worst company ever

Ordered direct tv and when it came to setting it up, they had some off the wall guy do it and he never showed up twice!!! called called called and no one could ever get the results(our money they took out for some reason), they said 10 days we would see it in our account and NOTHING a month later!!! called again and they just hung up on us!!! IM going to ruin this company!!!

Corporate Maintains Respect

After being lied too by two different employees who work inside a BestBuy store DirectTV after investigations and going through a couple of supervisors they waived our early termination and refunded our money. Now, hopefully the group that works out of BestBuy will refund their part of $19.95 since they are a separate group.

Horrible ad

As a DirectTv customer of many years & having to endure many of the complaints listed here, I have often felt like the dog in the ad, especially with their "free" offers. However, that dog/hawk ad is the worst ad I have ever seen. My granddaughter was in tears & I am wondering what age the advertising person was to think it was anything other than, as stated before, in poor taste.

Sports Billing Fees

I just my bill for DIRECTV and in it they inserted an additional charge of $2 for a Regional Sports Fee. I called them to inform DIRECTV that I did not request any sports packages and that I was NOT going to pay for something I don't want that is not part of the package I ordered 10 years ago. This is an unmitigated ripoff

what a bad year i switching to dish

Starts out with sending a man who gets in face screaming at me and lying. To now a year later dealing with customer se. rvice once a month I don't need all this stress customer service keeps lying and not taking note and the calling me a lied really. not happy the good ones are corporate they've helped once maybe the can change my mind again don't know

Bogus Promo

HBO, STARZ!, etc. package is added to your bill as a promo for $45.00 and then subtracted. After 3 months it is just added to your bill and you are obligated to pay it. I had no idea I was supposed to call and 'cancel' this promotion. I was on the phone for over an hour with 4 different representatives that kept transferring me to the next one. Finally got it taken off my bill. Unreal.

Absurd Advertising

The direct tv commercial that shows a family pet being carried off by a hawk is distateful and inhumane. somebody in the marketing / adv ertising department should be fired. VERY POOR TASTE!

Con Artists

Billing nightmare... after threatening to cancel, I finally cancelled. I was assured my account was closed with a zero balance. Two months later they start billing me for a $200 cancellation fee! I have been around the world with this company. Report it to the credit bureau and I will hire an attorney to take legal action. Unconscionable. Employees know nothing, want to know nothing and are not going to learn anything. Frustrated beyond comprehension!!

The WORST

Their billing dept is a joke, inconsistent billing then when a refund is to be issued they tell you 10 days then they turn around and tell you that it will be a credit on your account. When you tell them that the money was taken by error they just say sorry, but you can wait another 10 days for a refund.

i have worked at wal-mart for twelve years and i do know what customer service is, directv is the worst customer service i have ever encountered, you can never speak to somebody that speaks english, when you finally speak to somebody they have an attitude, they can't ever explain how much of my bill keeps rolling from month to month, after this contract is up, i am through with directv, they are terrible, they have no compassion for nobody, all they care about is money

They do not care

I closed my account on January 16th. Just closing the account was a horrible experience, and after saying "no I just want to cancel my account" no less than 5 times they finally agreed to close it, with an attitude. I was told that I would receive a final bill after I returned the equipment to them, and if I didn't pay it they would charge my credit card I had on file. I advised them that I wouldn't have an issue with that provided that I received proper notification and was given the opportunity to pay the bill. I returned the equipment, and my online transaction history was updated on January 23 with the description "Final Bill" and the amount was zero. Surprisingly, on February 7th Direct TV charged my credit card 97.87. I called and they refused to apologize or admit any wrong doing and claimed that the 97.87 was for previously provided service and could not explain why when a final balance of zero is posted it really doesn't mean final

There is help

I had a recent problem with my bill, I could not get the results needed with a service rep. I called the corporate phone # and spoke with a very pleasant young lady name Sharee who was located in Idaho, she took care of my billing issues with no problem, Thank you Sharee!

ripped off

My first contract lasted two years and left. after several calls from directv wanting me back....I said I would when I found a permanent residence....I was told that they could provide service at the temp address and move me when I was ready...was not told of the movement fees and my DVR was dropped due promotion for free DVD was no longer valid....lies,false promises, and profiling...the feds need to look into this

sucks

Probably the worst customer service and thieves. Tried to cancel service after 10 years and the wouldn't let me out of my contract. Wanted to charge me $750 for remaining balance of contract, decided to just not keep it hooked up and was downgraded my service to $14 per month for 5 months. Went to cancel today and they told me that I still had 20 days on my contract and was going to charge early cancellation fee, why can't they just waive the remaining balance for 29 days? Seriously, idiots and terrible service for customer loyalty. Worst company ever...

fraud

I disconnected my account n they were supposed to send me boxes for my receivers they apparently sent them or didn't not to sure by what they are saying. They took 700 hundred dollars from me without my permission. They stole from me. When I tried to contact customer service I had to speak to numerous ppl n they all gave me the run around n lied directly to me. They couldn't even give me the right numbers to track the boxes, each person had a different number n said they sent it thru fed ex but it was sent thru post office. They won't give me my money back as fast as they took it in the middle of the night. I hope this corporate number will work because direct t.v has been a nightmare!

When speaking to the reps about cancelation issues, they lie to the customer in order to still your money one more time before your cancellation. I told the direct tv rep that I was canceling because i was moving, I was told that billing would end on 2 Feb 13 no worries. I found out it was never cancelled and now I'm being charge $74.00 for supposedly a prorated balance amount. This are professional thief. Don't get direct tv.

No Credit on Payment

Our first payment was unfortunately a NSF at the bank. It was redeposited by DTV and the bank paid. I have called customer service and was connected to the Phillipines and Mexico. Each time I supplied what they asked for in proof of payment. The language barrier was too great because I could not understand key parts of the discussion and each time I had to wait 10 business days. It has been almost 30 days and still no resolution and no one knows of our faxes and emails. Twice now by accident we have been able to talk to an English speaking person on US soil. So much for farming out customer service jobs to overseas. Frustration Frustration Frustration

Stole my personal receivers

I called about 3 receivers that I purchased from Direct tv (Not Leased). Service man arrived said my Service Agreement would take care of the costs. He replaced the 3 receivers. and removed the old ones. Now Direct tv says I owe them $18.00 per month for the new Leased units. All I want is my old receivers back. I paid Hundreds of dollars and can easly repair them myself. How can they steal my private property?
