2012 Dodge 1500 Lemon

I bought a new truck in March 2012, drove it off the lot with only 56 miles on it. I love my truck except for the issue I've dealt with for months now. I go out to start it and half the time it wont start. It's been in the shop numerous times, dodge opened a case on it and had their star mechanics on the case. They replaced the starter and reprogrammed the keys...still continues to have the same issue. So here I am, a single mom who works hard to be able to buy a $30,000 truck and have dependable transportation and stuck with a lemon. Dodge corporation refuses to due a buy back stating it doesnt qualify! So now im trying to decide if I want to hire the attorney who wants to take my case. Dodge corporation refuses to return my calls also. What kind of customer service is that? The lady on the phone told me she understands my frusteration, I assured her therres no way she understands my frusteration, I know thats what she gets paid to tell me!

Chtysler Town and Country Minivan

My wife and I who are both disabled rented this mini van. This minivan was the BEST VEHICKE we EVER rented!!! I didn't know they made a vehicle so GREAT! The horsepower is TREMENDOUS, the doors shut and lock by themselves, the movie player was GREAT for our small grandson, There was plenty of storage, sound speakers throughout, heating and cooling, throughout, carries seven people. I slept in the back laying down. Gas was equal to our chevy hhr. EVERYTHING was PERFECT. Inside overhead lighting etc. ANYONE should buy one! Thgere are many other features I don't have space to tell about. I wish I owned a Chrysler minivan when I was younger! This is the BEST VEHICLE EVER MADE on the road, bar NONE!

Guess what happened to me?

1st experience: Bought my 2009 jeep wrangler brand new. Just before going on vacation I decided to have the oil changed before I left for AZ. We had just stopped for the night when a man walked up to us and stated " you have a leak". I took a look and the oil was dripping from around the filter. I opened the hood and found the dipstick was against the edge of the hood lodged NOT even in the dipstick holder and the filter was loose...almost falling off! Had to take it to a dealer in the area to add oil and tighten filter. 2nd: I had experienced a problem causing the engine to die out while driving. Took to the dealer where I purchased it from and told them what was happening as I drove it. They said they need an read the error code to know what is wrong. Yet it never stayed on long enough and when it died everything went off...including hazzard lights. Finally I was so mad I again took it back and left it there. They finally called me back telling me it was the wireless remote that was bad and they would replace it. They called me to pick it up when I got there they lost my key. Had to leave it again. The next day called me to pick up again this time the key they had made for the ignition worked just not the door to the drivers side as this is same key opens the doors. Then they drove it out to my employer and when I tried the key in the rear hatch, they forgot about this one and were going to leave my vehicle with the low warning fuel light on! Told them to take it back...AGAIN!!!! 3rd: Just a week ago I called the dealer about when my brakes woulld need to be replaced as I had reached over 43, 000 miles and no lights came on. They suggested I talk to the service department of which I left a message...no reply. Called again....left message no reply. Since my manufactures warranty was still valid I had to go back to the dealer each time. When I purchased an extended lifetime warranty. I decided to call my own mechanic. He worked on my other vehicles for 15 years! He just called me to tell he pulled off all four tires....YOU GUESSED IT...ALL BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no sign...no noise...and here I called just last week to get an answer as to when....??? This dealer has changed my oil, replaced recalls, repaired a torn spot in the convertible top( after 1 time coming down) rotated my tires twice, left the dipstick out, lost keys, checked fluids....never once even asked me whens the last time you had your brakes checked? When they asked everything else..........and still couldn't fix the problems I had when I noticed them. This is my first NEW vehicle..........and probably my last. By far the most terrible expereince I have had........I will never go back to that dealer again! I will however...tell my repair man how much I appreciate his kindness, honesty and that extra mile he went for me.....saved my life and maybe someone elses.

I have a 2010 town and country and the heater hose went out 2mos after purchase. They are charging me 620 to fix a known problem. That is BS.

I purchased a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica in 2006. Three days ago my car engine caught fire with me, my husband and 3 kids in the car. After doing a little bit of research I am finding that is common, and it should not be. I was never notified that there was a recall on any part leading up to the fire. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem and what they did on going about having Chrysler compensate their loss?

i purchased a 2011 chrysler 200 and i have taken the vehicle in twice with brake noise. they keep cleaning the pads and telling me its normal break in. i have 13k on this vehicle. customer service here is a joke in the service department.

