DENNYS IN 2530 SOUTH BRISTOL STREET, SANTA ANA ORANGE COUNTY, CA. This is by far the worst experience I had at a Denny's chain and will most likely not return to the chains in Orange County. I came here to eat some dinner around six and it took them one whole hour to get them to get our order and have it on our table( Food was cold). Then the waitress IRMA messed up on my child's Arthur Christmas shake (she just have us a plain shake), after that we asked for refills and the waitress never came back after she messed up on the shakes so we didn't see her for the rest of the night and never got our refills, check and a take-out box (ordered hot chocolate, and two waters). After all that we waited FORTY FIVE MINUTES to check out. I had to go up to the cashier and ask for my receipt and a take-out box. Manager didn't even apologies and just asked me if I wanted to leave a TIP!!! Until the service and manager situation is fixed I will never dine at this Denny's again.
Let me start off by saying I love denny.s I had went to two location one on 95th and harlem and then one off of torrence in chicago il. Everytime I go to those locations I recieve great service I mean sometimes above and beyond like singing happy birthday to my six year old and everything. So I tried the one on like 99th and cicero and I was so disappointed. My waiter was krystal horrible I mean our cups were empty we didnt get a refill at anytime and we were there at least an hour. When we ordered we would like dessert as well but she never came to get that order. We ordered cheese on our broccoli but she said it had to be made or something not sure what that means or why it wasnt on my plate when it came out its just cheese. I think what was worse is that the manager was there and was doing nothing just sitting around people were complaining aboit her behind us and he just called her over he didnt apologize ir nothing I dont know if it was because it was the new years day night crew or what but that was the worse service I have had in a long time so dissapointed I think I will have to give denny's abreak for a while because it left a bad taste in my mouth
A huge Thank You to the staff at Dennys in Corfu NY! They made our Christmas lunch enjoyable with service in a timely manner, great attitudes and smiles! Cindy C our waitress was a pleasure as well as the manager on duty :) Thanks for a great day!
We went to the Denny's in Windsor CA We want to let you know that we had GREAT FOOD & THE EMPLOYEES ROCK WE WILL BE BACK
Amazing to read all comments. i've been in the resturant business for years and thought that as a regular you could better service. waited over 10 minutes before i left to village inn. they had 5 waiters and an over weight woman manager sitting two stools away from me socializing with her girlfriend. they couldn't serve me but it was amazing how they all could play with their cell phones and leave to go outside to smoke. there where only three tables in the resturant when this happened. i can see why they give away a free breakfast after the super bowl. i hope everyone reads my review and never eat at a dennys in utah. if you want a bad eating experience try dennys and ask them if they test
My husband and I went to Denny's on Christmas day(Hendersonville, NC, we arrived at 4pm, got waited on at 4:15 pm. The place was a little busy, no more than usual though, but we thought maybe because it is Christmas day, we might have to wait a little longer than usual, so that was ok. We'll 35 minutes went by no food, then we started noticing people that had come in 30 minutes after we did was already getting their food, so we started asking where are food was. One waitress told us it was almost done, just finishing our hamburgers, 15 minutes later, still no food, we asked again, this time it took almost 10 more minutes. An hour for a double cheese burger/ onion rings and a mushroom burger/fries. Now that was ridiculous, then we we got our food, my husbands was fine, but my fries were cold, my burger barely warm. I didn't complain until I got to the register, I didn't want to wait another hour for food. I complained, they didn't offer a discount or anything., they just said we're sorry. I'm very disappointed and will never go back to Denny's, not just because of this incident, but it seems almost everytime we go it's like this., but not quite as bad. We kept returning hoping that it would be better, but I'm beginning to think that Denny's is just sorry all the time. WE WILL NEVER RETURN!! WE WILL NEVER RETURN
Hello me and my famil visited a Denny's in Pleasanton Ca. On Owens dr. on 12/20/11 @ 1:00am . It was the worst customer service I have ever seen. There were 3 small groups of people eating. It took them 10 min. to even look up and see we were standing there waiting to be seated. Finally after we were seated we sat there for 15 min. And no one took our drink order or even gave us menus. Even after I made eye contact with the young waitress she continued to sit and flirt with a couple guys sitting in a boothe. She stood there the entire 15 min. Talking. At this point I am frustrated so my family and I walked out. As we walked out the other waitress who realized the situation said sorry.
