Purchased a brand new Dodge Nitro In North Queensland Australia in December 2011. 3 days of purchasing , I noticed an oil leak on my garage floor. Returned the car to service department & was told they would have to put a Non Geniune seal in it until Chrysler in Australia could source a Genuine Seal. Transmision stopped leaking with the non geniune seal in it. Called in 2 months later ( February ) to now have the Geniune Seal fitted. Leaking started again. Returned the Dodge again, service department said would have to order in another Seal & again non genuine seal was fitted. Dodge goes back in , geniune seal fitted , still leaks , service department now takes the car for 8 days ( giving me a loan car ). Return to pick up the car am told they had to Hone out the Flange for the seal to sit properly & problem is now fixed. 4 days later noticed red transmission oil on garage floor again. Rang service again , bring it in I was told & we'll have a look at it ( I am an hours drive from the city ), looks like it needs a new Yolk I am told . But have to see if Chyrsler is willing to replace the Yolk & it will take 3 weeks to arrive from America !!! Drive home in the Dodge , car is now covered in oil splashes up the back rear door , all over my wheel flares , my paintwork has splashes of oil on it at the rear ! I then get down to check uner the car , there is an oil burning smell , Oil is burning on the hot exhaust . I have noticed this happens when I am on the highway & doing the legal speed of 100 klm . Chrysler sells crap cars , in the 6 months I have purchased this new car I have done only 5000 klm. The trouble started at 130 klm's !!!! Service Manager has recommended I do not take the car on any long trips , I am to only drive this car locally and I am to always check my Transmisson Oil before I drive it anywhere ! What a load of rubbish ! I have not even had my first service on this car yet ! It is not 6 months old ( 28th June , it will be ) ! I should not have to put up with a new car being like this & Chrysler does not have a very good name in Australia anymore either. My biggest regret is not coming across what all of you Americans have written on this site before I purchased my Dodge Nitro 2011 model . I have contacted The Office Of Fair Trading & The MTA here in Australia. Chrysler is being looked into . MTA advised me they could revoke their lience to deal here in Australia , if they ( MTA) deems my case is something Chrysler should have fixed straight away. MTA also advised me as far as they were concerned a Whole new Transmission should have already been replaced in the Dodge. I hope you all are able to go further on the problems you are having with your cars, it is such a damn shame . The Dodge Nitro is a very nice car to look at from the outside and I have had many people coment to me when they see it getting around how nice & eye catching the American made car is .
Why are Chrysler cars are known to be the The top easiest cars to steal. They are the Top stolen cars!... What areu gonna do about it?.... U need to make your cars more difficult to take!!!...
Hannah dealership in Vacnouver, Wa. refused to fix our wonderful old Magnum's transmission becasue they said it had water in it from the "ari-conditioning"...my Son called Corporate and they said it did not negate a warrenty to have water in the transmission. However, Hannah dealership did not fix it...their female service manager would not even talk to us on the phone! We traded it for a car we are unahppy with at Hannah and lost money. Hannah probably fixed the transmission for practically nothing and made money. Is this the kind of service Chrysler corporate gives? We won't be buying either a Hannah dealership auto, or a Chrsler product again even though we had been very happy with our 2005 Magnum (orginally our son's) becasue we fear poor service! If we bought a Chrysler 300 what kind of service and fairness could we expect? That is a scary thought!
I bought a 2011 dodge Ram, got only 5000 miles on it, the power sliding rear window broke,so i took it to the dealer, where i bought it,Delray Motors, Delray Beach Florida, the adviser said it was a common problem, left the truck there that morning. They called me, later that day,and said they do not have the part, Now has been three days still no part, you think that Chrysler would keep better stock of this part, with a problem so common,NOT HAPPY, I will never buy another Chrysler product again, thinking of getting rid of this Truck. ridefxst@hotmail.com
My husband purchased, as a gift for me, a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport. It is a piece of crap, it leaks..Chrysler dealership and service dept. has lied to me over and over and their customer no service has been worse. I can't get another dealership to do any repairs because of the horrible job of attempting to repair the leaking soft top. No other dealer wants to go behind such shoddy work and although it only has 3000 miles on it, I can't get more than $12K as a trade in because of the obvious leaks. Dealership can't "reproduce" leaking (3rd time in for repair!) 3 strikes and it's lemon law, but they know how to get around the laws through their arbitration boards. I've owned 6 Chrysler vehicles and will gladly give this piece of junk to anyone who will take it off my hands and I will never purchase another Chrysler product as long as I live. Wish I could put the dealership name here, but it is in the deep south, south Alabama, that is.
