you people are so right the employees(ramp agents) will steal anything they can get their hands on and dont think locks will keep them out oh no they can break codes in seconds they will even take the locks and sell them on ebay they take naps on empty planes eat meals from the planes i have seen large duffle bags of drinks cookies etc that were taken off planes and guess who pays the price from blankets to cameras to jewerly in side the plane or from baggage compartments they even steal equipment they use to push planes my ex often laughed about breaking luggage by throwing it breaking strollers if they dont break or damage your items they will steal it!!!!

This is a typical Delta response FIVE days after they lost our luggage....Delta continues to prove that they earned their reputation as the worst airline in the industry when it comes to customer service!! Thank you for your e-mail to Delta Air Lines. Please send us the file reference number you were given when you reported your bag missing to Delta. If this is not available, please provide the tag number of the missing baggage. As soon as we receive this information, we will be glad to research this for you. Additionally, we request that you complete the attached Passenger Property Loss claim form. Customer Care will first check our warehouse and then other airlines in a final attempt to locate your baggage. After these measures, if it is still not located, your claim will then be turned over to a claims manager for processing. This process currently takes 2 to 4 weeks. You will only be notified via US Mail once the claim is settled, unless Delta has questions concerning your claim. In the event your software is not compatible with ours, a claim form may be mailed to you. Thank you for your cooperation. Again, please accept our apology for the unfavorable impression you received in this instance. We appreciate your loyalty to Delta and will always consider it a privilege to be of service.

I recently flew delta from Charleston WV to Portland Oregon with a transfer through Atlanta. I have to tell you the whole story for you to appreciate my situation Ok my fiance is a long haul trucker, I thought it would be a fun trip to ride along. Not. I discovered he was cheating on me. We of course had an argument. He left me at a truck stop near Charleston with 600 $ I didn't even know where I was. Just somewhere in west Virginia. I called a cab that was 40 $ he took me to the airport. I talked to the first agent I saw, I wasn't sure what airline it was at that time. I asked for a ticket to Portland Oregon. It ws a little over 500 $. So I would have enough money for something to eat. My flight didn't leave until the next day after 4 p.m. The agent was called away for a short time, by the time he got back and I was ready to book the price had rose to over 700 $. That was More than I had. I lost it. I never cry but I couldn't help it. I was dirty tired and hungry and I just wanted to go home. The folks with delta were amazing. One gal took me in the back and told me to just sit for a minute. I tried to gather myself and figure out what else I could do. My only other choice was greyhound which would have me transfer and take 2 days. I didn't have a phone because it was in his truck. So I went back to the delta counter and was going to ask to use the phone to call greyhound. I was still crying. The agent asked how much money I had. So I laid out my 560 $. They were all gathered around a v Computer monitor. This gentleman came over and said they found a way to get me on the 4 45 p.m. Flight the next day. I couldn't believe it. That wasn't all. They gave me a night stay at a hotel and shuttle to and from the hotel. Also 3 meal vouchers. I have new best friends at the Charleston west Virginia airport. Also have to mention a mystery angel named Jeanne who was at the counter and called my daughter who was also very upset. Not knowing how I was getting home. Anyway she put 60 $ on the counter and told me to get home safely. I don't know how I would not have got home without their kindness and generosity. I felt like I was on the Ellen show. I joked through tears that I would write to her and we would all go to Disneyland. They even made sure everyone got a hug and I could thank them before my flight. I and the gal who helped me cried as I boarded. Thank you for being there. Sincerely Cindy :)

Checked a bag at the request of the agent since it was a small plane and the bins would be full. ($25) Lost bag, Promised the bag on 6-16-12. No bag no, no help from the baggage "service" and finally gave up calling at midnight when they closed up for the night. The following morning 7-17-12 told they found the bag and could get it to me on 7-18-12 since I was outside the 70 mile limit. Apparently, Delta doesn't deliver itself, it is a contract with the airport. The 1-404-209-3043/1800-325-8224 numbers and the www.wheresmysuitcase.com are a joke! Still no human voice that appears to have the ability to solve the problem, but they all ask if I want to join the Skymiles program. By the way, still no bag