The service was very bad I had ordered my breakfast and waited 27 minutes for a simple coffee refill, my waitress didn't even check on me. I never did get that second cup. However I was the only White man in the place, I watched as the manager shook hands and greeted all the Mexican people in the place and offered them all coffee refills. However I a white man was ignored, this is wrong on any levels. I believe that qualifies as racial discrimination!!!! So I guess if you are a white person don't eat at Denny's in Salinas California you will leave a thirsty customer.
My husband and I went to the Denny's in Clifton Colorado and the experience was horrible! The waitress looked like she didn't even want to be working and she took forever to take our order and she messed up on our order and it took forever to receive our food. I spent a lot of my hard earned money there and it was an awful experience. This was on November 4th, 2011 and now it's December 17th, 2011 and I've been calling the corporate office for a while now and it has taken them a while to give me my money gift card back, I still haven't received my gift card it's making me mad I just really want my money back and not even go to Denny's again.
Wrote this below on Denny's web site on Sunday 12/04 I,m guessing Denny's doesn't care as I didn't get any sort of response. Service was not acceptable tonight at Denny's in Margate,Florida. The waitress Merline D was too busy to come back to the table my mother-in-law needed water and I needed a box for the left overs. When Merline came over and i complained about the service we were receiving she told me that she was busy with other customers on the other side of the restaurant it only looks like there were 2 servers for the whole restaurant. Sorry but we come to a restaurant thinking we will be served not for me getting out of my seat asking for the waitress to come by our table we needed water and a box. I dont think I will ever suggest Denny's to my wife for a option to eat Dinner with this kind of service.
Stop in Waco Tx off I-35 by Baylor. This place was sooooo dirty and the rest room was not any better. So I wonder how dirty was the kitchen? Had one poor little waitress working and she was doing her very best. Will not stop there again. Will the food really didn't taste that bad!!
I have always liked Dennys in the past. I was happy when a location became open in Davenport, Iowa. We became "regulars" there and got to know many of the servers. Most of the servers are wonderful, likewise the hosts and cooks. However, as time went on, the quality of the food and service began to go downhill. The servers were still great to us, but it took a very long time to get seated(and the hosts no longer do this, the servers do, which is why it takes so long) the food was room temperature and when we went to pay, we had to wait yet again! And again, it was our server who took our money. When I asked her if they were short handed that day, she said that Dennys didn't want to pay a host or cashier anymore so the servers had to do that job as well as their own. I understand the labor issues involved in running a restaurant, but you can't seriously expect customers to come back to a place where there aren't enough people working to make them happy. I tipped my server extra that day, because I felt low because I had to tell her that we were never coming back, since we had to wait so long to pay, and this had been happening consistently . I apologized for being an ass, but where is the manager? At low volume hours in other restaurants (Machine Shed, Village Inn, Ihop) cashiers are sometimes sent home, but the managers are expected to help if needed. I don't even know what the Dennys manager looks like, because he/she is never in the dining room. I realize that this place won't close because I stopped going there, but I am positive others won't continue to frequent it either, once they experience the poor management. Ther are just too many other places to go that care about their guests.
Hi I just had to write a small thing that bother me about the Denny's at 28th St S.E. I went in to order a take-out last night and since they was not busy I sat my self "there was only four customer's in the whole place. I sat there waiting 40mins and the one person walked out the back 8 times and never offered service once. They acted as they didn't even see me. Ignoring me and know they could see me sitting there only this one person acts so. I still buy food from Denny's but not when this person is working and waiting on tables. That's why the U.S. is losing so much business if this keeps up they will be closed within 5 years. And folks who do a good job will lose their job because of one person who should had been hired from the first place....I gave #1 star because of the service the food is #5 stars...
