I purchased a new 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. It has had over six recalls. I have 64,000 miles on it and have put brakes on it three times, two radiator caps, and numerous other repairs. About three weeks ago, it broke down on the highway and now I'm being told I need a new motor. Evidently the Chrysler representative says it's my fault that I drove it while it was hot. I'm an English teacher, not a mechanic. I had no warning lights or other indications that it was hot. Our local dealership had it in for several repairs the month before it broke down. I am currently contacting a lawyer to see what further recourse I have. I debated purchasing other vehicles, but I am a staunch believer in buying an American car. How I wish I had bought the Honda.

My wife and I bought our 2006 PT cruiser in 2006, we have approx. 70,000 miles on it, and we have had nothing but problems with it. The warranty had just run out (ofcourse) and it started with the cam-shaft censor, replaced it with a new one for $80, lasted 2 days then it happened again. Took it to a garage around here and they replaced it with a "Chrysler" cam-shaft censor and a O2 censor, said it had to "Chrysler" parts in order for it to work properly. Next to go was the windshield wipers, they stopped working, they move on their own every once in a while about a half-inch at a time. Next, the brake lights stopped working, changed the bulbs, changed the pedal switch, checked fuse's, STILL CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT, NOR CAN WE AFFORD THE REPAIRS!!! I have searched the internet for similer issues and found a ton of people with the same damn problems! This is something that should be recalled and fixed on Chrysler's dollar! We don't know what we are going to do, we use that car for work and everything else, extra money is not easy to come by these days. We already put a large amount of cash into this lemon and still owe a lot of money on the car itself, we are disheartened and stressed beyond belief, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS...DO THE RIGHT THING CHRYSLER!!!!

I am the owner of a 2009 Jeep wrangler, less than 2 years old and less than 30,000 miles..the engine just dies....somehow the oil just dissappeared..the car is still under warranty..but because we didnt save our "purchase" receipts..chrysler will not pay for the purchase of a new engine....so at my own expense because i need a car to drive.. i had to pay 5,000.00 in repairs.....CHRYSLER IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY AT ALL, THEY ARE NOT CONSUMER FRIENDLY AND I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER/JEEP PRODUCT AGAIN..they are not worth your time and effort and corporate headquarters sits on their hands and does nothing. I sent my oil change ledger into "brian" and have heard NOTHING. so chrysler calls me with a customer service survey.. i tell them what i think, then they open another case and have someone call me by the name of "chelsea". who calls while i'm at work and i called her boss "betty" back..left a message..and who never returned my call.. then chelsea called again...and says that they are closing my case..because they never got a hold of me....THIS IS COMPLETE BULL....i HATE this company and their work ethics..I refuse to give this company anymore of my hard earned money, especially when taxpayer money had to bail them out....I hope america reads this. No one needs to buy anything from chrysler ever again...They are the worst company to do business with and their product isnt even that great. I was a jeep fan my entire life..until i actually purchased one of my own....now....I'D RATHER DRIVE A CHEVY!

I just wanted to thank you. I am convinced that my Dodge truck and seat belts saved my life and the life of my Grandson in a recent accident. It was a 2006, 2500 Mega Cab. Unfortunately it was a total loss as a result of this accident. I am in search of a replacement Dodge truck. Thanks you again.

MY HUSBAND, AND I, HAVE OWNED, THE 2007, CHRYSLER 300, NOW, WE HAVE AN 09, THIS CAR, IS GORGEOUS, COMING, AND GOING. WE WERE, GOING TO UPGRADE, TO THE 2011. WE DROVE, TO THE DEALERSHIP, TO LOOK, AT THE NEW MODEL. WE, WERE SO DISAPPOINTED, WHAT, ON EARTH HAVE YOU DONE, TO THIS CAR, THE FRONT, AND, BACK, OF THIS CAR, LOOKS AWFUL. I CAN'T BELIEVE, THE 2011, RECEIVED 5 STARS. I AM 52, YEARS OLD, AND THIS, WAS THE FIRST AMERICAN CAR, I EVERY BROUGHT, BECAUSE, I THOUGHT, IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. NOW, I DON'T KNOW, WHAT, WE'RE GOING TO UPGRADE TO. YOU COMPLETELY, DESTROYED, THIS CAR. THE SO-CALLED, NEW MODELS, ARE JUST PLAIN UGLY.