I was a passenger on Delta Flight 4284 scheduled to fly from JFK to Charlotte, NC from 1 pm to 3 pm June 28, 2012. The plane was totally full and was delayed for four hours on the runway in the heat because 1) the crew on the plane was summarily removed and a new crew brought on at the last minute with the unsettling announcement over the intercom that the only explanation was someone in Memphis said: do it (first hour delay) 2)Then we were given some cryptic information about them waiting on "performance numbers." (second hour delay) 3) Then we were told the airplane computer was down (third hour delay) 4)Once the delay went over 3 hours, the federal regs mandated the plane cargo be unloaded and passengers deplane. (30 minutes) 5)Then we were told to get back on the plane because it had been cleared for take off. 6)Then we were told the compuitor was still malfunctioning and the flight was cancelled after we sat on the runway in the heat for 4 hours. We were promised a $50 voucher and someone to speak to us about our options. Neither occurred. The Delta Gate 24 servicing the flight was total chaos. I have never seen such arrogant, incompetent administrative plane company personnel. Their only solution was for us to come back the next day for an 8 am flight. I called US Airways and booked an 8 pm return flight to Charlotte from La Guardia at an additional cost to me of $550. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone this morning getting a terrible runaround with a customer help desk that turned into a circular transfer from one confusing, time wasting cyborg to the next, in an obvious effort to obfuscate and discourage any effort to get a refund. I am so angry and disgusted with my experience I wrote a more thorough letter to the FAA questioning this company's management. It was awful. As a result of this experience, I question whether they are safe to fly.

I will never ever fly Delta again, I booked 4 flights to Roatan at the price of 982.00 each the fare came down to 552.00, they wont refund the money and charged me 600.00 to reissue a ticket unbelieveable, it took them less than 6 seconds over the phone

Delta is beats United Airlines when it comes to customer service. They make it very difficult to speak to a person if you need help. One representative was wildly inappropriate after I explained why I was calling he said he wondered if I understood that I just contradicted myself. It's a long story, take my word for it, the exchange was not good customer service on Delta's part.

WE PURCHASED A ROUND TRIP TICKET TO WISCONSIN FOR THIS JULY,2012. WE WERE SENDING A TECH THERE FOR MECHANICS TRAINING. WE FOUND THAT IT WAS A BAD TIME TO SEND HIM, SO WE CALLED DELTA AND ASKED FOR A REFUND, THEY SAID THAT THERE WOULD BE NO REFUND BUT THE TECH HAD A YEAR TO USE THE TICKET, THE TICKET IS NON-TRANSFERABLE. THERE WOULD BE NO OTHER REASON TO GO TO WISCONSIN EXCEPT FOR THE SCHOOLING. I THEN CALLED DELTA HQ AND SPOKE WITH A WOMEN THEIR, AND ASKED HER ABOUT THE REFUND, SHE SAID SORRY NO REFUND, I ASKED HER IF WE DONOT USE THIS TICKET WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO, NO ANSWER. I THEN TOLD HER THAT THE TECH DIED A FEW DAYS AGO, SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WOULD NEED A COPY OF THE DEATH CERTIFICATE IN ORDER FOR US TO RECIEVE A REFUND"JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THE TECH IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL. CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT SCAM ARTIST WE HAVE RUNNING THESE AIRLINES. I WILL NEVER, NOR WILL THIS COMPANY EVER FLY DELTA AIRLINES. WHAT A BUNCH OF RICH PRICKS. Delta lost my son's carseat so I filed a claim when I arrived to the airport. I was told I would be notified within 12 hours of the status. Days passed and I hadn't received a call so I called back only to be told that the report had been closed because I (the passenger) had already came and picked it up! Obviously I never received the carseat or I would not have been calling so I was then advised to file a property loss claim. I submitted that but was denied but I did not keep my boarding passes from a flight from 3 weeks ago or my receipt for a carseat that was bought months ago! This is complete BS! I am now out $200 all because Delta lost my carseat and there is nothing they will do about it. I will never fly Delta again.

