The supervisors and reps are unprofessional.Aa supervisor Tenaja switched me over to a retention ahent without saying anything and s retention rep Janet hung up on me.Is this what we are paying for?

Customer Service
Yes believe it or not; Direct TV is a bundle of stinky mess. I signed up with them in March 2013; what I did not know is that your credit report is checked twice, one for the TV/ internet the other for the bundle phone service. When I called customer service on this I was told by the phone rep that they had nothing to do with the phone sevice. I canceled due to dishonor and integrity of the company. Wow! am I glad no equipment had been installed yet and will not be. Be smart this is not the company you want for any services.
Great service
I don't know what the problem is with a LOT of these comments , I had one bad experience in 7 yrs and that was with C/S and then the supervisor took care of it.
Worse Customer Service EVER!
The reps are insulting and unhelpful. They tell you things that they don't write in the notes so when you call back you get talked to like you have a disability. I have had numerous issues and spent countless hours on the phone waiting for representatives to cop a clue and figure out what they are doing. I wish I could go back to the day I made the biggest mistake and signed up with DirecTV. Heed my warning those of you thinking about getting them "Choose anyone BUT them!" It will save you frustration and best of all $$$$. The commercials between Dish and Direct are true, DirecTV does have hidden fees and the cost just keeps rising up all the Time!

DIRECT TV IS A FRAUD
I just called corporate office, these people are a rip off, they quote you a price for one thing and then when you get the bill it's a whole nother price... Then they talk about rebates and how you need to sign up for all kinds of promotional advisement to keep your bill at a low price
Contracts are Worthless
If you have a contract, it has an option to raise rates. When I took the contract out last year I was told my monthly bill would not increase. it has. They are gone at the end of my contract in 3 months. I have been with Directv since early 1996. The company is much different now than it was then. There are many other options now than Directv. I am checking them out now. Buyer Beware!
complaint
My complaint is that employees promise help and then forgets about helping. I don't like the recorded voices. I get frustrated trying to get a personn. I eventually get someone in PA, I live in NC, who tells me to push buttons on the whatever. I don't know what they are. I Just want it installed and then enjoy television. I am 77, having treatments oablen my back but I'm on the floor trying to find some minute gadget. The techs who install don;t come or don't come. I'll probably go back to cable. Sincerely. If I can't type the stupd words under this, I'm not a monkey or a child.
Stop Calling Me!
Right after I cancelled my service and sent the equipment back, I began getting automated phone calls from DTV. When I pick up the phone, no one is on the other end or it hangs up. This last time I checked my caller ID and returned the call (877-389-6582) a recording came on stating that they weren't even open on the weekend. Technically it isn't harassment unless someone is on the line.
Rebate Offers Are A Lie
I was told I would get a $150 Best Buy gift card after installation. I filled out the paperwork, sent it to Direct TV and nothing... I've called, been lied to and remain 4 months and 18 phone calls later with no gift card or credit.
stolen money from bank account
direct Tv has been taking money out my account all of Feb of 2013 in large amounts and as long as i lived i never had dir tv nor allowed anyone to use my bank card you call them after i spoke my issue i got hung up on call back different rep same thing happen again then i get another rep she say she have nothing in system on me and she cant help me and hung up but on my bank statement i see direct tv charges my bank see them to so i out out a fraud alert if not i will be suing direct tv i am pissed off
Direct TV is a TRAP
I got lied to in order to sign up for Direct TV service I was told that the prices were locked in but I wasn't that I could leave at any time. The promotion allowed for me to pay nothing for the equipment and I was free to leave at any time. Yet not that I try to leave I suddenly have a contract and I have to pay $380 to disconnect my service. I was specifically told there was no contract by the sales rep. Now all of a sudden they have my signature on some agreement I was never informed of. I have been completely scammed, lied to and now trapped unless I want to cough up almost $400. .
Changed my installation time without my knowledge
I renewed my two year contract with them because they have me a sweet deal because I was a "valued customer" I picked my time for two days later from 8 am-12 pm. That morning they called me and told me that they have me for 12-4: by the way I also got a follow up email saying the correct time 8-12 and they denied that they changed it without my knowledge and nobody has any clue what happened . The diffenitly don't put there customers first and don't take there complaint seriously,
First I was lied to by an agent at Direct TV about not having to pay any fees then now in Febuary an agent in the moving department put ion wrong address for the tech to go to and now cant get proper help.
Horrible
This company has been a nightmare, lies more lies. I would never recommend this company. They make up excuses and are unable to fix their problems, they try to blame everyone but themselves. Since changing to them several months ago it has been a daily nightmare and lies after lies to get service and unable to get things fixed, I am cancelling and suing. I would not use them ever again
Discontinued Service
I called in to complain about DirecTv not carrying local sports anymore, and that I might have to cancel service soon. They couldnt wait. Despite a positive credit balance on the account of a 10+ year customer, my service was disconnected in the middle of the night. Time/Warner hooks me up tomorrow. Their loss, not mine.
Lying to People
you sent me this Excllusive Invitation. Then when I called some one who was not even in your home office tells me it was only for new customers. How would you know my name if I was new. Had service with direct for over 7 years.Horrible customer service.Finally got fed up and cancelled service,sent receivers back,paid final bill...and AMAZINGLY they send me another bill 4 months later for pay per view charges from 7 years ago!! Called customer service,they were no help of course.So I called this number,spoke to a nice guy,but they still said it was a legitimate bill.they're just ripping people off every day.RIDICULOUS! Stay away from direct tv
