We bought a Jeep Patriot demonstrator model (8000kms) from a Jeep Dealership in Albion, Brisbane. After driving it for 57000 kms, the gear box has gone. The warranty was 3 years...phew. However we are now told that the warranty began when the dealership started using it as a demonstartor and not when we purchased it. The dealership registered it as a demonstrator in June 2009, we bought it from the Jeep dealer on 04 September 2009. The gearbox diagnosis was today 6 August 2012. Do the maths, but we suffer because the 3 year warranty we were told about, actually started 3 months before we purchased it when the dealership started using it as a Jeep demonstartor model. Not even a hint of compassion or good will, with the dealership referring to Chrysler head office in Melbourne and then them referring us back to the dealership. I thought Jeep was a yank tank, built to last...57000kms? Next purchase Hyandai Sorrento, at least you get 5 year warranty with them. If Chrysler want to offer an olive leaf, the registration is 422LRZ and the delership was Jeep, Albion, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia or alternatively see Chrysler facebook page to get in touch.
I bought a 2011 Nitro heat (brand new) last June (2011). With the exception of some small indicators (turn signal coming on itself, lights flipping off on their own) the car was fine until January of 2012. Then the car glitched while I was driving (45 mph). At this time all of the screens and electronics were blitzing and I had NO CONTROL over the car. The brakes/ accelerator didn't work, NOTHING. Thankfully I was able to pull into a parking lot and turn the key to the off position and let it coast to a stop. It was taken to a nearby dealership who could find no codes or problems. THEN this happened on several more occasions. MORE electrical issues occurred, half of the time the car will NOT start. I am a college student and have been stranded at 9:30- 10 o clock at night on the side of the road or in a parking lot because my car will not start. It is currently in the shop and had to be towed there. It has multiple problems and has been at my local dodge dealership for at least 40-50 days. cumulatively, in and out of the shop constantly. We recently spoke with the service manager who agreed he would not drive the car and thinks it should be replaced as they cannot find what is wrong with it and Chrysler's technicians are telling them to replace parts that have ALREADY been replaced. We are waiting to hear back to see if our case was approved for replacement, but I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied. I feel like we are getting strung along and things are taking much longer than they should be. It is a HUGE inconvenience and extremely frustrating. I bought a new car and I want it to work like a new car. Not only is this car unreliable it is UNSAFE for me and anyone driving around me when it is not working properly. It would be nice for Chrysler to let us know what is going on. We are at a point where we are giving Chrysler a few more days to work with us but have already contacted an attorney if nothing happens in this next week.
I own a 2010 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. I am 65 yrs old and have owned at least 20 trucks in my life and I'm here to swear by this RAM. Not only does she run like a top,...she goes down the road like a scalded dog when you want that HEMI to kick in. Every day when I walk out to her,...there she sits,.... Gleaming and beautiful. Ready to take me wherever I desire. And talk about looks,...the duals cut into the rear bumper,.. the Chrome mirrors,.. Chrome Fuel Door,...The big Four Doors with Chrome handles, Tonneau cover,... and that lovely Ram Nose.. this truck don't bow down to any Ford, Chevy, GMC or Toyota and Nissan. I have compliments coming into my world all the time from folks when they see or get into this truck. You guys should be proud...real proud. I know I am. (and I only own one of them, compared to you guys) Thanks so much.... Ron Corley SFC, US Army (ret) Seekonk, MA
I own a 2006 chrysler 300. I went home for lunch and couldnt get my car out of park to go back to work. Was told by chrysler, and dodge owners that they had this repaired on their vehicles within the last year under recall. I had my car repaired at the chrysler dealership, after they told me that there was no recall for this issue, at the cost of $381.00. I went online at home and found the recall for the "shifter" issued February, 2011. I contacted chrysler corp and was told that due to the age and mileage of my vehicle, i am not considered a part of the recall. Huh??? Then she said that my VIN is not a part of the recall. Then she said that cars were recalled based on where they were made. OK. The recall letter do not state any of this, just Models 2005-2007, Dodge Chargers, Magnums and Chrysler 300's. Read it yourself K39 Recall. If they are recalling 2005-2007, in the year 2011, the cars would be kinda old, and as such, have quite a bit of mileage. I have 103,000 miles on my car. I feel I am being treated very unfairly by chrysler and i will not purchase another chrysler product as long as i live. Ever!!!!!
It seems that my 2007 Chrysler aspen is having the same problem as many others with error codes p0456 and p0455, if this evap system leak is so common why is this not a recall item? It seems there are many chryslers with the same problem so it must be something in the making of the fuel tank, wouldn't the fuel system be a safety hazard to drivers if so many of us are experiencing the same leak?