I have a 2000 Dodge mini van. I understand that is not new, but since it takes forever to pay off a vehicle these days I expect that it will last a long time. My last mini van lasted almost 20 years and would have longer if someone else that was driving it would have made sure the oil was checked. I have found that this 2000 mini van I am driving has some major issues with corrosion regarding a pipe that runs the length of the van for the heating system. I am now having this same issue and needless to say it costs "an arm and a leg" to have it fixed. I did notice that Chyrsler recalled one year of these vans due to this problem, what about the rest of them? There is something wrong with this picture. I am a customer and I expect if you have a known issue that you take responsibility for it. I am not happy and unless Chrysler takes care of their problem I will not buy any one of their vehicles again. I have always been a "fan" of Dodge vehicles but this is something that makes me think twice about purchasing anything they make going forward. In this economic climate I do not have the means to just go out and buy a new vehicle or have this major fix done.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab that I bought new. This has been one of the best trucks I have owned until recently when the dash board started cracking. I have looked and asked around and have found this is a common occurrence in 02-03 range trucks. I have asked the dealer and Dodge with no luck on help replacing it as the costs is $1200.00-1500.00 dollars. At first it was just an eye sore but now has become a big safety concern as more cracks appear and the pieces start to get looser. They look like they could fly out in an accident and cause serious harm or worse. I was told there is no recall from Dodge on this and no recourse I could take but pay out of my pocket. I feel that I should not have to as this is clearly a defective part from one of Dodges suppliers. I am asking if there is anyone else out there with this issue to post a note to Dodge and ask for their help before someone really does get hurt or worse. I am seriously thinking of taking my pleas to the news to get help and raise awareness of the issue. I have seen other automotive manufactures do recalls for cosmetic issues including Chrysler in the 90’s for bad paint on some of their vehicles so I see no difference in this especially when there is possibly a safety hazard involved.

i think i might have a idea for you, theres a lot of us who would like to see dodge build a ram 3500 , 4500, 5500, hot shot model for us guys who pull flatbed trailers . high rise roof that extends from the front , slowly rises up to the back on a quad cab extends back another 32 inches or so comes down and back to the floor with a short bed on it and that would give us enough room to put a sleeper in it 1 peice construction! tell me what you think!

Yonkers Jeep on Central Ave sold us a Lemon Jeep ! Headquarters gave me two case numbers and dismissed it and said this is how it works. Well we are now getting a Lawyer. No one should BURN from Hot air Blowing out and Never turning off when all buttons and controls are off!! The managers there are clowns they made several disrespectful comments to us and never return calls. They are very unprofessional at the Yonkers location Jeep dealership and we bought a new truck not used !!!!

Very disappointed. I bought a 2012 Dodge Dart on Aug. 28, 2012. The first week I had it, the car would run rough occasionally in the morning and would eventually smooth itself out. Second week same thing. By the third week it was running so bad I was afraid to drive it and the car went back to the dearership in Plano, Il on Sept. 18, 2012 and they still have the car as of Oct. 3, 2012. The diagnosis was bad gas. Take into account this car had 50 hours of running time on the motor. So they drained the tank and possible replaced the fuel pump to remedy the problem. I didnt know what they did for sure since their service dept. sad it would be fraudulent to give me a repair order since I was not paying for the repairs -- which made no sense to me?? Well upon trying to deliver me the car(approx 35 miles) on Oct. 2, 2012 - the vehicle in question began doing the same thing that I brought it in there for. Bad gas? Not so much. I need a replacement car!!!!!!!

just want to complain about star chrysler in glendale, calif i should of done this along time ago my pt cruiser is 2005 sun visor keep braking they were replace but not the orginal type that had garage opener did not realize months later also my cover for my convertible is missing now from my trunk just not a trusing place not sure if they are still there do not go there.

Although I have been very satisfied with my 2009 Town &Country, I am perplexed by a recent failure of the heater hose assembly. I thought it was unusual for the hoses to fail, but when I searched the web, I found this to be a common problem dating back years. Some people have had to replace them several times. Why has Chrysler not addressed this problem and why do I have to pay to repair a known defect?5

I have a 2007 jeep wrangler, have had the death wobble dealer said my winch and winch bumper were to heavy for the front end., have had to replace a windsheild, have issues with a safety belt that wouldn't retract told me they couldn't duplicate the issue, must be my imagination.. had to replace a water pump gasket. and finaly the automatic transmission dumped reverse at only 33,000 miles cost me out of pocket $3800.00 chrysler sucks. i'd give them a zero if possible.