On Saturday 5/21/2011, we had our 2005 Jeep Liberty serviced at Keffer Chrysler Jeep, 8110 E. Independence Blvd., Charlotte NC. We were assisted by Advisor Shirley Wood. The Invoice # is JECS315900. In addition to having the bulb replaced in the left rear tail light, we had an oil-change and the right rear seat adjusted. While this work was being done, we received a call from your adviser who informed us that our front and rear brakes needed service. We gave approval to have both the front and rear brakes serviced (see invoice # JECS315900). We picked up our vehicle at approximately 5:30 PM on Saturday 5/21/11 and we proceeded to drive the vehicle to take care of errands and prescheduled appointments. At approximately 6:30 PM on Saturday 5/21/11, we were driving on Tyvola Road preparing to enter I-77 southbound when we noticed thick smoke and we smelled a harsh lubricant type odor coming from the right rear wheel-well. Other drivers were also pointing frantically at our vehicle. We pulled off the road. The vehicle continued to smoke and smell of burnt lubricant. We called AAA who towed our vehicle back to Keffer Chrysler on E Independence Blvd. At approximately 7:40 PM, AAA unhooked the vehicle at Keffer and charged us $30.00 for the tow. Frank, Used Car Sales Manager, arranged a ride home for us. We are asking for corrective service and a complete safety check.

Congrats on your new commercials.......nostalgic and hopeful....two things that this country does not have a lot of...."imported from Detroit" I love it. Three best commercials: 1. You guys 2. Sam Elliott.....Ram trucks 3. way back to Mean Joe Greene and Coke Thanks again for making something worthwhile......

The “trouble” began with the back windshield exploding in my face. And, yes, I say: “Exploded.” I was in my driveway talking to my 10 year old son, placed both hands upon the back hatch, pushed the rear hatch down towards the vehicle, and the back glass window blew up. So, here I am, running my hands through my hair, rivulets of blood streaming down my face, wondering if I have glass in my eyes, my son is speechless, and I am dreading approaching a mirror for fear of seeing my face with lacerations. I was in a state of shock, and though my injuries proved insignificant, I was both horrified and agitated that this blowout had occurred at all. When I called the dealership, they seemed pretty nonplussed by my story, told me to “bring it in tomorrow morning.” When I brought the Jeep in and explained to the service Manager (Rod) what had occurred, he kept his answers to monosyllabic utterances, snapped about 6 pictures of the back end of the Jeep and told me “we’ll be in touch.” I received a phone call from my dealership (Olathe Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep) within the hour, and was told that my warranty on the Jeep had expired. Me: “You have a deficient product that is going to hurt someone!” Dealership: “But, we cannot fix it—your warranty has expired.” Me: “The back window blew up in my face.” Dealership: “Glass does that.” This began an expedition through the Chrysler Service Center Department, the Chrysler dealership’s Service Dept, and the Jeff Briggs “Leave a written statement with my Administrative Assistant and I MAY get back to you” Department. The Chrysler Service Center Department was my best hope, and they quickly put together a case # for me, and then promptly put it on hold for 36 hours. Apparently, the last recorded memo for my Jeep had come from June of 2010, my service help could not find the photographs that had just been sent (?). When I told her (Colleen) that I could send the photos myself, she told me that Chrysler could only accept emails and photographs from the home dealership. When I asked her when these would arrive, she had no answer, but did tell me that she was “very sorry.” Glad as I was to receive the apology, this still left me w/o a back window on my Jeep, and the dealership with no return call for me to go on. After all, its not their concern--- “Glass does that.” The big frustration for me in all of this was that in all of my calls to the dealership, I was put on hold repeatedly, given voicemail dead-ends, provided the Chrysler Service Department’s # repeatedly (at this point, it was 5 hours and counting—only 31 hours to go!), and handed-off to no one who could explain what had happened. To Chrysler, this was simply an opportunity to make $800 replacing my back windshield. Repeatedly, all I heard was that my warranty had expired. At no point did anyone tell me what had caused my back windshield to explode. Previously, I had not been very pleased with my dealership or with my dealership’s service mechanics. Making an appointment through this dealership’s business line was akin to dialing a teen-run pizza restaurant, with particularly unprofessional assistants, non-responsive service mechanics, and the repeated dialings back to the home # in order to try, then try again. The administrative support staff recognized my voice, but continued to dispatch me to dead ends and voicemails. Anymore, when something goes wrong with my Jeep (and I love that ride—I really do!), I groan aloud, with thoughts of the time and effort involved in dealing with what amounts to be providers who don’t care, and “professionals” who don’t wish to provide anything more than lip-service. I ended up receiving a new glass back window from a local supply house, who were more than attentive in explaining that my back shocks (upon the hatch) had worn out, who also delivered my glass to me, installed upon my front drive, and charged me what was ½ the price of what my dealership offered. This worked out pretty well for me--- I paid what I thought was a fair price, had it explained to me what the problem was, and moved on into my afternoon (still awaiting word from Chrysler) with a healthy Jeep, a clear conscience, and a promise to NEVER so much as purchase a sparkplug from anyone other than the independent little man, who’s attention to detail and personable sales assistance are a millennium further along than the hapless, hopeless “professionals” at Chrysler. Thanks so much for your inattention and your lack of focus. I bid you adieu, and I will NOT see you “on the showroom floor.” Love those ads, Jeff! I laugh at them whenever my friends and I cackle to your voice on 810AM.