I am trying to contcat you about the grass at your old inport export building on wyoming and mcgraw ! You can not get down the side walk ! Its higher then me ! thank you ! William Gutowski
I leased two (2) Chrysler Jeeps in July, 2004 with trade-ins and a $10,000 deposit. One was a Jeep Cherokee and mine was a Jeep Liberty Columbia. My Liberty has had numberous repairs on it in from 10/11 to 3/12. Six months on contineuos repair. It still has one repair to go but cannot afford it since I am on a fixed income. It leaks oil and have to keep checking it to make sure the oil does not get below level. Besides the work on my engine, three (3) of my windows are broken. The motors are gone in the driver's window, left rear and right rear windows. Only the passenger window is working and I am not too sure how long that will last. Since the motors are so expensive, I cannot get them fixed. I have shims in them to keep the windows up. Since I am 72 and on a fixed income, is there anything Chrysler Jeep will do for me. I am in a position where I cannot afford to trade it in. Please contact me at 954/437-9820 or at tootsbrescher@yahoo.com. I would appreciate anything you can do for me. Thanking you in advance. Shirley
I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 still under warranty. I have been the only driver and have taken very good care of this vehicle. The vehicle has never been off road. On my way back from Vegas to Salt Lake, the gas gauge started acting up. It went down to empty and then back up to full. I took it in to Larry H. Miller Dodge in Sandy, Utah and they diagnosed the problem to be the fuel sensor on the fuel pump and ordered a new part. They called 8 days later and said the part was in so I scheduled the part to be installed. After taking the truck in, they called me a few hours later and said that the fuel pump came apart and the problem is a result of impact and it was not covered by the warranty. I went over their immediately and told them that that was impossible because it the gauge acted up while I was 2 hours into a 5 hour drive and nothing impacted the gas tank. They did not purge the tank and had a block of wood under the tank. I took pictures of the underside of the tank - no impact marks at all.. The underside of vehicle is super clean without any marks whatsoever. I told them that they must have damaged the tank because it had a bow in it. I can not get any satisfaction from Dodge or the dealer - the Dodge service advisor won't even give me the number of the area manager. The dealer told me that they have seen problems before with the fuel gauge when the tank had been impacted, I said if that is the case, when you diagnosed the problem, why didn't you tell me then that the tank had been impacted. The only answer he could give me was that the tech who did the diagnoses was not available. I know one thing - I did nothing wrong to the vehicle and buy new vehicles so I won't have issues. If I am unable to get satisfaction, I will never buy another Chrysler product and will advise everyone I know to stay away from Larry H. Miller dealerships.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER BUY ANY CHRYSLER VEHICLES. I bought a 2007 Jeep Compass with 47,000 miles this year 2012 from a dealership in Santa Fe NM and WAS SCREWED! Because at the time, I wasn't aware of OR told of "lower Ball Joints & control arms" needing to be replaced. They disguised it by putting new tires on it. The folks involved at the dealership have been recently FIRED because of issues such as these. Checking online for 07 Jeep Compass reviews, I seen where this IS AND CONTINUES TO BE AN ISSUE WHICH CHRYSLER IS SEEMINGLY IGNORING. Under NO CONDITIONS CAN MY WIFE & I AFFORD TO REPAIR YOUR OBVIOUS MISTAKES. We are both elderly, on Social Security with a minor on a fixed income and now I have a $1600 repair bill pending which I have no idea how to do. Why ain't you folks had a recall to address these issues? Will my front end have to fall off & injure someone before you do anything about it? If I had another vehicle, I'd damn sure send this piece of junk BACK TO CHRYSLER.
I took my car in for service, a 2006, Dodge Caliber.... The mechanic took a look at the sub frame and told me, I didnt' need a car inspection... I needed a new car... Chrysler has failed to compensate me for the repairs, or even had some type of plan in place to recall these vehicles...The lower control arms on all the tires are in need of replacement....the Mechanic has stated that a car in this condition would have been driven over 30 years and wouldn't be in this bad of shape. I am the first to formally say, I am suing Chrysler, and if anyone else would love to join in a class action lawsuit to keep your family safe, I advise you to contact me, angellwright@hotmail.com, and join in the lawsuit

2B3KA43R9 8H248327 Vehicle Description: DODGE CHARGER SE FOUR DOOR SEDAN Model Year: 2008 Car ran hot. Took it to a dealership. They inspected the vehicle and stated that there was water in the intake. The housing blew off because it got so hot. Dealership stated it was not covered under warranty. The heads needed to be replaced and the intake was my responsibility. I agreed but they kept my vehicle a week and then stated they could not fix it under the warranty. Which I have an unlimited power train warranty. They told me to go though my insurance and they stated they did not find ant water and then a diagnostics and determine it was mechanical. They still refused to fix it and blamed me for the cause of the issue with my car.