NO COMPLAINT!!\ I AM 60 YEARS OLD. I WOULD LOVE A CHYRSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE. PLEASE CONSIDER. THE SIZE WOULD BE GREAT FOR MY AGE GROUP. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!
I purchased a low mileage pt cruiser recently and am now having a issue with a shimmy in the front. The pathetic dealership thompson chrysler in baltimore maryland claims that the steel belt has seperated on the tire.I have taken to 3 different places to have it checked and they have all told me axles. Thompson you are pathetic
chrysler of modesto ca ,seems to try to take people for granted,by over charging them for service they dont need or not explaining in detail, somebodys crooked at that dealership?
My 2002 Dodge was acting up, guages gone haywire, running rough. My husband had replaced the a part which he was sure would fix it, but it did not. We took it to a dodge dealer in Yorkville, NY on 5/21. It is now 5/31 & is still at the dealer. The service is terrible. The service manager has not returned any of my husbands phone calls. My husband has had to call everyday. The service mananger is buying himself time because the part that was ordered is the WRONG ONE! My husnabd went to the dealer this morning & to his surprise he left pissed off. The mechanic who has been working on my truck did not show up for work today, so another day down w/no vehicle. Now we are 9 days w/out a vehicle & 3 hrs lost from work. To their surpise, someone at dodge will paying for my rental & the WRONG PART ORDERED. I sure hope these reviews are read by dodge!!
My Dodge Caravan has reached 100444 miles . When I need to I hope I. Can fin another just as good..
I bought a new 2012 Dodge Charger R/T Max and founds scratches over entire car due to shipping or detailing, deep scratches in several places, defect in clear coat and chips in the paint. Orange Park Dodge in Jacksonville, FL General Manager told me there was nothing he could do and to take it up with Chrysler. After a month no one has done anything or sent factory rep as they said they would and are closing my case. I purchased a $37,300 car and I can't believe they are doing nothing. Having to contact BBB and Lemon Law Lawyer.
I bought my son a used 2004 Sebring and have nothing but problems. After owning it only 2 months we had to have the engine replaced. Now it is in the shop for a new timing chain. My advice to people-stay away from Chrysler products. Even though they took our tax dollars for the bail-out they certainly turn their backs on their customers.
I purchased a 2012 Town and Country 03/22/2012. This was my first Chrysler product. I am discusted with that crap of ignition FOB. You have to get out of the vehicle, restart it remotely, to keep motor, and A/C ruunning. Almost lost my cat last Wedneday, because of the crappy FOB, it only ran for 15 minutes. I came back 45 minutes later, and the vehicle had stopped. I would never have purcahased Chrysler, had not offered a mini van. Purchased a mini van, because of my Best Friend. He went with me every where I went. He passed 2-days later.
Chrysler dealship in temecula ca has given me the worst service . I came in with a certificate and the service manager says I already had a free oil change before so my certificate was no good. I explained to him that was given to me because when I bought my car brand new that same week service engine light came on so my car was in shop for a week in a half and that's why I had received free oil change. He then proceeds to give attitude over a 25.00 dollar free oil change ( pathetic ). I speak to manager Alen and he is rude and worst than the first one. I have never experienced someone as rude and arrogant as this manager. Never buy Chrysler ...they suck!!!!
