I have had driectv for at least 10 yrs and they are the most rude service people who do not care about there customers I switched to the the genie service and have had nothing but problems with it I also have the protection plan they were out on friday because I was having problems with both the converters they exchanged the one in the bedroom last night I could not get the 1 in the bedroom to work and again this morningI called driectv and told what was wrong even after I told her what was wrong she had me go back to the bedroom and check what I had just told her then said she had to have someone call me back that means I loose out on business as I work from home and if I can not be on the phone because I have to wait foR the return call I loose money

PLEASE for the love of God, take the commercial off whee the guy is getting by not repaying his friend the $500 that he owes him. Isn't there enough graft and corruption ???????

Apparently, I'm not the only person who has issues with DirecTV. A year ago I switched from ComCast, primarily because DirecTV appeared to be a better deal. It didn't take long to realize that their workers will say anything they think will get you to sign up. "PAC-12 channel? Sure, it will be available within the next week or two. The negotiations are just wrapping up." Almost one year later and still no PAC-12 channel! And don't get me started on the worst customer service ever - that could be a book about how NOT to run a business. When the penalty for switching carriers is at a reasonable level, I'll be a former customer.

Stupidity

The worst service I’ve ever had. 3 different agents and 40+ mins on the phone for a ppv. The management is incompetent. All they won’t is your money with no responsibility.

run do not walk

When I called to set up direct tv the coupon I had said no start up costs. But wait, they forgot to mention on the coupon, there is a start up cost, and oh yeah, additional costs that were not printed. Then, help me God, they asked for my social security! When I refused they said OK give us permission to do a credit and back ground check. I then said, how about if I give you my first born child! Then I ended the call. I called corporate dish tv and guess what, they confirmed they need your social security number. People wake up-why are you giving these people that information!

i canceled my account with direct tv they quick to take your 200 deposit but want you to wait 5 business days to return it there customer service is very rude i wouldnt advise anybody to choose direct tv they need to train there employees they are a scam they better give me my money in the next few days or i will report them to the BBB. Dish Network here i come

terrible customer service

my Direct TV DVR reciever went out and i am trying to talk to someone about it. i was not satisfied with the first person i talked to and wanted to talk to a supervisor. i have been on hold for over 40 minutes. i guess they figure that if they make you wait long onough you will go away.

more work then its worth

This is by far the worst experience ever of trying to cancel service. Everyone i have spoken to is very unhelpful and wont let you get your 2 cents in. Be prepared to pay more then you anticipate O and any card they have on file will get charged more fee's then just cancelling .. READ YOUR STATEMENTS

Cancellation

Direct Tv is such a scam not only can you not cancel when ever you want you have pay a cancellation fee of $300.00 within 21 days of service termination. And supposedly you can not make monthly payments. EVEN THE IRS TAKES MONTHLY PAYMENTS!!! highly unrecomended and unpleasant to deal with.

I am very disappointed. I switched from comcast to direct tv thinking that I would get great quality service for a lower rate. I have had nothing but poor customer service, I have been lied to and then mistreated over the phone by customer care respresentatives. No one is listening or helpful

Service Communication is horrible!!!!!

I have been trying to get service started at my house for over 2 months! I have called in 6 times to get on the installation schedule. Every time I am told that "we will escalate this" and someone will call you within 24-48 hours. Never get called back... I don't know why I am still bothering to get service. After reading the comments below, I am not surprised I am dealing with this. WOW, worst communication I have ever experienced with any company. To bad for Direct, I may just stick with my UVerse!!

dis Satisfied Customer

I am very dis appointed I have been Speaking with Your customer Service about a issue since may 26th to be exact we Spoke 26, 28,Jun1and today June 3rd because the problem was not handled after bein told it would be handled and ut put ne in a financialbind that im not able to get out of an would like to be compensated as a customer.

I Love Directv mostly.

We have been a Directv customer for around 15 years. We have nothing bur great experiences with it. The customer service people have always been helpful and service has always been quick. The problem I have right now is that as a very old customer I can't afford the new Genie. My cost would go up $25 a month. Now new customers apparently get some kind of a deal,or so I thought, but by other reviews maybe I am wrong. We were told to cancel our service and then get it again under my name instead of my husband's name to get the new customer deals. Crazy huh?

first of all my mother was eager to get desperate to get direct tv over cable because she thought it would be better. Well in our experience it's only been two months since we received service and already we have had several problems. Just last yesterday I called to report problems with my service for the 7th time and was told that the service tech will not be out for 6 days. Ridiculous it's funny how quick they come out for installation and how slow they respond for repairs.

Negligent

Installer arrived and proceeded to pull wires from Audio/Video Receiver after turning it on, which either ruined it or the HDMI extenders. Now, no HDMI outputs work. After 3 calls, all reps were going to "escalate" my problem and get it taken care of. To date, I have not received any call. No sense of urgency, no caring, no anything. Don't buy!

Automatic bill pay, don't do it!!!

After waiting for 5 or 6 days I still have ot gotton the refund that I was rightfully due because of a screw up on the part of Dtv. They owe me $216.00 and some change. They said they would credit my account with the money automatically deducted from my checking account. That leaves me $213.00 in the hole. I will not be able to make my rent or car payment on time because of their greediness. I will give them until Monday to get this straightened out and if they do not comply after also calling them 3 or 4 times I will get a lawyer. I hope someone from their company reads these reviews. I would recommend Comcast over this load of bull anytime.

Complaint

Your phone tree is terrible and wastes customer time. Plus, I charge for my time and don't know where to sent the bill. Your company should use call centers in the U.S. Please let me know where I can send a bill for my time.

liars

My husband is retired so we live on a budget-directv got us to sign up for a two year contract and said our bill would never go up for the two years, We are paying about $28,00 more a month now and we only 10 months in the contract, can't wait for the next 14 months. Do not believe anything they say!!!!!!!!!

My beef with DirectV! They will not recognize the wide array of viewership. Many viewers want to see THE BLAZE program and they will not give the viewers their request. I am sure DirectV has lost many viewers and I can see why. When you limit viewers what they want, they will go somewhere else. I did! Get real viewers. You are being fed what they want you to see. Cancel your subscription and find another avenue, there are many.
