DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR SERVICE OR FOR WORK. I WAS HIRED BY THEM AND WORKED FOR THEM FOR A WEEK.....AFTER BEING HIRED I WAS CONFUSED WITH THE PAYROLL AND EMAILED THE GUY ABOUT IT ASKING A QUESTION AND HE FELT THAT IT WAS NOT RIGHT THAT I HAD ASKED HIM SO HE WRONGFULLY TERMINATED ME. PROBLEM FOR HIM IS THAT I HAVE THE WHOLE CONVERSATION IN EMAIL AND TO TOP IT OFF I NEVER GOT PAID, I AM GOING AFTER THEM FOR SLAVERY AND WRONGFUL TERMINATION!!!

crappy service provider - dish is cheaper

my bill was supposed to be 55.43 since dish network has the same service for less. direct tv agreed to apply credits toward my bill to keep me as a customer. things were fine until direct tv wanted to start billing me 90 bucks a month for service that was supposed to be 55. after calling about getting OVERBILLED 4 TIMES in a 2 year period - i canceled my service - you guys suck at customer service and i will never use you for a service provider EVER AGAIN. even after calling the customer service # - the reps hang up on you- argue with you - and definitely dont treat you as a valued customer. feel free to look up my account and EVERY time i called in and try to deny it.

I have been dealing with this billing nonsense since ive signed on with direct tv its the worst ever ita the same story every month im being robbed every month i have to cancel movie channels and NFL package every month this is out of control....

OK MY RATEING FOR NOW IS 3 STARS BUT GOING LOWER FAST , WE WHERE CHARGED FOR A BOXING PPV THAT NO ONE ORDER AMAZING DIRECT REVERSED THE CHARGE. BUT RECENTLY WE HAD TROBLE WITH ONE OF THE REMOTES AND ASK THEM TO SWITCH IT OUT THEY TRY TO CHARGE US $15.00 FOR THAT! SICKOS! I AM VERY DISSAPPOINTED WITH DIRECT. I AM THINKING OF SWITCHING SOON , DEPENDING ON LAKERS CHANNEL DEAL. ALSO FOR DIRECT I WANT PAC 12 NETWORK! SOON TO BE FORMER COSTUMER!

you charged me for 3 month now nfl program that i never asked for, your company is not doing the right thing, therefore im closing my account with tou today as i feel uncomfortable going foward for being charge and not credited back for things i never ask for with you. shame shame shame.

This company is I must say the worst cable company I have had yet! Their customer service is terrible!!! And they will tell u 1 thing n it be totally different... There a bunch of liars and theives!!!!

Today is 10/19/12. I just reviewed my statement and was charged for 4 ppv movies from 2006. Not a joke. I called and asked why in the heck was I being charged for these movies and the service girl said that I was not charged for them in 2006. But..... as a one time curisity, she could take them off. I told her she had better get them off my bill. Warning!!!!!! Check your monthly statement. I usually just pay mine without looking. I will NEVER do that again!!!!

She is right! Call the corporate office service rep and all your problems will be solved.

I called the number listed above and spoke to a customer service rep in the office of the president. All my problems were solved.

I agree with CFarr who stated "We need to get a class-action lawsuit going for these thieves. I have pictures of my new customer agreement details they refuse to honor. After escalating problem they say you can only get rebates etc. that show up at the point of sale. Even if the agreement details say you will get what you are expecting." I expected HD as advertised but after installation was told it would cost $10 more per month because I did request "auto bill pay" at the point of sale. I cancelled the same day and contacted my attorney who is sending a letter concerning their false and misleading advertisements. I will also contact my state attorney general to make a complaint.

Getting all wires and equipment removed from my rental, which was installed by Direct TV and my previous tenant without my consent has turned into a nightmare. I have been told so many different stories and put on hold for up to 20 minutes, it is unbelievable to me that they are still in businees. No straight answers, eventhough they did something that they where not suppose to do.

Very poorly ran staff and business. No wonder users are switching to U-Verse, Corporate is not any better, one excuse and run around after the next when it comes to correcting a mishap they have created.

Bottom line is, they are happy when they are paid on time. If they pull your records and see a late payment, it is all over. You will be transfer over the place.

My wife and I was with Directv for 4 years. We had to move so we cancelled our service. They tried to charge us $265.00 for outstanding pay per views that we never ordered. They had first sent us a final bill and we paid that. They sent us another bill showing $0.00. A month later they sent us this bill for the pay per views from 2008. This is 2012 and we some how got this bill from 2008. Customer service was very rude and unhelpful. We called corporate office and spoke with Scott in the billing department. He was very polite very helpful and understanding. He took care of the bill and credited the whole amount with a $0.00 balance. My mother-in-law has the family package with Directv. She asked for a sheet showing all her 99 channels and they mailed her one. Within one year of service they took away half of her channels from her package. Now they want her to pay $40.00 extra to get her original channels back. Directv has poor service and customer service needs to be dealt with. They want to get rich off the middle class. There needs to be a stop to this.

Unfortunately ‘no star’ was not an option, so had to give DirecTV one star. Frankly don’t understand how they get away with ‘THEFT” or poor, unethical and immoral business practices. Where is Better Business Bureau; the FCC; the Public Utilities Commission; an attorney to bring a Class Action, etc? My experience with DirecTV is the same story as most posted here where they ripped me off too by charging my card twice for one current payment and refused to reverse one charge. Only wanted to give me ‘credit’ for following month when I need my money now!!!! On disability fixed income paid once monthly. Canceling service in short order and plan to escalate thievery and poor service!!!

Why is Directv so incompetent? I have been getting charged different amount each month and have to spend 30 minutes each month on the phone to get my money back. As a loyal customer, instead of giving me good service and extra channels as tryouts, Directv charges me ridiculous amount of money. What a racket! Left hand is not talking to the right hand here! Frustrating. Every month! Just called their customer service and the system is down! I had to argue about not charging for their New Movers package. Then, they cancel the service and then restart and charge the amount again. Now, there is a different charge for September vs. June, July, and August. Only reason I subscribe is the NFL package but will have to stop this.

ive been with directv for a while and they are supposed to be the leader in sports tv and i cant even watch the lakers game because they are on timewarner sports net nor can i watch usc or ucla games because of the pac 12 dispute channel i rate this tv service very poor and will be switching to time warner very asap.