On July 2, 2011, I called Dodge customer service to report an issue with my 2008 Dodge Caliber. After having a routine oil change performed; I noticed that my vehicle was making a very loud noise from under the hood once I started it up and continued to sound like this as the car was being driven after I picked it up from the maintenance shop. My personal mechanic diagnosed that the car’s alternator was going bad, I then looked up info on the Chrysler/Dodge websites to see if there was an issued recall or something of that nature but found nothing. However, after further investigation of my own on 2008 Dodge owners via the internet, I found that there are hundreds of of others that have experienced this same issue. Many of they noted this happening when their vehicle had less than 100K miles on it, I found one instance where the owner stated it had less than 50K miles on her vehicle when this happened. A subsequent claim was filed with Chrysler for the problem and the vehicle was diagnosed & repaired (although the part should have been replaced and not repaired since to was defective to begin with) by Gwinnett Chrysler, who at that time was under the name Stone Mountain Chrysler and apparently different management. Additionally, all repairs were approved by the assigned case manager Pam. Also, please note that at the time of this incident my vehicle had less than 90K miles on it. Now, here we are 10 months later and the alternator has gone out completely. Since the same repair was done in 2011, and now that part has gone bad again by definition this incident falls within the guidelines of “Negligent Repair” and as such a claim under the repairing dealership’s General Liability insurance policy. Currently, I have been without my vehicle since 5/22 and I was advised when the new claim was filed that day that I would be contacted by a case manager within 24 hours (by 8 pm EST on 5/23). Unfortunately, this never happened as promised and I had to call back to the Customer Satisfaction division to find out who the case manager was and to obtain their contact info. A subsequent conversation took place with myself and Mark (the assigned case manager, ext. 4720255) on 5/24 which was extremely disheartening and it was incorrectly reiterated to me over and over that the repair warranty had expired, that I wasn’t the original owner & many other excuses that he attempted to relay to me as to why this is not Chrysler’s problem.
I have a 2007 Magnum, went to back it out of the garage, couldn't get it into reverse, looked at the owners manuel, did what it said, nothing, i was stuck, I am 250 miles from a dodge dealer, ended up getting it fixed,at a local garage,it was a "Plastic" part that broke, "plastic" that little part breaking disabled my car. I am disappointed with Chrysler, something like this should be made out of metal. Claudia/California
My girlfriend bought a 2010 dodge caliber with 31000 mile and it has a lot of problems but dodge says there's nothing wrong with it and won't do anything to help her since we've had it its broke down in the driveway and I've had to watch her cry over a car that should've been a happy thing dodge if I have to spend all my time making you loose business to pay for her tears I will dodge is heartless and don't care and I'm tired of watching her cry because of a large company that took my tax money to bail its self out and now won't help her. Dogde or anyone who can help call me Alex Dixon at .8144706472. I'm gonna pay for the permit to stand in front of a different dealership of Chrysler at lest once a month with a shame on Chrysler dodge sign and hope that will get the rich heartless owners to own up to her tears.
If I could give them a zero, I would. In October 2010, I could not move the gear shift out of park in my 2006 Chrysler 300. I paid and had the gear shift replaced. Today, May 18, 2012, I'm having the exact same repair done at my expense, again because this time, I can't move the gear shift into park. The service manager at the dealership had the attitude that he could care less about the gear shift or anything else concerning car repair. I will never, ever buy a Chrysler automobile again.
I HAVE AN OLDER DODGE CARAVAN 95 MODEL BUT KEEP IN MIND THIS IS 3RD TRANSMISSION AND ITS OUT AGAIN THEY DONT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY MAKE THIS ONE GOT CLOSE TO 65,OOO MILES OTHER 2 NO WHERE CLOSE TO THAT I WILL NOT INVEST IN YET ANOTHER TRANS. THEY ARE NO GOOD IM ON FIXED INCOME AND CANT AFFORD TO KEEP PUTTING IN TRANSMISSIONS WILL TAKE MY MONEY AND INVEST WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY WOULD I EVER BUY ANOTHER DODGE PRODUCT NO NO NO IF THEY WANT PEOPLE TO BUY THEIR CARS,TRUCKS,VANS THEN THEY NEED TO TAKE ALITTLE MORE PRIDE IN HOW THEY MAKE THE PARTS SHAME ON YOU DODGE
I bought a 2008 Grand Caravan & 2007 PT Cruiser. I am sorry I purchased these Chrysler products. Both of these cars and the dealership have been thorns in my side. I had to bring the cars back multiple times before issues were resolved. As of today I still have some of the same issues but now the warranty has run out and I am tired of bringing the cars back to them. Crysler sucks