We own a 2007 Chrysler Dodge Caravan. Like it very well. My question is how many have had rear window disintegrate shatter in millions of fragments. We had one in the 90s we used it a lot and sold it after the rear window did the same thing. Both cars were just sitting in garage. we happened to be working near heard a strange pop, looked up and glass was shattering and flying everywhere.

After you review I would like to hear from you regarding this.

I just bought a new 011 Dodge Journey (what a POS)It is only a month since we bought it!!! I had to take it back to the dealer 3 times because the transmission would not shift(auto) Now the touch screen & radio does not work 1/2 the time......I have bought Chyr. products for over 2 decades......I will NEVER buy anything that Chrysler builds. I wish Chyr. would buy this thing back and let their engineers check it out! Cecil Davis Elkhart TX

We just bought a 011 Dodge Journey It will be the last Chyr. product we EVER buy! It has already been to the shop 4 times and it still has the paper dealer tag on it, We bought it on 3-17-2011 This "made in Mexico" is a POS.......DO NOT BUY ONE! I have owned Dodge's for 2 decades.

Wow! Please don't buy Chrysler, their product is poor and their customer service is even worse! We bought a town and country due to haveing four children, I wanted a Honda Odyssey but my husband wanted to buy American. We've had nothing but issues since buying and in three weeks I'll of had it a year! I would trade it in but its worth so little, how can a vehicle depreciate so quickly? So buyers remorse and I have let everyone I know not to buy Chrysler, and seeing that my family is involved in PR, marketing, hospitality and healthcare I'm making sure to get the word out. My husband recently needed a new car and guess what? We bought a Honda! Best decision ever, customer service is fantastic and reliability is awsome not to mention value for your $$.

I bought my 2011 dodge ram at center dodge in cedarlake in. I like the truck, but I found out I can't pull my camper/toy hauler without a weight distribution hitch. Now here comes the complaint.. I had a 09 ram heavy duty. It pulled the trailer with no problem, but being a hd it rode like a log wagon, and sucked down gas to the tune of 5 miles a gal. So I went to center looking for a 2500 diesel[ the 10s and 11s ride much better] they didn't have any in stock. So the salesmen ask's me does it has to be a diesel? I explained about the bad mileage and rough ride. He told me the new ram 1500 can pull my trailer no problem. Well he was wrong, the front end almost feels like its going to come off the ground. this is why I need the dist. hitch. the hitch only costs around 250 to 300.00, which consider that big a deal. But I think they owe for the hitch seeing how they said it would tow my trailer as is. But no, they won't even pay half. So they would lose as a customer wether than work with me. No use complaining to chrysler, they don't care either. I have been a union man half my life and I used to beleive in buy american, But dodge, chevy, and ford has proved to me they don't care wether you buy a car or truck from them or not. Its sad, but goodbuy dodge hello toyota.
