I live in Miami Florida, and I was informed by one of the educators at my school that Costco now have a National program in Miami Dade County for educators. I wanted to join this program and was referred to speak with Jeri who was over customers relations at the Coscto on S.W. 120 street and S.W. 137 th Ave. I was informed that since I was a member before the program was implemented I could not join. I did not renew my membership and left the store. I also hold a membership at BJ store so I will shop there. It should all be about customer relations and I don't think I was asking for too much, if she didnt know the code Jeri could of called her supervisor or been a little more interested in my concerns.
I recently purchase a jar of MaraNatha almond butter from a Costco south of Portland. I'm an almond butter lover and therefore I was excited about getting a large jar at a great price, but this stuff is so bad I have to through it in the trash. I hope Costco management reads these emails because they need to find another brand. Costco buyers usually find good quality merchandise and sell at a great price, but this product should not be sold at Costco or any other store. I've purchased Maranatha almond butter before and didn't care for it but thought, hey if it's from Costco, it has to be good. The jar I bought tasted stale almost rancid. I suggest Costco buyers look into "Kettle" brand. It's more expensive but good quality.
I bought a tv online from costco, 4 months later it's broke, it's a piece of junk. The make of the tv is vierro, they stopped selling it online, they know it's a piece of junk. Because they have a 3 month policy, they won't let me return it, it's not that I am dissatisfied with the product, it broke after 4 months. I am now jumping through hoops trying to get the tv fixed, concierge service was of little help, they got me a phone number, I thought concierge service implied more than that. Bottom line is costco does not stand behind their product, it would seem a tv would last more than 4 months. I am now without a tv, listening to a corporate shill on the phone telling me about some 90 day policy, kiss my rear end costco.
Your Costco Concierge service for customers who have purchased computers is exceptional. Raphael (badge #411083) was prompt in answering my call regarding installing a printer driver to a wireless network and remained patient and professional throughout. He even contacted Canon(Danny #2512)regarding the driver installation when the Acer notebook purchased at Costco was not recognizing a wireless printer on the network. This service is outstanding and I will not hesitate to purchase other products from Costco in the future. Thank you.
I shopped at the Orland Pk, Il, costco on 12/18. After paying for our purchase my daughter and I headed for the exit where we handed the receipt to the person at the door. After going through every item on the receipt she suddenly exclaimed very loudly that we hadn't paid for 2 gallons of 2% milk. I was shocked considering the fact that once you approach the register your cart is taken from you, it becomes the responsibility of the cashier and the person helping them to ensure all items are scanned. And in my case there were two people going through my cart at the register. The amount of the milk was $3.68, I had spent $241.18. The receipt checker was now calling for help again in a very loud voice, saying that I hadn't paid for 2 gallons of milk, I felt like I was being accused of theft. A woman eventually came over, and again checked the receipt, I asked where I could pay, I had to follow her back to a register, and write another check; It was very embarressing for my daughter and I, since there were other customers in the area all staring at us. It wasn't the $3.68 that bothered me since I had expected to buy the milk. It was how the store handled it. This was poor customer service at it's worst.
I love costco,i go to the ocean twp one in nj,i will say it again, costco is my fav store,BUT,i use to buy 3 cases a week of diet dr pepper, now they dont sell it,why?? And i also have writing down comment in the comment box for a year,i guess costco throws them away,i wanted to know why costco does not carry yoo hoo in cans, between that and diet dr pepper i would be buying them every week.
Costco, You really need to re-arrange you store better. It has looked like this for 20 years now. Also whenever I have to leave the store after checkout, I feel like I am being interrogated by Natzi's. Are you guys American or are you Socialists or Communists? There has got to be q better way to feel freedom whenever a customer leaves your store. Make some improvements!!!
Went to Roseville Costco today....at least I tried. I have to drive about 50 miles one way, just to get there to not shop, no place to park...this is the 3rd time. I have to end up shopping elsewhere, don't want to but...its insanity. Because it is my 3rd time I am sure others go through this too....when are you going to build another Costco? I heard one might be going in Auburn Ca.???? Hopefully.
I was buying POP Chips for the longest time, because they are my husbands favorite. I went to the store last Saturday, Dec 10th and they tell me they have been discontinued. WHY??????? Why would you discontinue a product that sells so well. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE.
Noticed the last 3 times going to my Shelby Township Michigan Costco there wasn't any Crystal Light Lemonade in the box which makes 2 quarts at a time. There was those "on the go" packs. What gives? I've been buying in the bigger size ever since I got my membership. Without this product stocked in your store, my visits will decrease greatly. J. Patrick Macomb Township Michigan
costco #65 favors and caters to part time and limited part time employees by giving early shifts and mid shifts, where senior and veteran employees have to close. the ones the ones without families, the ones without any seniority, the ones that will not be with the company in a year. this decision was made by the warehouse manager, that actually has a family but still tends to be able to get off work by 6:30pm every night. Why is it the veterans, who put in their time when they first started by closing 3 nights a week, but 10+ year employees are now working until 9-10 everyweek. granted it is one night a week, but where is the logic. if it is made to be fair, then where is the fairness when people 6 months - 2 years dont have any closing shifts a week. I am thankful to have a job... i am thankful for the benefits of costco, but not thankful for the hours.