JESSE JAMES CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP IN EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MO, IS THE BIGGEST JOKE AS FAR A DEALERSHIP IS CONCERNED. RUSS STEPHENS, THE PARTS AND SERVICE DIRECTOR, IS THE MAIN RING MASTER OF THIS 3 RING CIRCUS. HIS WORD, EVEN IF YOU HAVE IN WRITING, ISN'T WORTH THE PAPER THAT HE WROTE IT ON. BOUGHT A NEW TRUCK WITH AN "I OWE YOU" (PROMISE) TO REPAIR A SCRATCH IN THE PAINT. HE ESTIMATED IT AT A CERTAIN AMOUNT TO REPAIR IT AND AFTER TRYING TO REPAIR IT IN A HALF ASS WAY AND REALIZING THAT IT WOULD COST MUCH MORE TO REPAIR IT THE RIGHT WAY, HE WITHDREW HIS PROMISE AND BASICALLY TOLD ME THAT IS THE BEST HE CAN DO AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING ELSE HE CAN DO ABOUT IT. WHEN I HAD BOUGHT THE TRUCK, I HAD TOLD HIM THAT I HAD TO LEAVE TOWN FOR AWHILE AND PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BRING IT BACK IN FOR THE REPAIR TILL SOMETIME TOWARDS THE END OF THE SUMMER (NORMALLY YOU HAVE ONLY 30 DAYS). HE SAID THAT HE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THAT AND TOLD ME THAT WHENEVER I HAVE THE CHANCE TO BRING IT IN, THAT HE WOULD HONOR THE AGREEMENT. WELL GUESS WHAT! AFTER REALIZING WHAT HAD TO BE DONE TO REPAIR THE SCRATCH, THE RIGHT WAY AND COST, HE THREW THE 30 DAY CLAUSE IN MY FACE! LIKE I HAVE SAID,"ALL DODGE RAM TRUCKS ARE MADE THE SAME, IT IS THE DEALERSHIP THAT MAKES THE TRANSACTION/EXPERIENCE WORTH IT OR NOT"! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT BUYING YOUR VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP BECAUSE HE, RUSS STEPHENS WILL SAY AND PROMISE YOU THE WORLD TO MAKE THE SALE AND AFTER THAT YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN! HE IS NOT A MAN OF HIS WORD! I HAVE BOUGHT 4 BRAND NEW DODGE RAM TRUCKS IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, FROM DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS, AND THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES OF CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE HAD! WHATEVER HAPPEN TO TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER AND HONORING YOUR WORD! CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PAYCHECK!

I will not even give Champion Dodge in Palestine Texas a 1/2 star. I havew been through so much with this dealership. started in April 2012 -- bought a 2012 challenger. ended up taking back due to paint not matching on the blueberry color, was given a rental while they decided if they were to repaint or what after 3 weeks I decided for them gave them back the car, dealership had sold my trade in so did not want to fork over the 10 grand they would owe me. after another 2 weeks still with no car they finally find one the same make car pick it up go back a week later to sign paperwork tried to charge me 3 thousand more for this car -- didnt work I refused to pay it, 2 1/2 months later finally get tags !! this week I get a call that they have put the wrong VIN# on all the paper work yes I am serious. so now I sit her with a car that they have screwed up on aqain. kicker of my complaint is that I did not even need a new car. this has been the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered. employees must be dumber than dirt if that is even possible. do not go there to buy a car unless you have a year to get everything done correct.

I AM VERY DISAPPIONTED IN CHRYSLER , I HAVE PURCHASE TWO VEHICLES FROM THEM.WILL NOT HELP WITH A SHIFTER PROBLEM IN MY 2006 300.

I have a 2005 Dodge Durango that keeps spilling fuel when I fill it up. I did my research and saw that there is a recall for this issue. When I call the dealers they say that there is nothing they can do that the recall does not effect my VIN. I had this issue taken care of once and that dealer told me that it was done under the recall. Isn't it the least bit possible that the wrong tank got put in my truck? I do not have the $715 that the dealer wants to replace the entire tank and that is the only way to fix it. Why does Dodge not want a good name?

I bought a 2008 Dodge Avenger with only 35000 miles on it. I have had it for going on a year. I have had to replace the alternator AND an alternator pulley. a week ago I have just found out that now there is an issue with the TRANSMISSION. The vehicle only has 47,000 miles in it!!! Are you kidding me? After getting the runaround form the crooks at the dealership, and Dodge? a freakin joke!! Basically I was told your warranty, is up and you are screwed. Now mind you, my husband is in the hospital as we speak facing life threatening surgery and has been in there for 10 days currently. He is self employed with no health insurance so we are self pay. I do not have my vehicle, bumming rides to hospital, borrowing vehicles from friends. Oh and I just paid my car payment yesterday.....Will NEVER buy a Dodge or Chrysler ever again. Its the little guy like me that make your company. Don't forget that!!! How do they sleep at night?

dodge and all there service centers suck , filled with people who talk cirles, sorry for the real worker in the factories but the should all have just fallen with the failed economy. This company is just wasting the tax payers money with every vechicle they put out!!!.....NEVER AGAIN