HELP!! I am hoping someone reads these messages. Kerry Goldsborough booked a fight to Minnesota to get to Mayo Clinic. She has been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 years. Her body cant keep the fluid off her lungs, and no doctor has been able to help her. She is very weak now and her oxygen levels dropped to the low 70's which has put her in a very dangerous level, where she in unable to fly. She is forced to drive. i CALLED 1-866-289-9673, THEN PRESS OPTION 5, ENTER THE TSA CODE 285. I SPOKE TO A MANAGER ABOUT MY SITUATION. MY WIFE HAD ARRIVED AT ATLANTA AIRPORT 06:00AM. THE GENTLEMAN FROM GROOM TAXI WENT INSIDE THE TICKET AREA AND TOLD THEM A OLDER LADY NEEDED A WHEELE CHAIR BECAUSE SHE WAS HANDICAP. THE ASSISTANCE CAME AND WHEELED HER TO THE TSA LINE. THE LADY TOLD MY WIFE TO WAIT HERE AND WOULD TAKE HER PURSE AND CARRY-ON BAG A COUPLE LINES DOWN.SHE WHEELED HER WAY PASS THE TSA, WAITED AND NOTICE THE LADY WAS SQUATING ON THE FLOOR IN SAME LINE THINKING THE LADY WAS PUTTING HER THINGS AWAY. THE DISABLE LADY IS MY WIFE AND WAS GOING TO TOKYO THAT MORNING.MY WIFE LOST $500.00 DALLORS IN HERE PURSE AND A SMALL ORIENTAL RED BAG. MY WIFE THINKS IT COULD BE THAT SAME LADY COULD HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY AND ORIENATAL SMALL BAG. Delta has a poor service when it comes to deliveing your refund, on charging so much money for a over weight bag, it has been over a month and the check has not reach my address. THIS IS VERY POOR FOR THE COMPANY

Delta is a sorry company to work for. You work for them and you might don't receive a check Because of their sorry staff members in the payroll department. As well as their other staff members of the company.

I recently flew Delta on my trip to Nashville. I am a very frequent business travelor and I must say that the experience was great. In particular, one employee went above and beyond to help me enjoy my flight. Kate Leming (CNG-125 DL065911) was extremely helpful assiting me to board my flight. There was a short window between flights and I was running late boarding. She was completely aware of my timing and ready for me when i arrived. I was very happy thanks to Kate..

This airline is the worst customer service. They publish a fare and I buy it one day the next day I have to buy 2 more tickets on the same flight and time and they want $250.00 more. I buy the ticket then a week later they lower the same fare by $200 and I call up and they say basically tough shit. If you want the cheaper fare we will have to charge you $150 a ticket to redo the ticket. Then I ask about there best rate guarantee, that only applies if you let them know within 24 hours of buying the original ticket. I used to fly Delta 4-5 times a month, no more this is the last flight I will ever book with them

The only reason they got any STAR rating is because there was no choice for a 0 as that is what they deserve. Their customer service is aweful. They are rude and arrogant. Lost luggage no one seems to care to try to assist in expediting trying to find the bags especially when you are on your honey moon in a resort in CANCUN the $50 a day is not going to help much buying clothes when you have to pay for $80 Cab ride to Cancun fromt he resort to buy anything!!!! This will be the last time I ever use Delta again and if they are the last Airline on this earth.

My son and I flew a direct flight from LaGuardia to Fort lauderdale on March 10, 2012. 30 min. into the flight there was a LOUD noise as if something hit the plane but we were too high for a bird to have hit us. then the plane lost it's equilibrium and the plane swayed a bit from left to right. no announcement as to what happened for over 5 minutes. something clearly was wrong. finally the captain made an announcement that they are working on the "situation". not very reassuring. finally the captain said we lost our left engine and need to land in 20 minutes to philapdelphia. very scary!!!! don't' they do maintenance on their planes????? we landed, the fire trucks checked out the engines. we deplaned. overheard a ground person telling the pilot the engine was in a million pieces. NICE! we waited over 4 hours for a new plane. were given $12.00 meal vouchers which doesn't cover much in an airport. and lots of lame apologies. no travel vouchers for the huge inconvenience! this was a mechanical problem that was quite scary for us as passengers. Delta did not handle this well at all!!! Will never recommend delta to anyone ever again.