Hello Corporate Headquarters, A "Lowe's" store just closed in our town and my family and I were discussing what a great place it would be for a Costco's store! So many people from our town drive to Costco's about 20 minutes away but we'd LOVE a Costco's here. Any chance that could be looked into? Thanks! Dave Filipek
To Costco, A "Lowe's" store just closed in our town. My family and I were discussing how great it would be if a Costco's opened in this empty space. Many people from our town drive about 20 minutes to the nearest Costco, but we'd LOVE a Costco closer. Any chance? Thank you. Dave Filipek Meriden, Connecticut 203 238 7655
I am very displeased with Costco's "A Decade of Cooking the Costco Way" book I received at my local store. The book was printed in China, I would like to know when corporate greed will end. Sure Costco saved money by producing the book in China but how many printers are out of a job in America. These were the same people who would spend there hard earned money at Costco. I own a printing company in Hauppauge New York. I employ 55 people. I will be canceling my corporate membership and will encourage my employees to do the same, we will do our shopping at BJ Wholesale club (they print in America). Even thou this will not impact Costco one bit someone has to start to bring jobs back the the country that made Costco a success.
Did anyone eat samples at the Hawks Prairie Costco yesterday (Sunday, 11/20/2011) and get sick?? I ate 4 things: a slice of terriaki meatball, a chicken tortilla thing, a piece of pre-sliced white cheese, and a square chunk of another kind of cheese. Yes, obviously I wasn't interested in the actual product or I'd know what they were :) Anyway, woke up this morning feeling like there's a kung-fu fight happening in my gut. Just curious if ayone else got sick?
Thank you, Jude, (11/13/2011) for your comments: DITTO! Unless my husband and I urgently need a prescription or other essential item, we avoid Costco on weekends like the proverbial plague because of the crowds. Now with the holidays, the aisles are narrower because of additional merchandise and the samples stations are adding to the congestion. Why doesn't Costco locate the samples stations in one section of the store? (And allow plenty of room.) And who needs to sample canned string beans or corn? Who doesn't know what oatmeal tastes like? Adding to the aggravation, the people doling out the samples don't keep the trays filled! If the product were constantly available, customers could help themselves and move on! Customers hover near the product they want to try and descend as soon as the server starts to dish up the product, and some of these servers take F O R E V E R to dish up a few samples. The desirable samples disappear and the wait for the next round is 6 to 10 minutes! What is the problem with providing adequate, continuously served samples for those who wish to try them? Yes, some customers (and employees) make their lunches from the samples, but don't you expect that? Customers who want to try a new product and find an empty tray with the server standing around and who say the next round will be available in 6 or ten minutes, don't understand or appreciate the value of my time...I won't wait. I hope other customers complain about the problem of the samples stations and their slow, inept servers. Costco's losing potential sales because of them.
The interview process is a bloody joke! Asked to go sit in the break room, waited 15 mins. Someone comes in an says "lets go sit in the food court and do this." really?? Yes, really and so we did....1st question out of the interviewers mouth, "do you have a problem communicating?" 2nd question. "define ethics, and I like details." 3rd question, "give me an ethical situation, and I like details." what a gas, this guy never looked up from the folder he was writing in, and when I was answering the questions, he made faces and then looked back down to write some more in pencil! Received a letter of of condolence saying they'd gone with someone else and the letter was "nice to have gotten aquainted with you, good luck in the future." signed by a female!! My interview was with a male! poor interview process, by a cocky dude in a polo who works in a warehouse. I'll remain a member and demand top notch service from this msp!
I am a long time Costco customer and until recently have, for the most part, enjoyed my shopping experiences. Over the years, Costco has made a lot of money on me and my family. My issue is the ridiculous number of sample tables. There are so many samplers at the Hawks-Prairie, Washington store, concentrated at the end caps of the frozen foods section, that it is worth one's life to navigate the area. Obviously, Costco has no control over their numerous rude, thoughtless customers, but REALLY?? does each sample table need its own 35 gallon trash can sticking out in the aisle to further reduce needed space? With customers "parking" their over-sized carts in the middle of the aisles -- because apparently Armageddon is 2 days away and the samples are the very last shreds of food on the planet -- even pushing through one another, and it is no longer possible to actually shop! Don't for one minute believe that saying a polite "excuse me" in attempt to pass a blocked aisle will get you anywhere either ... you will receive a vicious dose from one of the people clawing their way to their last meal! I hate to even contemplate what will happen if there is ever a fire or other problem that impacts public safety. Having said that, I wonder whether the fire marshal would be interested in hearing about this ridiculous situation. Things that make you go, "hmmm."
I've been a satisfied Costco member for a very long time. I have one big problem. I live in a condo and own a smaller car. Today I saw some bedroom furniture in the warehouse but I have no way to get the items to my place. Why don't you have a local door drop off service available for larger Items that won't fit in car trunks or small SUVs. I am sure I am not the only customer that has this problem.