My husband and I have eaten at Dennys in Gun Barrel City, Texas since they opened last year 2010. We are there sometimes three times per day. Not only us but alot of other people have complained that on one side of the restaurant at 10:00 p.m. at night every night, Denny's allows smoking. I have heard so many complaints from not only customers but the wait staff also that do not smoke. We have talked to the owner Jimmy about this and he told us he is not going to stop the smoking in Denny's in Gun Barrel City, Texas. Although he owns other restaurants in Texas that do not allow any smoking. So many other older customers like us have health problems. I have COPD and my husband had a quadrupal by-pass surgery. We think it very unfair that this particular Denny's allows smoking and cares nothing for their patron's feelings. We also think it's sad that your wait staff is also subjected to this very unhealthy habit. There are two particular gentlemen that go in every night and get endless cup's of coffee and sit there smoking cigarettes one after the other. They never order anything to eat, just sit there and pay for that very first cup of coffee and have endless refills all night long. There are no smoking vents in this restaurant and it is driving alot of customers away. Thankyou for listening to this very valid complaint. Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hicks P.S. My husband and myself spend alot of money at Denny's not only on the food but also tips so please take this into consideration.
A group of 6 of us went to Dennys in Great Falls, MT for breakfast at 2:15am after a midnight movie..the waitress was horrible..we had to flag her down to get my order..she forgot 2 tables drinks..it took over n hr to get our food..i had to cancel mine cuz it took so long..i didnt even get my drink..the cook would come out front n watch tv..my friend ordered 4 slices of bacon n a side of toast..it took 45 min jus for that..n there was so much grease on the plate..another lady found hair in her coffee..their food was cold..there were 9 dirty tables in the restaurant..n only 5 tables that the lady had to wait on..so we complained n she said if u think u can do a better job then get up and do it..she swore at us..the cook cashed us out n he said that nothing would b done cuz his aunt was the district managers boss...i have never experienced such horrible service at a Dennys as i use to wrk at one..so i no the standards that the employees are held too..
Have been going to the same Denny's # 7930 on 6131 Paredes Line Road in Brownsville, Texas since it opened. This past Saturday, November 12, 2011,, I arrived about 10:30 A.M. I was seated almost immediately, business was , what I would say, a little below normal for a Saturday. I was with my wife, we both ordered the "built your own slam" breakfast. I ordered, eggs, pancakes, hash browns and a oatmeal, my wife ordered the same except she ordered a biscuit instead of oatmeal. The order came in about 20 minutes, my eggs were looked excellent (sunny -sun up), I never ate them, the pancakes were severely undercooked, the oatmeal stale and the hash browns cooked to a crisp. My wife's order, the pancakes, again, severely undercooked, the biscuit was ice cold, and the hash brown, again , cooked to a crisp. Her eggs, which she had ordered over-easy, came over-cooked. We said nothing, paid our bill and walked out. Maybe the cook was having a bad day, cause, for all the times we have been going to Denny's, this has never happened. We will keep going, the waitresses are nice, the place is clean, It's just the food. I would suggest that someone have a talk with the cooks,, maybe they are new, but something needs to be done!!! One thing I told my wife, if this keeps repeating, and I'm not one to make threats, but, we will look for another place to go for breakfast.,,,,,,,,,Sincerely Yours Abel R. Moreno
me my husband and 2 other friends went to denny's in Fife,WA. and i must say the service was horrible. we had 2 coupons for lunch or dinner and second meal free of equal or lesser value. we order our food 3 steak dinners and a double cheese burger and asked to be on 2 different bills. when we got done order our meal it took forever and it was cold. yet we still didnt say much to them, we were just happy out meal was finally here. after we had gotten done eating the lady gave us our bill on the same check. when we went to ask why were they one the same bill and only one coupon was used. she told me that since we came together that we can only use one coupon. but on the coupon it states that one coupon per person. yet they wouldnt let use split the check and use our 2 coupons. a very horrible place to eat and terrible customer service. will never ever go to any denny's again.
As the others have said, I'm going to miss the Greenbelt Dennys. We tried to go this morning, and were shocked to see it closed. We were there recently and I think our server would have said something, so I suspect it was sudden. There are likely many people who would like more information about what happened. I always liked Dennys better than IHOP, so this is a blow, since we liked heading to Dennys before work on a regular basis. I hope Doreen and Yurika and the cooks found other jobs, they were good.
There's nothing like breakfast at Denny's at 11:00 at night. Does anybody know why Denny's in Greenbelt MD closed? A lot of people in Greenbelt would **love** to see it open again. What can we do to bring back our beloved Denny's of Greenbelt?
the dennys in Kissimmee florida near 192 irlo bronson next to silver spurs arena is one of the worst dennys. Biggest reason the are drug dealers working there drug users(servers ,managers cooks . and the worst part of it their general manager knows about it, please do something about it