On May 3, 2012 I purchased a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country Mini-van with 14,000 miles on it. Put 2000 miles on it and engine lite came on--took to service department on June 11, and was told would be back in a couple of days. Was given a loaner car. Being handicapped it was almost impossible to get in and out of a regular car so after 2 weeks was given a Trail Blazer to drive. The A/C did not work in this vehicle. On July 3rd received a call saying they were bringing my van back--after waiting almost an hour saw another loaner coming up the drive as the service Engine light came back on in the van and once more was taken to the service department. All of the problems with the mini-van was a cylinder head issue. Finally on July 12 the vehicle was returned supposedly fixed. Drove about 100 miles and vehicle now has an oil leak. Today, July 17th the auto is once more in the service department. Don't know how long it will be gone this time. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AT ALL. I do not blame the Sales Department for the issue--feel poor workman ship on the parts.
I had a jeep-liberty 2002, my jeep had about 80.000 miles and so far had been an excellent vehicle except with the rear right door power window 2 motors replaced and againt defectible or bad part I do not use too much that window, I went to the dealer but since the motor is more than a year they not responsible for nothing, I call the headquarters but Igot the same answer, I am very dissapointed with this part and the cost for repairs to this probem my complaint is about this part and the lack of service to respond for this problem
How Could I Have Been So Stupid I bought a new car last week. I hate the process, but needed a car. I had waited until my trade in was almost 8 years old, because of the dread I felt at dealing with the unscrupulous. Maybe there is a decent human being in the car sales business, and I apologize to him and or her if this offends, but I just haven't met that person. I did my homework, I knew the car I wanted to buy and what it would cost. I knew everything I could, including the exterior and interior color I wanted. I even knew the price and markup. I made my way to the first dealership where they proceeded to keep me waiting while they did a search for a car they didn't have on the lot. They were "certain" they could find it. We had a series of conversations in which they tried to whittle away my car "wants" in order to sell me something I really did not want. After 6 hours or so of this process, I had agreed to a car I didn't want, (which was the point) and they still had to go get it the next day. After going home (in one of their vehicles at their insistence) I changed my mind. I notified my sales person that I did not want them to go and get this car. I wanted them to know before they had gone to any more trouble. I was being nice. The next morning I returned their car and was met by the business manger with more hostility than was due me. He practically tossed my keys at me as opposed to placing them in my hand. The same day, I embarked upon another attempt at purchasing a car. Right away I made the salesman aware that I would not under any circumstances be held hostage in his office for hours in order to be worn down once again. He agreed that this was pretty sad behavior on the part of the previous car dealership. After sitting in his office for an hour after discussing "exactly" what I wanted which was a Dodge Journey with the third row, fold down seats included, white exterior, gold interior (pretty simple huh?) I wrote a note on the back of his card telling him to call me if he found what I wanted. I proceeded to go to my car, as the receptionist watched with alarming dismay. I could hear the voice in her head saying, "oh my God, she's getting away!" Two miles down the road, my cell phone rings. David, my salesman is on the line. "We have your car!" He shouts into the phone. He rattled off that it included every single thing I wanted and for the right price. He even gave me my out the door price while on the phone. I was impressed. Not with him, but myself. I had shown them I wouldn't take the abuse, and I got what I wanted. Right? Wrong. That's when I began to trust. Bad idea. My car was in a neighboring state and they would have it by 7 that evening. "Here, sign all the paperwork so your husband will be proud of you and it will save time when he comes in to sign." (Don't let her out the door without signing, else she could change her mind.) I got the call around 6 p.m. saying my car was on the lot. My husband and I jumped in the car we would be trading in and went to pick it up. By the time we finished with him signing the paperwork, and me wondering how my signing earlier could have possibly saved any time, it was around 8 p.m.. People were standing at the door waiting for us to leave, and the new car was pulled to the door with car doors opened. The salesman with a big happy grin and hand out in congratulations, ushered me into the driving seat. We were off. Tired of the whole process of the last few days, it was hard to get very enthusiastic, and I just simply didn't feel like exploring the vehicle when I got home. I also needed to pack for the trip we were taking to Chicago the next day. We loaded up our new Dodge Journey the next morning and again we were off. After driving for 150 miles or so we pulled into a convenient store. My husband decided to look in the back where our