that could be removed and reused!
I signed a 2 year with these idiots, then they drop AMC because of some unrelated lawsuit that they lost!I had nothing to do with that, I just wanted to watch Breaking Bad and Walking Dead, but now they have changed the contract and I feel that legally I have been denied what I signed the contract for! The sad part is I have no problem with the service, picture is excellent, etc, just that this is NOT what I signed up for! I will end the service as soon as possible, sans fees, but the deception and arrogance of dish is unreal...DO NOT SIGN WITH THESE IDIOTS, THEIR CEO IS A COMPLETE MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor customer service. Everytime the network goes out it takes 5 days before you can get someone to come to your home and correct the issue. What happened to taking care of your CURRENT CUSTOMERS before hooking up new customers. This is the 4th time in less than 6 mos and everytime, 5 day wait. Poor, poor customer service.
Dish sucks! I just switched to direct and its no better!! need a reciever for every TV, wehere is that suppose to go in a bedroom with a wall mounted TV?!?! too bad there isnt another choice.
my cable services has been suspended because your company say i did not pay for having not cancel hbo,stars,cimax chanels witch i recieved for 30 day free with my 1year contract and my contract is not due untill may 20013 your company has suspended all my channels it is included in the contract that after 30 days these channels will be no longer be availble unless contacted before the 30 days is up to continue these services.but your company has allowed these channels to continue for a month and now has supended the programes that i have payed for which i see as a breach of contract.