luggage was for whatever reason, and took out a few pieces of luggage to do so. He pulled up our third row folded down seats to discover no seats! We immediately got on the phone with our salesman who feigned ignorance that we wanted a third row seat to begin with. Many calls later, we were on our way back to the dealership. By the time we got there, it being a Saturday, our salesman had left, (and yes he knew we were coming), and we had to deal with the general sales manger. We found out the harsh reality that there was no "three day out" clause on our contract, and we were told that our own car (traded to them only the night before) was gone! Wholesaled that morning, or so he told us. After a bad start to the conversation, in which he blamed me for the fact that they drove to the next state to get a car I didn't ask for, he "promised" to make it right. He gave me "his word" as he put it, even though I asked for it to be in writing. I know now, he just wanted to get us out the door. So once again, I am at a loss as to how to overcome the deceit and dishonesty of a car salesman. I am convinced, there is no way. Not only is there a lack of integrity in the sales people and management, but it bleeds into those who simply answer the phone. Don't even try to get to someone that wants to avoid you. For the record, the one car dealership out of the two, and the one who has earned the distinction of the "Most Dishonest and Insulting" award is Dothan Chrysler Dodge. Were we stupid for not checking the car out as the sales manager inferred when we returned to pick up the car, even though we were being rushed out the door and into the car? Yes. What were we guilty of? Trust. I heard these words from my salesman many times that day. "Trust Me." I heard them even more from Sales Manager, Jason when we came back. "Trust Me." Yes, we are guilty of the unforgivable. We Trusted.
My complaint is we received a notice from a collection agency for a bad check, which we did not write. This is false information. The dealer ship said they were sent out to a lot of customer by mistake. This is so wrong. I am going to write the corp office with my complaint and the better business braeu. We love the car but if a company is going to do sent out false information on it customer, I will never buy a car from Chrylser again.
I purchased a new Dodge Grand Caravan in March 2012. This week I was waxing the car and discovered all kinds of debris jammed into side bumper guards on each side of the tail gate, near tail light, and along the top of the tailgate. This car appears to have been in a flood and not reported to me at the time of purchase. As I was a happy owner of my 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan and knew of its dependability I just picked a new one out and bought it. Is there anything recorded on this vehicle relating to a flood? Car Fax? The transmission does not shift smoothly either and is sluggish at times. My dealer did an adjustment, service bulletin, that helped some but has not corrected the problem. Any suggestions? Gas mileage is excellent at 28.9 highway @67 MPH and 23.3 city getting better as I only have under 3,000 miles on it. Also the use of the Zone Improvement Plan (ZIP CODE)is tax fraud. My 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon's engine started shutting off randomly. It might fail at a stop light or it would completely cut off at highway speeds. The engine would restart immediately after I cut it completely off and then turned it back on, but there was no rhyme or reason to when the problem would occur. I took it to a Crysler dealer on Friday, June 22d, and the Service Manager actually saw the problem occur when I pulled in. We left the Rubicon there until Tuesday morning, June 26th, when the service department called and said to come pick up the vehicle as they could not determine the problem. I was charged $102 plus had to spend another $100 on a rental car waiting to have the problem fixed. The Crysler Service Repair Manager told me if the problem occurred again within 30 days I could bring the jeep back in and would not be charged for them to look at it. The problem did reoccur but I chose to take it to a local repair shop. They found the problem within 15 minutes, ordered the part, and the total charge is $160 for the diagnostic serice, the parts and the labor. Having said all this, the Service Manager was very nice and apologetic for not being able to solve my problem, but with lack of expertise like this I won't be dealing with Chrysler again.
I read about your company getting out of Nascar. Shame on you for not caring about you many followers. At present I own a 2005 Dodge Ram, a 2005 Dodge Magnum and a 2008 Sebring retractable. I was ready to trade in my truck for a new ram, but that will not happen now. I am a college professor ( Archaeology )and antique car buff. I own a 73 charger, 69 sport fury convert. and a 78 440 powered Magnum. I, like many other club members feel betrayed. I have owned Mopars since 1964. No more. I plan to sell my antiques, trade for something else and tell nascar and Chrysler to pound sand. If you guys can noty exhibit loyality to your customers, then how can you expect it in return. Nascar will get their reward when Dodge fans stop going to the track and watching Nascar on TV. No mopar fan will sit in front of the boob tube to watch Fords and chevys race toyotas. That is until tyhey switch brands. Most sincerely yours, David M. Wright- Temperanceville, Va.
